A/N: I know it has been forever and I've got no excuses other than life and missing muse. I literarily had to read this whole thing again cause I didn't even remember myself what I had written. Thankfully tho it gave me some ideas on how to start wrapping this up and hopefully it won't take too long!

Anyway thank you for those who have stuck with me regardless off really slow updates. Enjoy the new chapter!

Disclaimer: I do not own Harry Potter.

Halloween 1994

Dora sighed as she looked out of the window in her dormitory. It was raining and she could hear the thunder roaring somewhere in the distance.

A right weather for Halloween.

Dora had never liked Halloween as it was so close to the day when she had thought she lost everything. She used to spend every Halloween curled up in her room crying because of the loneliness she felt, because of how much she missed Sky, Fox and Blake. Her parents had always tried to get her to join the festivities but it had never felt right for her. It would have been like she'd be celebrating the death of her family.

Thus it was understandable that she wasn't in a mood for the feast the staff arranged every year. This year it was even more special as the participant schools of the Triwizard tournament, Durmstrang and Beauxbatons, were in attendance and the Champions would be chosen. Dora, however, had no interest in the whole tournament, least of all on Halloween.

Two years ago it had been better. Sky had been there with her, understanding how she felt because he felt the same – even more so as he was the one who lost his real parents as well on Halloween. But now… now she was alone once again, only her thoughts keeping her company. Sky was somewhere in the unknown and would be for Merlin knew how long. The only news Dora received of him was through newspapers and the odd word from Marcus, who never – understandably – went into specifics.

It had been one year, 123 days and 9 hours since she had last seen Sky. And yes, she had counted. She knew his job was extremely important, but still she missed him so much and wished he'd come back.

She worried about him, being out there all alone, doing all those things. Dora knew how much Sky detested killing and while they both knew how necessary it was in this situation she worried how he was handling it. It didn't help that she was haunted by nightmares of seeing him getting killed on this mission. It had all begun less than a year ago when they had studied Boggarts with Remus.

Flashback

"Books away and wands out." Remus, or Professor Lupin as Dora was supposed to call him in class, said as the final students found their seats. An excited chatter ran throughout the room as the students hurried to obey. Dora smiled. She knew already that Remus would be one of the most popular teachers in the school.

Remus told the students to stand up and cleared the tables off before fetching a modest-sized chest from the back office of the classroom. The chest rattled against the lock and the students stared at it cautiously but curiously.

"What's in there, Professor?" Terry Boot asked curiosity lacing his voice and was met with a mysterious smile.

"Does anyone have any guesses?" Remus asked.

Dora looked over her puzzled classmates and as nobody seemed to open their mouths, she decided to venture a guess.

"Is it a Boggart, sir?" She asked though quite confident in her answer. Although she had never encountered one, Sky had told her about his experience and in what kind of places she might encounter one.

"10 points to Hufflepuff." Remus said smiling broadly to her. "As Dora guessed, we will be studying Boggarts today. Now, does anyone know what a Boggart is?" He asked and a few hands popped up. Dora tuned out the explanation as she thought of what Sky had told her about the creatures. They turned into a person's greatest fear, he had said. He had told her how his had turned into the dead bodies of his family: Blake, Fox and her. He had been seven at the time and had been under Marcus' care for little over a year. He told her it had changed as he had gotten older but had not told her what it currently was.

Dora wondered what her greatest fear was. There were many possibilities but her guess was that hers would be quite similar to Sky's. She tried to imagine how to turn any of her possibilities somehow funny. She wasn't sure she could do it.

She was snapped out of her thoughts as her classmates started lining up to face the Boggart. Hesitantly she moved to the near end of the line and watched as her classmates faced the creature one by one. She felt a spike of melancholy as she watched them. Their fears varied from spiders and snakes to ghouls and clowns. There was no death and gore. They were all still innocent, untainted.

Unlike her.

But in truth she was happy about it. For them. She wouldn't wish her past experiences on anyone, much less thirteen-year-old children.

She only wished she could still be like them.

