Naruto woke up early that morning to get ready, he stopped at Hinata's door and raised his hand to knock but paused. He waited a moment and thought against knocking. Hinata had seemed pretty upset, and he didn't want to upset her this morning before she had to meet with her sister for the first time in a while. Hinata had gotten much stronger since they last saw each other, and she deserved the chance to show that. A discussion between the two of them could defeat her and toss her into the wrong kind of mental state.
He heard her getting ready, so instead, he slid a note under her door telling her where to meet him, and then he flashed to the village, going to grab breakfast for himself. He would see Hinata at training ground 7 just like the rest of his genin.

Hinata sighed as she got out of her shower. Last night had not gone how she wanted it to, Naruto seemed to not want to be with her. Her demons started to go off in her head like air raid sirens. She thought maybe Naruto had found someone else, that he had met another girl. She had to tell herself no that wasn't it, was it? She hated this feeling. She knew he was going to be mad at her, she couldn't blame him for being a little bit mad about what happened in the past, but wanting a break was a little far wasn't it?
She toweled off and started to dress when she saw a note come through the bottom crack of her door. She bent over and picked it up and read it. It was from Naruto, it told her to meet him with the rest of the genin at training ground 7. Her eyes narrowed. He couldn't even tell her that himself? Go with her to the training ground? Was this because he wanted to look more professional? He didn't want to show the team that they were close? Or was he meeting someone for breakfast? Was he separating himself from her so that he could be with someone else? Was this because of her actions? Was it because she was barren? She couldn't provide him with a family how he wanted?
She crumbled the note and frowned, she had gotten better though. She wouldn't let this come between her and her goals. She was going to be strong. She was going to continue getting better, and she was going to become a chunin so she could go find Kushina. If Naruto didn't want to be with her fine. If he wanted to be professional around the team, fine. She had cried all night about this, and she wasn't going to cry more right now. She lit the note on fire with a shock of lightning chakra. Letting it burn. She knew deep down Naruto was right. Them being teacher and student, as well as them being lovers hadn't been working at all. They had constantly argued, and they only ever seemed to work as one or the other. They had never had an easy day together as a couple. She sighed, looking at her clock she needed to get dressed. She pulled out her new outfit. It was something she had picked out for working with Naruto and to help with her confidence. It had been a suggestion of Inoichi. Her old outfit, the baggy sweatshirt, and loose-fitting pants, it showed to everyone her insecurity. Her new outfit was tighter, allowing her to move around fluently, and showed her newfound confidence. She also thought she looked rather cute in it. First, she put on her skin tight fishnet armor, that Naruto had given her long ago, over her underwear. The armor went up to her high net and stretched just enough to feel like a choker. It was like a turtle neck leotard with no sleeves. Then she pulled on her tight light lavender spandex shorts that went do mid-thigh. Next, she pulled on her outer outfit, it was a dress. The sleeves came out of the bust and didn't cover her shoulders.
The top was a darker lavender. The sleeves were loose and went all the way down to her wrists. The top of the dress strapless and hung off of her chest. She zipped it halfway up her bust. The skirt of the dress was two pieces a back and a front, with slits up to her hips so you could see her shorts. The black skirt dropped down past her shorts and mid-thigh. She tightened her headband over her forehead, covering the Caged Bird Seal. She looked in the mirror and smiled, she thought she looked cute. She left the house and went to her favorite cinnamon bun shop. Getting some breakfast and heading towards training ground 7.
She sat on a bench on the way and ate her cinnamon bun. She smiled as she watched the birds chirp around her. She looked at the sun and her eyes widened, she was going to be late if she didn't hurry. She had wasted more time than she had thought possible.
She jumped to the rooftops of the buildings nearby and took off at nearly her top speed.
She landed at training ground 7 right at 7 am. She took a deep breath and looked at Naruto who was staring at her. "Sensei, sorry if I'm slightly late."
Naruto nodded at her and thought, "Wow, she looks great. That outfit suits her, a lot tighter around her body than anything she's worn before."
"Kit, stop staring at her," Kurama told him knocking him out of his shock.
Naruto cleared his throat and looked away from her at last. "Thank you three for joining. I'm assuming all of you know who I am?"
