Okay, this is gonna get complicated, but welcome to something else while I write up the actual fight with Yang. Could've been in its own separate story but I really need something to get me back into writing and this will do. Plus, I'm kinda stuck and I've been planning to do this for a while. Now, this is not filler. This is a character who will play an important role in future chapters. This character's entire backstory will be in three parts. Whenever or not I actually space those parts out is another matter entirely. Either way, this is a character that will probably break canon or something. And this thing will probably piss off people wanting to read what actually happens. Well, I'm kinda stuck and I need to do something.

There will be OCs in the future so watch out for them.

Anyway, that's it for the reviews! Let this angel spread its wings!

Chapter 23: No More Heroes

I woke up with a gasp, blinded by unending light.

Where was I? Did something happen? Am I dreaming…?

"Well… that's never happened before…" A voice? Someone was with me? Did I end up in the hospital or something? Everything just seems… blurry. My vision… my head… I can barely see or feel, as if I was out of my body.

I felt confused, lost. I… It was difficult for me to recall how to speak, to form words. It took so much effort to remember what should've been ingrained in my brain for my entire life. I felt… so weak…

"Where… Where… Ugh…" I tried to say something but… something felt wrong about me. I didn't know what I was feeling but… whatever I was feeling just didn't feel natural. Am I lying down, or am I standing up? Someone tell me what's happening to me!

"Ah, it seems the process has been successful." The voice… I think it was feminine, said. She was talking to himself while I was trying to get my bearings straight. I think I was standing still, but at the same time I felt like was stumbling around, probably wrecking the room I was in. Disoriented, confused, just feeling wrong. "Miss, stay still and calm yourself. You are safe."

Safe? Where? And… hold on, I'm a girl? Oh God, I can barely tell who I am because of… whatever happened to me. Did I get hit by a… heavy thing? What was it, that thing on about… a number of wheels carrying… stuff.

I felt a pair of hands hold me still, keeping me in place. The room I was in was sort of recognizable as a room to me now, and I could… vaguely see a pair of eyes. Okay, I'm getting myself together but my thoughts were still frayed, fractured and… something else that starts with F.

At least I'm starting to remember language again. Sounds that I can interoperate as communication between individuals. Come on, keep thinking and your brain will reorder itself in no time. Just keep asking simple questions and you'll get through this.

"Where am I…?" I asked, questions and answers being my only grip on reality right now.

"A safe place to rest and recuperate." That sounds like what a hospital should be, at least I think it is, but why aren't you saying that I'm in a hospital? I feel a little sick… "Please, this is new to me too so please refrain from hurting yourself."

"Am I hurt? What's going on?" I asked my only source of information.

"You were and… look, you need to stay calm and gather yourself." She ordered me. I couldn't really argue, I felt too weak to, so I just breathe in and out for a minute or two as everything started to come into focus.

I was… in a room. A bedroom, but wow, it wasn't a bedroom I've ever seen. Or remember. Bright white ceilings over my head that could reach the sky and on the ground… I was standing on clouds. Panic went through me, think I could fall at any second, but the cloud felt solid enough that it was stone.

"Where exactly am I?" I questioned as I looked around, taking in my surroundings.

"You, Miss, are in Heaven." The woman that I can now clearly see told me. "Specifically, you are in Zebel; Sixth Heaven. You're currently in my quarters."

"Heaven…?" I repeated as I processed this information my head, sitting on presumably her bed. "That… sounds a little familiar but…"

"Of course. Are you having trouble recalling your memories?" The woman, this beautiful blonde woman that I would love to fall in love with, asked me with concern in her voice.

"Y-Yes… A little… Did something happen to me?" I replied, not quite sure why this Heaven was so surreal.

"…Yes, something has happened to you." The woman told me. "But first, we must introduce ourselves. I am Gabriel."

"Hello, Gabriel. My name is…" I started before trailing off. "My… M-My name is… is…"

"Please, don't strain yourself. You're still recovering from the process." Gabriel told me as she sat next to me. "Your memories have been sealed away for your own safety and wellbeing."