The line shortened fast and soon it was her turn. Dora glanced at Remus who gave her an encouraging smile, before stepping forward.

The Boggart formed into three humanoid shapes, two big ones and one small. All of them were lit up in flames and behind them burned the first home Dora remembered knowing: The Shack.

An ear-piercing screams echoed through the classroom as the figures suffered. The small one reached a burning hand towards Dora and pleaded at her with big emerald eyes. Eyes she knew all too well.

"Help us Dora, why don't you help us? Why did you run away? You could have saved us!" The flaming body of a six-year-old Sky asked, anguish filling his voice as he burned alive.

Dora was frozen. She could do nothing but stare as her family burned alive in front of her, tears running down her cheeks. She did not register the horrified gasps and shrieks of her classmates or her body morphing into her natural look. All she could do was stare and feel the sorrow and guilt the words of the Boggart caused her.

"You could have saved us"

And then it was all gone.

What had felt like an eternity to Dora was truly only a minute it took Remus to recover from the shock of seeing his godson burning alive in front of him. He stepped in front of her and the Boggart turned into a full moon before transforming into a balloon and disappearing back in to the chest.

End of Flashback

Remus had quickly dismissed the class and come to make sure she was okay, but she wasn't. She couldn't get the images out of her head. She had had nightmares for months. They had only loosened their hold on her after she received a letter from Sky. Apparently Remus had told him about what had happened and he had risked his whole missing to send reassurances that he was alive and that what happened all those years ago wasn't her fault.

Dora knew it wasn't. There was nothing she could have done being so young and unable to control her magic but still the guilt gnawed at her at times and she could see her Boggart in her dreams. Those dreams doubled with various ones where Sky was killed during a mission made it almost impossible for Dora to sleep. She had tried all possible potions but none could get rid of those images her unconsciousness provided.

What she really needed was for Sky to come back.

Sky gazed around the Great Hall as the students chattered excited about the Triwizard tournament and the reveal of the Champions. He was situated by the entrance to the hall where the chosen Champions would gather – the perfect vantage point to keep an eye on the whole hall. He spotted the Team 5 as well as several other Unspeakables all in position disguised as Aurors from France, Bulgaria and Britain.

It had been Sirius' idea to have Aurors attend Hogwarts for the duration of the Tournament and Marcus and Rufus Scrimgeour had made it happen. It was brilliant really. They only had to publish an article about the concern for safety in the Tournament and with its reputation, not to mention the recent attacks on people, it was a piece of cake to get the Ministers of each country to "come up" with the idea.

And the best part was that there was nothing Dumbledore could do about it. Marcus had worked magic with the Unspeakable network – Sky really shouldn't have been surprised how many connections they had in foreign countries as well – and made sure that nearly all Aurors were Unspeakables in various disguises. Now they had eyes all around the castle and most importantly on Dumbledore.

Sky had insisted on joining them, having more or less established a solid foundation on his previous mission and now he could easily continue it on the side.

He thought back to his summons few weeks previously.

Flashback

Sky entered Marcus' office with a smile on his lips. He couldn't believe it was over a year since he had last been there. He spotted his dad sitting behind his desk frowning at a piece of paper before looking up and noticing Sky enter. A large smile graced his lips as he stood and stepped forward to hug him.

"Sky!"

"Hi dad." Sky smiled and hugged him back. It had been several months since he had last seen Marcus as it had been imperative to have as little contact as possible in order to maintain their cover.

"How are you, son?" Marcus pulled back and looked at him searchingly. Sky knew what he was looking for. He was trying to assess his mental state after everything he had done within the past year.

"I'm fine, dad." Sky said sincerely. And truly he was. He didn't like what he had had to do as his Sparrow persona but it was necessary. They were at war and people died in a war. He had had his moments of guilt and questioning himself, but Z had helped him overcome them. He was truly grateful to have had Z as his partner on the mission and had learned a lot more about the quiet Japanese wizard.

Seemingly satisfied with what he found Marcus nodded and gestured Sky to sit down.

"Any new developments since we last spoke?" He asked. "Did you find it?"

Sky nodded.

