RAEGAN MCCALL

"Okay, what's going on with you, Scott?" I turned around in the passenger seat to face Scott, having had enough.

He turned to give me a questioning glance before focusing back on the road. The four of us, including Isaac and Addie, were on our way to deliver some food to Mama McCall at the hospital.

"What do you mean?" Scott frowned, stopping at the red light.

I put my hand on his shoulder, giving him a sympathetic look. "You've been really quiet ever since the motel. Are you sure you're okay? You know you can talk to us—all of us," I motioned to Isaac and Addie in the backseat, "We're your family." I had thought that the depressed thoughts he had back at the motel were purely the effects of the mistletoe, but he had been acting uncharacteristically reserved the past couple of days.

"Yeah, Scott!" Addie agreed.

Isaac patted Scott from behind, "We've always got your back."

Scott gave us all a warm smile—the first smile in a while—and started driving again once the light turned green. "I'm okay, guys. Thanks for caring. It's just…" Scott glanced at Isaac through the rearview mirror. "Hey, Isaac… You know how you dated Sammy last year?"

"Yeah…?" Isaac asked.

"W-well, I was just, um, you know, wondering…" Scott trailed off.

"No, Scott. I don't have feelings for her anymore," Isaac smiled, understanding what Scott was getting at.

"Okay, good," Scott let out a breath. "I didn't want things to be awkward."

"Scott!" I hit his shoulder, grinning. "Have you finally realized your feelings for her?" I shoved a finger towards Isaac. "I told you, Isaac! I told you he had feelings for Sammy! You really think I don't know my own brother like the back of my hand? You so owe me twenty bucks!"

Isaac rolled his eyes.

"No way!" Addie shrieked, almost bursting my eardrums. "You like Sammy?!"

Scott winced and groaned, "You guys bet on it?"

"Of course," I scoffed. "When people doubt me, they should put their money where their mouth is."

Scott's face then turned glum. "Did you bet on her liking me back then? Because in that case, you lost badly."

"That's impossible," I shook my head. "I could've sworn she liked you. Especially since you two have been spending so much time together lately, you know, laughing and watching those cheesy shows all the time."

"I thought we were having a moment—you know, after everything with the motel—but apparently I read the room wrong. I leaned in but she totally swerved me," Scott sighed.

"That's… That's really weird," I frowned.

"Haha," Isaac laughed from the backseat. "Now we've both been rejected by Sammy." Seeing the glares he gets from Addie and I, he sinks lower in his seat. "Too soon…"

"This whole thing just sucks!" Scott exclaimed, ignoring Isaac. "I had a huge crush on her in middle school, and I started to fall for her again during the summer because she always knew how to cheer me up and everything. I thought she felt the same way, but I don't know anymore…"

"I just really don't understand why—whoa, whoa, whoa, what the hell?" I cut my sentence off when we arrive at the hospital and see lots of flashing red lights.

"That's a lot of ambulances," Addie states, peering out her window.

What the hell happened?

SAMANTHA STILINSKI

I was currently at the hospital, checking up on Melissa. My dad had said that there was some big accident. Well, that was part of the reason. I also wanted to see Scott. We hadn't really talked since he tried to kiss me. I like him, but I'm just too scared of ruining our friendship.

"Hey, Mrs. McCall!" I smiled at her. "Is there anything that I can help with?"

"Hey, Sammy. Did your dad send you here?" Mellissa asked, wrapping a bandage around the arm of one of the patients in the waiting room. Because of the huge accident and lack of enough doctors, there were many patients crowded around the hospital lobby.

Right when I was about to answer her, I saw Rae, Addie, Isaac, and Scott—who was carrying take-out Chinese food in his arms—walking towards us. I'm guessing it was dinner for Melissa; the McCall siblings often brought their mom dinner when she was too busy to get it herself. I had even accompanied them a few times. I saw Scott looking at me and I wanted to say something to him, but I didn't know what to say.

