Ghost Girl's Invitation
Ema Bessho sits in an abandoned building, looking at information and recalling Playmaker using Storm Access
(Flashback)
"When I have 1000 or lower LP, I get one random Link Monster in the Date Storm!" Playmaker declares and he reached out his hand into the Date Storm.
(Flashback ends)
"Storm Access is a powerful move using the data material that creates the Date Storm. A normal duelist can't use this Skill" Ema notes. "Can Playmaker do this because he has a special connection with data material? Why does he have a connection?" She wonders as she takes a sip of coffee.
(Flashback)
"Ten years ago...Three things...You're one from that incident ten years ago?" Revolver wonders. "That's right. I'm that emissary of revenge!" Playmaker states. "Incident ten years ago?" Ghost Gal wonders. "Is it related to the incident ten years ago that they discussed?" Ema wonders as she remembers the Duel between Playmaker and Revolver.

"Since SOL Technologies created LINK VRAINS...I should find something by searching their data bank" Ema decides to see if she can find something in their data bank. She begins typing "A cyber treasure hunter like me can create a backdoor program to access that date bank" Ema notes. "Almost there...I'm close to accessing that data bank..." Ema thinks. A sphere of networks appears on her screen, and as her program does its work she moves deeper into the sphere. "Almost there…I'm close to accessing the data bank…" Ema thinks as sweet runs down her face. She reaches a more solid blue sphere "I did it!" Ema believes that she's done it, but then the sphere swells into a blue twister. "Data Storm?" Ema realizes. "Just when I'm close to accessing the data bank!" She laments. "If I don't get pass this…" She tries to break through, but the view on her computer changes to one in the eye of the Data Storm, and she panics and shuts down her computer. "No good. I couldn't access it" Ema lamenting her inability to access the data bank. "But I won't give up. As a cyber treasure hunter, Playmaker ignites my curiosity" She states.
At SOL Technologies, an employee walks into Zaizen's office with coffee for him "Ch-Chief Zaizen, here you go!" The employee nervously said. "Thank you" Zaizen thanks her, but her grip shakes as she tries to hand him the cup "Hot!" Zaizen exclaims, and the employee spills the coffee on the table. "I'm sorry!" She apologizing and wiping it up in a panic. "It's fine" Zaizen reassures her. "Hayami, how long have you been with the company?" He asks. "You want to know my private info? Are you attracted to me?" Hayami eagerly asks. "I want to know my worker's history-as your boss" Zaizen explains. "I'm sorry that I misunderstood!" Hayami apologizes for misunderstanding. "Umm…It'll be three years since I joined!" She states. "That means you don't know the location of the data of the incident ten years ago" Zaizen mused. "Correct. My duty is to mange equipment, not data" Hayami agrees. "All SOL Technologies data is stored in this room. It's right before my eyes, but I can't lay a finger on it" Zaizen notes. He gets up "Excuse me. I'm leaving" Zaizen states. "Let them know I'm going home" He asks Hayami. "U-Understood!" Hayami salutes and states. "Zaizen was demoted to Chief, but he's still cool!" She comments and blushes.
Under the bridge "SOL Technologies is heartless. Even though you protected LINK VRAINS, you were still demoted" Ema comments. "Playmaker gave me Revolver's removal program. That's how Aoi regained consciousness. Even though I was demoted, I have no regrets" Zaizen replies. "Your replacement is Kitamura, your former boss" Ema notes. "I believe he created a duelist army that used AI" Zaizen explains.
In SOL Technologies, Kitamura oversees his workers "What are you doing? Do you know how behind this project is?" Kitamura angrily ask. He grabs an employee's head "If you get any further behind, I'll cut your salary by 50%!" Kitamura warns the employee."We must protect LINK VRAINS from hackers! I'll created an AI duelist army and crush the hackers!" He declares.