"You're the most despised jonin in all the village. You would think a guy that's so strong wouldn't be so hated." Hanabi spoke up.
Hinata glared at her sister, while Naruto laughed, "Well some things are just outside our control.'
"Hanabi, please watch how you speak about our sensei," Hinata told her younger sister.
Hanabi stepped closer to her older sister, "You should address me properly. I'm Lady Hanabi to you."
Naruto stepped in front of Hanabi, stopping her from advancing any further. "No. we will all be addressing each other informally on this team. None of you will be pulling family rank or anything like it. Quite frankly I don't give a shit who any of you are, or who you're families are. You are all under my command as of right now."
Hanabi huffed at him. Hinata got upset, "Hanabi! You will respect our sensei!"
"Are you going to make me?" Hanabi asked her.
"If you want me to teach you respect I can." Hinata told her fiercely, "You dishonor our father when you treat your sensei like this."
Hanabi laughed, "You were disowned by the clan trash. He is my father, not yours. Keep his name out of your filthy mouth."
Hinata's eyes went wide, "You will not talk to me like that. Whether you like it or not I AM your older sister."
"You weren't even good enough to be in the branch family. You're not my sister, you're lowly disgraced trash." Hanabi scoffed.
Hinata took a step towards her, about to say something back, but Naruto stood in front of her. "Stop fighting BOTH OF YOU! I've already had enough of you two. You're wasting my time and Konohamaru's time. Hanabi if you call Hinata trash again you will be punished. Hinata, stop arguing with your sister."
Hinata nodded at him, slightly hurt he didn't back up on this. She was only trying to make sure Hanabi was respectful to him"
"Now, I want to see what the three of you can do," He pulled out two silver bells. "I have two bells, I have two lunches with me. Whoever gets a bell gets a lunch. The person who doesn't get a bell gets tied to a stump and forced to watch as the others eat. If you don't get a bell you don't eat." Naruto put the bells on his belt. "Hinata, you and Konohamaru know how strong I am. You three need to come at me with the intent to kill, or you will not get a bell. I want to see how you act in all sorts of situations. I want to know what I'm working with." It is 7:05 right now, you have until Noon." With his explanation finished Naruto disappeared.
Hinata looked at her teammates. "This is about our teamwork. None of us has a chance to defeat Naruto on our own."
"There are only two bells dumbass." Hanabi told her sister, "Teamwork won't matter."
Hinata glared at her, "You and Konohamaru can have the bells then. I don't need lunch. I've gone without plenty of times."
"I know you're too weak to get a bell without mine and Konohamaru's help, but we don't need you," Hanabi told her, "Stop trying to lower us to your level. Just stay out of our way."
"Hanabi. Stop dissing your sister. Naruto is extremely powerful, one of the strongest ninja in the village. If we don't work together, we don't stand a chance." Konohamaru told her.
"Konohamaru, don't tell me you believe the hype on that overrated fool. The only reason he is a Jonin is that the Hokage favors him. He didn't deserve that promotion." Hanabi laughed. "Whatever, you losers want to team up, go for it, I'm going after him alone." She activated her Byakugan and grinned, "I found him." She took off after him.
"Hanabi wait!" Hinata called after but she didn't listen. Hinata went to follow but Konohamaru grabbed her arm.
"Hinata, wait. Don't go after her, even as a team if we don't have a plan, we don't have a chance. If Naruto is going all out, it will be tough to beat him." Konohamaru told her. "Now, Hanabi is cocky enough to go up against Naruto straight up. We need to use that to our advantage. Work as a team without her knowing."
Hinata nodded, "You're right. She won't listen to either one of us. Naruto is going to be able to take her apart, but first, he will try to teach her a lesson. He isn't going to go anywhere near all out to start. We need to use that to our advantage. He will be expecting us to jump in to help her. We won't. Instead, let's wait, we need to pick the perfect time. I'm going to attack him head up when I see an opening. I'm going to try to shock him and stun him, you need to back me up, if you see me go in for a stun, you need to be ready to attack the bells. Don't focus on him, only the bells. Back me up, and use whatever jutsu you have that could slow him down when there is a lull in my attack."
Konohamaru smiled and nodded, "You think you can keep up with Naruto?"