"You sealed away my memories!?" I exclaimed, feeling angry and confused. My wellbeing? What gives you the right to take away something I should have? I'm having a freak out here!

"Please, stay calm, allow me to explain myself." Gabriel told me as I regained my composure. "I will keep your memories safe, but please understand it's important that you do not remember or else you will become catatonic again."

"C-Catatonic?" I repeated in surprise. "What happened to me!?"

"You arrived here in a catatonic state, which happens here every once in a while in Heaven." Gabriel explained. She then swallowed nervously and held my hand. "After all… some souls aren't ready to die."

"Okay, but what happened to me?" I asked for more information. Why is she skirting around the answers I seek?

"What I am trying to explain to you is that… You have died and gone to Heaven. Your soul arrived here in a catatonic state, so we had to remove your memories." Gabriel finally explained to me, and those words hit my heart… no, pierced my soul like an arrow.

"I… I d-d-died…?" I managed to get out after a few minutes, just to let it sink in that I wasn't dreaming. Even though I've forgotten a lot of things, dying was a concept I couldn't forget. I started to hyperventilate, this wasn't happening. No! This wasn't happening!

She took away my memories and I don't even know who I am anymore!? What kind of… uh… b-b-bubbles? Okay, I swear there was a word I could say now that would express my anger in some way.

"It's okay, Miss. Let it all out." Gabriel said as pulled me closer, her very presence comforting me.

But… I didn't want to cry. It just… I didn't know what to feel about this other than disbelief and curiousity.

"How… How did I die?" I asked morbidly. I didn't think in my entire life that I would ask that question, though I'm sure everyone before and after me would agree with that sentiment.

"Your death was part of the memories we had to remove from you. You will receive them once I feel you are ready." She whispered in my ear.

"…Thank you." I said as I pulled her closer, surprising her. "Whatever they were… I think I'm they're gone." I honestly admitted.

"I didn't do it. The angels on the lower levels did that." Gabriel explained to me. "However… removing your memories were not enough. So they sent you to me to fully heal your soul."

"But you mentioned a process earlier." I pointed out. "You did something to me, er, my soul."

"Yes, but not on purpose." She replied. "You see… Normally, Seraphs like me usually have other duties, and they do not including guiding souls to a peaceful rest. However they found something special about your soul and well… you reacted to my power and have left you in a different state."

"So… what?" I dumbly got out, not quite getting it. Gabriel couldn't help but giggle at me before explaining.

"You see, your soul was fully human. However, there was a dormant part of your soul so I aimed to awaken it. But, I didn't expect that part of your soul to be angelic so… I accidently transformed you into an Angel." The... Seraph sheepishly admitted.

"…Excuse me?" I got out in disbelief. "I'm an Angel now?"

"Yes, and believe it or not you are the first new Angel in quite a while." Gabriel replied with a sigh. "You still have the human part of your soul, so you are not a Pure Angel but rather a Reincarnated Angel."

"This… This is a lot to take in, you know." I said as I laid my back on the bed. "Can I… Can I be left alone for a while?"

"Of course, take all the time you need. I'll return in a few hours so do not hesitate to make yourself comfortable." Gabriel said as she stood up and walked to the door. "Once you're ready, we will begin."

Before I could even ask what she meant, she left me. God, I would love to feel her…

Her…

Her…

I can't even remember the name of the body I'm attracted to! I think I remember other stuff but not her… thingy? Ugh, I hate not having all my memories! It sounds sssooo… dumb.

At least that word is intact. Thank you whoever ripped the precious memories out of my cold dead body!

…Oh, right. I'm dea-No, wait. Am I alive again since Gabriel told me that I'm an Angel now?

Well, since I have some time to kill, I may as well name myself.

So my name will… be…

I did not think this through.

You know what, let's just go with Angel. That's easy to remember.

Angel the Angel! Next Greatest Angel in Heaven!

