Lullay, Black Butler (sebastian michaelis love story) Chapter 10 – His Young Lady, in Despair

Notes: All except for one character, I'm introducing new OCs but they won't continue in story. Just this chapter and the next. Use your imaginations for appearance.

Ciel's POV

"My sisters, I am away for training. The Phantomhive household shall take care of your needs. I don't know how long I'll be gone, but I'll be back soon. This will help me learn to protect you. Behave and don't give others trouble. With love, Elianna." Reads Luna. Lily runs upstairs and in tears. "Lily! Wait! We're returning to the Phantomhive Manor soon!" says Luna.

Lily's POV

I cry on the bed.

"She left without saying goodbye! Who does she think she is!? Damn her!"

"Now, that is an inappropriate language for such a young lady."

"Huh?" I turn and it's Ciel. "Ciel. ~sniff~" He comes closer and sits on the edge of the bed.

"Don't say such ridiculous things. Your sister loves you. You were asleep when she said her goodbyes."

"Huh?"

Flashback/Ciel's POV

It's 7:30 in the morning. I would normally sleep more, but I had Sebastian wake me up to say goodbye to Elianna. It's the least I can do for her; she's done enough her for us already. Plus, smiling at this thought, she gets Sebastian off my shoulders. I saw the door to the Everton's room open and there was Eli, fixing the sheets, with the girls in bed, still sleeping; must be tucking them in.

"I have to go away now. I'll be back as soon as I can. I'm not abandoning you; just finding ways to protect my family. And…him too."

'Him? Does she mean Sebastian?' She kisses their forehead and leaves with her suitcase.

"Oh, Ciel." She closes the door, "Good morning, Ciel."

"Good morning to you too, Eli." We start walking to the front. "You ready to have title of Supreme?"

"Heh, I guess so. I really hate doing this, but this is what I have to do. They mean a lot."

"Is there…someone else?"

"Well," as her face goes red, "There's you, Earl Ciel Phantomhive, also the Queen's Guard Dog."

"Eli." I step in front of her, stopping her in her tracks, "I'm not blind; you have something for my butler, don't you?"

"I…uh…I don't know what you mean. Sebastian's just a butler. I don't feel anything. Now, please excuse me." As she walks away.

A few minutes go by and I'm ready to step outside to see Eli depart, but she's with Sebastian. I hid around the corner, my head peeking.

"I hate this."

"You'll be fine."

"What if I don't make it?"

"You will make it. You'll make Lily and Luna proud."

"I want you to be proud too." Sebastian places his right hand on her cheek.

"I will be. I will always be proud of my Lady Everton." She leans to kiss him and he places his lips on hers. Then, their lips part and foreheads together.

"I'll come back for you."

"I'll be waiting." She gets in the carriage and she left.

'Is this possible?'

Present (Day 3)/Elianna's POV

Three days have passed and we are nowhere near our destination. We were even on a ship and now back in a carriage. All I could think about were my sisters; if they're mad at me, if they're eating and sleeping properly. But, Sebastian's been consuming my mind more. I wonder if he's alright. If he misses me. If he's forgotten me.

"Eli?"

"Huh?" Madam May was sitting across from me.

"Is everything okay?"

"Yes. I'm okay." Still sad I left him.

(Day 4)/Sebastian's POV

Night time has come. It was approximately 10:30pm. I, as a demon that almost never sleeps, patrol the Manor. I went outside and see a small figure sitting on the front steps, looking at the moon.

"Luna?"

"Huh?" She sees me. "Oh, hi, Mr. Sebastian."

"Good heavens, it's terribly late; why are you still awake?" Concerning for the child's health. I walk to her and sit next to her.

"I'm sorry, but, when Elianna's not around, I have a hard time sleeping. I miss her." I understand where she's coming from. I miss her as well. I smile,

"She'll be back." Pluto, in his dog form, comes over and nuzzles his face to hers. She smiles and pets him. 'Eli…if I know you are in danger, I'm just a step away.'