"Oh, thank God. I'm starving!" Melissa took the food from Scott, smiling. "Thank you for bringing me dinner."

I gave Scott an awkward smile. My plan was to act as if everything was fine. Worrying about whether it had succeeded or not, I was thankful when he returned a friendly smile back.

"Is everything okay?" Rae asked her mom, motioning towards all the people bustling around.

"Except for half the accident victims in a ten car pile-up being rerouted here from downtown, and the E.R. attending not answering any of his pages, yeah, I'm okay," Melissa huffed.

"What does not answering pages mean?" Addie asked.

"It means that nobody can find him, so now we have to wait for the on call to get here," Melissa answered before leaving to help another patient.

I hesitantly moved towards Scott to attempt a conversation with him. "Hey…" I gave him an awkward smile.

"Hi," Scott blushed.

I opened my mouth to say something but nothing came out. I didn't know what to say. I had to think quickly before I made things more awkward.

"Uh…Hi!" I looked towards Rae, giving her a sheepish smile. There was no doubt Scott had filled Rae in on what had happened because she gave me a knowing look, holding back laughter.

"Hi," Rae grinned.

There was an awkward moment of silence after.

"Hi," Scott said to Addie and Isaac, breaking the awkward moment of silence. Well, I think that he just made the moment even more awkward, if you ask me. I appreciated his effort though, so I grinned at him.

"Okay…." Rae laughed. "Now that we all said hi to each other why don't we talk about how-" Rae got interrupted by the sound of someone groaning loudly in pain.

We turned to see Danny being carried in by Ethan, who sat him down on one of the waiting room chairs.

"Danny!" Addie exclaimed, running over to him with the rest of us right behind.

"What did you do to him?" Scott glared at Ethan, pulling him aside. Melissa heard Danny and ran over to him to examine what was wrong.

"Nothing. He said he was having chest pains and trouble breathing," Ethan explained. "But it... it just kept getting worse!"

"This is not good. His larynx has shifted to the side. I think it's a tension pneumothorax—" Melissa was cut off by Danny suddenly bending over and puking onto the hospital floor. Small, green bits of leaves could be clearly seen in the vomit.

Ethan frowned and explained, "Mistletoe."

"I know you're not gonna believe me, but I didn't do anything," Ethan told us after Melissa had rolled Danny away on a stretcher.

"All I know is that the minute that you got here, you went right for Danny, and your brother went for Rae and then Lydia!" I gave him the stink eye.

"Yeah," Isaac fumed. "Why should we believe you?"

"Because we knew one of them was gonna be important to you guys, and now we know it's Lydia."

Before any of us could ask what in the world he was talking about, we heard a crash from outside the hospital.

|| Teen Wolf ||

"Hang on, hang on. They were both in the car?" Dad asked us all, including Stiles who had joined us once he had heard the dispatch call on his police radio.

"No, Dad, they're trying to tell you that it was two separate kidnappings, okay? Two doctors, both gone," Stiles stated.

"So whose car is it?" Dad questioned, glancing towards the car that had crashed into the hospital parking lot with no one behind the wheel.

"Dr. Hilyard, the on-call doctor. The E.R. attending is the one that never made it in," Melissa answered him.

"Let me just focus on getting your story first, all right?" Dad told Melissa. Both of them went away so Dad could ask her a few more questions about everything.

"These are definitely sacrifices, right?" Addie asked.

"Yeah," Stiles nodded. "It's the one Deaton mentioned. Healers."

"What about Danny?" Isaac asked. "He threw up mistletoe. That's not a coincidence, and if he hadn't been with Ethan, he probably would've died. Danny's not a healer."

We all pondered on it for a few seconds, when the intense look on my dad's face had said caught my attention. "Scott, can you hear that?" I pointed to my dad on the phone.

Scort turned towards my dad before turning back to us, frowning. "They found a body."

