CHAPTER 2: UNCOMFORTABLE LOVE AND UNLUCKY EVIDENCE

They both walked out and head to the Federal Building. Nathan and Johnny looked around the area, nothing. They ask the locals around the area, only one knew where he was last seen. He said "He was going to The Mystic Spring Oasis." It is uncomfortable for them both to go there, but if they have to find Otterton, then that's the place. Nathan actually hates going inside there but if that is part of the investigation, he has no other choice. It's either this or deal with Bogo to do parking duty

Nathan: This is not going well so far.

Johnny: Well... there is another person that knows Emmett Otterton. And she is in that building. We can find him.

Nathan: "Fine." they drove to the Mystic Spring Oasis. They parked their car in front of the building and got out of it. "Let's make this quick. I don't want to be in here."

They walked inside. No lights on except a few candles at the front desk. They approached the ox who is sitting at the desk, meditating.

Yax: "Ohmmmmm..."

Johnny: "Hey, excuse me."

Yax: "OHHMmmmmm!"

Johnny: "Hey!"

Yax: "Huh?" Moving the hair from his eyes, and flies were swarming around his hair. "I am going to hit the pause button right there. We don't have any deliveries for Wolverines right now."

Johnny: "Um, no. I am Johnny Korhonen and this is my colleague Nathan Pakenham and we are in Z.P.D; and we are looking for an otter named Emmett Otterton. He's an otter and we are in a really big hurry right now."

He hands him the photo of Emmett. He looks at the photo; he gasps as if he knows then sneezes without covering his mouth.

Yax: "Not been here in the past 2 weeks. Hey, you should talk to the Yoga Instructor. She knows everything. I can take you to her."

They realized that the employee is naked as he walked to the door. Nathan moved his head away from the Ox, same with Johnny but he opened the door and two officers saw everything. Big naked overweight bears rubbing their backs against the trees while their giant bellies jiggle; The other animals in the water naked, relaxing; Hippos playing ball in the water without wearing any swimming clothes, pigs in the mud rubbing their backs on each other, felines licking themselves. A giraffe bending down to drink the fountain, almost showing his rear, AND a tiger massaging a big brown bear, naked. Uncomfortable, feeling nervous and bashful, they lowered their faces, trying not to pay attention to everything around them. He took them to the Yoga Instructor, whom is an elephant as she lifts her legs up, showing her rear, followed by other animals that are doing yoga. Nathan and Johnny felt completely uncomfortable, they just want the information and get out of there quickly. As he questions where Emmett Otterton was, the yoga instructor refuses to say further more information about his disappearance. But Johnny spots a book near the shelf with the authors name on it. The picture matches the elephant in front of them. The duo knows who she is now because they read her books.

Nathan: "We know who you are. You're Nangi Tusks. Bestselling author of the 'Eternal Love' series. First of which is about to be made into a major motion picture…" Johnny picks up a book from a nearby shelf. "coming soon to a theater near you."

Nangi: Oh, you've heard of me. I'm flattered.

Johnny: Don't be. Your books suck.

He tosses the book aside. Her smile went away after that answer. Then she lifts her legs up, nearly exposing her rear with the other mammals who are doing the same.

Nangi: I'm sorry you feel that way.

Johnny: Doesn't really matter what I think. You've got millions of emo-goth sheep all over the world who eat up every last word of it, and keep coming back for more.

Nathan: I'm sure you've made quite a nice living off your supernatural bodice-rippers.

Nani: I'll have you know, I have gotten glowing reviews from every major periodical.

Nathan: Bought and paid for, I'm sure. Just like us.

Nangi: What is your problem, officers?

Nathan: Our problem? Our problem is you not telling where Emmett is. You make being a thug look… untrustworthy.

Nangi: Well… there's a lot more of history about Thugs.

Johnny: There is nothing untrustworthy about being a member of the mafia.

She was now getting angry at the officers.

Nangi: Well, perhaps I have made a serious mistake in letting my employees to let you guys come inside.

Nathan: If you let us in and expecting us to ask for your autograph, then yes, you did. But if you let us in and expecting us to find shitload of missing mammals… that we can do.

Nangi finally begins to tell them about Emmet Otterton. They began to write down the notes and further details about the missing mammal.

Johnny: "You happen to catch the license plate from that limo, did you?"