(Day 8)/Elianna's POV

"Concentrate and put it all in yourselves." I, along with 2 other ladies my age, was standing on water, trying to lift our own sprout of water with a lotus flower floating on the surface. I was first to raise the flower, followed by the other witches. "Good." Says Madam May. "That's enough. Come inside."

Madam May was a teacher to all of us. There's Claudia Niclosen, witch and Master of Book of Elements. Matilda Simmons, she's no witch, but she claims to be Master of the book of Spirituals, in which I don't believe. Then, there Katherine Marshall, a witch and Master of the Book of Healing. And then, me, Elianna Rachel Everton, blood born of a witch and Master of the Book of Shadows. A life will be lost. We may all lose, but I need to survive. We were gathered around the dinner table. Madam May says,

"You all have done very well. You have proven worthy that you can be tested to be next Supreme. Only one of you can be Ultimate Supreme. However, the spells you have read to learn might be or won't be what you'll be tested on."

"Huh? What do you mean?" asks Katherine.

"The Seven Wonders." Says Madam May. "Witch's Law for testing," as she looks at me, "For ultimate Supreme." I nod. "You have two months to study. On the full moon of the 2nd month, will be the night."

(Day 9)/Sebastian's POV

I was straightening out the library, when I heard the telephone ring. I answer it,

"Phantomhive Residence, Sebastian Michaelis, butler of Earl Phantomhive, speaking."

"Hi, Sebastian; it's Elianna." My mind all of the sudden showed Eli. Happiness came over and whatever she needs, I'll be there.

"Oh, Eli. It's been quite some time. How are you?"

"I'm doing fine. How are my sisters? Are they doing well? Are they eating and sleeping properly?"

"Even though you are the eldest sister, you act as though you have turned into a mother…in which, I'm sure you'll be perfect at it." I smile evilly.

"I…well…ahem! Anyways…my sisters?"

"They are doing just fine. I took the liberty in finding their teachers and they homeschooling the girls here."

"That's good. And what about you and Ciel and everyone else?"

"Everybody's doing just fine."

"Sebastian, I miss you."

"I miss you as well."

"I love you." What can I say?

"I-"

"Mr. Sebastian?" Right on time.

Elianna's POV

"Mr. Sebastian?" My heart jumps.

"Seems like some little girls are here to talk to you."

"Please let me speak to them." There was a pause.

"Hi, Eli!"

"Hi, Luna."

"I miss you."

"I miss you too. I'm thinking about you a lot."

"When you coming home?"

"It…won't be for a while. But, I'll be home in time for you and Lily's birthday."

"Yey!" I smile. "Can I talk to Lily?"

Lily's POV

Luna looks at me.

"Eli wants to talk to you." I shook my head no and stepped back. Luna looked sad and I see Sebastian kneel in front of me.

"I know you're still upset about her leaving unexpectly, but, she's still thinking about you. You are the most important person to her. You and Luna. She'll be back soon." He holds his hand out and smiles.

Elianna's POV

There was a long pause. I got scared…then,

"Eli?" Relief washed over.

"Hi, Lily. I miss you so much."

"I miss you too, Eli. Why did you leave us?"

"I-I'm sorry, Lily. I didn't want to leave-"

"Please come home!"

"Lily…I can't yet." Silence. "Lily?"

"Eli?"

"Sebastian?"

"Lily took off."

"Oh."

"When exactly will you be coming back?"

"About two months."

"Is really being trained as a Supreme that long?"

"Yes, but if I remember Madam May's studies, this test was used around the Salem Witch Trials in late 1700s. I'm sure you would know that…wouldn't you?"

"Heh, you're a smart one, Eli, for someone whose been with us for less than 3 months."

"Heh. But, December 20th is Lily and Luna's birthday. I'll be back around there."

"Well, alright. Just be careful, Eli. You can die doing this." Now's my chance to be amused.

