Ginny was still lost in her own thoughts as they stood in front of the now open vault.

"Hey, Miss Weasley," Harry spoke to her gently and nudged her with his right shoulder. He knew that something was on her mind and he could imagine what it was.

If there was one thing Ginny Weasley was proud of, it was being a Weasley. He was also momentarily shocked as the head goblin called her Mrs. Potter but at the same time the monster in his chest purred.

"No one will take being a Weasley away from you, Gin." Harry said and tucked a strand of silky red hair behind her ear. "Hell I think this is one of the many reasons I love you." He chuckled and elicited a small laugh from her.

"This is only goblin law, outside of this building you'll still be a Weasley and in your stubborn mind and your never satiated stomach you will always be…and believe it or not, as much as I like the ring of my family name combined with your name, I would understand if you'd like to keep it even after we married." He finished and planted a kiss on her forehead lingering as they both closed their eyes and took a breath at the same time.

"It was just so sudden, you know? It's just this entire situation that kind of makes it harder." Ginny told him while she took his left hand into hers and traced the already healed skin where moments before he cut himself. "And I know that, but can we talk about it later?" Ginny asked with a side glance towards the goblin standing next to them.

Harry wholeheartedly agreed with her and he and Rose started to look around their family vault for something to give to her. The siblings joked around a while, showing Ginny the most awful dresses and curios items they found.

"Do you remember when we were given something out of the vault to access it?" Rose asked laughing at her brother while she made her way over to one of the walls full of weapons and armors. "You chose a golden snitch with the Potter crest on it and I…" Rose took something from the wall and turned towards Harry and Ginny, the latter standing outside the vault leaning against the door "…chose one of those!"

Ginny laughed out loud with Harry joining in. Rose clutched a spiked mace that was quite heavy with both her hands.

"I'm still wondering how you're sleeping with something like this under your pillow." Harry told his sister through the laughter as he watched her trying to swing the weapon back and forth.

"It's called magic, Harrykins." Rose retorted after she gave up trying and hung the spiked mace back up.

Just as she turned around a small wooden box caught her attention and she picked it up. Taking a look inside, Rose knew immediately that this was the right object to give to her best friend.

Without a word she walked over to Ginny and passed her the wooden box.

"What's that?" Ginny asked as Harry approached them. Taking a look over her shoulder, Harry felt tremendously happy for his sister being the person she was.

"It's kind of like the grandfather clock at the burrow. It shows you the whereabouts of your family members. It belonged to grandma and her side of the family. See it's changing." Rose explained and the three of them stared at the little pocket watch in amazement.

Fourteen clockhands appeared around the clock whirling around like mad. It was a sight to behold how so many little golden pieces whirled around just to come to a halt at two different places. Five of the clock hands stopped at the word "mortal peril" while the other nine varied between home, safe, and work.

Looking more closely Ginny saw that every clockhand had a name engraved. Her father's, Bill's, Charlie's, Percy's, Fred's and George's stopped at " work" but it surprised her to see that each of the Potters also had a clockhand. Harry, Rose, and James stopped at "safe" and Lily, Daisy, and Daniel stopped at "home". She was confused at first as she saw hermother's and Ron's stopped between "mortal peril" and "at home".

Tears welled up in her eyes as she comprehended what this could mean. The Burrow, her childhood home, filled with so many wonderful memories became a "mortal peril" to the people filling the house with love and joy.

"Thank you so much!" Ginny said through silent tears as she engulfed both Harry and Rose in a tight embrace.

The three broke apart as the goblin cleared his throat. They closed the vault and made their way back up above the surface.

James waited already for them in the entrance hall, the invisibility cloak wrapped around his hands. Ginny just slouched her shoulders and took the cloak from him wordlessly. Harry planted a kiss on her temple before she vanished and indicated that she was ready to go after she took her place between James and Harry.

The rest of the afternoon was spent in muggle London. Ginny was more than relieved to hand James the invisibility cloak back. They spent most of the time browsing through HMV on Oxford street as Ginny took her time to catch up with all the movies, music, and video games she missed the last three years.

Ginny remembered many afternoons in the summer of '92 where she, her brothers, and the Potter siblings competed against each other in Mario Kart and Street Fighter. James even transfigured the garden at the den into a huge racing track for go carts where the kids and the marauders spent a fun afternoon until Lily and Molly arrived and put the three men into their place, before they hexed them into the next universe and back.

The kids spent also a lot time outside around the burrow or the den but, heck, they were 80's/90's kids and enjoyed their childhood. James always pointed out to his wife that he sensitized them to the muggle way of life these days, just as she wanted their kids to grow up - having the best of both worlds. Lily would just roll her eyes and call her husband a childish prat but couldn't suppress a smile gracing her lips every now and then.