"I know I can, he's stronger and slightly faster, but I've got some tricks up my sleeves," Hinata told him.
Konohamaru raised an eyebrow and nodded. "Alright, I'll focus on grabbing the bells and slowing him down."

Naruto grinned as he watched all of this in a crystal ball in Tsunade's office. "That's a great plan. Let's see if they can make it work on my clone."
Tsunade, Hiashi, and Hiruzen stood with Naruto watching the fight happen. Naruto had planted seals on all of them while his clone distracted them. The seals allowed them to hear everything each of the students said.
"Hanabi is a fool to think she can fight even Naruto's clone alone. What is she thinking."
"Naruto, punish her. Make her regret this decision. Do not go easy on her." Hiashi told him.
Naruto nodded, creating a shadow clone and dispelling it immediately to tell his shadow clone in the field what to do.

The clone grinned, Hanabi was coming his way and he had just gotten his orders. This was going to be fun. He also knew Hinata and Konohamaru's plan, he would see how they adjusted when he wrecked their plans.
Hanabi jumped into the clearing he was waiting in, with her byakugan active and in a fighting stance.
Naruto drew Kitsune and got into his own stance, "Hanabi didn't you know about my sword? Do you know how you will defend against it?"
Hanabi scoffed, "Just because you hold a sword doesn't mean you know how to use it."
"You're extremely disrespectful. The good news, however, is that as your sensei, I will teach it to you." Naruto told her appearing next to her and slicing across her shoulder, leaving a shallow cut. She tried to get inside his guard but Naruto moved so fast she couldn't stop the cuts to each of her arms. She was now bleeding from 5 cuts.
Naruto jumped back, "Hanabi if I was trying to kill you, you'd be dead five times over now. You may want to take a different approach now."
Hanabi shook her head, the cuts were shallow enough that barely hurt, she could go on. He was just faster than she expected, it wasn't because he was better. He was trash like her sister and she was the heir of the Hyuga.
She sped in going as fast as she could trying to hit a finishing blow on Naruto. She would hit his lungs, slowing him way down, she could decimate him from there. Humiliate him and take both bells for herself. It would teach her sister to hold her tongue, as well as that fool Naruto.
She dashed in and fired a palm strike at Naruto's chest.
She didn't see him move, he was so fast, he caught her wrist with one hand, stopping her a foot from his chest, her palm strike doing nothing. He squeezed her wrist until she gave off a pained look, he backhanded her, holding her wrist so she didn't fall away, he turned and fired a roundhouse kick into her face. She fell back into the dirt and he waited for her to roll back to her feet.
As soon as she was back up, he swept her legs out from under her dropping her into the dirt again. This time she rolled up and jumped back. Her head was ringing. She shook it out and dropped into her stance again. She had never been hit like that before.
Naruto slowly walked towards her, "You're cocky, it's going to get you killed, what if I had stabbed you through the heart? Killing you would be too easy."
Hanabi glared at him, "Shut up. You don't know what you're talking about!"
Naruto shook his head, he disappeared and all Hanabi felt was pain as he notched a deeper cut into her arm. Before she blinked there was another cut in her other arm. She glared at him, "Don't get cocky, "You're in my range! 8 trigrams 64 palms!" She shot forward and went into her jutsu, going with two palms first. She ended with 64 palms, but she cried out in agony as she stopped. She was covered in numerous cuts, some shallow some deeper. Naruto stood there in front of her still holding his sword.
"That was pitiful. Hinata is far faster than you. She is stronger, better. How could anyone believe you were a more fit heir." Naruto told her. "I'm not even trying right now."
Hanabi scoffed as she slowly got back into her fighting stance she was winded again, "You're lying. There's no way Hinata could have withstood any of those attacks. You're much stronger than I thought. I'll give you credit for that, but my older sister is weak and always will be. Why do you defend her, she is a traitor, trash to ninja."
Naruto growled, "I told you not to call her that. Do you have any idea what your sister went through?"
"If she wasn't fool enough to be caught, she wouldn't have gone through anything. She couldn't win a fight one on one. She knew what she signed up for when she joined the ninja." Hanabi told him.
