Picture-Perfect
Pairing: Sirius/James
Sirius closed his eyes, his head pillowed on James' chest. They had told Remus and Peter that they were going to be busy. They were supposed to brainstorm some ideas for pranks. Remus asked for a prank that 'wasn't so mean' and Peter asked for one that 'made a slimy snake cry.'
James and Sirius would probably lean closer to what Peter wanted, but they were sure Remus would forgive them. Remus always forgave them.
But instead of doing what they said they would do, they were lounging in bed cuddling.
Sirius sighed and nuzzled his nose against James' finely muscled chest.
James chuckled. "That tickles."
"My nose tickles you?"
"No, the slight stubble on your cheeks does."
Sirius blinked innocently as he smirked up from his place on James' chest. "Are you complaining?"
James tightened his hold. "Not complaining. Just making an observation."
Sirius lifted his body up so he hovered over James. "If you complain, I can definitely leave.
James grabbed Sirius' neck and pulled his head down so their lips smashed together. He nipped at Sirius' lips, and Sirius eagerly returned the kiss, angling his head for a deeper and more passionate kiss.
Sirius clawed at James' chest, itching to crawl into James and wear him like a second skin. Inside James, Sirius would forever be protected. He just knew it.
James rolled them so he was now on top. Sirius thrust up and rubbed his pelvis against James, enjoying the friction.
James broke the kiss and panted heavily against Sirius' neck. He pressed soft kisses against Sirius' collarbone.
Sirius moaned, his eyes closed as he enjoyed his lover's touch. He felt the bed move as James laid back down next to him.
Sirius allowed his eyes open and stared at the familiar face, their heads shared the pillow. "Why'd you stop?" Sirius tried to ignore the fact there was a whine in his voice.
James stared down at him. "Maybe I just want to enjoy this picture-perfect moment."
Sirius' heart skipped a beat at the sincerity in his lover's voice. He had never been this happy before in his life. He tightened his hold around James' torso. "It is a picture-perfect moment," he agreed.
James claimed Sirius' lips once again, and Sirius opened himself and allowed himself to bask in James' touch and taste.
The deep and all-consuming kiss soon gentled. He loved the different types of kisses James bestowed on him. They both had their merits.
Sirius sighed happily. "You know, Remus and Peter will probably intrude on us soon. They hate being left to their own devices for too long."
James nodded. "I know. And we have nothing to show them for our being away from them. No new prank ideas. How are we going to explain that?"
Sirius chuckled. "I don't think it will be that much of a surprise. I mean, it's no secret we're together. If anything, they probably expected this to happen."
James sighed. "I hate dealing with their knowing looks and smirks. It's annoying."
"Maybe I can make you forget about all of those annoyances." Sirius pressed his lips against James' lips.
The kiss was eagerly returned. James cupped Sirius' face and hook his leg around Sirius' leg, holding him firmly as if afraid Sirius might try to wiggle away.
Sirius didn't try to wiggle away, though. When he was with James, he never wanted to wiggle away.
While he was in James' arms, all of his worries faded away.
This was their perfect moment. It was just James and Sirius. Alone. They were safe in their own cocoon. And Sirius never wanted to leave the security of James' arms.
