Hilda's Family
it was nice sunday afternoon Hilda, David and Frida were playing in the park when hilda sees a man with blue hair walk by. She knew who this man was. she yelled at him excitedly.
Hilda: Dad!
Hilda Ran up to the man and gave him a hug.
Hilda's Dad: oh, Hi Hilda I wasn't expecting to see you here?
Hilda: me and mum moved here few months ago.
Frida and David walk up to the man and talk to him.
Hilda: dad, these are my best friends Firda and David.
David: hi.
Frida: it's very nice to meet you.
Hilda's dad: Hi, look Hilda i have to go.
Hilda: Wait, Please can do something together?
Hilda's Dad: No.
Hilda: Please? just an hour?
she said looking at him pleadingly.
Hilda's Dad: ugh, fine I'll take you to the restaurant down town. just let me get my wallet.
Hilda: ok, you promise you'll be right back?
Hilda's dad: I promise.
Hilda: ok' I'll wait here.
Hilda's dad turned around and walked away.
Frida started talking to Hilda.
Frida: your dad seems nice how come I've never met him before?
Hilda: well, my mum says he left before I was born.
David: so you've never even seen your dad before this?
Hilda: no not really. but my mum did show me pictures of him and her when I was young. I'm just really excited to spend sometime with him now.
30 minutes pass
Frida and David were sitting on the roundabout while hilda was still standing looking excitedly at the street.
Frida: he's been gone for a bit.
Hilda: he's just a little late. He'll be here soon he promised.
1 hour later
David and Firda have moved around a bit but Hilda just stayed standing looking at the street still smiling.
Frida: Hilda it's been an hour and a half are you sure you want to keep waiting?
Hilda: of course I do. he'll be here any moment he promised.
2 hours later
David and Frida were starting worry about Hilda she hadn't moved sence her let 3 hours ago.
David: hilda it's getting dark maybe we should go home?
Frida: our parents are probably wondering where we are.
Hilda snaped back: NO! he's coming he promised he would.
David and Frida just sat there suprised but they couldn't just leave Hilda so they stayed longer.
3 hours later
David and Frida knew what was going on. They just looked at Hilda standing there until Frida said something.
Frida: Hilda... are you ok?
Hilda: ...
Frida: Hilda?
Hilda turned around to look at them. hilda was frowning, tears in her eyes and about to cry she just whimpered.
Hilda: H... he Promised...
Frida and David hugged hilda. Hilda started sobing uncontrollably as David and Frida tryed to confort her. 20 minutes later David and Frida walked Hilda home they felt like it was the least they could do. Hilda's eyes were red and there were tear srains on her cheeks it was a 10 minute walk home both Frida and David tryed to confort her but it didn't help. eventually they made it to Hilda's house they siad their goodbyes and Frida and David went home. Hilda opened the door and went straight to bed her mother was at work and Alfur was working on some paperwork in another room so she went to her room and started crying. twig jumped on her bed sensing she was distressed and tryed to confort her but no matter what this was on of the worst days of hilda's life.