Naruto shook his head, "I don't know if you've noticed. You're getting your ass kicked by me one on one. Should you be taken?"
Hanabi nodded, "If I couldn't getaway. That is why Hinata was given the seal. She was too weak to be trusted to guard her eyes."
"Hanabi shut the fuck up." Naruto told her angrily, "You have no idea what you're talking about."
Hanabi shook her head, "Aw did I hit a nerve?" Hanabi asked.
Naruto appeared behind her, "Hanabi. You are weak-minded. You're standing here parroting talking points from the elders in your clan. Let me tell you the future of your clan if you continue to be this weak-minded. There isn't a future for your clan. If you are this weak-minded and can't think for yourself, your clan in doomed." Naruto told her.
"What would you know about running a clan? Having an actual family?" Hanabi told him.
Naruto shook his head, "Your teammates are here, and I can't stomach you anymore. Watch how your sister fights, continue to tell me afterward that she is weaker than you."
With that being said Naruto disappeared from sight, Hanabi only felt herself being cut numerous times. Naruto then went through hand seals and slammed his hand into her stomach, "Sealing Arts - Body Seal!" Seal script ran over Hanabi's body, binding her arms to her side as Naruto threw her into a tree, she stuck to the tree and struggled to move.
"What the hell is this!" Hanabi asked.
"A capture seal I created. You aren't breaking it anytime soon. Your sister is near, watch as she fights me, try to learn something." Naruto told her, "And if you fucking insult your sister while she is fighting, I will shut your mouth for you with another seal."

Hinata activated her byakugan grimacing at the pain, it just kept getting worse every time she activated it. "Konohamaru, Naruto is already done fighting Hanabi. I can see his expression, he's fed up with her. Naruto hasn't given an opening yet."
Konohamaru nodded, "Right, do you have a new plan?"
Hinata nodded, "I have an idea, but I want to hear what you think first."
"I don't know. I mean, the overwhelming amount of force and speed he just showed off. I'm not sure any plan will get us the bells." Konohamaru told her.
Hinata nodded, "He is very powerful but he gets distracted. I want you to start by attacking with your strongest nonrasengan jutsu. What is it?"
"Just a lame fireball," Konohamaru told her.
Hinata shook her head, "That isn't lame. Use it to our advantage I want you to blow a fireball, the biggest one you can. I want it to impact the ground in front of Naruto, give us some smoke cover. That won't work though. Naruto will use a wind jutsu to clear up the dust. That's when you use another fire jutsu. I want the entire area around Naruto on fire. We are going to cover his senses with smoke, and debris. That's when I'll strike. I'll go in and fight him, his senses will be covered and that's when you need to grab the bells. Naruto's senses will be in overdrive and he should be focused on trying to fight me. You should be able to get close unnoticed. Konohamaru, at the speed I'll be going I won't be able to do it long."
Konohamaru nodded, "Do we have a backup plan?"
Hinata nodded, "I summon Kurama and she distracts Naruto while we try to get the bells."
Konohamaru nodded, "Let's do this without her."
"Go now!" Hinata told him.
Konohamaru jumped into the air and fired a fireball jutsu directly in front of Naruto. Naruto jumped back just like Hinata predicted, but then he disappeared, he didn't use a wind jutsu to blow the smoke away. Instead, he appeared behind Konohamaru, he flipped and ax kicked Konohamaru. The young boy sped towards the ground, but at the last second, he twisted his body and rolled out of the way of Naruto's next strike.
Before Hinata could move to strike him, he disappeared and reappeared behind her, she jumped forward, she had only just spotted him before he struck. His weights were off, he was going full bore.
Hinata disappeared going in to meet him head-on, going her full speed, pumping chakra into her muscles as she sped towards him.
Naruto dodged her first strike, twisting around her gentlefist strike. "Hinata, I want to see what you can do now after I was gone for so long. But, let's keep this party between just the four of us already here."
Hinata's eyes widened as Naruto slammed an open palm into her stomach. She flew backward. Hitting the ground hard she rolled to a stop. How had he known she was thinking about summoning Kurama.
She didn't have time to think as Naruto appeared next to her, slamming a punch into the ground as she had just rolled out of the way. Hinata rolled away pushing off and twisting her body and going into a backflip as she landed on her feet and dropped into a fighting stance again.
