And I'm back with another chapter! I want to thank superfan and Celgress for reviewing last chapter. Anyway this chapter will be an aftermath chapter!

I own nothing but the plot

Normal pov

After a few hours of flying the league back from War World with his ring Green Lantern was more than happy when Watchtower finally came into view. Now he'd finally get a chance to recharge once he got to the tower. When the group entered the tower they found that the rest of the league was there as well. Though Wonder Woman, Batman and Flash seemed to be in a bit of an argument.

"Hey what's going on?" Superman questions causing the three to pause and look in his direction.

"Sups!" Flash says in excitement quickly running over to the group then running back to Batman and Wonder Woman. "See Bats I told you they'd be back safe and sound!"

"What exactly happened?" Wonder Woman asked. "Hawkgirl's distress call said that there was an explosion and she couldn't find J'onn or Superman?"

"Yes we were getting rid of an asteroid that was heading towards earth." Hawkgirl begins to explain. "Everything seemed fine at first but then I found out that the asteroid had hydrogen pockets inside, I tried to warn Superman and J'onn but the explosive was already set to blow they didn't have enough time to move."

"The explosion knocked us out and we were picked up by an alien slave ship." J'onn continues the story.

"An alien slave ship?" Batman asked evenly.

"Yep apparently we were picked up to be entertainment in planet called War World." Superman adds in. "And believe me the planet is as bad as the name."

"Let me guess you had to fight to the death?" Batman asked narrowing his eyes.

"Only they didn't like that he refused to kill." J'onn says shaking his head. "That tyrant would have ended him if the people hadn't liked him so much."

"It turned out alright in the end though." Green Lantern adds. "Got rid of that king and destroyed a planet killing death ray."

"And hey they even offered to make Superman here their new king." Hawkgirl proclaims.

"Which he turned down." Storm states. "And there went my chances of being queen of an entire planet."

"That's too bad." Wonder Woman said. "It's the second highest level."

"Second highest level?" Flash questions looking back and forth between Storm and Wonder Woman.

"It's kind of an inside joke. Basically all members of royalty not so secretly want to rule an entire world." Wonder Woman explains. "It's a true height of power to be able to say that you rule over an entire planet."

"It's a great height of power the only thing that passes would be to be worshiped as a god or goddess by everyone on a planet." Storm proclaims. "And I don't mean worshiped like admired I mean that the entire planet actually prays to."

"Hasn't that already happened to you?" Superman asked.

"I guess in a way yes, but it wasn't the whole planet." Storm answered with a shrug. "Anyway that's what happened with us what were you three arguing about?"

"Bats over here wanted to go searching for you in deep space even though space is very big and we had no idea which direction you guys went." Flash answered with a smirk.

"Not to mention that you were so far away that we couldn't reach you on your communicators." Wonder Woman added in.

"How very risky." Storm says with a smirk. "You must have been very worried?"

"Well considering that three members of this team left in search of two other members that may have been injured or worse. It's only logical that after a certain amount of time with no communication that the next step would be to go searching after all that's five missing members."

"Yep he was super worried." Superman says in a teasing voice causing the other members to laugh.

"It was only a logical reaction, nothing more nothing least." Batman says sternly.

"Come on Bats!" Flash says running over to Batman and putting an arm around his shoulder. "You were worried there's no shame in that!"

"And considering what happened to you not so long ago with being poisoned, I'd say we're just about even." Superman continues on teasingly.

"Not yet." Batman says with a smirk before walking away from the room.

"Why do I feel like I'm going to regret saying that?" Superman asked Storm.

"Knowing him you probably will." Storm says with a shrug.

Cut to the next day

It had now been a week since Richard White had been hired as the new assistant editor and now his training was nearly complete. "Okay Rick what's on your desk first thing in the morning?" Ororo asked she was sitting down on top of Rick's desk quizzing him on the ins and outs of the Daily Planet.

"Articles from Tim, George and Jessie the early birds." Rick answered Ororo. "They always get their stuff done as quickly as possible."

"You fact check Jason's articles because?" Ororo asked.

"His articles are borderline conspiracy theories." Rick answered confidently.

"While Shane's?" Ororo further questions.

"Are conspiracy theories." Rick answered.

"And Kat?" Ororo asked.

"Hardly ever tries to get the real facts." Rick answered assuredly. "If the gossip is too juicy it's probably not real."

"Very good." Ororo said nodding her head in approval. "Tom?"

"Needs to always be spell checked." Rick answered.

"Sarah?" Ororo asked.

