The Vacation

"Good Morning Titans!" Robins voice blasted through the speakers. Hunter groaned and rolled over as he looked at the clock. He sat upright when he saw the time

'Four AM! Is Robin crazy.' He thought as he got out of bed and put some clothes on.

Raven growled as the shrill speakers shattered her sleep. Her wardrobe threatened to topple over as she got up with irritation. She glanced at the clock and growled again causing the wardrobe to teeter precariously. She mumbled to herself in anger as she donned her robe and set out to slap Robin. On the way there she bumped into a hard object and nearly fell over before being caught by something.

"Sorry about that, Rave. Kinda groggy." Hunter said as he smiled at her. Raven blushed as she regained her footing and shot back.

"Watch where you're going next time, idiot." She smiled as Hunter mocked offense.

The pair continued to smile as they entered the living room at the same time. They were greeted by confetti, airhorns, and a massive party streamer that read 'We're Going To Hawai'i.' Hunter smiled slyly as he looked at Cyborg's smug face.

"Well? How do you lovebirds feel about a celebratory trip to Hawai'i?" Robin spoke as he walked up to the couple with plane tickets in his hand.

"Fair warning. If you decline, we're going to need a favor because the plane's leaving in thirty minutes." Cyborg added smiling.

"Let us all go to the Hawai'i." Starfire chimed in.

"Robin. I don't know what to say, man. Thank you." Hunter said as he grabbed the tickets. "I never thought you'd ever do something like this."

"I didn't either but Starfire convinced me." Robin said as he smiled. Raven stood there in shock. The strict boy-wonder had just spent his own money on a trip to Hawai'i just for Hunter and herself. Pinching herself she smiled at Robin and finally spoke.

"Thanks Robin. I know it's been rough between us but this really means a lot."

"Don't mention it Raven. We've all been working hard and deserve a vacation. Especially you guys." He smiled back slyly. Raven and Hunter both blushed as they looked at each other.

"Uhh, guys!? I hate to be the bearer of bad news but the flight leaves in twenty minutes." Cyborg called as he checked his wrist.

"Oh boy. Going to need some good ol' fashioned phasing to get us through this one, scoob." Hunter said in his best Shaggy impression.

"Was that...Scooby-Do?" Robin asked, confused.

"Wow, surprising me in all kinds of ways today, Robin. Indeed it was." Hunter said as everyone but Starfire started laughing.

Raven and Hunter then grabbed on to everyone and phased them directly to the gate. They walked up to the gate as a security guard looked at them confused for a second before realizing who they were and letting them pass. Getting on the plane with mere minutes to spare, the team grabbed their seats and prepared for take-off. Hunter and Raven sat together. Across the isle sat Cyborg, Robin, and Starfire. Raven smiled at Hunter abashedly as she buckled up and held his hand. He smiled back as he did the same. The other titans craned their necks to see the couple. Ignoring the snickers from Cyborg and Robin, Raven rested her head on Hunter's shoulder and started drifting to sleep.

The flight was long and most of it was passed by sleeping or watching cheesy movies on the seat-back screens. After what seemed like ages, the attendant came on to announce the ending of the final descent of the flight. Gently nudging Hunter awake, Raven looked over to see Cyborg powered down and Robin sleeping on Starfire's shoulder. She was smiling contentedly as Raven too, began to smile. The plane touched down hard causing Robin to jolt awake and Cyborg's emergency wake-up protocol to kick in. The two looked around, alert, before seeing their friends grinning and joining in.

After the long deplaning process, Cyborg pressed a few buttons on his arm and a small cube popped out. It unfolded to reveal the T-car.

"Dude, that's so freakin cool!" Hunter exclaimed as he went to open the door.

"Why don't you check the trunk first." Cyborg replied, smirking. Hunter obliged only to find all of their luggage already loaded into the car.

"Wait, how?" Robin asked.

"I iterated on miniaturization technology I developed for the suit to allow for quantum dwarfism of matter." He replied beaming.

"English?" Raven said, confused.

"Uhh, he made shrinking tech for his suit and then used that tech to make a way to shrink everyday objects. Keep up Raven." Hunter replied. Everyone stared at him in shock before Cyborg finally closed his mouth and replied.

"Yea, just about."

"Well, what are we waiting for? Let's go." Hunter said as he closed the trunk and walked towards the front of the car, "I call shotgun." He added.

"Is it just me or is BB actually smart now?" Cyborg asked Robin as they walked towards the car.

"I know. It's scary man. He's grown so much since he left." Robin replied, thinking.

As they drove along the seaside road leading to the condo they rented, they were greeted by the sun setting on the sea to the right and a beautiful line of palm trees and million dollar houses to the left. They all took pictures and laughed as they finally felt at ease after all the hectic events of the past few months. Raven sat in the back with Hunter just thinking about all that had happened. In one month she went from meeting Hunter to saving him, being saved by him, saving him again, finding out he was Beast Boy, and now dating him. It was surreal. Hunter too, did some thinking of his own. Not even two months ago he was training with Alyssa and the Primal Spirits. To go from that to being back on the team and dating Raven in such a short time made him wonder why he stayed away for so long in the first place. They were ripped from their thoughts, however, as a beachball came and landed between the two of them.

"Hey lovebirds, time to unpack." Cyborg joked as he parked the car. The two blushed as they got out and grabbed their suitcases from the trunk. Checking in and getting to the elevator faster than humanly possible, Cyborg and Robin seemed a bit too excited to get to their rooms. As they neared the rooms, Robin handed Hunter and Raven their keys.

"Sorry guys, due to budget cuts, you two are going to have to share a room." He said, smirking. Raven went red as Hunter shook his head and grinned.