"He'll do anything to deliver a result" Zaizen explains. "SOL Technologies is full of scoundrels. But you can say that about any fast-growing company" Ema lightly notes. "Anyway, do you know what Playmaker meant about the incident ten years ago?" She asks Zaizen. "Of course I don't" Zaizen retorts. "If I can't rely on you, I'll have to search on my own. By using a backdoor program to infiltrate SOL Technologies' data back" Ema admits. "What?" Zaizen shocked by her intentions. "Why do you think I take SOL Technologies' jobs?" Ema asks him. "The more connection I make, the more I can acquire" She states. "Will you give it to me?" Zaizen asks raising his hand. "Why do I have to give it to you? Or will you buy it at my asking price?" Ema asks. Zaizen grits his teeth in frustration and lowers his hand. "I have no interest in men with no power or money" Ema states. She walks away "What are you going to do?" Zaizen asks. "Maybe Playmaker will buy it. Because he's interested in the incident ten years ago" Ema suggests. Zaizen grits his teeth "See you" Ema bids him.
That night, Emma types at her laptop in her apartment "Someone guided me during Playmaker and Revolver's duel" She notes.

A hexagonal passage towards the Data Storm materializes before Ghost Gal. "Someone is guiding me?" She wonders.
(Flashback ends)
"I copied the source code, just in case" Ema notes. "If I use it to make a program…The person watching over Playmaker will notice" She thinks. She sends the email in satisfaction.
Meanwhile at the Motomiya's home, everyone was having dinner. "I made some friends the other day" Daisuke informs her family. "Really?! That great sweetheart! What's their name?" Mrs Motomiya asked. "The first one is called Yusaku Fujiki, and the other is called Shoichi Kusanagi" Daisuke states. "So, what are they like?" Jun asked. "Well...Yusaku is in the same class as me in school and Kusanagi runs a café" Daisuke explains. "Well, that's good that you made some new friends here, Daisuke" Mr Motomiya said. "Thanks Dad!" Daisuke said.
Later after dinner, Daisuke returns to her room "It's seemed that your family was happy that you told them about Yusaku and Kusanagi" Kiseki states. "Yeah, but I didn't tell them about how I meet them and about what we're doing" Daisuke states. "You've had no choice, if they find out; your family could be in danger" Kiseki reminds her. "I know..." Daisuke agrees. Then Daisuke's phone rang and she picked it up to reveal to be Kusanagi. "What's wrong?" Daisuke answers. "Could you come over?" Kusanagi asks. "Yeah, sure, on my way" Daisuke answers and hangs up. "What's up?" Kiseki asked. "Kusanagi wants us to get to Café Nagi" Daisuke states. "I wonder what's up?" Kiseki wonders. "One way to fine out...Let's go!" Daisuke said.
Yusaku and Daisuke enters Café Nagi in the park, which Kusanagi has closed for business. "Look at this" Kusanagi tells them, showing them an email from "Ghostgirl" with the subject "Hello Daddy-Long-Legs" and a jumble of code. "From Ghost Girl?" Yusaku asked. "She sent a message on a popular hacking forum" Kusanagi explains. "Er, I'm a bit confused, who is Ghost Girl?" Daisuke asks. "Someone we meet a while back" Ai explains. "You two know each other?" Yusaku ask Kusanagi. "No, but I guided her during your duel with Revolver. She acquired my source code to created a program that I'd notice" Kusanagi explains. "I see" Yusaku muses. "Revolver?" Daisuke wonders. "He's the leader of the Hanoi" Ai explains. "She's demanding to duel Playmaker. If she wins, she gets Playmaker's AI" Kusanagi explains. "What? You must be kidding!" Ai comments. He slide up to Yusaku "Playmaker, you won't do something that dangerous" Ai comments. "I accept" Yusaku accepts to Ai's shock. "It says what she's offering in exchange. The backdoor to SOL Technologies' data bank" He notes. "What? There's really a backdoor?" Ai surprised. "That's what is says" Kusanagi confirms. "It's a lie" Ai believes. "No. Her hacking skills are first class. She sent a portion of the data, and it looks real" Kusanagi notes. "But why would she challenge Yusaku to a duel?" Kiseki wonders. "What are you going to do?" Daisuke asks. "Reply to Ghost Girl that I'll duel her" Yusaku asks Kusanagi. "Okay" Kusanagi replies, much to Ai's dismay.
Ema lies on her couch, looking up at the moon "Where in the city are you, Playmaker?" She wonders. Her phone lights up, and she looks at it with a grin "He answered" Ema comments. She gets to her feet "Into the VRIANS!" Ema declares, raising her hand. A blue sphere of data surrounds her as she logs in.
