King: I've been away for a while now, huh? I'd apologize, but I've had other stuff going on and other projects to write. It a little short, but not too much so compared to other chapters in this. All the same, I hope you enjoy this wrap up. I also left myself some wiggle room incase I decide to return to the world of the Forces of Evil. Anyway, let's finish this off and get this off my shoulders. Hope you enjoy.

Marco stepped out into the throne room of Mewni castle, now a little too used to those heart beats. As he looked around, he saw scenes playing out around him. To one side, he saw a young prince standing tall as he was first handed the wand, causing it to transform. Another showed him later in life as he stood opposite a monster in battle gear, with no sign of fighting. Another showed a paper being signed, likely a compromise. Another showed the wedding of the young man and a woman with sky blue hair. Another showed that woman attacking her husband with a knife. Finally, one last vision was resting on the throne.
Marco looked up toward the man and saw his blood-red, heart-shaped cheek marks. The man smiled toward Marco and chuckled, his voice echoing. "Thank you. Not only you, but your friends as well. Granted, I can only call out to you, so you'll have to relay my message."
Marco recognized the man rather quickly, given he'd met another version of the man. "King Nova. I'm glad I could help." Marco proceeded to bow to the elder King.
Nova waved off the formallies. "There's no need for this. I'm hardly King anymore. The dead cannot rule a kingdom."
"That reminds me," Marco stood tall again and looked up toward the old king, "How is this happening?"
"Dreams are a powerful tool. As for why I speak to you specifically, you are now infused with my magical power. Especially after utilizing my spells. My magical signature has no doubt begun to merge with your own. Perhaps, with time, you could use my powers again. But that's why I wanted to speak with you." Nova stood and started to walk away from his throne. Once he reached Marco, the taller man placed his hands on the young man's shoulders. "I wanted to tell you not only of my appreciation for everything you've done, but also to warn you of the power you now possess. Super Nova, Star Swarm, Shooting Star, Constellar Barrier, Crater Maker…" His face fell as he recalled his final power, "Silentium." After a moment, Nova sighed and nodded. "I want you to write them down, save the last. Let those who follow know of my powers, write them in the Book of Spells. But, and I can't stress this enough, do not allow Silentium to continue. Use it as you wish but let it die with you. That is all I ask of you."
Marco looked into the man's eyes, confused, "But why? It would be so helpful to stop people like that mage guy!"
"Maybe. But I don't want to risk tyrants to follow. Every other spell can be stopped, save for Silentium. There are magics to steal the power from others, to force it into sleep, and to force it to decay. But this is unnatural. Silentium robs the magic of others and leaves them empty. In our world of magic and mystery, to take away their magical heartbeat, as it were, would be a fate worse than death. Please, I must ask of you again. Do as you wish with it while you have it, but tell no one. Never pass down what power remains. Promise me this, I beg you." Nova released Marco and took a step back before bowing to the boy in front of him. "Please."
Everything seemed to fade out before Marco, the room turning white before fading out entirely. The last thing he saw was the King with his head low and begging him to keep this secret.