So the three teenagers and James, after three hours of browsing through muggle London, found themselves in a small ice cream shop secluded from the hustling main roads of London.

"How can you eat something like that without rotting your teeth?" Harry asked his sister and girlfriend who shared a huge chocolate and bubblegum sundae with white chocolate sauce and marshmallows toppings.

"For someone as sweet as me, there's never sweet enough, o'brother." Rose replied and batted her eyelashes at him.

"As sweet as dad's hairy... ouch!" Harry was rudely interrupted, as he started to lick the ice cream from his spoon, by his father smacking the back of his head.

"Brat!" James exclaimed but smiled fondly at the three young people. Even in times of war, life could give you great moments like these.

The true soldier fights not because he hates what is in front of him, but because he loves what is behind him.

After they came back home Harry, Rose, and Ginny went out to play some quidditch - well Harry was the keeper and the other two tried to score.

Rose hovered next to Harry and nudged his shoulder.

"I'm happy for you, for both of you." Harry blushedslightly, but smiled at his sister and draped his right arm over her shoulder as the two of them waited for Ginny to return with the quaffle.

"The last month somehow was crazy, wasn't it? It feels like we hadn't the time to talk properly, I'm sorry sis!" Harry said, pulling Rose closer and placed a kiss on the crown of her head.

Rose sighed content and bathed in the warmth of her big brothers embrace. She knew it was true and it made her heart ache, because the two of them were very close but at the same time she knew that there was a lot on his mind.

"I know that I should try to focus less on this whole Voldysmorts thing and enjoy the time I can spent with you and Ginny and everyone else really but it's hard, you know" Harry tried to explain as they watched Ginny making her way back towards them.

"Just promise me that we can spend some time together more often from now on. There are a bit more than two weeks left of this summer and back at school we don't see that much of each other and..."

"Don't worry, Rose-nova, we will AND you're forgetting that we got Gin back, so she'll be with you again." Harry interrupted her but received a light punch to his stomach for using that old nickname on her.

"You promised you'd never call me that again!" Rose said glaring at her brother.

"But it was so cute how you danced to that Elvis song."

8-year old Harry reached the top of the stairs and went to make his way over to his and Rose's room as he heard muffled music coming from the other side of the door.

Just how he learned it from his Uncle Padfoot he silently made his way over to the door - avoiding the creaking spot, pulled at the doorknob and slowly turned it to open the door.

Rose danced wildly across the room with her hairbrush in her hand singing and dancing to Elvis' 'Bossa Nova' - James just showed them recently how to use the old turntable. Harry gave himself away as he couldn't stop from laughing out loud as he heard his little sister deepening her voice to do an impression of Elvis and shaking her hips wildly around - he was pretty sure that her words were mostly some gibberish rather than the real lyrics.

"Well what a show, little Rose-nova." Harry was able to say between his laughter just before he was chased by his sister around the whole house three times.

"Prat!" Rose only commented but smiled fondly at the memory.

"Well, we all know that he is, but what did he do now?" Ginny asked while she tossed the quaffle right through the left hoop.

Later in the evening after dinner, James, Lily, Harry, Rose, and Ginny wanted to settle down to play some board games but before that, Lily and Rose gestured for Ginny to follow her down to the basement.

"Where are you three going?" Harry asked as he went to follow them.

"As long as you don't menstruate every month you stay up here, Harrykins." Rose replied with a raised eyebrow, her hand gesturing wildly in front of his midsection.

"I'll pass, thank you." Harry said as he paled slightly and awkwardly turned around to go back into the living room.

Rose smiled triumphantly at Ginny who giggled and shookher head at her best friend's antics but followed Rose down into the potion lab.

As Ginny started to enter the room, she was momentarily startled and stopped on the threshold. Lily was speaking to someone, or rather something, hovering in the middle of the room.

"Come in and close the door, sweetheart." Lily told her casually and in the same moment the figure turned around and Ginny realised that it was Fleur who hovered there above the ground.

" 'ello, Ginny. Désolés, we star-telld you but zis eez a spell Lilee work'd on. It's éxcellent, isn't eet?" Fleur smiled at her and her whole image was traversed by some flickers.

"It's kind of like a hologram spell. You know like in those science-fiction series James and Sirius always watched." Lily explained as she, Rose and Ginny stood in front of Fleur.

Fleur, or rather the image of her, was rather translucent. She was surrounded by a light glow and her voice resonated like she was standing in a huge room made of stone and her voice was echoing off the walls.