Back in Café Nagi "She's here!" Kusanagi receives a notification that Ghost Girl had logged in. "Ghost Girl?" Yusaku asks. "Yeah. It's definitely her" Kusanagi confirms. Yusaku heads over to the truck's chamber "I'm coming too" Daisuke said as she follows him. "You're really going to duel her?" Ai asks as Yusaku and Daisuke puts on their Duel Disk. "She might have set a trap again" Kusanagi notes. "Yeah, I'm fully aware of that. However…#1: In her message, I sense Ghost Girl's determination, despite her weaknesses. #2: There must be secret information about Hanoi in SOL Technologies' data bank. #3: I'll learn the truth about the incident three years ago" Yusaku replies and the door to his chamber closes. "And don't forget, I'm coming along as well" Daisuke points outs and her chamber door closed. "Deck set! Into the VRAINS!" Yusaku and Daisuke declare and they both entered LINK VRAINS.
In LINK VRAINS, the city was still being repaired after Revolver's attack "Nothing's happening. Not a single person is here" Pigeon laments. "I know that! But is we don't get the exclusive scoop, we can't create the Playmaker TV special!" Frog snaps. "Yeah. Because the data you bought with our bonuses is gone!" Pigeon agrees. "If we don't fill in the gaps to create the Playmaker TV special, we'll be fired!" Frog panic. "I don't want that!" Pigeon screams. To their shock, a portal opens above them and Ghost Girl on her D-Board, surfing the Data Storm. "Yamamoto! That's…" Pigeon gasps, calling Frog by his real name by accident. "Don't say my real mane!" Frog orders him. "Don't worry. No one's here" Pigeon reassures him. "Anyway, look at that!" He points at Ghost Girl. "I smell an exclusive scoop!" Frog claims. "If we get this footage…" Pigeon notes. "We'll get our bonuses back!" Frog notes. Playmaker and Miracle Valkyrie emerges from the portal as well on their own D-Boards. "Look it's Playmaker! And Miracle Valkyrie is with him too!" Frog spots them. "Nice looking out, boss! Just as you expected!" Pigeon congratulates him. "Everyone will flip! After them!" Frog orders Pigeon. "Aye, aye, sir!" Pigeon responds, and grabs his boss and flies off. Ghost Girl spots Playmaker behind her "You're here. Good" She comments. Then Ghost Girl notices Miracle Valkyire behind Playmaker "Who's that?" She wonders. As they surf the Data Storm, Pigeon and Frog struggle to keep up "The wind is strong today!" Pigeon notes. "Fly better!" Frog tells him. Frog sees Playmaker, Miracle Valkyrie and Ghost Girl on top of a nearby building "Over there! Film it!" He orders Pigeon. "Sheesh! You don't treat pigeons nicely!" Pigeon yelps.
Kusanagi watches from within Café Nagi "You've accepted my challenge?" Ghost Girl asks Playmaker. "Yeah. But you're no lying about the exchange, right?" Playmaker replies and asks. "Of course not. I have the data ready" Ghost Girl replies. A golden card spin above her finger "It's the backdoor to SOL Technologies' data bank" Ghost Girl said. "It should have data about the incident ten years ago" She notes. "Why do you want to duel me? Why don't you go there yourself?" Playmaker asks. "If I acquire your AI, I can sell it to SOL Technologies at a high price" Ghost Girl comments, eying his Duel Disk. "To be honest, I became interested in you after seeing your recent" She admits. "Only as a cyber treasure hunter, of course. I want to know more about you" Ghost Girl clarifies. "Cyber treasure hunter?" Playmaker asks, then smiles. "She's definitely trying to trick us!" Ai gets works up, claiming. "Why don't humans learns from experience?" He laments. "Because humans can feel things instead of learning them" Playmaker lightly claims. "You're really going to do this…" Ai sighs, noting. "Well most humans are like that" Miracle Valkyrie comments. "Humans are really interesting species…" Kiseki states. "That's…" Ghost Girl notices Kiseki. "Before we start our duel, would you please introduce me to your friend their?" She asks. "My name is Miracle Valkyrie" Miracle Valkyrie introduce herself. "Miracle Valkyire huh…" Ghost Girl whispers. The Data Storm whips up beside them, and Playmaker, Miracle Valkyrie and Ghost Girl leaps onto it "Here we go!" Ghost Girl declares. "Speed Duel!" Playmaker and Ghost Girl declares. As they ride over the crest of a wave "Acquire the backdoor, Yusaku" Kusanagi tells him.
