Chapter nine

David pov

"So boys it looks like we stumbled across a bunch of witches".

"It would seem that way, David" Dwayne responded.

"Do they know about us then?" Marko asked.

"I'm not sure if they do".

There was only one way to find out and that was to play dumb, let them tell us everything they know and see if they let slip about knowing what we are. We'd have to go to Max tomorrow and let him know about this.

"So are you girls going to tell us what's going on or are you going to leave us guessing?".

"I guess they have the right to know, seeing as they did try and save us" Amy answered in a monotone voice.

"Umm Amy where are we going to stay tonight?" Grace whispered loud enough for Amy to hear not releasing we also heard what she said.

Their house was almost destroyed apart from a few beams that still stood there was no way they could salvage what had happened here. Which also meant they were sitting ducks and needed somewhere to stay.

"You can stay with us if you like" Inviting them into our home was dangerous but at least we'd be able to keep an eye on them.

"Thank you David, we'd like that alot" Amy answered.

"Girls go into the house and take what's ever left, we need to leave before the fire department shows up. There's no way this much smoke would have been unnoticed.", they all look towards their leader and nod.

They weren't in the house long before they had gathered everything they could that hadn't been destroyed and we were racing back towards the cave.

As we walked into the cave the girls stopped as they entered the communal area looking round trying to take in all the details of the cave.I could tell they had questions and I loved telling the story of this place.

"About 85 years ago this was one of the nicest hotels in California before it was destroyed in 1906. The ground opened up and then this place became ours", I told them as I sat in my wheelchair.

The rest of the boys began to take their seats, Marko took a spot on the sofa with Kita following him and taking a seat next to him. Paul went to the fountain and lit up a joint which caught Kat's attention as she too lit up a joint next to him. Dwayne leaned against one of the walls that was close to Laddies bed, the little boy didn't feel like going out today so him and Star just stayed at the cave. Grace stayed close to Amy who leaned on another wall in the cave, observing the situation.

"Kita tell them everything," Amy said to the young witch, making all our attention turn to her.

She let out a sigh and got comfortable on the sofa, leaning her head back into Marko's chest where he started to play with her brown locks. It was going to be a long night we could already tell, Kat jumped up and passed her the rest of the joint she had before lighting up another, knowing the young witch was going to need it.