"Damn budget cuts." He joked, looking at Raven for approval. She simply shrugged and smiled back. Hunter looked up to say something to Cyborg only to an empty hallway and hear three doors being slammed shut at once. He turned to Raven and asked, "Shall we?"

"Sure." Raven said all too quickly, opening the door and hurrying inside. The room was spacious with adequate room for both of them. The only issue, there was only one bed.

"I could take the couch if...uh...you want the bed?" Hunter said scratching his head.

"We can share the bed if you want. It...its big enough." Raven said, ducking her head and blushing.

"You sure?" Hunter asked, blushing.

"Yea. W...we are dating after all." Raven replied, awkwardly. They proceeded to unpack while reminiscing about their first few crime-fighting ventures. Laughing and smiling the whole time, they continued talking even after they had finished packing. Sitting on the couch next to each other, they sat, talking for hours. Eventually, Hunter was the first to feel tired. He yawned loudly.

"Yea. It's probably time to go to sleep." Raven said.

"Yup. Probably a good idea. I am really tired for some reason." Hunter replied as he got up. "I'll take the left side. More comfy on that side." He smiled cheekily.

"Jerk." Raven replied matching his smile. "You know, funnily enough, my powers haven't gone off even once despite me not even trying to hide my emotions right now." Raven added, puzzled.

"It must just be because you're with me. I've been known to make good things happen." Hunter shot back, jokingly.

"Probably. Best thing that's ever happened to me." Raven replied, blushing. Hunter smiled and got in bed. Raven followed suit and laid next to him. The two feel asleep nearly instantly, holding hands all the while.

(Meanwhile in Robin's room)

"Hah. I win," Robin exclaimed. Finally winning his first game of Uno for nearly two weeks. Robin did a little victory dance.

"Oh." Starfire replied, sadly. Robin instantly regretted beating her and stopped dancing.

"Listen Star, you'll get me next time. You're still awesome. You know that, right?" Robin said as he sat next to her, consoling her.

"Really?" She replied, eyes lighting up.

"Of course Star. You're the most special alien I know." Robin replied, blushing.

"Thank you Friend Robin." Starfire said as she embraced him in a crushing hug. Robin began to melt as he felt his heart explode with pleasure.

"A...anytime, Star. You're absolutely amazing and no one could ever convince me otherwise." Robin continued, blushing even harder.

"Oh. That is the most nice thing I have ever been told on this planet." Starfire replied as she too, began to blush.

"Really? I'd think anyone that spends any time with you at all should think that." Robin said.

"No. I was quite disliked here until I met the titans." Starfire said, solemnly.

"Well. All I know is that I'm lucky to have you on the team. You give me something to look forward to everyday." Robin said.

"Oh. You really mean it?"

"Star. I mean it more than anything in the world. If you weren't in my life, it wouldn't be the same. I wouldn't be the same." Robin continued. Starfire choked back tears of happiness as both of their blushes became stronger. "Starfire, I know it may be sudden but I want you to know something." He added.

"What?" Starfire asked in anticipation. She had been waiting for this for awhile now.

"Starfire. I...I love you." Robin said as he ducked his head in a rare moment of shyness.

"Friend Robin, I l...love you too." Starfire said as they both melted. They sat staring at each other for a good few minutes before embracing for a long while. Nearly five minutes later, the two parted and smiled at each other lovingly. Unwilling to leave his side, Starfire slept in Robin's room on the bed while he slept on the couch

The next morning marked the beginning of the actual vacation. Finally relaxing and unwinding for the first time in a long time, the team thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of the vacation. Raven and Hunter in particular spent most of it sitting next to each other on the beach and talking for hours. They talked for ages as the other titans went about swimming, playing volleyball, and doing other vacation-like activity. It wasn't until the last few days that the couple finally joined in on the fun. Before they knew it, however, the vacation had drawn to a close and it was time to return to their beloved city.

Raven and Hunter shared one final night in the same bed. Laughing and simply enjoying each other's company before returning to their hectic lives. Not sleeping until nearly 3am, the pair were rudely awakened by Robin's loud voice on their communicators.

"Alright Titans. We've had a lot of fun in the past few days but I need you all sharp because we have no idea what may be waiting for us back home. In order to avoid way for Slade to get wind of our return I want Raven and Hunter to work together to phase us back. The rest of us will start to pack while you guys figure it out." Robin announced. The pair collectively groaned as they rolled out of bed.

"I just realized that I haven't had a power surge since we got here." Raven said as she donned her cape and leotard.

"You know, I noticed that too. Not that I'm complaining." Hunter replied with a smile. 'Shall we tell her, young one?' Prime boomed in his mind. 'Not yet, buddy.'

"You may have fixed me, Hunter. Who would have thought?" Raven smiled back as she threw his suit at him.

"Well, what can I say? I'm just that good." He replied, "Now what do you say we do some badass long-distance teleporting?"

"The last time I did that, I nearly died." Raven said, matter-of-factly.

"You also didn't have my help though." Hunter replied as the duo walked out the door and met up with the rest of the titans.

"Great. You star-crossed lovers finally decided to join us." Cyborg teased.

"Shut up." Raven replied, blushing.

"Ready?" Robin asked, ignoring the banter.

"As we'll ever be." Hunter said. Hunter grabbed on to Cyborg's shoulder with one hand and held Raven's with the other. Cyborg in-turn grabbed on to Robin who then held Starfire. Starfire finished the make-shift group circle by grabbing on to Raven. Raven and Hunter closed their eyes and strained as they worked together to phase everyone home.

Mere minutes later, the titans appeared in their massive living room. They all cheered as Hunter and Raven smiled. Exhausted, the pair collapsed on the couch and promptly fell asleep. The others smiled at each other and shook their heads as they began to unpack.
