CHAPTER ONE
I, Eärendíl Half-Elven, have the task placed upon me to enscribe the journeys of my companions into this book. Our first quest was unforgettable. That is where I will start.
We were in Hellas, or Greece to foreigners, with our odd but merry party. There were the two rouges who were partners in crime: Carmen Robina the Toungeless Hobbit and Wesonfroy the Elf. The other elf in our group was Bobo, our monk, and his illegitimate Half-Elven Barbarian brother, Article 13. The real odd ones out were the Dragonborn brothers, Destrax Destroyer of Realms the Fighter and Silver of Speed the Sorcerer (a piece if work, he was). Finally, the least noticed member, and for good reasons, was me, Eärendíl Half-Elven, Cleric of Mandos.
For one of our friends, our first day going was his last. It was Silver.
We were about to set off to hunt the famed Calydonian Boar, and we went around the inn we were staying at asking for more information. Silver, who thought he was the tankiest of our group (even though he was a sorcerer!), got aggressive with a veteran. I saved him from that sticky situation, and enraged, he walked outside to set fire to a tree. He was caught by city guards, and nearly killed. Carmen and I went out to see what the commotion was, and saw Silver dying on the groung. I healed him and asked the guards what this was about.
They responded: "This Dragonborn was commiting arson, by destroying the king's trees. He can either come to the jail peacefully, or we kill him."
We thought this was reasonable, but Silver tried to push through us, and Carmen quickly knocked him out with a chop along the neck. The guards, much to my dismay, dispatched Silver, in front of Dextrax, who had just come out of the inn to see the problem. He thanked the guards, and I prayed over his copper-blood covered body. We soon buried him, and gained a new party member: the Human Paladin, Owen Glendower. We then continued our journey to slay the beast...