"Yes. The cup was at Bellatrix vault as presumed. Both the ring and the cup has been destroyed." He said and put the items on Marcus' desk.

"Good. Five down, two to go. Do you have any ideas where the diadem could be? The snake Tom obviously keeps with him."

"At this point Hogwarts is the strongest candidate." Sky mused.

Marcus nodded.

"Speaking of Hogwarts, did you hear about the Triwizard Tournament?"

"Yes, I read about it in the paper. Why?"

"Sirius had an idea on how to get more eyes on Hogwarts." Marcus said and proceeded to explain the plan to Sky.

"Brilliant." Sky grinned as he finished. "I want in."

Marcus opened his mouth to speak but Sky interrupted him before he got the chance.

"Z and I have been underground for a year and slandered Toms name as much as we possibly can. The underworld knows about his blood status and hypocrisy. Now it's up to them to refuse him when he attempts to recruit them. And what comes to Sparrow, the foundation is strong. The Death Eaters fear him and Z and I can continue doing the raids on the side. And as I already said it is more than likely that the diadem is in Hogwarts, possibly in the Chamber of Secrets which means you will need me to get in there." He said crossing his arms as if daring Marcus to prove him wrong.

Marcus smiled at his son's defiance.

"Before you so swiftly interrupted me, I was going to say I agree with you." He said dryly.

"You do?" Sky asked surprised.

"Yes. Like you said there is nothing more we can do at the criminal front and the raids can be done on the side. I am also thinking of having a few more people join on that front so that you can concentrate on finding the diadem." Marcus said. "Besides, there is a certain Metamorphmagus who is feeling neglected, I'm sure." He grinned at Sky's face lighting up at the mention of the girl before guilt and longing entered his expression.

"Don't worry son" Marcus squeezed his shoulder. "You will see her soon enough."

End Flashback

Now it was Halloween and Sky had barely made it to the feast having had complications with his last raid, but thankfully Z promised to handle the aftermath so that Sky could establish his next identity at Hogwarts – Auror Chris Bordeaux, French, 28-years old, short blond hair, grey eyes and terrible English language skills.

He had been introduced earlier to the staff along with several others and once again he had felt Dumbledore read through his memories he had created for Chris. He had had to endure his grandfatherly smile as the old coot showed off his French skills and talked to Sky like he was his favourite grandchild. It was disgusting.

But now Sky's attention wasn't on Dumbledore but on the Hufflepuff table as he searched for the one person he truly wished get a glimpse at. Only she wasn't there. The usually bright pink hair was missing from the midst of the Puffs and from the whole Great Hall.

However, before Sky had the chance to ponder on reasons as to why that was and get all worked up, the Goblet of Fire lit up and spit out the first name of the Champions.

"Fleur Delacour, Beauxbatons."

Sky watched as the girl rose from the Ravenclaw table while the rest of the Hall cheered. Sky held back a snort of amusement as he observed more than half of the male population gazing after her like lost puppies. Although the girl was only half Veela her aura was quite strong. Sky, however felt none of it as he had eyes for only one girl.

Shortly after another name was spit out:

"Victor Krum, Durmstrang."

Another round of cheer went through the Hall as the Quidditch star walked through the same door as the Veela had and the Goblet spit out the final name:

"Cedric Diggory, Hogwarts."

Sky smiled as the Hufflepuff table exploded in cheers, the rest of the school following. Cedric was a good choice in Sky's opinion. He knew the boy to be fair and honest. He only worried that he might be too honest for this kind of game. The foreign students would surely try everything they could to get advantages over the others and Sky knew without a doubt that their Headmaster and -mistress alike would do anything for their school to win.

The door closed behind Cedric and Dumbledore opened his mouth to speak but fell silent as the Goblet lit up for a fourth time. Sky tensed, all his senses alert as another paper was spit out of the Goblet knowing this was not part of the plan.

Dumbledore stared at the paper for several moments as the entire Great Hall held their breaths in anticipation on what was to come. No one, least of all Sky was prepared for the name written on the small paper.

"Harry Potter."
