Mad Tea Party

31st Century, Reflection, Clockwork's Tower

"What is it you wanted me to see, Father?"

"What it is you most desire?"

"That doesn't tell me anything."

(long pause)

"And quit smiling at me like that. I'm not two anymore!"

31st Century, Crystal Tokyo, Shrine of the Lost Ones

"Ganymede, this is really embarrassing!"

"It makes you look pretty, Miss Spectra."

"Bertrand?"

"You have a pretty fat butt."

"Bertrand!"

Naru and Umino followed the exchange back and forth between the ghosts and their king. Ganymede, half brother to both the King of Earth and the Queen of Mars, was smirking at the two ghosts. He folded his arms, and gave them a stern look with his ice-blue eyes.

"I did warn you two..."

"But a French maid costume?" Spectra protested. "It's kinda short."

"Not to mention a bit inappropriate for a child's tea party," the glowing green puma interjected. He wore a table strapped to his back, complete with full service. He had to move around very carefully.

"May I have some more tea?" Momo asked sweetly. "Pretty please?!"

Umino coughed, hiding a smile. Scribbling some notes in a notebook, a loud boom filled the air, followed by a shattering of shards.

Naru's eyes lit up; she jumped up and ran towards the sound.

CRAAAACK!

"Jackpot," Umino murmered to Ganymede, who nodded in understanding.

31st Century, Nemesis

Mizuno Saeko stared at the large black crystal that seemed to caress the sky. She had wandered into this strange citadel following a broken causeway over a desert of broken glass and sand.

"No sun," she muttered to herself. "No moon. No stars. Just crystals, glass and sand. No people to talk to. But at least I am free. I will never bow down to the Moon Witch and her glowing silver gem."

"Glad to meet someone after my own heart," a voice said from the shadows. A hooded male figure with mottled colored arms and sharp glowing fingernails appeared in front of her. "I am called Wiseman. What is your name?"

"Mizuno Saeko. Where is this place?"

"Nemesis, the tenth planet of the Sol System. We are the Black Moon clan. Welcome, sister," another voice whispered, moving forth out of the shadows. "I am Onyx, Prince of our clan. These are my advisors: Anyolite, Spinel and Topaz."

"Um, hi," she waved a bit, inwardly cursing her awkwardness.

"Welcome," she was greeted warmly.

"She should be given a new name," WIseman suggested from the shadows. His hands caressed a dark orb. "After all, this is her birth, and we are all her parents. A rare gem joins our clan."

"How about Pearl?"

"Too common."

"Opal?"

"Can be faked."

"Tsavorite?"

"Green garnet," Onyx mused. "Very rare indeed. Tsavorite, you shall be, sister. On behalf of the Black Moon clan, welcome home."

[ cut to Clockwork's Tower]

"Father, Mercury-hime's mother is...?"

"Yes, she is. You must not tell Mercury."

"My word is given."

31st Century, Crystal Tokyo, Shrine of the Lost Ones

"The Mad Tea Party is over," the King of All Ghosts declared, standing up. "I hope the two of you have learned a lesson." He looked pointedly over his shoulder at Spectra and the glowing green puma.

"Yes, Your Majesty," Penelope Spectra said, curtysing. "Now, can I please change out of these dreadful clothes?"

"I like the view," Betrand said, from his position on the floor, looking upwards.

"Pervert!"

"Perverted Puma to you, Miss Priss," came the retort.

"Are they always like this?" Umino asked, curiously.

"It's an improvement," the Ghost King muttered. "Girls!" he exclaimed, when he saw what his children had been up to in the last five minutes. A vision popped into his mind-something about chasing an ectopus, and some school props, and being laughed at by the whole school.

He shook his head, trying to clear it. "I'm fine," he told Umino. "I'm regaining my memories a bit at at a time. I think this one was from before the Great Sleep."

He glanced back over at his daughters. Momo and Rina were giggling. Chiasa was looking up into the heavens. Somehow, Yuki had been wrestled into a bright blue dress, with a white apron and blonde wig. Holding in his hands, was a silver tea tray with cakes on it.

"Would you like to try one?" Yuki offered his father.

Ganymede gave his youngest daughter a withering look. "You will give that book back to Small Lady after the Cleansing. Am I clear, Monica?"

"Hai," Momo said, a little too cheerfully.

"And a week without your ghost powers."

"Hai."

"And Hoshi gets to straighten your hair with a flat iron every day."

"Otou-san, that's mean!"

"Quiet," Umino admonished. "Naru's coming back."

"You really shouldn't do everything she tell you," Rina whispered to Yuki.

"Spend a lifetime with way too many sis-"

"Shhh!"

Naru walked back, and looked from King Ganymede to her lover. "Well?"

"How many?" Umino asked.

