Chapter 9: One Wrong
Point of View: Anastasia Steele
I walk into the grand room to see Christian sitting there on the couch. "You summoned me."
He looks up and takes a deep breath, "Ana please sit."
I look at him then the couch and back at him before sitting with at least two feet between us, "What is it? I usually don't get out of my bed this… early for anyone so consider yourself lucky Grey."
"I know I'm a very lucky man especially because I get to have you in my life. I've never done this sort of thing… I'm not too sure about what you want."
"What I want is for you to just tell me what I'm doing here at midnight."
"I miss having you around and well I was wondering if we could… be something?"
I raise and eyebrow, "Something? What kind of something? Do you mean relationship titles?" He nods his head, "Friend? Friend with benefits? Best friend? One night stand? Girlfriend?"
"Yeah that one let's go with the last one."
"Is that your way of asking?"
"I can't find the words to-"
I stand up and begin to walk out, "Until you actually ask me the answer is no to all the titles. Goodnight Christian."
-Four Days Later-
Point of View: Tiara Green
Being back in San Antonio felt good but almost like the calm before the storm. Part of me wanted this day to come and the other would like to avoid it all together. I want to see Ian but I want to avoid him, I want to see Tyler but I want to avoid him, and I want to be back in a teenager environment but sadly I've probably outgrown it.
I sit in my car for a moment trying to prepare myself for the possible colossal mess I created waiting for me in school. With a deep breath I get out of my car just as I hear the roar of a motorcycle pull up next to me. I smile the brightest I possibly can and try to push everything to the side for a moment.
"There's my favorite girl!" Tyler picks me up in a tight hug before kissing me in a way to make up for the all the days we've been apart.
"Someone missed me."
"Sure did. Do you mind coming with me to drop off all my make up work?"
"No not all."
He kisses me before we walk off hand in hand. I'm in a daze the whole time until we are walking towards the last stop at the end of a too familiar hallway. It's almost as if Tyler can sense a change in me since he squeezes my hand a little tighter. "How was school when I was gone?"
"You know school nothing special. Why do you ask?"
"We didn't talk that much and when we did it wasn't anything meaningful."
"Is that so bad? It just happened that way."
"You were talking like a teenager Tiara… you're not a teenager at all."
I glance up at Tyler who looks straight ahead so I decide to say nothing else. When we finally walk into the room all my anxiety fades away seeing an empty classroom. "Do you want to wait here or turn your work in later?"
Tyler looks at the wall clock, "I guess we can wait for a few minutes we have a little bit of time to waste."
I do my best fake smile, "Sounds good to me." Before I can suffer any longer in silence my anxiety kicks back in as I watch my life come to an end in slow motion.
I watch Ian walk as if nothing in the world could possibly bring him down. His eyes lock on mine and the smile that graces his face is nowhere near what I'm worthy of. I shake my head slowly knowing that he thinks I'm here to see him. His eyebrows furrow slightly until he enters the room and realizes what I was trying to do.
Ian's mood goes into a tailspin then dives straight down as he sticks out his hand to Tyler, "Nice to have you back Mr. Hoechlin. Good morning Miss Green."
I just nod as Tyler says, "It's nice to be back Mr. Somerhalder. I just wanted to drop off my makeup work."
Ian glances through the pages before placing it on his desk, "I'll grade it later thanks."
We all stand there in awkward silence that makes me blush when Ian starts to examine Tyler and I. The room gets uncomfortably hot when Ian's eyes focus on Tyler's fingers intertwined with mine. Just as I'm about to make up some bullshit excuse to leave, the bell rings signaling that we only five minutes until school starts.
"See you later Mr. S," Tyler says walking towards the door as I scuttle behind him.
"Yeah," Ian mumbles.
-X-
"Tiara Green please report to the office." I groan as I get up from the table and leave my second dose of Study Hall.
I go up to the counter waiting for the woman to get off the phone but she simply points to the little square of paper. I pick it up and read the request for my presence in Ian's room. With another groan, I walk down to what seems like the only hallway I'm ever in. My eyes linger on the camera in the corner and I can't help but think if the person watching notices how much I'm in this hallway. I peek in the window of the door before walking in and intentionally leaving the door open behind me.
"Don't you have a class?"
Ian shakes his head, "Planning period."
"Oh. Why did you call me down here then? Well a better question would be is this school related or something else?"
"Can you close the door please?" I reluctantly shut the door, "And pull down the shade as well if you don't mind." I glance back at him before doing as he says.
"I think I just got my answer."
"This is about Tyler. Why is he still around?"
"You mean why haven't I broken up with him?" I hesitantly make my way deeper in the room as Ian sits on the edge of his desk with his arms folded over his chest. "I just… I mean… can we please not do this now?"
"No let's do this now. The one time I'm not the bad guy you want to postpone the reckoning. You tell me now or I really will walk away and be done for good."
"What has gotten into you?"
"Do you think it's easy seeing him flaunt you around like a trophy?"
"Tyler is not like that."
"Oh so you're defending him now?"
"Yes I'm defending him because all you see is a guy with his hands on what you want and has had his dick in what you need."
"Don't get it twisted sweetheart I'm not the only one who needs a specific body part."
"Look Tyler is mine you are not going to interfere I have to handle it myself."
"You haven't handled anything!"
"Well if you keep this up I never will!"
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"You're an intelligent man Ian you don't even need to ask. Now would you excuse me I actually have work to do." I turn around and begin to walk out while throwing over my shoulder, "Don't be too surprised if I miss your class."
Review and all that good stuff please and thank you! Next chapter will have more Ana and Christian and Tiara will get into a sticky situation.
