Chapter 29 - It's Okay Dear
'Ms. Granger, did you hear me?' The midwife said as she looked at Hermione whom was laid n the Hospital bed in only her underwear as the midwife scanned Hermione's still flat stomach.
'Sorry.' Hermione said as she turned to look at the Midwife.
'It's okay dear.' She said warmly. 'I said that everything is fine.'
'Are you sure?' Hermione said as she felt Severus squeeze her hand.
'Very sure.' She replied. 'Look.' She said as she turned the screen to show Hermione. 'Baby's heartbeat.'
'Thank Merlin.' Severus muttered as he started at the screen.
'Why am I bleeding?' Hermione asked the Midwife.
'Some women do.' She replied. 'For the next couple of days it's probably best to rest but baby is very protected in there.'
'Oh she will.' Severus said as he looked at Hermione.
'Can I travel? I'm currently living in New York and will be returning in the New Year.' Hermione asked.
'As long as you have no more bleeding then you will be fine. If you do, book in to see us here. Where will you be having the baby?' The Midwife asked.
'Here' Hermione replied. 'I finish my studies in May and will then move back here, well Hogwarts.'
'Well best you book in to our Midwife Clinic as soon as you're back so we can monitor you and baby Gra…'
'Snape.' Hermione said smiling at Severus.
'Can I get you anything?' Severus asked as he helped Hermione lower herself into the Super king sized bed.
'No I'm fine.' She replied smiling at him. 'You should get back to the wedding, Draco would want you there.'
'Hermione, I'm not going anywhere.' He replied as he sat on the edge of the bed. 'I'm staying here with you.'
'You don't have to. I'm fine, the baby's fine.' Hermione replied smiling.
'I'd rather stay here.' He replied. 'Draco will understand.'
'If you're sure.' She replied as he leant forward to capture her lips.
