Chapter 7
The new Alliance
As Gypsy Avenger is making their way back towards Tokyo; Raleigh receives word from Mikki about what to do next, and he can't believe what he has to do. Mako looks at Raliegh when he hears what it is.
"What is it we have to do?" Mako asks
"We have to form an alliance with Godzilla" Raleigh says in shock about hearing that.
"Why is that?" Mako asks.
"Because it appears that only by working with him; are we going to be able to defeat these monsters. We have to show him that we mean him no harm, and that we are hear to help" Raleigh explains.
Meanwhile near Tokyo beach Godzilla is helping Zilla, and Gamera make it to the surface; since they got attacked by Zigra. When he makes it to the beach, he sees a jaeger approaching them; feeling territorial Godzilla growls at the mech. Gypsy Avenger puts his hands up; to show that they mean no harm. Godzilla continues to roar, and growl at the mech not letting them approach them.
"How are we suppose to let him know we are on his side; if we can't get near him?!" Raleigh wonders.
Mako looks a little bit past Godzilla, and sees that he is trying to protect Zilla, and Gamera. Seeing this Mako taps Raleigh, and shows him the two wounded monsters. Seeing this they make Gypsy Avenger back away from him, and Raleigh makes another call to Mikki.
"Can you tell me why we want to help these kaiju?" Raleigh asks Mikki over the radio.
"Well I just talked to the priestess of Mothra, and according to them the monsters such as Godzilla, Zilla, Gamera, and Mothra are guardian monsters. They are there to make sure that the earth remains in balance. Basically, they are there to protect our home from these invaders" Mikki explains.
"We're trying to protect our home as well; at least that is one thing that we have in common" Raleigh replies.
"Look in order to beat the invaders we have to help the king fight off their army of monsters; to do that we have to show them that we are on the same side." Mikki replies.
Meanwhile in the ship above the earth; X looks down onto earth, and sees just what is going on down there.
"Hmm very interesting, let's see if we can disrupt this little alliance." X thinks to himself as he pushes some buttons releasing a monster from its cage. The monster known as Gyaos makes its way towards earth; along with a whole flock of her kind.
"Heads up guys I just got a reading of a large quantity of kaiju heading your way, and from the looks of it; it might be a whole flock of them." Mikki tells them.
"How many are there?" Mako asks.
Mikki does a quick scan to see how many there are, and it turns out that there is a huge swarm of them heading for Godzilla. Gamera sensing what the enemy is; lets out a loud roar.
"Wait Gamera senses something." Mikki says as she attempts to look inside the mind of the guardian kaiju.
Inside the mind of the guardian Mikki starts to see what the monsters are; a swarm of gyaos is heading right for them. Mikki gets on her headset, and warns them as to what is coming.
"Guys you need to be ready; cause there is a swarm of gyaos heading your way." Mikki warns them.
"Alright Mako be ready" Raleigh says as the Jaeger gets into its battle position.
At that moment Gamera decides to lay next to Godzilla, and he starts to glow.
"Raleigh what the heck is that turtle doing to Godzilla?" Mako asks as she sees Gamera beginning to glow around a weakened Godzilla.
Raleigh looks at the glow, and notices some strange reading between Gamera, and Godzilla. Releigh contacts Mikki, and tells her about the strange readings they are getting from the two kaiju. Mikki looks at the readings, and notices something about the two alpha kaiju.
"Huh if I'm right than what Gamera is doing is helping Godzilla. It looks to me that Gamera is giving Godzilla some of his lifeforce; basically he is giving Godzilla some of his life, so that Godzilla can be strong once again." Mikki explains.
"Why would that kaiju do that? That is so unlike the kaiju we have faced before" Mako asks
"Well see these two are basically the alpha kaiju, and they care about the earth. I know you may not see them as that way but think of the earth as their home, and they are trying to protect it" Mikki explains.
"Well then it sounds to me like we are on the same side" Raleigh replies.
Godzilla begins to stir, and gets up, when he sees the swarm of gyaos heading right for them. Feeling stronger Godzilla lets out a loud roar to the gyaos; as if challenging them to come fight. The lead Gyaos lets out a loud reply, and heads right for the king. But, before the gyaos could even make to Godzilla; Gypsy danger pulls out one of the swords, and blocks the gyaos from attacking him. The gyaos not use to seeing a mech; decides to fire its sonic scalpel at the mech.
Mako lets out a cry of pain as the scalpel hits one of the arms; causing it to fall off. Gypsy Avenger leans over as the right arm comes off from that hit from the bat like kaiju. The lead Gyaos again goes in to attack Godzilla; only for it to stop when it realizes that something has happened. The gyaos stares at Godzilla while it has an expression of shock; it then looks down, and notices what has happened. In the abdomen of the gyaos a sword has pierced it right in the middle.
The lead gyaos lets out a cry of pain as it realizes that it has been stabbed. At that moment Gypsy Avenger pulls the sword out the gyaos, and the gyaos falls down dead. The jaeger pushes the dead kaiju out of the way, and looks at Godzilla like it is waiting on something.
"What do you think? You think we showed him that we are on his side?" Raleigh asks Mako.
"We shall see" Mako replies.