RAEGAN MCCALL

A loud gasp scared me awake and I sat up in bed, trying to figure out what was going on.

Oh, right. Scott, Isaac, Addie and I had decided to sleep in Mom's room last night because we were afraid of her being the third sacrifice. She was the one who had gasped.

"God, Mom," I rubbed at my eyes. "You scared me."

"I scared you?" she scoffed. "You guys are the ones in my room. What is this? A sleepover?"

I peeked at Addie's sleeping form on the other side of Mom then turned to look at the two big sleeping boys in the corner of the room. Scott was passed out on the recliner with Isaac by his side, asleep on a beanbag.

Well, so much for taking turns keeping watch.

"Boys?" Mom called out. When they didn't move, she repeated, "BOYS!"

They quickly sprung up, looking confused.

"What do you guys think you're doing?"

"Uh, we were watching over you," Isaac answered.

"We wanted to make sure you weren't the third sacrifice," Scott explained further.

"But all four of you were asleep," Mom gave us incredulous looks. "In fact, one's still asleep," she motioned her head towards Addie, who was still sleeping like the dead.

Scott stared at Isaac. "You were on watch last."

Isaac frowned, rubbing at his neck. "What are you talking about? You were on watch last."

"No, you were on watch last."

Isaac blinked before turning to us. "I might've been on watch last," he admitted.

"Way to go, doof," I rolled my eyes.

"My heroes," Mom laughed. "Wait, didn't you say they were all doctors? I mean, I haven't had an 'M.D.' recently attached to the end of my name, so I think I'm in the clear."

"Yeah, but it could just come under any kind of healer, Mom, and you were definitely a healer last night," Scott explained.

"Yeah, well, I'm not gonna be anyone's human sacrifice today, so all four of you get your butts to school."

|| Teen Wolf ||

After I was done getting ready, I was about to head downstairs when I heard Isaac on the phone. I paused in front of the room Isaac and Scott were sharing as Isaac ended the phone call. Scott was already gone because he and Addie usually rode together since they were the early birds and Isaac and I rode together since we were always running late. Well, more like I was always running late and Isaac always stayed back to drive me.

"Who was that?" I asked.

Isaac glanced up at me. "That was Boyd. Cora just told him that the Alpha Pack left their symbol on Derek's loft window, meaning they're coming for him."

"Oh, shit," I cursed. "I had forgotten all about what Ethan had said on the bus. About how he has to kill one of his own and join their pack or Kali kills him."

Isaac nodded, shrugging on his jacket. "I'm gonna drop you off at school and then head over to Derek's with Boyd to try to help Derek."

"Um, I think the fuck not. I'm not going to school. I'm gonna help," I cross my arms.

"Rae," Isaac groaned, pinching the bridge of his nose, exasperated with me. "Have you already forgotten what happened the last time you tried to help? The abandoned mall?"

"Okay, I know," I said calmly, trying to persuade him. "But listen, Allison's been training me. I'm getting much better with weapons."

"Training you?" Isaac repeated, bewildered.

"Yeah, I've been spending a lot of time with her lately. In fact," I grinned, "she might even replace you as my new best friend."

"Oh, please," Isaac scoffed. "Does she give you a ride to school every morning because you're a pretty princess that takes hours to get ready? Does she watch all your favorite movies with you? Does she play video games with you all night long? Does she carry you home at one in the morning when your drunk ass isn't even able to walk? Is she the one you go to in the middle of the night when you can't sleep? Does she-"

"Okay, okay, I get it," I cut him off, laughing. "You're my best friend."

He grinned.

"You know… right after Sammy."

The grin dropped.

"I'm kidding!" I surrendered. "Anyways, my point is that I'm getting better. I may not be able to physically fight werewolves, but I'm getting pretty good with weapons. Allison said so herself," I boasted. I pulled out two matching, shiny, silver knives I had hidden in my boots and showed him. "Butterfly knives," I explained, unfolding one of the knives to reveal the sharp blade. "She told me I could pick a weapon to keep so I chose these because the name sounded pretty."

