Space Jail Or: Skywalker-Kenobi Scrape No. 375
Everything had gone smoothly. They had retrieved the plans for Project Stardust from Scarif's high-security data vault and received liftoff clearance. Then fumes started wafting in from the main cabin. Unfortunately, the clones were on another ship and couldn't assist with repairs.
"Anakin! Fly the ship!" Obi-Wan called sharply through the haze filling the main cabin.
The choking substance appeared to be coming from a fuel-cell cooler that had spontaneously combusted.
"Okay, okay, hang on. I think I've almost got it," Anakin grumbled and then swore a blue streak when a piece of molten metal disintegrated his tool.
Obi-Wan appeared next to him and grabbed his arm. "Anakin, now!"
Suddenly, a voice hailed them from the comm. "Unidentified ship, this is the Imperial Star Destroyer Persecutor. Halt flight path and remain where you are. This is restricted airspace. Do you copy?"
When neither Jedi moved to answer the comms, the voice spoke again, obviously annoyed. "Unidentified ship, this is your last warning before you are tractored in."
Not a second later, a jolt rattled the ship and a tractor beam locked onto them.
Obi-Wan dashed for the cockpit to try everything he could think of to shake the beam off.
Sinking to his knees next to the console, Anakin ripped a small access port cover of the wall and began fiddling with the wires, trying to engage their reverse thrusters. Nothing worked.
"I have a bad feeling about this," Obi-Wan said, shaking his head.
Obi-Wan stumbled as he was roughly shoved into the holding cell with Anakin.
"This is entirely your fault," he stated.
"I never, ever want to hear you say that again," Anakin muttered under his breath.
Obi-Wan sighed moodily and plopped down on the bench attached to the wall.
"I can't believe I'm sitting in a holding cell with you again," Obi-Wan harrumphed. "Next time you decide to get captured, leave me out of it."
"Sure thing, Master, there's just one miniscule problem," Anakin snarked.
"What's that?" Obi-Wan was genuinely puzzled.
"My reputation as the reckless one on this team."
