It hadn't been long since he got to Brazil, and he was still new to everything there. Was he going to be fine while training there in beach volleyball? He wasn't regretting leaving Japan to travel to the other side of the world, but he was still hoping that he'd be able to adjust to the new situation soon. He couldn't speak the language, and he didn't have any friends. Plus, his roommate Pedro didn't seem to be the kind of person who wanted to bond with him.

Hinata was taking an evening walk on the beach, hands in his pockets, trying to think positive. Was he going to be fine? He really hoped to. He needed to get stronger, in order to go back to Japan and join a pro team. He was no good the way he was now. But it wasn't going to be easy, that was for sure.

Only a few days later, however, he met someone he'd never thought he would meet there: Oikawa. How long had it been? He was still in his first year of high school the last time they met. Well, if that wasn't a great surprise! Meeting someone he knew on the other side of the world was enough to cheer him up a lot. His usual smile was back on his face, and on the plus side he even got to play beach volleyball with Oikawa as a team.

After that meeting with Oikawa, he immediately became his old self again. And he ended up easily becoming friends with his roommate Pedro. In the end, his time spent in Brazil ended up being amazing.

Since he was always busy, Hinata didn't have much time to enjoy Brazil as a tourist. One time, however, Pedro decided to take him to visit a few places he was going to consider cool. They took an entire week of vacation, and Hinata had the possibility to see so much during that time. He even ended up taking a lot of pictures with his phone, and once they got back to their apartment be printed a few of them. He took some time to take them all in, once they were printed, to decide which one was the most beautiful, and in the end he decided on one. It was a panoramic view of Rio, including the city, the sea and the mountains. It was almost poetic to think about it, that of all the places he visited, his favorite was the one where he was playing volleyball.

When he got back to Japan, Hinata took all of the pictures he had of Brazil with him. Most of them he left home, but only one was folded carefully and stored inside his wallet: the panoramic view of Rio. Taking that picture with him was like having a little of Brazil always with him. Because the two years he'd spent there had been amazing after all, and he was never going to forget them.