"Okay, fine," Isaac shrugged. "Let's see what you got, then. Come at me."

I blinked. "What?"

"Come at me," Isaac beckoned. "If you beat me, you can come along."

"But…But I'll hurt you…"

"If you're so sure, come at me," Isaac nodded. "Just keep the knives sheathed."

"Okay, if you say so…" I trailed off, sheathing my weapons.

I got into the position Allison had taught me and immediately lunged at him, trying to hit him by surprise.

But… I completely missed him because of his quick werewolf reflexes and lost my balance. Fortunately, he caught me before I could fall on my ass. He stared down at me, our faces a little too close for comfort, as he held me in his arms and… and my heart started beating really fast.

What…?

I quickly sprung out of his arms and got into position again, trying to get what had just happened out of my mind. I came at him again, but he just blocked maneuver, after maneuver, after maneuver. I groaned out of frustration and embarrassment, giving up and just sitting on the bed. "Okay, fine. I get it. I'm still no match, but could I please come anyway? It's already too late to go to school and I'd just be worried about you the entire time anyway." It was time to use my last and greatest weapon on him. I morphed my face into the most pitiful pout I could muster.

Isaac took a deep breath, running his hands through his hair. After much consideration, he finally agreed. "Okay, fine. You have to promise not to get in the way though."

Hah! Works every time. The poor baby's just too gullible.

I locked my pinky with his. "I promise."

|| Teen Wolf ||

"Go back to school," Derek immediately called out from his place on the stairs as soon as Boyd, Isaac, and I entered his loft.

"Well, actually, we can't," Isaac called back, walking towards him. "We're all incredibly and unbelievably sick."

Derek snorted. "With what, brain damage?"

"You know, if you weren't including me in that quip, I would've said 'Good one'," I remarked, all of us coming to a stop in front of him.

"Rae and I both have a migraine," Isaac supplied, "and, uh, Boyd here has explosive diarrhea."

Isaac and I tried to suppress our snickers as Boyd tried to suppress his eye-roll.

Boyd took a deep breath and explained, "We're here to protect you."

"You're here to protect me?" Derek raised his eyebrows, making his way down the stairs. "Well, I'm in trouble then."

"You know, I'm very hurt that you have so little faith in us," I clutched at my heart, dramatically.

"Of course I don't, Rae," Derek rolled his eyes. "Especially in you. I almost died the last time you got involved, remember?"

Isaac saw my face drop and quickly changed the subject. "Actually, Boyd here came up with a plan."

Boyd nodded and began, "Yeah, I thought about the time Gerard had me and Erica locked up, tied up with electrical wires pushing currents through us. I was wondering how we could do something like that…" Boyd opened up the red bag he had brought in and pulled out a bunch of electrical wires. "But on a bigger scale." With Derek's approval, Boyd connected a hose to a water source and began flooding the lower floor of the loft. "In a pool of electrified water, it can take up to 50 milliamps to kill a normal human, less than the power it takes to turn on a light bulb."

"That's comforting," Derek grumbled, crossing his arms.

"If we disable the circuit interrupter in the building's electrical room, the current will keep coming, and anyone who steps foot in here, they'll get a pretty shocking surprise."

"Especially someone who's barefoot," Isaac added, turning to me, expecting my usual witty remark.

But instead, I asked, "Hey Derek, can I talk to you?"

Derek motioned for me to talk, but I headed to his room instead, hoping he'd follow. I was pleased when I heard his footsteps behind me. I knew it was pointless to talk somewhere else because the werewolves would hear anyway, but I felt awkward talking in front of them.

When I reached his room, I closed the door after he was inside.

"What's this about?" He crossed his arms, raising an eyebrow.