…Nope. Nope, nope, nope. That sounds lame and now I am talking to myself in an empty room.

Maybe I'm better off without my memories.

So, after waiting with only myself to keep me entertained for what felt like a century (which probably is, I have no idea what time means in Heaven), Gabriel came back and told me to come with her. "Um, Gabriel, er… is something… I mean, I'm sorry, my brain is still kind of a mess." I sighed out.

"It's fine. I'm sure you are curious about what I meant about what I said earlier." Gabriel said. God, I missed her voice! "I'm sorry for being vague but I just needed… confirmation."

"Confirmation for what?" I asked, half-listening as I looked around this breathtaking world I was in.

"…Miss, I am going to offer you a choice: Would you like join the ranks of our Angels and work for God or stay here and rest in Heaven?" Gabriel offered me. "In exchange for working for us… we will provide you a mortal body and allow you to continue life among the living."

…What? Work… for God?

"Now, your situation is… rather odd, but rest assured that whatever you choose will not be judged." Gabriel told me, which snapped me out of my thoughts. "You do not have to decide now. I am willing to wait-"

"If I work for God, will I become strong enough to get back my memories?" I assumed. I didn't care what my job would be as an Angel, I… want to see who I was before I died. I at least deserved that. "Then… I'll give my next to Him."

"…Very well." Gabriel replied with a nod. "Now, here is some information you should know before we send you down to your new body. The body we have given is, rather unfortunately, a 13 year old girl. Her soul has already left the world and is here now and wishes to stay, but her body remains alive."

That's… rather sad. But I hope this girl will enjoy Heaven while I…

"Hold on, there's something wrong here." I spoke up with a concerned tone. "I… I'll essentially be taking over her life. Give me her name and what happened."

"Her name is Nanako Bara. Last week, she was shot in the head by a criminal, who should be in Hell now. I cannot reveal any more information than that. She has already granted permission to use her body." Gabriel then stopped as she shook her head. "It's rather tragic. Such a pure heart gone from that world too soon…" Gabriel answered with a sigh. Nanako Bara…

I'm not going to call myself that out of respect and it would just feel wrong.

I don't wNanako be someone else. I just want to be me.

Whoever that is.

"Do you still wish to join the ranks of our Angels?" Gabe (I'm gonna call her Gabe from now on) snapped me out of my thoughts again.

"…I already said I'll do it, didn't I?" I reminded as I drew upon the last few hours of information and thinking. "I am already an Angel after all and you said that I'm the first new Angel in a while. So I'm gonna do what I have to do."

"Hm. Even without them, you still have that positive spirit you had in life." Gabe muttered to herself and causing me to smile. "We will contact you for your training once you have gotten used to life once again."

"Sure. And thanks for everything." I thanked the beautiful woman. "I won't let you or God down."

"I'm sure you won't. We'll see you soon." Gabe said with a smile as light started to edge into my vision while I felt something pulling me away.

I was being revived.

I promise... I won't waste this new life I have.

I will become stronger to regain what I lost... even if I have to become a God to do so.

And the everything went black as I heard the faint sounds of a heartbeat monitor.

(Some time later...)

Day 62 as Nanako Bara.

A full two months since I was revived and given this new life.

When I woke up, Nanako's sister was the first one to see me since she was there sitting next to the hospital bed. I didn't feel well, and I kinda wished I stayed in Heaven as soon as the killer headache hit me but overall it felt... nice.

Of course, thanks to bullet and where it hit and stuff I was able to convince everyone that met me that I couldn't recognise them. A few friends of Nanako visited me and promised they'll make me remember and such.

Sadly, their friend was gone. But I gave them hope.

After I left the hospital two weeks later, we moved out of the country. The shreds of the United States of America I saw were nice but Nanako's mother told me that it wasn't safe for me there.

Maybe because of all the alien invasions, blue beams in the sky and weird people in skin-tight suits there. I read a lot of comic books on the plane based on these guys, along with fictional ones like Destroyman or The Cake Knight.