Marco tensed as his eyes opened again. He tried to make note of everything around him. First, he was lying in a bed. Second, the ceiling denoted he was back in Butterfly Castle, the color as well as the brick and tile work made that clear. Thirdly, his entire body felt like it was screaming at him. He hadn't felt this bad since his early years in the Neverzone. He learned pretty quickly that Shocker Berries were inedible. He groaned and strained as he tried to sit up and look around more effectively, rather than just stare at the ceiling.
"None of that." An old, white-bearded Mewman in a long coat hovered a hand over Marco. The Earthling recognized him as the Court Physician. Mewni might not be the most advanced in the field of medicine, but the royals did take hygiene seriously, at least. "I admit, you do impress me. Few Mewmans would be able to survive what you went through. You must be quite durable."
"Well, I did spend 16 years in the Neverzone tracking down Heckapoo." Marco tried to laugh it off, but it hurt to laugh.
"That right?" The physician finished his check and nodded, "I've heard about that place. It would certainly explain how you're this tough if you spent 16 years there." He sounded impressed, but on a subdued level. As if he'd seen enough to find shock difficult to muster.
The events of the previous fight slammed back into Marco's mind, causing him to panic a bit, "What about the others? Are they okay?"
"If you mean the High Commission and your friends, they're fine. A bit bruised up, but nothing that won't heal with time."
Marco let out a sigh of relief.
"You're one of those guys, huh? Always looking out for others. Well, don't make a habit of it if this is the result."
"No promises."
The man looks down toward Marco with a raised eyebrow. After a moment he smirked and laughed to himself, "Then I have to suggest you practice and get used to whatever you did. After all, you don't start lifting weights at twice your own."
Marco nodded in understanding. He knew that he should avoid going all out into that weird spell, assuming he can even do so again.
The door suddenly slammed open, causing the two to jump. "MARCO!" Star had burst through the door, the only thing showing the effects of the fight being a few bandages over her forehead. She rushed in intent on hugging the now conscious Marco, only to be blocked by the physician. That did not help her mental state, "Are you okay?!"
The physician pushed her back a bit, "He's fine, but severely exhausted. He needs rest, not a hug from someone with Johanson blood in her."
Star shrunk her stance and nodded. Few people on Mewni had the power to make Star shrink like that. That list is made of only her mother and the Royal Physician. However, Star sighed in relief, "That's good."
Marco chuckled a bit, causing himself to wince in pain again. Again, it hurt to laugh. He looked over to Star, "Where are the others? It just seems like everyone would be here."
Star blinked before recognizing the type of situation happening and nodded once she got what he was saying. "Well, Tom went back down to the Underworld, probably getting an earful from his dad about getting into that much trouble. Kelly went home to heal up, too. Though, she's probably getting a party. Did you know their whole society payes with things by fighting?"
"Huh…" Marco took a moment to let that sink in. "Really?"
"Yeah. It's crazy. Oh! Right. Janna wanted to head back to Earth saying she needed a break after that."
Marco nodded, knowing that it was probably for the best.
"Ponyhead checked out saying it was 'too nuts.' Mom and Heckapoo took Rhombulous back to his place."
Marco took a breath before pushing himself to sit up against the back of the bed, "And that mage guy? He's not going to hurt people, right?"
"Nope. Whatever you did, he can't use magic anymore! Like, at all! What did you do to him anyway?"
Marco paused for a moment. He hadn't actually promised Nova to keep it a secret. But it was hard to ignore the fact that everyone had already seen him use it. He needed to explain something, but how much should he? Seeing Star's confused and curious stare made him sigh. "It's hard to explain. I found the purple memory stone and it had all this info that just kind of… filled my mind with everything about the other stones. How they were filled with spells Nova created. And, you remember that crown we found when this all started?"
Star nodded, remembering the secret chamber and the shining crown in its center before the tapestry of Nova.
"Well, it had one of the spells too. That's why I kept hearing that heartbeat sound when we were there."
"That was that last spell, right? What was it anyway?"
Marco's gaze fell thinking about Nova's pleas. "Bad. It's a spell that completely cuts off a person from magic."
"Like the Whispering Spell?"
Marco shook his head. "It's something else. You can use the whispering spell and still use magic later. This completely takes it away. Sorry Star, but that's all I can tell you about it."
"What? Why?"
Marco looked back toward her, completely silent. Everything he needed to say was conveyed without a single word. The danger of the spell and the hellish truth of what it does and how it works.
Star felt a shiver run up her spine at the implications. "Got it."

It's been ten days since Marco woke up. Ten days of writing in the royal archive and in the notebook Star had been using as a new spell book. Writing down the spells had taken the first four days, as Marco fought against remembering how the spells work and writing everything down before his muscles gave out to the exhaustion again. It was a good distraction until he was able to move around without his muscles begging for mercy from the strain. The past six days had been filled with writing down everything else about Nova. Marco made sure to write down everything he could remember about Nova and who the man really was.
"Marco!" Star burst into the room with Tom in tow. "There's a mad manticore on the loose in the corn field!"
Marco snapped his attention to the two, "Is it really that bad they need us?"
Tom shook his head, "Nah. But Star figures you've been bored these past few days being cooped up in here. I keep telling her you were writing that Nova book, but she wasn't hearing it."
Star lightly punched her boyfriend's shoulder, "So! You coming or not?!"
Marco waved at them, telling to go on, "You guys head out first. I'll catch up once I get my new sword from the blacksmith. Shouldn't be too long."
"Right! Kelly should be there already! Let's go!" Star ran off down the hall. Leaving Tom to shake his head with a smile.
Tom turned to Marco, "You sure you're alright, man?"
"I'm fine." Marco chuckled, "She's going to leave you behind if you don't get moving."
Tom nodded and offered a fist bump, which Marco reciprocated, "Alright. See you out there." Tom ran off to catch up with Star as they ran.
Marco took a breath and stood up, stretching his back. After everything, it was nice to get everything back to normal again. "Okay! Here we go!" He started to run out from his room, but found himself freezing and running back to the book on his desk. As Marco closed the book, he smiled with a certain satisfaction. He turned and left [The Forgotten Monarch] on his desk, off to the blacksmith and toward the next adventure.
