"So," Percy leaned forward in the seat of the limo, "Do you treat all prisoners like this? Or is it just me?"

Coulson ignored his question and reached his hand into his pocket. He pulled out a basic blackberry phone and offered it to Percy.

"Why don't you call your parents. I'm sure they're worried about you."

Percy recoiled at the sight of the phone and pushed himself as far away from it as he could.

"Um...No thanks. I'll talk to them later."

Coulson frowned and held the phone out closer to Percy, who was still trying to get away from it. After it was clear that Percy wasn't going to take the phone, he slipped it back into his pocket. Coulson watched as Percy relaxed as soon as the phone was out of sight. He filed the reaction for later, when he had more time to reflect on it. For now, he watched the boy and did his best to get a read on him.

He knew from the files he had read earlier that Percy was at the young age of sixteen, though despite that he not only had a record for destroying public property but was the subject of a man-hunt.

Throughout the rest of the ride Coulson made a file in his head of the little things he noticed Percy did, like how he seemed to jump at every loud noise. Or how his hand would drift to his pocket like he had a weapon to defend himself with (which was crazy cause all he had was a pen).

When they finally arrived at the tower, Coulson made sure he got out before Percy, as to insure that he didn't try to escape. Coulson then walked two steps behind Percy, through the building and into the elevator.

Before Coulson could press the button to the Avenger's loft, Percy reached out and did it himself.

Percy smirked at Coulson, "This isn't my first time here...Or did you forget?"

Coulon made a little humming noise, but refused refused to outwardly acknowledge that just quite yet.

The file labeled Percy Jackson in his head was small and every detail made him all the more curious, something that he would never admit.

The elevator dinged open.

Fury and Thor were having a staring contest.

"How do you know Percy Jackson?"

"We already said as much as we could. Please do not make this any harder than it has to be."

Fury gritted his teeth in anger, "And why is that?"

Thor sighed.

"Fury, sir," Fury turned his head to look at Natasha, "Why don't we wait for Percy to get here, then continue the questions with all three of them." Natasha gestured toward Loki and Thor.

Fury took a deep breath.

"Man. Is it just me or is this kid super awesome."

Everyone looked at Tony.

"What?" Tony shrugged and held up Percy's file. "He shot a canon at his school bus. Dumped his class in a shark tank. Blew up his gym. Had the entire nation chasing after him. And now even gods know his name. I mean, seriously."

The awkward silence that followed Tony's impromptu speech was cut short by the dinging of the elevator.

Pepper walked in, her heels clicking against the floor as she made her way towards the table, oblivious to the tension that was slowly building in the room.

"Tony, I need you to look over and approve some things. They need to get done before the end of the week." Pepper stopped in front of Tony and handed him a thick folder that was being held in the crevice of her arm. It was then that Pepper seemed to take notice of the others in the room. Her eyes swept across the table until they landed on Loki. Her eyes widened and she took a step back, "I-I'll be going then." Turning around, Pepper all but ran out of the room.

Loki let out a small laugh.

Tony turned his head towards him slowly, "You think that was funny?" Tony's voice was soft and controlled, showing his anger, "That her fear of you is funny?"

Loki smirked, "Of course."

Tony was two seconds from launching himself into a fight he wouldn't be able to finish when the elevator opened again. This time Percy and Coulson were the ones to walk through.

"Director Fury," Coulson pitched his head forward in greeting, "I have brought Mr. Jackson as you requested."

"So that's why I'm here?"

All eyes turned towards Percy.

"So…" Percy turned his eyes toward the stranger who spoke, "You're the great Percy Jackson."

"And you are…."

"Loki."

Percy ignored everyone else in the room and focussed on the new face. Something about this person seemed familiar, but he just couldn't figure out why.

A sharp intake of breath drew his attention away from Loki and towards Bruce.

Percy titled his head and raised his brow.

The others in the room frowned at the scientist as well but he waved his hand the conversation moved on.

Fury cleared his throat to grab Percy's attention, "Percy Jackson. We would like to officially invite you to join the Avengers."

Percy blinked, "What?"