"Listen," I started. His façade cracked when he heard my uncharacteristically somber and serious tone. "I'm really sorry for what happened at the mall. I was being so, so stupid. I shouldn't have run into the fight head-first like that without thinking. I really thought you died, and I couldn't help but wish you hadn't saved me—"

He quickly cut me off as my voice cracked. "Rae, what you did was stupid," I lowered my eyes, "but, I understand that you were only trying to help your friends. Also, I don't regret saving you, so you shouldn't either."

"I'm sorry," I repeated. "I'm really glad that you're okay."

"That makes two of us," he muttered. "Though, if you learned your lesson, you wouldn't be here right now."

"I already promised Isaac that I would not get involved whatsoever," I quickly replied. "I really won't. I just wanted to come because I was worried…also, I hate school."

"Hey, at least she's honest," Derek gave a small smile, which was a huge deal for him. "You better not get involved. I'm not almost dying a second time. It was surprisingly not that fun the first time around."

"Who would've thought?" I grinned. "Now, let's go barbeque this bitch!"

SAMANTHA STILINSKI

My APUSH class was finally over. Thank God. I just couldn't handle Mrs. Winter droning on about Andrew Jackson again. I really wasn't paying attention to anything he was saying because I kept thinking about Scott. I was probably overthinking the entire situation with him. On one hand, I knew that I had feelings for him, but on the other, I didn't want to screw anything up. What if Scott and I break up and we aren't even friends anymore? Not only would it make it awkward for us, it would make it awkward for everyone else in the group too. I also didn't want to be clingy and annoying again—I liked that I was finally independent and didn't have to rely on boys for anything. And on top of that, I guess I was scared that I was the second choice again. What if I was just some rebound that he was using to get over Allison? Ugh. I wish this entire thing didn't have to be so complicated.

I headed into Physics with Mr. Harris. I had that class with Scott and, thankfully, Stiles, so I hoped that it wouldn't be too awkward. Stiles could just keep talking and I would go along with it. However, I noticed Scott was sitting alone and Stiles was sitting on the other side of the classroom, all the chairs around him taken. I must've forgotten that Mr. Harris split them up due to them always talking.

"Uh...Is this seat taken?" I asked Scott, pointing to the seat next to him.

"N-No!" Scott took his backpack from the seat. "Not at all. I was just...you know...saving it for you."

I gave him an awkward smile, "Uh...Thanks for doing that!"

"No problem!" Scott smiled.

"Good morning," Ms. Blake greeted, walking into the classroom. "As you all know, Mr. Harris is still missing... I mean, sick. Anyway, I'm filling in while we all hope and pray for a more qualified substitute to take my place. Okay, so let's get started, shall we?"

"Hey," Scott turned to me. "Can we talk about what-"

"My dad said that the E.R who attended wasn't strangled but died from asphyxiation," I interrupted him. I didn't want to talk about what happened with him now. Besides, there is more important stuff we need to talk about first. "They just don't know how."

Scott looked hurt, but went along with what I was saying. "Do you think the on-call doctor could still be alive?"

"I don't know…" I sighed. "But Scott, there's got to be at least 20 other doctors in that hospital... at least, you know? Any one of them could be next."

Scott's phone started buzzing and he frowned. Ducking under his desk, he murmured into the phone, "Hey, Doc. Sorry, I'm in class right now. Can I call you back later?"

I started to pay attention to Ms. Blake's attempt to teach us about some random formulas. God, I hated Physics with a passion.

Scott tapped me on my shoulder, breaking my concentration. "It's Deaton. He's been taken."

|| Teen Wolf ||

Stiles, Scott, and I were at the clinic explaining everything we knew about what happened with Deaton. Well, it was mainly Scott doing the explaining while Stiles and I were too busy trying to wrap our heads around what just happened. Things were getting way too overwhelming. Once Scott was done answering Dad's questions, he pulled Stiles and I aside to talk about everything.