"Has too many run on sentences." Rick answered.

"Lois?" Ororo asked.

"Over explains so one or two paragraphs usually has to be cut from her articles." Rick answered.

"And Clark?" Ororo asked with a smirk.

"Tends to write articles that are more one-sided." Rick answered. "He doesn't need to be fact checked he just needs to be balanced."

"Well congrats Rick you now know everything you need to be a good assistant editor." Ororo proclaims. "Now just remember to all those things and you should be fine."

"I really appreciate you training me Ororo." Rick says with a smile. "Although I don't believe you told me your article flaws?"

"Because I don't have one so-" Ororo began to say confidently when suddenly a loud cough interrupted her sentence, she turned to look in the direction of the other reporters but everyone seemed to still be busy typing away.

"You know if I didn't know any better I'd swear that the cough came from Clark's desk?" Rick said shaking his head. "But that would be crazy it's not like he could hear our conversation?"

"True." Ororo nodded in agreement. Although the cough did sound a bit sarcastic. "Moving on, Perry is a big coffee drinker but?"

"But it's not good for his heart so make sure there is at least one pot of decaf in the kitchen." Rick answered.

"Because?" Ororo questioned further.

"Oh, because even though he's a big coffee drinker he's an even bigger workaholic so he won't wait around for coffee to brew which makes it easier to sneakily give him decaf instead of regular caffeine." Rick answered happily. "And never bring him tea."

"Yeah I still remember when that poor temp thought that was a good idea." Ororo says shaking her head at the memory. "She was gone by lunch."

"Tea would probably help to bring down his stress though." Rick states.

"Maybe." Ororo says with a shrug. "Linda and Tina?"

"Are mentally checked out by three everyday expect for Friday when they check out at about two, one if they have plans that day." Rick answers.

"Alright then that's it. There is nothing left for me to teach you." Ororo states standing up from the desk. "All you can do now is learn."

"Thanks again Ororo you were a really big help." Rick proclaims thanking her again.

"No problem Rick." Ororo tells him. "If you have any other questions feel free to ask." With that said Ororo walked away from Rick's desk and over to Clark's. "Was that cough really necessary?"

"I have no idea what you mean?" Clark says teasingly. "I was just sitting here working hard on my one-sided article. You know we all can't have flawless articles like you?"

"No you can't." Ororo just says evenly.

"So do you really think that Rick will be alright doing this job?" Clark asked his girlfriend.

"LANE! In my office now!" Perry shouts suddenly opening his office door for a moment only to slam it shout. Lois stood up from her desk and walked over to Perry's office, not even five minutes later a shouting match could be heard between Perry and Lois. Rick stood up picked up a copy of Lois's article and a bottle of heart pills for Perry then headed for the office himself.

"I think he will do just fine." Ororo says assuring. "Did you call you mother and tell her you were alright?"

"Yes, though she's asked that I stay away from asteroids from here on out." Clark tells her.

"And by ask you mean she ordered you too?" Ororo says with a smirk.

"Of course." Clark says nodding his head. "It's strange I mean I can do all these amazing things I have a good team and yet Ma's-"

"You're her son." Ororo interrupts him. "It doesn't matter how powerful you are or how many powerful friends you have she's still going to worry. Just like Bruce worried and wanted to go searching for us even though he had no clues or leads to track down."

"I would have done the same thing so I can't really blame him for worrying." Clark says in an amused tone.

"And you've certainly enjoyed teasing him about that." Ororo says with a smirk.

"Hey he does it all the time to me I don't see why I can't do the same to him every once in a while." Clark says with a shrug.

"I guess you deserve your one moment to shine." Ororo states when her cell phone suddenly vibrates, she looks down at the message then stands up gathering her things to leave. "Speaking of Bruce it's time for us to go have lunch at Chez Amor."

"Wait isn't that the most romantic restaurant in the city?" Clark asked narrowing his eyes in annoyance.

"It's not the most just in the top ten." Ororo answers with a shrug after she had gathered all of her things she quickly kisses him on the cheek and heads over to the elevator. "See you later."

Not long after Ororo was gone did Clark feel his phone vibrate. Told you I'd get you back. Bruce's message read. "One moment to tease him back is that really so hard?"

A/n and that's the end of that chapter sorry it took so long and wasn't very long I've been looking at some of my older stories and trying to figure out which ones I can complete soon and which ones might end up being deleted or never updated again. I also keep coming up with ideas for new fanfics which is distracting to say the least but I promise this story isn't on the chopping block…yet.
