Alice raised her head to look at whoever the approaching footsteps belonged to, it was Brutal

"Alice can I have a word?"

" Sure sit down grab a coffee" She said sliding tray towards him. Brutal sighed and rubbed his face with his hands, unsure of where to begin.

"It's about Percy" Brutal sighed as he poured a drink.

"Brutus he's in hospital, he's hurting so bad how much trouble could he really be causing?" Alice sighed, even when Percy had almost been killed they couldn't leave him alone.

"It's just...while I was sat with him he vowed he'd get his own back on WildBill for hurting him and I'm just concerned, both for the safety of Bill and Percy. It wouldn't look good if a guard killed a prisoner before sentence was carried out by the state"

"He wouldn't do that Brutus he's all talk, Percy isn't like that"

"I don't know Alice he's been humiliated, a humiliated man can get pushed to the edge over damaged pride, people have been killed for less"

"I'll have a word but I'm sure it's just his ego talking" Alice said noticing the concerned tone in his voice.

Alice's stomach still flipped every time she saw him lying in that hospital bed. Just the thought of him collapsing, covered in blood made her feel sick. Alice had grown to care for him so much but the act he put on infuriated her.

"Hay you" She smiled, sweeping some black strands of hair out of his face, he smiled back, she could tell he was exhausted and in pain.

"You could do with a shave Percy" She commented running her fingers across his dark stubble. Percy shook his head in response.

"It's not important now" Percy said, his voice was weak and croaky, Alice frowned with concern, this wasn't like him he always put huge importance on his looks.

"How about I just comb your hair then you used to like me doing that" Percy again shuck his head he had more important things on his mind.

"Percy what's wrong? This isn't like you, please talk to me" She said talking his hand into hers.

"Wild Bill's hurt me for the last time, soon as I'm out of here I'm going to make him pay" Alice was shocked, his tone of voice sounded different to normal, more sinister.

"Percy there's just me here you don't need to put up a front"

"I'm not, Bill's humiliated me for the last time, I'll get even" Percy hissed.

"Percy please listen to yourself, you're not like that"

"No? I'm fed up with being humiliated, I just need to get out of here"

"Percy you can't, you're going to get in serious trouble if not killed, I don't want anything bad to happen to you"

"I need to get even Alice, I just have to"

Alice sighed, fighting back tears. She was terrified of what Percy would do and what would happen to him in return. Bill was a dangerous man she knew he could cause serious damage if he had the chance

"Percy please don't do this, I don't want anything bad to happen to you, I don't want you to get hurt" Alice croaked trying not to cry.

"Alice I'll be fine"

"No you could end up in jail or worse Killed! " Alice snapped. "I care about you alot Percy I don't know what I'd do if I lost you" Tears started running down her face. Percy raised his other hand and gently wiped her tears away with his thumb.

"I'm sorry Alice, but I have to do this "

"Percy please, I love you please don't do this" Alice cried, she'd grown to love and care for him so much she couldn't bare to lose him.

"I love you too, I have done for so long" Percy sighed with frustration "Fine if that's what you want, I won't go ahead, no more lies, no more mask, just me as I am" Alice rubbed the tears off her face.

'Thats all I've ever wanted" Percy beckoned her to come closer, slowly she moved her face closer to his. He raised his hand and put his warm palm against her cheek, he moved it to the back of her head and entwined his fingers into her hair pulling her forward so her lips met his.

Alice's breath caught in her throat as she felt his soft lips touch hers, she purred over her breath. Begrudgingly she pulled away and stroked his cheek.

"That's enough excitement for you for one night you need to rest" Disappointedly but agreeing Percy nodded, he could barely keep his eyes open.

"Stay?" He whispered, taking her hand and kissing the back of it, her heart melted this was the sweet man she'd fell in love with.