"I have no information about her, but she definitely studied you" Ai warns Playmaker. "Probably" Playmaker agrees. "You're clearly falling into her trap" Ai protests. "But it's worth it if I can acquire the data bank's backdoor program" Playmaker notes. "Come to think about it, this will be the first time we watched Playmaker's duel" Miracle Valkyrie states. "Yeah, now we can see Playmaker's abilities first hand" Kiseki comments. "I go first! I summon Altergeist Marionetter from my hand!" Ghost Girl declares (ATK: 1600). "When this card is summoned, I can select an Altergeist trap card in my deck and set it" She explains as she sets Altergeist Protocol. "Then I set another card. I end my turn" Ghost Girl states. "She has two set cards on her field" Ai notes. "What's her strategy?" He wonders. "Ghost Girl's abilities are unknown, we should keep an eye out" Kiseki points out. "Yeah…" Miracle Valkyrie agrees.
"My turn! I draw!" Playmaker declares. "I summon Cyberse Wizard!" He states (ATK: 1800). "Here I go!" Playmaker declares. "What? She has two set cards!" Ai protests. "If I was scared, I wouldn't have accepted this duel" Playmaker replies. Ghost Girl giggles "He's not worried about my set cards?" She observes. "He really interesting" Ghost Girl muses. "Playmaker isn't scared of anything, is he" Kiseki comments. "Yeah…" Miracle Valkyrie agrees. "Battle! Cyberse Wizard, attack Altergeist Marionetter! Illusion Spike!" Playmaker declares. "I activate Altergeist Kunquery's effect from my hand!" Ghost Girl declares. "I can Special Summon it and negate your attack!" She explains. Kunquery appears on the field and spreads its arms (DEF: 2400). "What?" Playmaker gasps. "I thought she wanted to use a trap, but she used an effect from her hand instead" Ai exclaims. Kunquery blocks the Illusion Spike with a ball of green energy, forcing Cyberse Wizard back. Ghost Girl giggles "When the Special Summoned Kunquery is on my field…I can negate one of your cards' effect" She explains. Cyberse Wizard glows with a ghostly aura "She already negated out attack and effects. And strengthened her defense" Ai cried as Playmaker avoids a virtual billboard. "She's cunning!" He calls her. "I end my turn" Playmaker said. "It seems that, she can utilise effect's from her hand as well as from her field" Kiseki observed. "Yeah, if we ever have to duel her, we must be careful about that" Miracle Valkyire points out.
"My turn! I draw!" Ghost Girl declares. "I'm only getting started!" She claims. "I summon a second Altergeist Marionetter!" Ghost Girl declares (ATK: 1600). "Due to Marionetter's effect, I select one Altergeist trap card in my deck and set it!" She states. This time she chooses Altergeist Camouflage. "Another set card" Playmaker muses. "Three monsters and three set cards. It's a solid formation" Ai observes. "If this shocks you, you have much to learn" Ghost Girl comments. "Here's my next plan!" She declares. "She's making her move!" Kusanagi gasps. "What is she up to?" Miracle Valkyrie wonders. "We'll soon find out" Kiseki states. "Open before me! The circuit that connects to the unknown parallel universe!" Ghost Girl chants. A Circuit opens beneath her "What? She can Link Summon?" AI shock. "Arrowheads confirmed! The summoning conditions are at least two Altergeist monsters! I set two Marionetters and Kunquery in the Link Marker!" Ghost Girl states. The monsters all transform into colored tornadoes based on their primary color. "Circuit combine!" Ghost Girl declares as they enter the appropriate Link Arrows. "Link Summon! Appear, Link 3 Altergeist Primebanshee!" She declares.