"Four," came the answer. "Three Americans and Senshi Mars' grandfather. Ganymede-sama, one of them keeps repeating your name over and over again."

Pinching the bridge of his nose, the Ghost King closed his eyes in annoyance. "Does she sound like she has a tight stick up her as-?"

"Dad!" Chiasa hissed, interrupting the word he had been about to say. "What did Mother and Saturn-hime say about using that type of language in front of Yuki?"

"Unless your mother is at the Time Gates, how will she know?" her father replied. "Girls, get Yuki out of that ridiculous get up. You can play dress up when we get home after the Cleansing."

Yuki punched the air. "Yes!"

"Can we make up his face too?"

"Why not?"

"NO!"

King Ganymede gave his son a pointed look. "You decided to go Travelling when you knew we had an important family function. The piper is owed a fee, I'd say."

Momo grinned, and whispered to Rina. "This is going to be so much fun."

Naru chuckled at the look of horror on the Saturn Knight's face. "I would say so," she said, answering the Ghost King's previous question.

"Dash, maybe Paulina or someone else from my past. Grandpa Hino. Describe the last one for me."

"A tall girl with red-hair."

The King of All Ghosts blinked, and then quickly formed an image of ecto-ice. "Would this be her?"

"Yes. You know her?"

"I think so. My memory is still fuzzy on the details."

"Okay. I'll go with Naru and give them the spiel, and you get the children to the Palace," Umino said. "Don't worry about the memories, Your Majesty. They will return in time."

"Thank you, Umino-kun," Ganymede said. "Girls? Yuki?"

"Hai, Otou-san?"

"Back to the Reflection, if you please. Join your mothers and I in one hour at the Crystal Palace."

"Hai," the kids answered, before walking into a glowing portal that appeared on cue.

A wisp of cold air escaped the Ghost King's mouth. He groaned, and shifted into ghost form. "Who is there?"

"Me."

"What do you want, Skulker?"

"Your pelt on my wall."

"Gotta catch me first," Ganymede taunted, jumping into the air and flying away.

Skulker chuckled darkly. "I do love a good hunt."

31st Century, Reflection, Phantom's Lair, Queen's Hall

"What are you doing, Hotaru?" Setsuna asked, watching her sister poke every shadow in the room.

"Making sure Ganymede doesn't have any little spies lurking about."

The Arabian beauty looked up from her book. "You could have just asked, Saturn-hime."

"Would you mind, dear?"

"So you have wished it, so shall it be."

Saturn breathed a sigh of relief, coughing a bit from the purple smoke. "Must you always be so dramatic?"

Desiree gave her a smug look, giving Hotaru a pause.

"What color is it?" she asked Setsuna, dread in her voice.

"A lovely shade of frost white with lavender highlights," Setsuna said, smirking a bit. "You'll match Ganymede perfectly for the ceremony this evening."

"Ugh! I've been infected with the Martian Curse!"

"Now, what did you want to talk about?" Desiree asked her once the laughter and theatrics died down.

Saturn frowned. "Ganymede must not go through with the Cleansing."

"Why ever not?"

"Under ghost law, if the King of the Reflection is defeated, the challenger, then, becomes the new King or Queen."

"So?"

"Ganymede will have to bend the knee to pledge allegiance to Serenity and Endymion at the Cleansing. By the laws of the Reflection, this means Serenity will have defeated him," Saturn explained. "Serenity's pure heart will become corrupted, and she'll become worse than Metallia, Galaxia and Pariah Dark combined."

"Then if Ganymede is not to be Cleansed this eveningtide by the Ginzuishou, what would you have me do?" Desiree wondered.

"Grant my wish," came the answer.

"If it within the realm of possibility, name thy heart's desire."

Setsuna listened as Hotaru outlined her plan. She nodded, as the groundwork was laid for the events she'd seen in her father's viewing portals.

If all went well, the issue with Amser would be a moot point, and it would lessen the need for any of the children to Travel.

She cleared her throat. "How far back will the stream of time unravel?"

"To just after Pariah Dark was sealed away. Ganymede will never be reborn as a human, but he'll still associate with the Fentons."

"This will rewrite most of the story. Crystal Tokyo will still exist, I should wonder?"

"Yes, but not in the way it exists today. The Observants aren't happy about this, but Father has assured them the timestream will remain intact with the new changes."

"And of the second matter you wished to discuss?" Desiree asked the Queen of Saturn.

"Gin's and Hoshi's 'redecorating'."

Setsuna groaned, and covered her eyes. "Ganymede should never have given them permission to do that."

"Gin's powers involve manipulation."

"I wish those two had never redecorated their room."

"So you have wished it, so shall it be."

Setsuna paused. "What color is my hair?"

"Your hair rivals Chibi-Usa in the cherry department."

"That bright?"

"Brighter."