At that moment the wrist sword of the jaeger draw back in, and the jaeger presents Godzilla with a handshake; seeing if Godzilla is on the same side. Godzilla looks at the mech unsure of its intensions, but decides that he needs an ally for this fight. So, Godzilla decides to shake the jaeger's hand accepting the temporary alliance. After that both Godzilla, and Gypsy Avenger turn to face the oncoming gyaos swarm heading right for them; Gypsy Avenger reaches down to pick up the cut off arm, and manages to interlock them together again. At that moment the jaeger deploy the twin chainsaws on the arms.
The two allies begin to charge towards the battle; meanwhile another roar can be heard in the distance making its way towards them.
"What the heck was that?" Raleigh asks as they both look around for the source of the roar.
Suddenly something huge flies overhead of them, and causes hurricane force winds as it flies over them. The huge flying thing is followed by a fellow ally who has come to help her earth defender king. Mothra comes flying in, and using her wings sends some of the gyaos back. The other one fires a uranium beam at the flock of gyaos. The gyaos start to scatter when the two monsters start to fight back against them.
"Mikki do you guys have any idea who the other monster is that is helping Mothra?" Raleigh asks.
"I believe that is Rodan; one of the ancient earth defenders. Like Godzilla, Gamera, Zilla, and Mothra these ancient monsters are fighting to protect their home against any invaders" Mikki replies.
"Well then I guess we are on the same page than" Mikou replies.
Gypsy Avenger whips out the sword, and starts to join in the fight to save the earth. Meanwhile Godzilla fires his atomic breath; eliminating some of the gyaos. However, the gyaos start to become more drawn towards him, and try to latch onto him. Godzilla feeling a little irritated by these pests; unleashes his nuclear pulse cause the gyaos to perish. Godzilla looks around, and seeing that there are no more gyaos in the area lets out a roar of victory.
Meanwhile on the ship X sees what is going on down on the planet earth, and starts to have a meltdown after seeing Godzilla defeating all those gyaos.
"grrr how can I become ruler of that planet; when I can't defeat that stupid lizard!" X says in a rage.
"Maybe you should see if your project that you unleashed earlier is done being repaired." Vorticia says as she tries to comfort X.
"Maybe you are right" X replies as he pushes some buttons on his chair console. "What is the status of Oblivion?"
"He is all repaired, and ready to be deployed" the trooper replies.
"Excellent deploy him now! Now Godzilla you have faced him before, and was lucky; let's see how well you do now" X replies.
At that moment the hanger bay doors open, and Oblivion falls out. As he is falling towards earth; he deploys his jet like wings, and glides towards where Godzilla, and his allies are. Hearing the loud sonic boom of Oblivion entering the upper atmosphere; Gypsy Avenger looks towards the sky, and sees something that looks like a big fireball coming towards them. Gypsy Avenger gets battle ready; by whipping out the two swords ready for battle. Godzilla gets ready for a fight as his spines start to glow a light blue trying to intimidate Oblivion.
Oblivion lands in the city with a huge explosion; he lets out a low growl at the two kaiju who are ready to fight. Oblivion unfurls his mighty wings, and lets out a loud roar. Godzilla unleashes his atomic breath upon Oblivion, but Oblivion raises his shields. Godzilla stairs a bit confused as to what just happened; before Oblivion fires a blast just as powerful back at Godzilla. Godzilla howls in pain as he is pushed back by the blast; by that Gypsy tries to help Godzilla by charging towards Oblivion.
Oblivion seeing this attack coming; fires the same blast at Gypsy Avenger. Gypsy Avenger gets pushed back a little way; but is otherwise not too badly damaged. At that moment Gypsy Avenger decides to fire some missiles at Oblivion, and they hardly phase the monster. Oblivion looks at Gypsy with a bit of hatred in his eyes, and fires his own version of the missiles. Having gotten hit by the missiles Gypsy Avenger goes down hard to the ground. Raleigh looks to see how Godzilla is doing, and sees that the blast has weakened him.
Feeling a little sorry for this king of monsters; Raliegh tries to get Gypsy Avenger to crawl over towards their ally. However, Oblivion has his foot clamped on the jaeger's back, and is about to fire his Oxygen beam.
Off in the smoke a loud bellowing roar can be heard, followed by a screech. Oblivion looks around as he is confused by what he is hearing. Godzilla, and Gypsy look up to see where the sound is coming from. They are surprised when they see, Rodan, Mothra, Zilla, and Gamera charging their main attacks towards Oblivion. Zilla fires his green atomic breath at Oblivion, Mothra lets loose her antenna beams upon Oblivion, Rodan fires his plasma beam upon Oblivion, and Gamera unleashes his manna beam from his shell. Oblivion wheezes in pain from the attack from the monsters, but is not down yet.
At this point Oblivion's eyes start to emit a purple glow; as he is storing up energy for a powerful attack. Mothra knows what to do to stop this attack, and she knows that it could cost her. Mothra rushes towards Oblivion, and starts to cover the kaiju in scales. Oblivion lets out a gutteral growl; as the scales begin to irritate him. Observering from the moon; X wonders what that insect is doing.
Oblivion at that moment fires his oxygen destroyer beam at Mothra despite the scales swirling around. The beam manages to hit Mothra killing her, but also backfiring on Oblivion. Oblivion howls in pain as the beam hits him as well; X screams in defeat as he knows what is going on.
Well sadly in order to defeat Oblivion, and weaken him Mothra had to give her life. But, don't worry Oblivion will be defeated in this final battle in the next chapter stay tuned.
