Chapter 3: A Relic of the Past?

" Who are you?!"

"I am Angel."

There stood before him. An angelic being, a face young with beauty. Skin as white as milk. Golden locks put neatly in a bun and clothed in the finest silk there is. There laid a silver headband with a sapphire jewel upon her forehead. She wore no shoes, but golden anklets and her wings were spread out about her from behind.

'Angel' Jin thought. In his human state of mind he was confused, but Devil on the other hand was very disturbed.

"You're supposed to be dead! You dare have the gall to show your face in my presence?!" Devil spat.

'Angel' Jin thought again. He shook his head. "Whoever you may be, what business do you have with Kazuya? I take it that you can deal with him in the afterlife once I'm through killing him."

"I'm his guardian angel, or I should say in the past." Angel said simply. "But I'm here for something else I may add. So therefore your antics must be put aside."

Jin grew dizzy all of a sudden. The anger that Devil had welled up inside him didn't help either. All of his emotion were piling up as they were about to explode his head off. Of all the things he was hearing. Guardian Angel? For Kazuya? Where was she when Kazuya abused his mother? Where was she when Kazuya went about his evil deeds? What is she here for exactly?

'This is a dream. This is a dream' Jin kept saying to myself. His emotions were in a frenzy and becoming angry and confused at the same time. He ran his fingers through his thick jet black hair that seems to defy gravity as his father's hair was the same.

Angel, calm as can be, studied Jin up and down. "You're definitely the son of Jun, yes?" she said softly. According to her plan, she got Jin's attention as he turned his head towards her at the sound of his mother's name. 'So she knows her after all' he thought. He couldn't mutter out a response, because it was as if his words were clogging up his throat. Taking his silence as a yes, Angel continued on.

"You have some of her features" she smiled softly,"And your father looks too." She added.

"I'm nothing like that bastard!", Jin growled. His words were finally resurfacing.

"I never said you were like him, I said you look like him do you not?"

Jin didn't say anything. He just glared at her as if she had spoken forbidden words. He had to admit he did look like Kazuya, but that was too painful to admit. The one factor he also hated about himself. What he didn't understand was why was her presence making him feel so uneasy. He realized that he had been in the same spot since she appeared. Not even an inch did he dared to move. It was like her cerulean eyes placed a spell on him.

Seeing how uneasy Jin was, Angel extended her arm towards him. "May I come closer to you Jin? I want to get a better look at you."

Jin hesitated.

"Don't you even dare!" Devil hissed. "You belong to me. Not to that robe wearing bitch!"

He didn't know what to do. Sweat began to trickle from his forehead as he began to involuntarily shake too. He stood his ground. The forces of good and evil was weighing down on him causing him to feel fatigue.

"You stay where you are. I am your savior and the only one that can help you. You hear me!"

'Quit interfering my thoughts.'

"Well since you're having some trouble moving, I'll just come to you."

Angel walked gracefully towards Jin and as soon as she approached him, she reached out to touch in. Jin just froze. For someone as powerful as him he never felt so scared. It was like time stopped and his very breath dared not to leave his body. He just stared at her with scared, angry, confused eyes.

"Don't you touch him, you bitch!"

Not heading any of Devil warnings, she touched his shoulders. Jin stood paralyzed under her gaze, her touch. Her hands began to glow as she moved them towards his chest. Pain surged throughout Jin's entire body all of a sudden.

"No! What are you doing!? What have you done!?"

"Something I should have done 20 years ago! My powers have surpassed you Devil, so give it up!"

She pulled her arms back bringing along a dark aura that resided inside Jin. He screamed in agony both painfully and spiritually. What was she doing? Was she helping him rid of the Mishima blood? Or was she going to kill him!? He tried to move his arms but to no avail. He tried to step away from her grasp, but his legs wouldn't budge. Maybe this was it. This was the end of Jin Kazama. What topped it off was that he was content about. 'I am the last generation of the Mishimas. It's better off that I am elimitated' He thought.

Angel pulled the last of devil free from Jin's body. With some some struggle she finally did it. The jewel on her forehead began to gleam bright as energy was flowing inside of it. With her battle cry, she released the energy and blasted Devil right in his third eye.

"This...isn't..the last of..me, you hear." he said weakly as his presence finally vanished.

Jin dropped to his knees catching his breathe. So she wasn't going to kill him. His body ached like it was going through withdraws. "What did you do?" he managed to say.

Without looking at him, "Devil is no more of a threat to you. You don't have to worry about him anymore." She looked at him and smiled softly. "Now we can get back to business.

'Business'. What does she mean by that? Is she really going to kill him this time?

"Don't worry. I'm not going to kill you off. You can relax."

No way. She reads minds too. Jin mentally slapped himself forgetting that he was in the presence of an Angel so of course she can understand what was going on in his thoughts. Looking at the shocked and confused Jin, Angel quickly got to the chase of her duties and why she came forth to Jin in the first place.

"Jin, may I ask what is it that makes you hate your father?" she said simply.

Finally getting a hold of himself, he looked at her as if she said something even more crazier. 'She's got to be joking.'

Angel waited patiently for his response. It looked like he had to gather so much thought to put it into an answer.

"He's a rotten son of a bitch, that's what he is." He finally said with much anger.

"How so?"

"How so? How so?! Are you really asking me how so?! You're his so called guardian Angel and yet not know of the crimes he committed? He raped and abused my mother and possibly other women too. He left my mother to raise me alone. He took away innocent lives and cursed me with the devil gene that courses through my veins. Or did, but still. All the torment and unfortunate events that led throughout my life was all because of him. There! That's my reason. That's why I hate him. That's why I..I..I.." he couldn't continue. He felt his eyes sting with tears threatening to fall out. "HE'S A NO GOOD SON OF A BITCH! i WISH HE WAS DEAD ALREADY!"

Angel looked at him in pity. She bent down and wrapped her arms around him, bring him into a tight embrace. To her surprise he didn't reject her. She held him as if he was a lost boy. Her touch was the final push and Jin just wept in her arms. The pain he had held for so long was released. He cried til no more tears were able to come out. Angel just held him with her gentle touch. To Jin, her embrace felt just like the way his mother would hold him. The warmth and comfort he long of her and now it was as through Angel has the same touch of his mother.

"Did you let it all out, Jin?"

He nodded. Quickly wiping away the streak out tears and ashamed of his weakness being shown.

"Tell me. Didn't you take innocent lives away from people, while running the Mishima Zaibatsu and don't they hate you for that too? And have enemies just like Kazuya?"

Jin was silent. He knew she was right. He was acting like just like his father, then. And now look at him, pointing out all the things his father had done that he had done too. Except rapping and abusing women. But he still had the right to hate his father.

Taking in all the silence Angel stood up and spoke. "Shall we go?"

"Go where?" Jin look at her in confusion.

Angel looked at Kazuya's unconscience body. "A past that holds the truth, you've longed to seek." she spoke softly.

"The past?"

Angel fought the urge to pinch the bridge of her nose. 'He really can't see the obvious'. She grabbed his arm bringing him back to his feet. "You'll see when we get there." She led him towards Kazuya's body.

"Now close your eyes and we shall be on our way."

Jin did what he was told without any questions. Then there was a flash of light that engulfed them. They disappeared.