"I hope you don't mind, I think it might be the easiest if we bring Fleur into this as well and save the time to explain all of this again. Rose told me that she already mentioned that you could talk with Fleur about your ... well nevertheless, let's get on with it." Lily continued and Ginny only nodded her agreement.

Ginny started to explain it how she did to Rose just three days ago. "Hell, over the last three days a lot has happened!" She thought to herself.

"And w'at do you feel exactly, w'en you 'ave zose moménts?

"I don't feel them, I think. I just know, but it's not like an all-knowing knowledge it's more like...I don't know...it's more like a lightning going through me. One second it's ... there ..., " Ginny tried to explain, clicking her fingers. "... and then it's gone but I know it. Does that make sense?"

She looked questioning from one to another crimping her nose.

"Do you have those... feelings or knowings around everyone or just certain persons?" Lily inquired genuinely interested.

"I'm not much of a help here really." She answered equally genuine, looking rather like in a muddle trying to make sense of what she wanted to say. "But I can't tell you. Sometimes if I'm alone with let's say Rose, I know that those ... foreign certainties are from here, I just know. But at the same time the other day, when we were down at the beach I also received certain... vibes... and somehow I would say I know that they were Rose's, even with everyone else around."

"And with Amelia? How did you know that she's having a baby?" Rose asked again as it was equally confusing for her as for Ginny and, somehow, she wondered if her mum and Fleur might know something.

"It was just like this lightning shooting through me. I had the picture of Sirius and Amelia being parents in me. I wouldn't even say in my head it was...everywhere...and I said it out loud."

"'ow eez eet wiv 'arry?" Fleur asked sharing a look with Lily that Ginny couldn't grasp.

"Nothing mostly, to be exact, well I think. Except for...," Ginny blushed slightly as she saw Rose smirking at her. ",...when we are close, and I mean physically. Oh, and as he proposed to me. He was just standing before me holding my hand but somehow, I felt ... connected to him and I swear I heard him saying what he was about to say to me in my head... before he said it out loud."

Lilly and Fleur both nodded their understanding and Rose looked like she was lost in her own mind. Her brow was furrowed, while her eyes seemed to be staring at a point over her mother's shoulder. The right side of her mouth was raised while her lips were tightly pressed together.

"Do you remember how I told you the other night that you didn't focus on me enough and how I didn't let much out?" Lily asked, reminding Ginny of their conversation before James returned from that mission in Leeds. Ginny nodded.

"I'd like to try something." Lily maneuvered herself facing Ginny, she placed one of her hands on each of Ginny's shoulders and looked her straight in the eyes. "I want you to focus on me. Close your eyes and look for those feeling...or vibes... that you felt the other night, can you do that?"

Ginny shrugged. Took a deep breath and closed her eyes.

She felt faintly the ghosts of those emotions and ... vibes she received from Lily but nothing as strong as the other night.

"Okay, how was that?" Lily asked after Ginny opened her eyes again.

"It's there, the same...vibes like before but more... shallow."

"Okay, and now I want you to do the exact same thing, once more. Ready?" Ginny only nodded and closed her eyes again.

The moment she focused on Lily her eyes flew wide open and without blinking the stared into Lily's emerald green eyes. Those eyes that her boyfriend inherited, and she loved so much. Even if she wanted to, Ginny knew there was no way she could break the eye contact.

Ginny wasn't only flooded with Lily's emotions about the war and her family. She was embraced in a huge wave of love, passion, fear, humor, desperation, guilt, pride, pain. And all of those emotions were accompanied by flashes of pictures running through her.

All of that she saw flashing over Lily's eyes.

Lily let go of her and Ginny stumbled to the floor gasping for air.

"Are you alright, sweetheart? This was far more intense than I expected it to be." Lily said as she helped Ginny up.

"What, in the name of Marlin's...well what the hell was that?" Rose asked in a state of shock looking bewildered at the three witches.

"The first time, I used similar techniques as to shield my mind of from a legilimency intrusion. The second time, I deliberately opened up to you. But whatever this was, you weren't in my head or my mind." Lily began to explain just as much to the others as to herself. "You connected with me on a much deeper level. Not just what was in my mind, but you were able to connect to me. Everything that makes me who I am. I've never felt so...open to someone. It was like you were..."

"...lookin rig't into your soul." Fleur finished and Rose's and Ginny's heads shot up to her hologram. Both had the same expression of confusion and realization written all over their faces.

"That's what this woman in her dreams meant, isn't it?" Rose exclaimed and the confusion vanished. "Connecting your soul to another is ... it's impossible! But that's what this Vis meant with Ginny's powers!"

"I assume as much, yeah." Lily confirmed her daughter's statement.

