(Description of Kupel: A pure black lion, with a black mane that has a single purple bang just like Kion's mane, as well as purple eyes that seem to glow in a full moon.
...
Zira cleans her claws as she gets done killing a hyena that she planned to eat for dinner, when another that lion walked behind her, "Yes Walinzi?" She asks glancing back at the lion.
"I have something to report my queen." He says getting Zira's attention.
"Yes? What is it?" She asks hoping that it's important.
"One of the lionesses in our pride had two cubs." He says making Zira get up and turn towards him.
"And why is this important?" She asks tilting her head.
"Because the lioness who just had the cubs died." He says and Zira bows her head.
"And which lioness was this?"
"It was Shanzti." Says Walinzi making Zira's eyes go wide.
"She was the best warrior." She says with sadness in her voice, then she shrugs, "We'll replace her, like we always do. Now get to raising those cubs, I have high hopes for them. After all they are the cubs of the best warrior in the Outlands."
"Of course." Says Walinzi turning around but stops before running back to the pride, "What shall we name them?"
"Depends on what the father decides." She says.
A few seasons later...
Kupel gets in his fighting stance as a larger lion approaches him, fangs showing, "Good young one, you have fight in you." He says just before lunging at the cub smacking him to the side with ease, "But that won't help you in the long run."
"Yeah but I'm not planning for it to." Kupel says before sitting up and shaking off the dirt from his pure black fur, "I plan to use this!" He yells before lunging at the bigger older, and biting him on his eye, not letting go.
"GET OFF! GET OFF!" He yells trying to shake the cub off, but all he does is make the grip tighter, "GET OFF!"
"THAT'S ENOUGH!" Yells a voice making Kupel let go of the other lion, as he turns to see a light brown lion with a granite pattern with a mane as black as the night.
"Master." Says Kupel bowing down with the older lion, but the lion ignores him.
"Haifu what happened to your eye?" Asks the lion.
"The brat bit it." He growls glaring at Kupel who just smirks.
"It's not my fault that you're weak." He laughs, making Haifu take a step forward before their master glares at them.
"That's enough!" He yells catching their attention once again, "Right now you two need to get sleep, because tomorrow I have a big task for you."
"Of course Walinzi." They say bowing once again and part ways.
Later...
Kupel opens his purple eyes to see a pure white lion leave the cave, "Kupuuza what are you doing?" He asks stopping the lion cub in it's tracks.
"How did you see me?" Asks Kupuuza, "I thought you were asleep."
"First off, you're loud as a herd of elephants." Laughs Kupel, "Second you're as white as the moon." He says getting up, "I can't believe that you're my brother."
"Well you gotta believe it sometime." Laughs Kupuuza.
"So why are you awake so late?" Asks Kupel walking towards his brother, "It's the middle of the night."
"I was gonna get a drink of water." He says but Kupel just laughs.
"Sure you were." He says still laughing, "You were gonna go see that girl weren't you?"
"NO!" He yells blushing but Kupel just smiles.
"Sure." He says rolling his eyes, "Whatever."
"Okay I was." He says looking down; jumping when Kupel just nuzzles him, "What the hell?"
"Have fun." He says turning around yawning, "I'm gonna go back to sleep."
"Thanks." Kupuuza says before running off.
Kupel lays there listening until he doesn't hear footsteps anymore, "So now what?" He asks as he glances back into the shadows, "We gonna fight or what?"
"You read my mind." Says a voice from behind him and Kupel gets up to face the stranger.
"I'm ready when you are." Says Kupel just before the stranger lunges at him; dodging he slashes at the stranger making direct contact to his side.
"You're skilled." Says the stranger, "But one hit isn't enough to defeat me."
"I would disappointed if it did." Says Kupel smirking just before charging the stranger. They collide; claws and fangs making contact with skin and fur, "You're good, but just because you're a girl doesn't mean I'm gonna go easy on you." He says just before lunging at the stranger faster than she can see, knocking her to the ground, "And now time to finish it."
Kupel raises his claws ready to finish the stranger when his brother walks back in, "Kupel what are you doing?!" He yells making Kupel hesitate giving the stranger enough time to lunge up and towards Kupuuza; slicing his head off swiftly she runs off, all in one foul swoop.
"Brother!"
And that concludes chapter one of this story, but there are many more to come.