"Honored One!"

Desiree's mocking laughter filled the room.

31st Century, Crystal Tokyo, Shrine of the Lost Ones

Paulina whimpered as the red-haired Japanese girl spoke in a weird language with the Fenton girl. How had this happened? Was she dead and cursed to some weird hell? Yeah, that was it-Mr. Lancer and the Fenton loser's braniac older sister were demons in disguise and were prepared to torture her for eternity.

"I'm dead! I'm dead! I'm dead!"

"You're not dead, miss," a male voice reassured him. "You just slept for a really long time. Calm down."

Paulina turned to see a hot looking guy -in a nerdy sort of way-not much older than herself, casually walk up with a pen and notepad in his hand. "I can't wait to get your back stories. Not many Americans among the Lost Ones."

"I can't wait to see my Rei-chan again," Grandpa Hino said wistfully. "Does my shrine still stand?"

"The Queen of Mars has preserved it well for you these many centuries," Naru stated. "I really should tell y'all about the Cleansing, but it would be better for you to experience one for yourself before you make your choice."

"Choice?" Jasmine Fenton asked, switching to English.

"Yes," Naru clarified. "You must be willing to allow the Queen of the White Moon to cleanse all evil from your heart should you wish to live on this world."

"Unless," Umino added, "you'd like to take a one-way trip to Nemesis."

"Ba-ba-ba-boom!"

All heads swiveled in the direction of the old priest. He laughed evilly. "You should see the looks on your faces. You young ones need to live life less seriously. Would you care to walk with me, beautiful one?"

Jasmine blushed as the old man bowed to her.

The fourth person in their group chose to speak up at this time. "The Gods Themselves!"

The cause for his explanation. Let's just say you would have shouted something along those lines if a glowing robotic ghost in a high-tech mechanical suit, frozen into the form of an ice cube, crash landed several feet in front of you. Well, maybe not in book title format, but you get my drift.

"King Ganymede, do you mind?" Naru yelled at a white-haired young man, who just teleported to the scene. He flicked nervous bright-green eyes at them.

"My pardons," the former ghost boy apologized. "I'll take the frozen tin can here, and get out of your way."

"Who was that?" Paulina asked, as the strange hot-looking ghost picked up the frozen ghost, and flew off.

"Danny Phantom, as I live and breathe," the overwieght English teacher commented. "I thought ghosts couldn't die."

"Oh, no one died," Umino commented, putting his pen and notepad away. "You just slept a really long time."

"How long?" Jasmine asked.

"Give or take, a thousand years or so," he said, shrugging his shoulders.

Whump.

"And there she goes," Jazz muttered. She gazed up back into the sky, hoping to find a sign of her little brother. He had grown up, but would he remember her.

"A really long time," Grandpa Hino dryly commented.

Naru pulled out a jar of crystals from her handbag. "Good thing I always carry the smelling salts with me. Let me wake her up, and I'll answer any questions you have on the way to the Palace."

In the time that was soon not to exist, Ganymede called a meeting of the Council of Five, and proceeded to obliterate Skulker's armor to less than scrap. Skulker, for his part, only said he was acting on orders, but refused to say whose.

Gin and Hoshi found their rooms painted a nice shade of pastel pink with white wicker furniture and a wood and brass vanity. Their mother pointed out they would be allowed to change the decor to something else, but had to run the plans by her instead of their father.

Mr. Lancer, Paulina, Jazz, and Grandpa Hino got a quick run down on how society had changed during the Great Sleep, and a history of the Sol System and their ruling families. Paulina was surprised to learn the loser goth girl despised by the A-listers had become the Queen of the Sun, and had two daughters - one by her crush no less.

It was the identity of King Ganymede that confused everyone. Granted they briefly remembered the wedding, but to find that King Ganymede was Danny Phantom/Danny Fenton was a bit much, but once he explained his memories of them were fractured, they couldn't help by feel sorry for him.

It was the fact that Danny had so many beautiful girls fawning all over him, and he felt nothing for her, that sent Paulina over the edge. Jupiter had to peel her off of him when she tried to claw his eyes out, and threw her into the courtyard pond to 'cool off'. Jadeite, his sister's consort, threatened to permanently fry her hair if she ever did that to anyone else. Ganymede responded by tossing Jadeite into the pond as well. The hot foot the Crow Prince earned from his sister was worth it.

Through it all, Serenity just smiled benignly, and Endymion kept muttering over and over to himself about killing his brother all the way dead.

Now we come to the Cleansing Ceremony itself...

"This is a dress," Ganymede grumbled, dark hair turning cherry pink.

"All Lost Ones wear them during the Cleansing Ceremony," Hotaru said. "Now, hush, and let me finish the adjustments."

"Fine."

