Okay- this chaoter is a lot of action.I love the follows and favs, but please, please, please, REVIEW! :)

She looked around. Walkers banging at the fences, drooling all over, none of them noticed her.

She smiled at the sight, looking around. The creek was to the East, towards where the sun had risen...

She ducked across the bridge, moving silently in a half-crouch, before turning back. Daryl stood by the fence. He was leaning heavily on it, but he nodded, looking at her. He was proud.

She lifted her hand in a silent wave, looking back at her father. What if she died? What if she didn't come back to him?

He returned the wave, nodding to her, encouraging her to go on. He thought she could do it- that was enough to give her the courage to slip into the brush and disappear into the tree line.

From there, she fell into a rhythm with the woods, working her way down towards the creek.

She killed two squirrels on the way there, a red one and a gray, who'd dared attract attention by chattering at her.

From there, she reached the creek, kneeling down. It was hot, mid-july hot, and she splashed her face with water. The creek was clear, she looked down at her reflection, smiling, before cupping her hands, bringing some water to her lips. This was just like when she'd been with Ryder- except she was alone, now, had to watch her back carefully.

She'd taken her time getting here, she was an hour and a half into the hunt. She trooped long the water, watching the woods, but she didn't come across a single walker, managing to shoot a duck in the water.

She jumped down the creek bank towards the kill, wading through the water until she had it, grabbing it by the leg. Suddenly she heard a yell, and she was instantly scrambling up the bank, ducking behind a large tree trunk, back to whoever was approaching, breathing heavy.

"Please! Please don't!" there was the desperate cry as the feet of people continued to stampede through the brush. Her heart started to pound.

They crashed through the undergrowth, throwing the woman on her already bloody knees on the dirt.

"Please..." the woman pleaded. Her hair fell over her face, obscuring it from view, but she was sobbing, shaking, desperate...

"No damn way, lady. Been so long since I had a fuck..."

She heard a zipper going down and winced, peering around the tree nervously. Three men stood, all old, all with guns...

"P-please... I... I won't survive..." she begged.

"Quit snifflin', bitch. I want a good bang, you hear? Then maybe we'll let you walk away from this..."

There was the sound of ripping fabric. Jamie grit her teeth, suddenly enraged. They were all so busy staring at the woman, they hadn't noticed her.

She swallowed, pulling back her bow, There was no way in hell she'd let them get away with this. The woman's pants were being tugged off, now, she was sobbing...

Jamie let the arrow fly. It struck the main man through the neck, since, while she'd had time to aim, her hands were shaking slightly.

The man put a hand to his neck, shocked, making a choking sound before he fell forward.

"Holy shit!" one of the remaining two men yelled, whirling to see Jamie.

"Kill that bitch!"

She dove behind a tree as bullets started to fly, grabbing another arrow and notching it. She pulled back and peered out long enough to let it fly, hearing one of the men scream in pain and trying not to smile. The bastard deserved it.

Pieces of bark flew as bullets hit the tree she was hiding behind.

"Dammit, Larry, stand up!" one of the men yelled. "I'll get her from behind!"

He was making his way around the tree, now, towards her...

She ducked around again, a bullet narrowly missing the side of her face. She let an arrow fly at the man coming towards her, striking him in the shoulder. From the corner of her eye, she could see the woman running into the trees, away from the men...

"Show yourself, you bitch!" the gunfire had subsided, now, She was facing two men- one with an arrow through his thigh, the other with one in his shoulder. They were wounded, but closing in on the tree. She had to break for it while she could.

She sprinted from behind the tree, There were alarmed shouts, bullets came flying, and she dove under a large fallen tree trunk, taking shelter, as bullets pelted it.

"Come on, bitch! You're gonna get it!" one of the men yelled.

She heard rustling to her right, suddenly, the loud gunshots had attracted walkers...

"Ahhh!"

"Larry! Holy shit!"

She peered up for a moment to see the man she'd shot through the neck had come back, and was currently tearing into the man with the wounded leg, was being torn into by his own friend, now turned walker...

She stared in gross fascination for a moment, shocked, before a moan to her right, feet away, made her try and bolt.

"Hey!" there was a heavy hand on her shoulder now, and she was thrown into a tree trunk, sliding down. The man lifted his gun and shit the walker that'd been on her like it was nothing.

"You stupid bitch," he yelled, kicking her side. She gasped, struggling for breath. she could hear more moans, more walkers were coming...

She was picked up by her neck, then, shocked as she suddenly couldn't breathe, slammed against a tree...

"You'll PAY for what you did!"

Her hands went instinctively to her throat, before she seized her knife and slashed...

He dropped her, surprised, as blood poured from his arm.

"Dammit!"

She scrambled back on her butt. Walkers, walkers moaning, like spectators in their gross gladiator match, they closed in...

"No fucking way you get out of this, kid!" he yelled, lunging forward and grabbing her boot.

"Let me go!" she yelled, voice going up an octave in fear. A walker was dragging itself towards her, now, was five feet away...

Her arm arched down, knife burying itself in the walker's head.

Still, more and more walkers were coming, the man fumbled for his pistol as she struggled against his hold on her ankle. Now way out...

In a last-ditch effort, she struck out with her free leg, the heel of her boot knocking his face back. His grip lessened and she pulled her leg free, scrabbling back stumbling to her feet,

A walker stumbled out of the brush, falling onto the man, teeth tearing into his side...

His blood-curdling scream froze her in horror for a moment, but she was brought back to reality when she heard some walkers stumbling towards her from behind, she turned towards the prison and started to run.

The man, knowing he was beat, turned his pistol on her in a last-ditch effort to kill her from spite for killing him, and fired.

Jamie had gotten about ten yard away when she felt the burning in her shoulder and staggered, falling. A walker staggered out of the brush feet from her, and she scrambled back to her feet, continuing to run.

She could feel blood seeping under her shirt, was gasping for breath, but she tore through the woods. Walkers were heading towards the origin of the gunshots like locusts, and she was constantly dodging and stumbling past them, hand clutching her wounded shoulder desperately.

God, it burned. She just needed to get back to the prison... She was getting dizzy, though, stumbling more frequently. She'd passed at least a dozen walkers, but there were more around, and as she staggered and zig-zagged towards what she could only hope was the prison, she wondered vaguely how much longer she could dodge death.

After an eternity, though, she crested the small hill, staring, shocked, at what she saw. The gunshots had brought a herd from the opposite side of the prison, they were coming around the buildings, at least sixty walkers massing towards the woods, where the gunshots had come from...

She had to get there before they did, and they only had twenty feet to cover before they were between her the gate . She ran, sprinted, stumbling, Walkers turned, staggering after herm drool and blood hanging from them as they clawed feebly at the air, heading after her...

"Somebody! Open the gate!" Rick yelled.

Mika, who'd been standing nearby, ran, seizing the rope and hanging from it, struggling. Slowly but surely, the gates creaked open, and Jamie staggered through just as the walkers came between the fence and the woods.

The gates slammed closed, and Jamie stumbled and finally fell, laying on the cement, blood seeping around her shirt. Someone yelled her name. That was the last thing she heard before the black dots at the edges of her vision took over and she blacked out.
