THE DOCTOR
Well one of us has to, and your last.

Kellie closed the Tardis doors as she took in her surroundings.
The Tardis had landed in a park, a small field surrounded by hedges, several dog litter bins & a multitude of surrounding houses in easy distance. A children's park in one corner, a gigantic power line tower in the other.

KELLIE
So where are we?
THE DOCTOR
Earth, 2025.
KELLIE
Again.
THE DOCTOR
Tardis SOS, flagged up on the physic paper too.
KELLIE
Ok
THE DOCTOR
Something's happening around here...

The Doctor marches forwards towards a gate leading to the edge of the park. A tree and a poster on the tree captures his eye.

(Missing. Jack The Cat. Last seen March 7th.)

THE DOCTOR
What's the date Kellie?
KELLIE
Er,
Kellie pulls her phone from her pocket & reads the screen.
KELLIE
March 8th, 2025.
THE DOCTOR
Well where's he gone then. He must be starving. Jack!

Having walked to the edge of the park the Doctor drops to the ground, laid out calling out for Jack. He looks at Kellie encouraging her help.

KELLIE
(Quietly) Jack...

Kellie drops to the ground next to the Doctor laying out.

THE DOCTOR
Jack. Jack?

The Doctor looks around as he calls.

THE DOCTOR
Mi - owe...
KELLIE
What are we doing Doctor?
THE DOCTOR
Looking for Jack, he must be around here somewhere.

The Doctor reached into his pocket & pulls out a pouch of cat food.

THE DOCTOR
Jack...
KELLIE
Doctor?
THE DOCTOR
Yes?
KELLIE
Just to be clear, we've landed in a new time, new space, and we're looking for a missing cat?
THE DOCTOR
Yes, something like that.
KELLIE
Ok,
THE DOCTOR
Jack?...
KELLIE
What does he look like?
THE DOCTOR
Who?
KELLIE
Jack?
THE DOCTOR
I don't know, a cat I suppose. Pointy ears & a tail probably.

The Doctor glances at the poster again.

THE DOCTOR
And he's ginger.

The Doctor pulls a bowl from his pocket and pours the cat food into it.

THE DOCTOR
Jack, Jack, Jack...
KELLIE
Where are we?
THE DOCTOR
Redruth.
KELLIE
Where's that?
THE DOCTOR
Cornwall.
KELLIE
Can we go to the beach?
THE DOCTOR
Yes, good idea. Soon as we find Jack.
KELLIE
What's all this with Jack. You've never met him?
THE DOCTOR
Not yet, will in a minute.

The Doctor looks around still calling out Jack & making cat sounds.

JACK
Mi-owe
THE DOCTOR
There he is, Jack. Mi-owe.

The Doctor beckons towards Jack who has appeared from the hedges. Encouraging Jack towards the food bowl Jack wonders over and starts eating. The Doctor nuzzles him & rubs his head.

THE DOCTOR
Where you been naughty Jack. Your owners been worried.
KELLIE
That's an impressively quick find Doc.
THE DOCTOR
I should start a detective agency you know.
KELLIE
Why don't you?
THE DOCTOR
Too violent.

The Doctor scoops Jack into his arms as he himself stands up cradling Jack & the food bowl all in one move.

THE DOCTOR
Last detective I met was way to trigger happy. Come on, beach is calling. We'll drop Jack off on the way...
KELLIE
What about the SOS?

The Doctor paused, cradling Jack. He stuck his index finger into the air and judged the wind temperature. Looking back & forth he gazed upon Kellie.

THE DOCTOR
The SOS hasn't repeated. Hopefully their ok now... I vote beach...