"Aww…is this the caring side of Sebastian?"

"Tsk. You caught me."

"I have to go now, but, I'll try to keep in touch."

"Very good, Lady Everton."

Sebastian's POV

I hang the phone up and Luna says,

"What did Eli mean that 'you would know that'; about the Salem Witch Trials?"

'Shit. Was she listening this entire time?'

"Did you study history?"

'Good.' "Well, I've study some history as a young child. And the Salem Witch Trials, I took in a very interest."

"Oh."

"Luna? Do you know of Eli?"

"I know where she is. She's in some coven in France, studying her witchery." How was it this little girl know so much, when Lily don't know?

"Exactly, how do you know this?"

"I…was a witch. It wasn't my fault! I made things levitate because I was mad, but I couldn't stop myself. Eli comforts me and I heard Madam May tell Eli about all of witchery, but she didn't want a part of it, at least till now." I kneel in front of her and grab her hand…and kiss it.

"My Lady Everton will be just fine. She has you and Lily to come back to." She smiles. I stand and grab her hand. "Shall we, my Lady?" she giggles.

(Day 30)/Elianna's POV

"Transfiguration is a handy and useful spell to hide from your enemies. Transform into an animal and no one would notice."

"Can we transform into any animal?" asks Claudia.

"No. You transform into your inner animal. The spirit inside. Now, my ladies. Concentrate. Close your eyes; imagine your bodies turn white. You, not as a human, but an animal." I can feel peace. And relief. I can feel like I'm going down on all fours. "Very good, my ladies. Open your eyes." We open, but what am I. "In time, you'll transform in ease. For now," As she walks towards…a crane? "Claudia, agile and light, is the crane…Katherine, strong and powerful, is the horse…last, Elianna, leader and cunning…is the wolf."

'Awesome!'

"Downside, you cannot speak. This is where your actions speak for you."

(Day 45)/Lily's POV

I sit in bed, late at night, wondering where Eli was. Hoping and praying and waiting. She would be okay and come back like she said she would. My mind goes back to the lady singing a while ago. I know it was mother. Why is she hiding from us? Does she not like us no more? I grew angry. And Eli and Luna…we all aren't so close no more. Because of HIM!

(Day 50)/Luna's POV

I have breakfast with Ciel, but, I haven't seen Lily in days.

"Luna?"

"Oh, yes?"

"Where's Lily?"

"I…don't know."

After breakfast, I looked outside and saw it was snowing.

"Ah!" I got an idea. I run to Lily's room, but her door was locked. "Lily? ~knock knock~ Do you want to build a snowman? Please come on outside for me. I know we are going through a lot, but this will be fun! Just you and me. We don't hang out much. But, it'll be okay. Eli's coming back soon! Come on and build a snowman with me."

"Go away, Luna."

"Okay, fine." I walk away from Lily's room. Mey-Rin sees me.

"Oh, Luna. Why so sad?"

"I ask Lily if she wants to build a snowman with me and she says no."

"Hmm…"

Sebastian's POV

"Huh? Build a snowman?"

"Please, sir. Let me accompany Lady Luna. Just one day." Persisted Mey-Rin.

"Doesn't Lily want to, too?"

"I asked her and she told me to go away."

"Hmm…well, I guess one day won't hurt."

"Ah!" smiles Luna.

"Thank you, Sebastian!"

"Just make sure Luna's dressed properly. And take Baldroy, Finny and Tanaka too." I smile. Luna and Mey-Rin left. "This is like Lily. I wonder what's wrong. ~sigh~ Her temper tantrum is worse than the Young Master's."

"What was that, Sebastian?" I look and saw my young Lord, arms crossed and leaning against the wall.

"Oh, nothing, my Lord."

"But, still. There is something wrong with Lily. I've never seen her this angry. She must really despise Eli."

"About leaving unexpectly, I presume?"

"Not like Lily's behavior on separation anxiety. I think there's another story behind Elianna and Lily Everton."