She took a deep breath and disappeared, appearing next to Naruto again, her fingers pulsing with lightning as she struck out at Naruto. He blocked, knocking her hand away at the forearm, leaning his head back so that the follow-up strike. He lifted his right foot blocking her from the kick she was going to try. He shoved her stomach, pushing her away from him, as he turned and grabbed Konohamaru's wrist, twisting and throwing him at Hinata.
Hinata dodged, but Naruto was only using it as a distraction as soon as she ducked under Konohamaru, Naruto was in front of her, he turned and fired a roundhouse kick up into her chin. He then shot forwards following her as she flew backward. He appeared in front of her and slammed his elbow into her stomach. Hinata hit the ground hard and immediately rolled away from the follow-up ax kick into the ground. Hinata jumped back away from him, trying to get a second to think. She had gotten stronger, but so had Naruto. He was going so fast and hitting her so hard every time he struck at her. He had never gone this hard against her. She started going through hand seals, wanting to summon Kurama. She needed the Demoness' help.
Naruto shook his head though, "Hinata, you are sealed. I told you, I just wanted this to be between us. Kurama can't come out to play right now. You have an Anti Summoning seal on you."
Hinata glared at him. She took a deep breath, "Fine." She disappeared, speeding at him, he grinned and shot at her as well. She threw a left palm strike high, trying to get him to move low and to her right and low so her follow up palm strike from her right hand coming low could hit him square in the chest. She was leaving his right side with the bells open to Konohamaru.
Naruto read it like a book, he twisted to her left instead of where she was trying to bait him. He hit her side three times before grabbing her arm and flipping her over his shoulder and slamming her into the oncoming Konohamaru.
Hinata and Konohamaru were a tangle of limbs. Konohamaru was out cold. Her head had hit him and then slammed into the ground. Hinata rolled up breathing heavily.
"That's enough tricks now Hinata. Just me and you. I have half a mind to go ahead and fail you guys now." Naruto told her.
"What? Why? Because we can't beat you?" Hinata asked incredulously, "How the hell were we supposed to beat you going this full-throttle anyways?"
Naruto shook his head. "You're missing the point. You were so close. You knew you had to work as a team, and yet you didn't."
"What are you talking about? Konohamaru and I were working together." Hinata told him.
"YOU ARE NOT A TEAM OF TWO!" Naruto told her sharply.
"I tried to work with Hanabi!" Hinata told him.
"Stop making excuses. You took the lead. You are leading this team and the team failed." Naruto told her.
"Not yet we haven't!" Hinata told him.
"You knew this was a teamwork test, you didn't work as a team, objectively you failed," Naruto told her.
"No, we didn't. Not yet. Our objective is to get the bell. I can still get the bells." Hinata told him determined.
Naruto shook his head, "Fine, try to get the bell. I'm not going to ease up on you."
Hinata nodded, "That's fine. I don't want you to go easy on me anymore. Don't continue to stunt my growth like that."
Naruto raised an eyebrow at her, "Fine." That had hit a nerve, he had tried to train her to the best of his ability.
He pulled out four tri pronged kunai. He tossed all four at her. Going through hand seals as. "Shadow Kunai Jutsu!" Naruto said. His four kunai turned into thousands.
Hinata saw them coming and got into a stance, she started to spin, shooting lightning chakra out of her body. "Lightning style: ROTATION! She shouted spinning as a lightning storm surrounded her.
The kunai were disappearing being destroyed by the lightning. Naruto jumped up into the air and pulled a scroll out a seal on his hand, he unfurled it and pumped chakra into it. Tenten had shown him this one. His scroll, however, was full of his tri pronged kunai with Flying Thundergod Seals on them.
It shot a continuous stream of kunai at Hinata forcing her to keep up her rotation which was draining a good amount of her chakra. Naruto grinned, he pulled kitsune and channeled wind chakra into it, he wound up and threw kitsune as hard as he could into the left-center of the rotation. Naruto flashed inside the barrier grabbing Hinata's hand stopping her mid spin. Her jutsu dropped and he landed a kidney shot to her back, before wrapping her up and suplexing her over his back, driving her head into the ground.