Looking in the mirror, he blushed a bit. Hotaru was beautiful, wearing her wedding gown and crown. As Queen of the Saturn, she was more graceful and beautiful than her sisters. "Tara-chan?"

"Hmmm?"

"What do you think of second chances?"

"Second thoughts, Crow Prince?"

Ganymede's hair turned frost white, the lavender highlights shining brightly. Ice blue eyes met her dark violet. "No," he said, turning around and catching her in his arms.

She wrapped her arms around his neck. "That's what I thought," she murmured, drawing him closer to her. Ganymede's lips barely touched hers, before he hissed and pulled away.

Hotaru opened her eyes. "What?" she asked, looking around.

Endymion coughed. "It is time, brother."

Ganymede blushed again, ice blue eyes turned emerald green but his hair remained frost white.

"DId you something with your hair, Hotaru-chan?" the King of Earth asked the Senshi of Death and Rebirth.

"Why ever do you ask?" Hotaru asked, batting her dark lashes at him innocently.

Ganymede hid his laughter behind a cough. "Let's go," he said.

Paulina watched as the royal families of the Sol System began to gather, and arranged themselves around the throne.

Silent Mercury, the Guardian of Ice and Wisdom.

Golden Venus, azure eyes bespoke a volume love for her Queen and Princess.

Fiery Mars, alert for threats from the spirit realm, searched the shadows and ranks around the room.

The Amazoness Jupiter, tense and ready for a fight-and a killer chef. After the catfight in the courtyard, she had been quick to offer everyone apple-pumpkin cookies.

Paulina's eyes found the other guardians scattered around the room.

The Three Daughters of Time whispered together, while the twin forms of the Sky and Sea were alert for any trouble. The ghosts of the Reflection murmured amongst themselves, while the Council of Five-Ganymede's closest advisors, wore frowns and exchanged looks of disgust. Only the Wisconsin Ghost-how was he even still alive after a thousand years?-stood cool and aloof, as if he knew something was going to occur.

Danny Phantom entered the room, clad in a white robe. His long hair was braided in a single plait down his back with tiny hematite beads woven artfully through out. The lavender hightlights perfectly matched his wife's.

Paulina watched him walk over to the Three Daughters of Time. To the Queen of the Sun, he clasped her hands, and leaned over to whisper something in her ear. The woman let out a soft cry-her husband, the Sun King catching her before she fell. What would she had given to know what the ghost boy had told Manson just then!

Turning her head, she watched a woman dressed in pearly grey and -

"Left Behind, that's Miss Meioh!" Lancer swore under his breath. "I always knew there was something strange about that woman."

Setsuna Meioh's garnet eyes looked over to them, and regarded the Lost Ones for a minute before twirling her consort around and frenching him before her sisters and the whole court.

Sailor Mars coughed loudly.

Neo-Queen Serenity giggled, while King Endymion glared furiously at them.

"Let me show you how it's truly done, dear," the buxom Wishing Ghost announced, before showing them what she meant. King Ganymede's hair turned to a bright shade of cherry pink, rivalling the Queen of Pluto's.

The Queen of Saturn laughed softly. "No, this is how you truly do it." She kissed the King of All Ghosts lightly on the forehead. His hair turned back to frost white.

"I concede, Saturn-hime," the djinn said. "You know what is best for our Master."

"Girls, do you mind?" the Ghost King asked. "This is best discussed in private."

"Agreed," King Endymion's voice called out. "Ganymede, King of the Underworld and of the Reflection, you have promised to pledge your allegiance to the Queen of the White Moon, and are willing to be cleansed by the Ginzuishou. Will you honor your word?"

Before Ganymede could respond, Hotaru cried with a loud voice, "I wish..."

"SO YOU HAVE WISHED IT, SO SHALL IT BE!" Desiree's voice rang out through the hall.

Darkness fell over the assembled company, as time fell back on itself.

31st Century, Dark World of Nemesis

"What is happening?!" the shriveled form of Wiseman cried out, as Prince Onyx and Tsavorite, his beloved, faded into bright sparkles. "No, all my plans are undone!"

"NOOO!"

Ghost Zone, Clockwork's Tower

The Clockwork Chronos turned back to the Observants. "Now, it is out of my hands. They will make their own future. Are you happy?"

"Quite," the one called L'Orb replied. "Don't screw up."

Clockwork glanced down at the final page torn from his daughter's journal.

All is as it should be, Father. - Sailor Saturn

"Indeed," he murmured, as the Observants saw themselves out.

Author's Note: You will find out happens in the next and final installment in the series. No promises as to when that will be. I have quite a back log of emails from the past year to go over as this has taken most of the last few months to write in between Life's crazy way of interrupting me. I'm going to start updating and finishing other stories throughout the next year, so cannot tell you what will come next. Please have patience if you don't get a response to a review right away.