"But Lily, zat would mean...zees kind of magic eet is only known by ..." Fleur said bewilderedly her eyes scanning something invisible in front of her.

"By whom? This is not because of the diary is it? Because from what Harry told me about horcruxes...if this is some evil and dark kind of magic, I'm not sure if I want this!" Ginny said with her hands raised in a defensive manner. Her eyes looked inquiring from Lily to Fleur and back.

"No, not at all. If there's any kind of magic most certainly not dark and evil, it is this one. If I dare to say, it might even be the exact opposite as to what a horcrux is, sweetheart." Lily placed a hand on Ginny's right forearm and tried to calm her down.

"Then who did you mean?" Ginny asked Fleur.

"Eet eez Veela magic." Fleur's answer was rather emotionless and almost comical.

"But I'm not a Veela. There's no one in my family, well yet," Ginny said, and Fleur smiled warmly at her, "who has thoseabilities." Ginny tried to make sense of all of this, but it was in vain.

"You're right. But sometimes over the events of time it happened that magical abilities showed up outside of their usual...genetic form." Lily tried clarify what this all meant. "Suddenly people realized their daughter was able to breatheunder water just like merpeople do. Sometimes people would find themselves growing to become a giant without ever indicating any traits of being a giant. Sometimes special kinds of magic find its way into other beings without an explanation. Some scholars think that it's a way for magic to balance itself in the world. You know kind of like: If there are twenty people standing on this side of the scale, there have to be enough people on the other side of the scale to keep it balanced."

Ginny and Rose listened attentively to what Lily told them. They wanted to get this straight the first time.

"And sometimes it's not that easy to balance a scale. You know, for example, that not every person has the same weight. Those twenty persons on the one side can be very thin and small, and imagine like it would only take ten people, which are fully grown and maybe more chubby, on the other side to balance the scale. Those twenty people are wizards and witches like us. Having completely normal magical abilities, maybe one more magically skilled than the other but all magical. And then there are those ten other people. They aren't 'just' magical, they have special magical abilities the other twenty people don't possess. Those are abilities like to tell fortunes, being invincible, parseltongue, fairy or veela magic, which both are very diverse that it's hard to pinpoint them, you know what I mean...," Lily explained and started to pace the room.

"But sometimes there aren't enough people who could naturally balance the scale, and that's when magic gets out of hand. It makes someone balance the scale, so maybe someone who would just be a normal witch or wizard or even muggle would end up with magical abilities far beyond ours. And I think that's what happened with you."

"But...what does that make me? Is this all coincidence or do I have this ability for a reason?" Ginny had so many questions whirling around in her head that she wasn't even sure this was what she wanted to know.

"That is something we will never know, sweetheart, but if you ask me than this is most certainly not a coincidence. You having the ability to connect with another soul and Harry sharing his soul with a piece of Tom, and for him to survive he has to get rid of that foul thing...call me a dreamer but I think this means something." Lily finished, taking Ginny's hands in hers.

"Then what does this all have to do with Veela magic? I mean if this is some kind of Veela magic, why?" Rose asked directing her question towards Fleur.

"Zat's a questshe-on I can part-lee answair and part-lee I will 'ave to do zome résairch on. But most of all you 'avé to know zat today zéré isn't un magical beeng known 'aving ze pure abilitees of lé veela magic. Zéré are rumurs and such but to most of la world zéy don't exeest lik zey did around a 'undred years ago." Fleur saw how Rose and Ginny, even Lily listened very closely to what she said.

"Ze word veela comes from ze east european word "wila". Zome european cultuairs such as ze sairbian and ukranién bélieve een ze mystic lejend of those called "wilas" which are young women wiv streakng blond 'air allureng mén to zéir own will. But ze muggles don't know zat zey believe a lejend zat eez een fact part-lee true. Zose 'wilas' aré in fact veelas. Ze word wila or vila een othair translashe-ons comes from ze word 'viti' what means as much as 'to wind' but eet can also mean 'air' or 'breeze'. Eet eez bélieved zat zéy got zis name because zéy moved and acted very..airy. Ze real veelas were even able to use le wind as a mean of transport. Zey transformed into a ghost lik form and ... Wooosh ... gone wiv ze wind. But zey got zeir name een ze magical world by othair means and zis eez le reahl-lee importantone." Fleur paused and looked from Lily to Ginny and back.

"Dué to ze kind of magical abilitees veellas possezéd, zéy were known as 'anima oratos' what een latin méans as much as 'soul speaker' - funny énough anima een latin can also mean zometimes 'air' or 'breezé' what makes le explanashé-on complete. Now ze magical abilitees zat you, Ginny, are starténg to show are pretty closé to those of an Anima Orato."

