chapter 1First dayIt was all Lily could do all day to keep her mind of her begin in prison was to read. Just sit in her bunk and get a good book out and just get lost in her thoughts. She saw all the other inmates getting into trouble because they were bored or just wanted too. Lily never thought she would find anyone like her, the book nerd is what they called her and she never thought she would ever meet someone who would understand her love for books.She remembered it very well it was a Tuesday morning and that's when they it brought in the new prisoners. She remembered what first caught her eye this lady had flaming red hair and was thick but she also noticed the book nerd type of glasses on her face. She wouldn't say it was love at first sight but it was pretty damn close.Lily saw her the next day in her bunk and she had "The Shining" by Stephen King and she seemed to be halfway through it. She didn't know how to approach her she was beautiful in everyway and Lily wanted to get to know her because even tho they had not talked she felt a connection with her that she could not describe. She decided just to walk up to her and start a conversation and see how it went from there." Hey I see that your reading Stephen King he is one of my favorites." she said and after she had said it felt stupid."Yeah he is one of my favorites too." exclaimed Annie as we would find out. "My name is Annie Knowles, what is yours?""Lily, Lily Wilkes" Lily staggered."Well it's nice to meet you and meet a fellow book lover," she said starting to laugh.Soon Lily felt a hand on her shoulder and turned and saw one of her fellow cell mates Alex. "Hey can I talk to you?""Yah," I said confused "Well hey maybe we can talk books later.""Yah I would love that." Annie said blushing alittle.She goes back to her book as Alex and Lily step into the corner and converse."What the hell is your problem" Lily say with anger."What my problem is you talking to that women over there." Alex said with a sturn look on her face."What's wrong with talking to Annie" questioned Lily."What's wrong is she is a killer, she killer her girlfriend because she pissed her off. I am just trying to protect you Lily. I know she is a book nerd but she is dangerous." Alex said with concern and then walked away.Lily didn't know what to do she felt a connection with this women but knowing what she knew now she didn't know. She looked up to see Annie staring at her and when they made eye contact she smiled and Lily smiled back. Lily had no idea what she was going to do.