Apparently, our true home was in the United Kingdom or Japan.

We chose the English speaking one.

Nanako didn't have a dad. It was only me, Nanako's sister (17 years old) and mother.

But... they were kind, they were happy that Nanako was alive. They only had each other after all and if they would've devastated if they knew.

So... I went along with it.

It was also Nanako's birthday when we officially moved in so now I'm a 14 year old British-Japanese girl with the mind of someone who is (I assume) way older and a soul of an Angel.

That's everything I managed to gather while I lived my life.

I wasn't allowed to go to school just yet, my mum thinking that I'm still healing. In actuality, I was fully healed. The bandage wrapped around my forehead wasn't even hiding a scar.

Thank you, God, for a really awesome healing factor.

Speaking of which, life on Earth as an Angel (or part-Angel to be more accurate) was a learning experience. I felt good in the day, full of energy and wanting to run instead of riding in a car. However, at night I felt weaker, wanting turn in early.

I had a lot of time on my hands so I started learning stuff Nanako did in life. Her mum told me that she used to sew so I spent some time doing that. Turns out I was kinda a natural at it, at best I can hide repaired holes but I with enough practice I can probably make my own clothes.

All the while praying at night giving my thanks to everyone that allowed me this chance and hoping Gabe would contact me to begin my training as an Angel soon. Overall, it wasn't exactly the mostly first two months of this new life.

"Sis, your food's getting cold." Nanako's sister, Makoto, told me. She was always worried about me since Nanako got shot. "Please, eat your lunch."

"Sorry. Just lost in my head." I replied as I ate my rice and steak. Could never use chopsticks so I stuck with the tried and true spoon and fork.

"You're always lost in your head, huh sis?" Makoto muttered out, which was the truth. I was always thinking to keep myself together, my mind still cloudy even when I was healed completely. I guess when they removed the memories of my previous life they did a rough job with it.

"Sorry about that." I apologized.

"Nah, it's okay." Makoto said off-handily. "Mum's not coming home tonight. Said that she wants to work overtime. Your medical bills really ate into our savings."

"Are you trying to guilt me?" I softly winced. The two story house, the paperwork to move, all that fun stuff must've really hit us hard. Especially for a single mother.

"No! Not at all, just... I'm glad you're okay." Nanako's sister lamented as she leaned back on her chair. "When I saw you get... I thought... I thought..." She started to sob out.

"Makoto, I'm fine. Don't worry about me." I comforted. "If else, I just don't want to be cooped up in the house anymore. I wanna go out and do stuff."

"...Really? After what happened to you?" Makoto asked in disbelief.

"It's better than doing nothing all day but read and sew!" I complained as I threw my utensils onto my plate. "I'm sssooo bored!"

"...Okay. Let's go out tonight. Good timing too." Makoto said with a sigh. I just looked confusingly at her.

"For dinner." I asked.

"You could... say that." Nanako's sister answered. "I'll show you the new stuff before we go out. Don't worry sis, maybe a taste of home will jog your memory."

"New stuff?" I got out.

I have a sinking feeling this won't be for food.

(Some time later...)

This was definitely not for food.

"U-Uh... Makoto, big sis... what are we doing?" I asked nervously as looked at the docks from across the street, standing onto top of an abandoned factory.

"Doing God's work." Makoto muttered as she looked through her binoculars. "Been tracking this special event for a while and the police have no idea. I'm just scouting the place out right now."

"T-This is doing God's work!?" I exclaimed.

I couldn't believe it. I really should've figured it out sooner.

I can't believe what was happening but right now we were... in costumes.

Like superheroes.

I wore black boots, cargo pants, an oversized turtle neck and motorcycle gloves. It was all taped down together with silver duct tape so I wouldn't show any skin. Over it I wore a pure white open hoodie, not putting my arms through the sleeves and keeping it attached with a few baby pins on the back of my neck, with the hood up and over my helmet.