Yax: "Oh, for sure, It's 29THD03."

Nathan: DH03, thank you. Got it, let's go Johnny. Thank you so much.

They wrote down the last notes and closed their pads

Yax: I wish I had a mind of an elephant.

They got everything they needed for this. Now they can finally leave the Oasis. Just when they turned around, a feline approached them, catching their eyes. She slowly cat walks towards Johnny, swaying her hips left and right.

Female Panther: "Hey there, you look awfully handsome and strong, boys~ you both should come here sometime often and we can give something to "relax" from your hard work~ purrrr~"

She rubs her tail across Johnny's neck while she touches his arms, trying to seduce him to stay. The feline was purring out loud while grinding herself against him.

Johnny: Uhhhh

Nathan: Hey, we are in a middle of something. We are in a rush right now and we wouldn't be comfortable here. Good day, miss.

Female Panther: Okay, suit yourself ~ I will be here as always ~ feel free to stop by ~

Johnny: Thanks. Goodbye

They walked out of the club, and got back into the car and remain silent for a while without a word as they drive down the road. Johnny was about to say something but Nathan cuts him off.

Nathan: Don't even think about it.

Johnny: Come on, Nate. We should try that place sometimes.

Nathan: NO, Johnny. You want to go there because she likes you.

Johnny: Nah, I am not some felines scratching pillar.

Nathan chuckles: No wonder. Thankfully, we got the Limo License Plate, in Tundratown. Not far from here.

Johnny: "Well, my first day is going off to a great start."

Nathan: "Oh, it gets worse"

Johnny: "Thanks for the tip."

As night ascends onto Zootopia, they drove to the Limo Rental Industries in Tundratown after having hours of silence from the Mystic Spring Oasis. Johnny thinks about going there sometime often after their case together. Nathan, on the other hand, doesn't feel right going there. As they drove to the Limo Service, they noticed there was a lock on the gates.

Johnny: That's just perfect. It's closed

Nathan: Hmm... well, I can throw you over the fence and you can open the gate for me.

Johnny: Alright but let's not make too much noise.

It was pretty dangerous how they are going to get it open. But, it's a risk they are going to take. He takes a few steps back and runs towards Nate then he grabbed Johnny's foot and throws him over the fence and Johnny lands. He stands up and unlocks the gate then opens it for Nate.

Nathan: Good job. Now that's find that limo and look for Emmett.

They look around the limo's and found a license plate that matches. They opened the front door and the passenger side.

Nathan: "How ungrateful, Polar Bear leaving their fur." His picks up white fur and places it in the evidence bag. "Anything at your end, Johnny?"

Johnny: "Nothing but Fancy classical music." He opens the window to the back seat. He notices the back seat is vnot normal at all. "Hey, German Shepherd. I think we found our otter. If Mr Otterton was here, he had a very bad day."

They look at the backseat and saw scratches and bite marks all over the place. Nathan looks down and found the wallet with Otterton's ID.

Nathan: "Emmett was here alright. But what happened to him?"

Johnny picks up a fancy cup and it was labeled "B" on it, Johnny recognizes who that belongs to… this was a bad idea to come here at this time of hour. And worst of all, he was never supposed to be around here at all.

Johnny: Hang on... Did you find polar bear fur? Oh, fu…

Nathan: What? what is it?

Johnny: This car… belongs to someone we may not wanna mess around with…

Nathan: What are you talking about?

Johnny: Mr. Big's associate, Ivan Moskovitch. He's working under Big's.

Nathan: Big?

Johnny: You're a cop, you guys don't have intel on him? He's the biggest mafia boss in town, really dangerous. And like I said, not to be messed with.

Nathan: We're in a middle of a crime scene. If this "Mr Big" is after you then he'll have to answer that to me!

Johnny: Yeah, but if we gotta find evidence, we gotta do it quick, and quiet! I don't wanna get into troubles with Ivan again!

Johnny and Nate came out of the car and Two polar bears had them at gun point.

Johnny: Oh, god they're here!

Nathan: Dammit…

Johnny: We're screwed!

Nathan then sighed and placed his hands behind his head. The polar bears took the officers in the car and drove off. Nathan isn't pretty happy about the situation. Never thought a rookie would be caught in business with a Crime Boss.