Primebanshee appears (ATK: 2100) "I activate the trap card, Altergeist Manifestation!" Ghost Girl declares. "I Special Summon Marionetter from my graveyard!" She explains (ATK: 1600). "I'm not done" Ghost Girl warns them. "I activate the Continuous Trap, Altergeist Protocol!" She declares. "Then due to Altergeist Marionetter's effect, I sent Altergeist Protocol to the graveyard" Ghost Girl explains. "Resurrect, Altergeist Marionetter!" She declares (ATK: 1600). "I tribute Marionetter to activate Primebanshee's effect!" Ghost Girl states. "Once during each of our turns, I can Special Summon an Altergeist from my deck next to its Link" She explains. "Appear! Altergeist Meluseek!" Ghost Girl declares (ATK: 500). "I set one card!" She states. "Oh my. After using three monsters to Link Summon, she already Special Summoned two more monsters!" Ai laments. "Her transition skills are amazing!" He calls her skill. Up above them, Pigeon films the Duel "Playmaker is taken aback!" He cries. "Yeah. She's playing really well" Frog agrees. "She not letting her guard down" Kusanagi notes. "Be careful, Yusaku" He warns him. "There must be a reason why she summoned a weak monster" Miracle Valkyrie states. "Yeah…but what?" Kiseki wonders.
"My preparations are done" Ghost Girl notes claps her hands. She looks at the crest of the next wave under the bridge "Even if Playmaker has a special connection with LINK VRAINS' data material…I'll have no problem of I drop his LP to 0 before he activates his Skill" Ghost Girl thinks. "I'll end you this turn!" She declares. "She has three Altergeists on her field. Even if she destroys Cyberse Wizard and attack us directly…the max damage we'll take is 2400" Ai notes. "Too bad! You can't drop our LP to 0! She miscalculated" He smirks. "No duelist would make a simple math error!" Playmaker warns him. "There could be!" Ai protests. "Ai really needs to learn that humans are unpredictable…" Miracle Valkyrie mutters. "Your right…" Kiseki agrees. "Why does everyone want this dumb AI?" Ghost Girl wonders. "How dare you!" Ai not happy. "Don't get angry when she's telling the truth" Playmaker tells him. "Okay…Wait, what?" Ai does a double-take. "Marionetter has higher ATK, but she tributed it for Meluseek. There must be a reason why" Playmaker reminds Ai. "Good instincts, Playmaker" Ghost Girl agrees and congratulates Playmaker's instincts. "This can attack you directly, even if you have monsters" She explains. "That still won't drop our LP to 0!" Ai snaps. "Altergeist Meluseek attacks you directly! Ectoplaster!" Ghost Girl declares (Playmaker's LP: 3500). "That was only 500 damage!" Ai snaps. "Meluseek's additional effect!" Ghost Girl declares. "When it deals you battle damage, one card on your field goes to the graveyard!" She explains. "Bye bye Cyberse Wizard!" Ghost Girl bids. "After a direct, attack, you're sending a monster to the graveyard?" Ai shock, and Cyberse Wizard vanishes "This was why she brought out Meluseek" Kusanagi muses. "That's Meluseek's abilities, huh?" Miracle Valkyrie observes. "Yeah, and it's quite frightened" Kiseki adds. "The remaining monsters have a total of 3700 ATK" Ai gasps. "This is bad, Playmaker! You're already in a pinch!" He cries. "As I promised, I'll end you this turn!" Ghost Girl reminds them. "Battle! Altergeist Marrionetter attacks Playmaker directly!" She orders. Marrionetter blasted Playmaker, and he gave out a scream as he was hit, and then grunts (Playmaker's LP: 1900). "Playmaker will finally lose a duel!" Pigeon gasps. "Now we won't be fired, Yamamoto!" He calls Frog by his real name again, crying. "We've been pursing Playmaker ever since he arrived in LINK VRAINS as a hero. But should I be happily filming Playmaker's defeat?" Frog muses. "Ghost Girl, your plan will drop Playmaker's LP to 0" Ghost Girl's AI tells her. "It feel great to defeat the popular Playmaker" Ghost Girl admits. "I'll acquire and sell that AI to SOL Technologies at a high price" She warned him. "My dream gets larger!" Ghost Girl giggles. "It's over. Prepare yourself!" She tells Playmaker. "Don't lose, Playmaker! My fate is at stake!" Ai begs him, and Playmaker looks up in determination.