Oh right, my helmet.

It was essentially made of steel, a few centimetres thick with padding on the inside. The helmet on the outside was a glossy black with two white circles for eyes, which were made out of one-way glass. It was a little heavy to wear and I was worried about the lack of visible air holes, but with the combination of everything no one could tell who I am as long as I didn't talk.

Makoto wore the same outfit, except with inverted colours, wearing a white long sleeve shirt with a large black shattered star on the front and the silver duct tape being exchanged for gold. For now, she had her helmet off to use her binoculars.

"I want to go home." I deadpanned.

"Can't. We've already been paid." Makoto stated. Hold on, paid!? "We can't back out of this, plus we're helping people. That's why we do this."

"...Do what?" I hesitantly questioned, although I had a good feeling that I knew what we're about to do.

"Do our jobs." Makoto replied as she dropped the binoculars. "They're ready to receive the shipment. Hopefully, you can still use /Shion."

"Slash Shion?" I asked as I glanced down at the silver tube strapped to my thigh. I had no idea what this /Shion is or how it worked... or even if I could fight.

Oh, I'm gonna die! But way too scared to run! Plus... I'm sure Nanako wants me to protect her sister.

God damn it! What am I doing!?

"Let's go and keep quiet." Makoto said as she jumped down from the rooftop we were on. I stayed there for a moment before following suit. We ran across the street and hid in the shadows. "How's the helmet going for you? Is it too heavy?" She whispered to me, her voice muffled by her helmet. I just shook my head in response. "Good. I don't want anything to happen to you like last time."

What do you mean by that!?

"Ready for your first fight in a while?" Makoto asked me as she pulled out gold tube like mine. I just nodded dumbly as I did the same. I hope to God I get out of this alive. "Okay. We've seven guys and their boss on the docks, and another seven guys and their boss. Sixteen targets in total. Both run international criminal empires and are coming to meet up for an alliance or some shit, in exchange for rare drugs and money. However, our client is someone from one of these organizations and wishes them dead."

Language. And what!?

"Why didn't you tell me this before?" I scolded as I tried to figure out how this stupid tube is supposed to be my weapon.

"Wanted it to be a surprise. I know you loved these types of jobs." Makoto replied. I swear I could see the smirk under her helmet as we saw the two bosses of differing criminal empires approach each other. "Alright, remember our policy: No innocents, no survivors. Now let's slaughter these fuckheads."

Language!

Wait, did she just say slaughter?

Without a word, Makoto activated her weapon. Suddenly, a curved blade made out of golden light shot out of the tube before she rolled out of the shadows, rushed up to the closest guy we could see...

And sliced him in half like it was nothing.

"MY SPLEEN!" The unfortunate man screamed out as he cut down.

What the... Just what did I get myself into!?

"I knew this was a trap!" One of the bosses, let's call him Mr. Moustache because of his curly moustache, growled as he pull a pistol and tried to shoot uh... Mr. Booze (He had a flask), who ducked out of the way and shot one of his henchmen instead. "Alright boys! Kill the bastards!"

"No you fucking idiot! Argh!" Mr. Booze shouted out in frustration. "Fuckin' A! Men, kill 'em all!"

Makoto barely paid attention as she sliced through one of Mr. Booze's men.

Looking around as I saw two gangs kill each other and Makoto killing them all, I saw one of Mr. Booze's men aim his at her back.

Oh, this was not good.

I ran out of the shadows and tackled him down, grabbing the gun and tossing away before he shoved me off him. "Ngh! So you're with that white guy, aren't ya." The goon noted as he pulled out a katana. Where the hell did he get that from?! "Well, I'll enjoy killing you."

I stopped myself from squeaking in fear as I rolled to his side and performed a roundhouse kick to his legs, sweeping him off the ground before punching his face.

...That was way too natural to be comfortable with.

I snapped out of my musings as I used the inactive /Shion to block a strike from behind me, kicking him away before using the tube to whack the recovered bad guy in the head.