"We have to tell him!" Scott stated.

"You mean, like, tell him, tell him, or tell him something else that isn't telling him what I think you want to tell him?" I rambled.

"You know what I mean…" Scott sighed.

"You remember how your mom reacted?" Stiles fought back. "She didn't look you in the eye for, like, a week!"

"And she got over it, and... and it actually made us closer," Scott said.

"I don't know, dude. I mean, look at him," Stiles shook his head, looking over to see Dad looking stressed, trying to solve everything. "Come on, he's completely overwhelmed as it is."

"He's overwhelmed because he has no clue what's happening. He's got people dying in his town, the town that he's supposed to protect, and it's not his fault that he doesn't know what's happening. He's gonna find out sooner or later," Scott argued.

"Yeah, but is now really the right time?" I questioned.

"What if not telling him now gets someone else killed?"

"What if telling him gets him killed, huh? I mean, okay, look, I get that Deaton's been like a father to you. I get that, okay? But this is m... Scott, this is our actual father. I can't... we can't lose both of our parents, all right? Not both of them," Stiles panicked. I put my hand on his shoulder in an attempt to comfort him.

"You guys are right," Scott sighed.

"No, we're not," I sighed. Telling him was probably for the best, but a difficult thing to do at this point. "We're not right. We'll tell him."

"I'll help you, Sammy!" Scott gave me a small smile. "I'll help both of you," he quickly added.

Stiles squinted his eyes at the both of us. Oh, God. I hope he doesn't jump to conclusions just yet.

"Please, whatever you need, however you can help find my brother," we heard Ms. Morrell say to Dad before she headed over to us. "Okay, listen closely, the three of you," she said to us. "No sheriff, deputy, or detective is going to be able to find him."

"You don't have to ask us for help," Scott said.

"Actually, I'm trying to help you, because if you're going to find my brother, then you need to use the one person who might actually have an ability to seek out the supernatural."

"Lydia," I realized. "It's Lydia."

ADELINE LAHEY

"Alright class, now your homework is to do problems #25-#46. Yes, I know that homework sucks, but remember that you have the entire week to do this, and my test will have very similar questions. Bye, now."

Hearing the bell that indicated that class was over, I gathered my things. Mason, who had already finished packing his things, stood by my desk before we both left the classroom.

"Man, I love Mrs. Robinson and all, but I seriously hate Calculus," Mason complained as we walked over to our lockers, "Why did I think that taking Algebra 2/Trig in 8th grade was a good idea?"

I giggled at his complaint and shrugged. "I don't know. But if I have to be honest, I kinda like math," I admitted.

"That's 'cause you're good at it," Mason sighed, "Oh, Addie, you're such a nerd."

"I'm not a...NERD!" I let out a squeal as arms wrapped around my waist and spun me around. I turned around to see Liam grinning down at me. "Liam!"

"You are definitely a nerd," Liam laughed, "That's what I love about you."

My heart skipped a beat and I tried to ignore the heat I could feel on my face. "Shut up, you doofus!"

"So, how was Calculus?" I turned back around, trying to ignore how Liam's arms were still around me, and saw that Corey had joined Mason's side.

"It wasn't too bad," Mason responded, "Just the usual math hating and boredom. How was Algebra 2?"

"Confusing," Corey admitted, "The teacher was going too fast, and I couldn't really comprehend it."

"Oh, that reminds me." Liam spun me around to face him again. "Addie, can you tutor me in math?"

"Um, sure, I can try," I agreed, "When do you wanna start?"

"Well, since school's over, do you have anything planned for right now?"

"I-"

"Yes, she does." The four of us whipped our heads around to see Stiles walking towards us. I noticed Stiles glance at Liam's arms that were still around me, and I suppose Liam noticed too because he quickly removed his arms from me.

"Um, what do you mean, Stiles?" I asked in confusion, kind of missing the warm feeling of Liam's embrace.