Hinata groaned in pain, that had hurt, she jumped up and pumped chakra into her legs, trying to speed around him and get a moment to think, but then she saw what was her doom. She had helped him spread them around. Naruto flashed in front of her slamming a fist into her face, and then behind her as she shot backward, he push kicked her forwards, flashing in front of her again, close lining her, and then slamming his elbow into her gut.
Hinata tried to roll away jumping back, but Naruto was behind her. He jumped up and dropped kicked her back. Flashing back in front of her, he was still parallel to the ground, he grabbed her head under his arm and drove her face into the ground. He grabbed her arm before she could move and shoved her arm up behind her wrenching her shoulder blade. She groaned in pain as Naruto placed a kunai next to her, letting the cold steel rest against her neck.
"That's match. Get your sister down, wake Konohamaru, and report to the Hokage's office." With that said Naruto poofed away as his shadow clone.
Hinata groaned, her head was wringing. Her whole body hurt after that beat down. She growled Naruto had been a shadow clone all along, how embarrassing. She stood and walked over to Konohamaru, it was then that she saw a seal stuck to his back. Naruto hadn't placed it during the match. He must have placed it before the match. Her anger grew as she realized what it was. Naruto had been listening to their plans the whole time. She was furious. How could he do that, he didn't give them a chance.

When she pulled Hanabi and Konohamaru to the Hokage's office she was surprised by how many people were in there, apparently having watched the bout. She felt her cheeks grow hot, Naruto had embarrassed her in front of everyone. How, as her friend, could he do that to her. Her red hot fury grew hotter and hotter.
Naruto welcomed them in. "You fought well. You all did. Hanabi you have an excellent understanding of the gentlefist. Konohamaru you've gotten so fast. The distraction technique you two came up with and almost executed was amazing. Hinata, wow! You've gotten so much stronger and faster! That lightning style rotation was incredible! Your control over the element has increased at such an incredible level. You're ready to learn some higher-level techniques with it." Naruto finished smiling at his team. "You all impressed me with your skills. Hinata you came up with two great strategies, and a good back up plan. Well done. However all of you. This was a teamwork test and your teamwork was atrocious. Hanabi, Hinata is from now on the team leader. In fights, you will listen to her. Do not try to come to fight a jonin by yourself. Hinata, Konohamaru. You two created a plan, distract me and grab the bells the mission objective." Naruto told them, "I'm so disappointed."
Naruto waited for a second, letting his disappointment set in. "You left your teammate Hanabi tied up and helpless. You should have distracted me and saved her. Had her help for the continuation of the match. Instead, you left her. If this had been a mission she would have died, you all would have. Ninja that don't follow the rules and complete their mission at all costs are trash. Those who abandon their comrades are worse than trash. I want you all to let that sink in. Take the night. We meet tomorrow morning for more training. 8 sharp. Dismissed." Naruto told them all. Hinata nodded and took her leave, not looking at a single person in the room. Konohamaru called for her, but she didn't listen she walked home, furious as all get out at Naruto.

It was two hours later that Naruto got home. He walked in the door and called out for Hinata, "Hinata! Are you hungry?" Naruto called out.
Hinata stood from the couch and walked towards him, "Naruto, I'm right here."
Naruto raised an eyebrow, she didn't sound happy. "Oh, sorry!"
Hinata walked up to him, "Are you my friend right now, or my Sensei?" She asked him.
"Uh, your friend?" Naruto asked, not sure what was going on.
Hinata stood right in front of him, "Fine."
SLAP!
A loud clap rang out as Hinata slapped Naruto across the face, "HOW COULD YOU DO THAT TO ME! EMBARRASS ME LIKE THAT IN FRONT OF LADY TSUNADE, LORD HIRUZEN, MY FATHER! AND YOU CHEATED TO DO IT! LISTENING IN ON OUR PLANS AND TELLING YOUR STUPID CLONE! I THOUGHT YOU LOVED ME! IS THIS SOME KIND OF STUPID PUNISHMENT YOU CAME UP WITH FOR MY PAST FAILURES AND TRANSGRESSIONS AGAINST YOU?" Tears streamed down Hinata's face.
Naruto looked at her wide-eyed as he held his face where her hand had hit.