Way too natural.

As I tried to figure out how to turn on my weapon, Makoto was slaying people left and right, blood spraying everywhere as Mr. Booze and Mr. Moustache called in reinforcements.

So now there were thirty dudes we need to take care of.

To kill.

Oh God, save me!

I managed to stop myself from grunting in pain as I was kicked in my back and forced to the ground. I quickly rolled out of the way of what surely was a stab to my heart as stumbled back up. I looked at /Shion and shook it up and down.

Come on! Work! I need something other than my fists! I'm gonna die again!

Then, as if either God or my weapon heard my prayers, it activated. A... thing extended out of the tube, getting ready to be activated. I must've pressed a button or something but suddenly, a white beam came out of the tube.

What the heck!?

Suddenly, something clicked in my brain. The blade is made by a tight loop of highly focused energy which runs from an emitter in the handle, along with an extractable frame, and into the receiver, appearing as a coloured bar, with mine being white.

Essentially, I have a sword made out of energy.

...I don't how I figured that out, but I couldn't care less.

"Shit! That's a Beam Katana!" I heard one of the goons shout out... in fear.

"Both of them have one you idiot!" Mr, Moustache growled out. "They're here to kill us all! Get them!"

Oh no.

"DIE YOU LITTLE SHIT!" I heard the guy I tackled roar out as he charged at me, forgoing his sword.

My body moved before my brain reacted.

I stabbed /Shion through his stomach, splattering blood onto my costume, pulled it out before slicing his head off. I barely had time to think about my first kill as I stabbed another behind me, left /Shion in his chest as grabbed his arm and flipped him over my shoulder with ease, pulling my weapon out to slice him in half to finish him off.

It was... a blur after that.

I... I just kept killing. Slicing heads, amputating limbs, cutting my enemies into pieces. Every corpse they threw at me or Makoto was put down.

Mr. Booze and Mr. Moustache threw tougher guys at us, forgetting about trying to kill each other and try and kill us. Big lugs, preferring to use their fists rather than weapons. I finished them in one blow.

Guys with SMGs came our way and fired at us, but Makoto and I blocked each and every bullet fired at us and bisected them in unison.

We kept killing and killing until... it was only the bosses left.

"You... You killed my entire army!" Mr. Moustache shouted out at us. But our blank helmets and our silent response only made him madder. "You think there won't be consequences to this!? If I die, my men will hunt you down until the day you die!"

Makoto only looked at me. I had a feeling that she knew that it wouldn't matter or didn't care.

Because in the middle of his rant, Makoto sliced him from the crotch to his head.

Makoto tilted her head, signalling me to finish off Mr. Booze.

I silently agreed, adrenaline still rushing through my body as I walked up to this scum of a human being. He looked angry, defiant, not willing to die without a fight.

I wouldn't let him.

I aimed my Beam Katana at his face, ready to finish the job.

"...You think you're noble, aren't you? Playing with toys and thinking you're hot shit, isn't that right?" Mr. Booze spat out. "Well, little children, I'll show you what happens when you play with the big boys."

He then disappeared.

That wasn't good.

He reappeared in front of Makoto, punching her straight in the face. She recovered quickly, though, a guarded against the attacks from behind, from her side before diving out of the way of an overhead strike.

"Well, huh!? Think you can stop me those toys, Angels of Death!" Mr. Booze taunted as I helped Makoto up.

Angels... of Death...?

I could see Makoto flinch at the name.

"Yeah... I know who you two are. Rank 13 and 14." Mr. Booze said as we silently watched him. Ranks? What is he talking about? "Didn't think you'd be operating outside of that hellhole."

Makoto growled. She must have really loved home... but loved Nanako and her safety more.

But not enough to stop doing this.

Seriously, I wanna know what was happening but now I'm way too scared to know.

"Nothing to say, huh? Of course." Mr. Booze said as he took a swig of his flask.

Makoto tapped my shoulder before tapping in the side of her helmet, on her left ear.