"I mean, you and Lydia were supposed to help me with a science project," Stiles said, giving me a pointed look, "Remember?"

"Oh, right, um, yeah," I stuttered. To be honest I don't remember, but I guess it has something to do with the supernatural or Deaton. "Sorry, I guess I forgot."

"It's fine," Stiles said, grabbing my shoulders and leading me down the hallway, "But we got to go now."

I turned my head around to wave to the boys. "Uh, bye guys. I'll text you later?"

"Uh, yeah. Bye Addie."

|| Teen Wolf ||

"Okay, these are Deaton's keys for the clinic," Stiles said, dangling the keys in front of us. Stiles, Lydia, Cora, and I were in one of the science labs. There was an ouija board in front of us that Lydia was supposed to use in order to find Deaton. "Close your eyes, and I'm gonna put them in your hand," Stiles instructed Lydia, "And then we're just gonna try and see if you can feel out for his location. It's called psychometry-"

"I'm not a psychic," Lydia pointed out. I can already tell by the look on her face that she was done with this shit.

"You're something! Okay?" Stiles snapped. Cora and I exchanged glances and she rolled her eyes. "Just, Lydia, put out your hand, and…" Before Stiles could finish with his instructions, Lydia closed her eyes and stuck her hand out.

Slowly, Stiles moved the keys to above Lydia's hand and dropped it on there.

"Hmm."

"What?"

"They're cold," Lydia said, opening her eyes. We made eye contact and I tried my best to stifle a giggle.

"Lydia, concentrate, please?" Stiles said in an exasperated voice, "Trying to save lives here, for the love of God."

"Stiles, calm down," I said gently, "I get this is stressful, but snapping at Lydia isn't gonna make her want to cooperate."

Stiles took a deep breath and nodded, "Look, I'm sorry for snapping, Lydia."

Lydia gave me a smile and nodded at Stiles, "Apology accepted. Now then…" She closed her eyes once more and wrapped her hand around the keys. Stiles, Cora, and I stared at her in anticipation. At the sight of her eyes scrunching in, Stiles leaned forward.

"Yeah, what is it? What do you see?" Stiles asked.

Lydia opened her eyes and shook her head. "Nothing."

|| Teen Wolf ||

"Automatic writing?" Lydia said slowly as she looked away from the pencil in Stiles hand to look at me in disbelief. I gave a shrug in response.

When Stiles gave a firm nod, Lydia just shrugged as well and took the pencil from him. She placed the tip of the pencil onto the paper and began to draw.

"Lydia, what are you doing?" Stiles questioned, "What—what the hell is that?"

"A tree."

"A tr-Lydia, you're supposed to be writing words, like in sentences, something like a location, something that would tell us where he is," Stiles shouted.

"Stiles," I called out, giving him a look that was to tell him to calm down.

"Well, maybe you should've said that," Lydia snapped.

"Isn't she supposed to be some kind of genius?" Cora questioned.

Lydia gave her a glare. "Genius? Yes. Psychic? No." Stiles let out a sigh of frustration as Lydia continued to speak. "Honestly, I don't know why you're even bothering with me anyway," she said, continuing to draw her tree, "I mean, especially since it's obvious you should be talking to Danny."

"What? Why Danny?"

"Because...last night, he was a target." At the sound of a new voice, we all turned to see Scott standing in the doorway. But that wasn't all—he was clutching a bleeding shoulder. "But it wasn't a sacrifice."

Author's Note:

Sorry for the somewhat long wait for this chapter. It was midterm season and it was so stressful. Anyways, now that it's spring break, I think that we should be able to write some more. With all the Coronavirus stuff that is going on, there is a chance that our college might shift to online classes. If it does, I think we should be able to update more. Anyways, I saw the movie "All the Bright Places" on Netflix and it was so good! I cried watching it! I kept thinking of Addie every time I saw Elle Fanning on-screen (oops!). - Mod S