Ginny's eyes widened in shock. What does this all mean and how the bloody hell would she know how to use this...power.

"But why are there only a few with the abilities of a Veela or even none of one with the pure abilities of the Veela magic left?" Rose asked and leaned back against one of the potion tables.

"Veela's lived een small communitees spréad all across continental europé for more than eight 'undred years. Against common belief zeré aré or béttair were éven male veelas, zo zéy stikd wiv zeir own kind. Ovair zé years every now and zen a veela would find her way into ze muggle world useng zeir abilitees to ... Enjoy zemselves. Zat léd to le léjend of la wilas een eastern europé. While more and more veelas started to fullow zat way of life zey also started to 'ave kids wiv muggles air airdinary wizards and witchés. That's 'ow zéir magical abilitees main-lee got lost, but also due to zat zéy were 'unt down by many muggles and wizardéng communitees as zéy believéd zé veelas were évil creatuairs. But zéy weren't , een fact, zeir abilitees, ze magic of an anima orato eez rather...good. Eet méans zat zé veela was able to connect to ze soul of zomeone and reahl-lee comes to know ze pairson, wiv all zeir deepést desires, fears and wishes. Zey on-lee took zat adventaje to give ze people what zey reahl-lee wented orévén needed, I would even sai it's ze abilitay to make zomeone 'appy." Fleur knew this was a lot to take in but she wanted to let them know everything she knew about this matter.

"You know ze funny thing abut people eez zat, zometimes zey are more afraid abut zéir gréatést desires and wishes than abut zeir fears and meestakes. And thosé péople saw évil een an Anima Orato."

"How ... I mean I understand what you're telling us but how could having a connection to Harry's soul help in any way to get rid of the horcrux?" Ginny asked the question that was on her mind since Fleur started to explain all of this.

"Zat eez ze problem : I don't know. But as I said earlier i've 'eard a rumur zat zere was a new veela communitay zomewereeen europe. Ze rumur was goeng around when I was steehl at beauxbatons but maybe I can get to ze bottom of zis wiv ze'élp of zome of mon amies."

"That would be great, I knew you would be the best person to involve in this, Fleur. I think the four of us should keep this to ourselves for the moment as I ..." Lily was interrupted by a voice that Ginny knew too well.

"Bill zis is...what are you doeng...? Quel toupet !" Fleurs voice was heard as the picture became blurry and the room Fleur sat in rotated in front of their eyes until Bill left eye came into view, making the three of them jump back a little at the dimension of it.

"Hey firefly, hey Rosie and Lils! What kind of spell is this?"

"It's one where you have to place your wand far more away from you than you're momentarily doing, Billy Boy!" Rose answered and laughed at the rude gesture Bill tried to make but failed as only half of his hand was seen.

"I think we're done here for today as we're leaving our manners behind. We'll see you two tomorrow. Au revoir Fleur, bye Bill!" Lily said and took her wand from the table and cancelled the spell.

"Well that was..."

",...informative!" Ginny finished Rose's sentence and the two of them stared at the floor were Bill's eye hologram hovered a few seconds earlier.

"I know this is a lot to take in, but we will start working this all out." Lily said as she started to lead the girls out of the potions lab and up the stairs. Lily stopped at the last step with her hand on the handle and turned towards the two teenagers. But before she could even say a word Ginny beat her to it.

"Does it seem unfair if I want to keep this from Harry until we know for sure that this might lead somewhere? I just don't want to disappoint him or raise his hopes without a good reason."

"That's just what I wanted to propose. I think so too, it's for the better if we keep this to us until Fleur knows more about all of this, but until then I'd like you to start to focus on those...vibes some more." Ginny nodded her agreement.

"Only on you and Rose if that is alright with you. I probably would feel like a stalker doing this to others without their knowing." Rose and Lily only smiled at her and the three witches made their way through the door and headed into the living room where James and Harry had already set up 'Monopoly'.

"We were just about to send some rescue squad down there." James joked as they took their seats on the floor around the coffee table. Lily just lifted her eyebrows and stared at him.

"Alright, Lily-love gets two hundred bucks extra, because I love her so." James said.

"Thank you, darling!" Lily took a two hundred dollar note from James personal stack. "That's an action card that has to make the game, I think. 'Make Love your goal, not money! Give two hundred dollars to you wife! If not go to jail! Do not pass go, do not collect 200!" Lily finished her sentence of impersonating a heavy Texas accent.

Everyone had to laugh at the look of complete disbelief about his wife on James face. Merlin, how could he love this woman more?