I quickly got what she was meaning and I tapped the button where my left ear should be.

Suddenly, something appeared in front of my eyes.

[Now Playing... It's kill or be killed - Taku Yoshioka]

...Battle music?

Really?

"Nanako, it's kill or be killed!"

GO!

Oh.

Without hesitation, we rushed towards him.

He teleported out of the way of our attacks and to the side as rolled out of the way of a charge that would've taken both of us out. Seeing that he was vulnerable, Makoto went for it and tried to slash him to pieces.

However, he knew this and rolled away at the last second, chuckling as Makoto almost fell off the docks before-

MAKOTO!

It was too late as two energy blades extended out of Mr. Booze's wrists and slashed Makoto's spine. She almost screamed as she stumbled around in pain before collapsing onto the floor. I jumped in that moment, and tried to slice his head off, but he blocked it before pushing me away.

I couldn't think of anything so I just ran at him and wildly attacked him, but he kept blocking every swing without a sweat. I was losing myself to my emotions, this fire in my heart roaring to stop him.

I kept attacking and attacking and attacking...

And then my Beam Katana shut off.

Before I could react to my sword running out of batteries...

He stabbed me in the stomach and my chest.

That... wasn't good...

"NO!" Makoto cried out as he slipped me... off his wrist blades...

My senses... were fading...

Am I... dying again?

"B-Bastard!" I heard Makoto growl out before I hear her choking. He lifted her off the ground by her neck, ready to end her life.

"Say goodbye!" Mr. Booze shouted out.

He was going to kill Makoto.

Kill Nanako's sister.

Kill...

Kill...

Not again...!

Please... I can't die...!

[Now Playing... Sub Crazy - MARU, HONDALADY]

Something in me... just snapped.

My beam katana ignited as my pain started to fade away.

I felt... felt... good.

I felt really good.

This feeling...

This pleasurable feeling...!

Oh, I'm in ecstasy!

At speeds I didn't even know I could reach, I attacked.

I sliced him. Diced him. Cut his testicles. Cut his throat. Severed the arm holding Makoto. Sliced his penis. Slashed his back. Stabbed him in the eye. Stabbed him in the other eye. Sliced his jaw off. Stuffed his jaw into his eye hole. Decapitated him. Amputated his limbs.

"N-Nanako..." I heard Makoto get out in awe of this feat.

"You're! A! PAIN!" I shouted out as twirled /Shion around...

SLASH!

And made Mr. Booze fall to pieces.

And then I snapped back into reality.

"Wh-What was..." I muttered to myself as I looked myself and Makoto. Our once clean costumes were soaked in blood, and mine had two holes in it where Mr. Booze stabbed me.

"Are... Are you alright, Nanako?" Makoto asked as she got up and checked my injured. I noticed the large gash along her back. I should be asking that question.

"I'm... I'm fine..." I breathed out as we looked at our... slaughter.

There was heads and limbs littering the area, blood staining it and the ocean around the dock. It looked like something from a horror movie.

"Oh, I miss home... Good work, though you could use a little refresher." Makoto chuckled out as I just stayed silent.

They were bad guys and I did good but I... I...

What kind of world did I end up in?

I looked it up as soon as we snuck back into the house.

I searched the various documents stored away in the filing cabinet, which should've been forgotten a long time ago if I hadn't searched for it.

My home town was Santa Destroy and Nanako had a job. The number one most popular occupation there.

Makoto is an assassin... Nanako was an assassin... and from now on...

I guess I'm an assassin too.

But those thoughts... that was over a decade ago.

Because these days, I'm what you'd call...

A Guardian Angel.

Save Game... Quit!

So uh... Look up the nana and makoto/ma kanji symbols and its meaning and it'll explain how the Angel died. Also, kinda worried that the whole assassin thing should count as causing an angel to fall, but I looked up that angels only fall when they stray from the path of God and think impure thoughts and I don't think they are in both cases. At least, I hope.

UknownHero signing off, my friends!
