Worf POV
As I left Charlee's quarters for the nights I told the computer to monitor any abnormal behavior patterns from that room. I knew it was wrong to use my security clearance to monitor her like this, but I needed to make sure that she stayed safe. Since I wasn't hungry I went straight to my own quarters and fell asleep.
'Warning. Extremely rapid breathing patterns in Medical Quarters Four. Warning. Extreme blood pressure levels in Medical Quarters Four.' Blared next to my ears. The warning repeated in my ear as I rushed out of my room and ran to Charlee's. Even though I raced through the corridors it felt like I wasn't moving at all. The hallway just kept extending itself and my body was very sluggish. It seemed like it took years and years, but I finally reached her doorway but when I tried to enter it nothing happened. I began to feel true fear and my heartbeat started to pound in my ears. I tried the door again but it still wouldn't open and so I began to bang on her door telling her to let me in. Nothing. Happened.
"...Security alert in Medical Quarters One. Security alert in Medical Quarters One." I faintly heard from somewhere above me. I ignored it to keep pounding on Charlee's door. I didn't know what was happening, but I knew that she needed me and I wasn't going to fail her!
"Security alert in Medical Quarters One." As the alert got louder and louder my vision became blacker and blacker.
I jerked awake and sat up. As I rubbed my face I could hear the actual computer alert.
"What's the security alert in Medical Quarters One?" I asked the computer as I jumped out of bed and pulled my shoes on.
"Intruder has disabled locks and entered the room. Intruder is unknown but scan shows that they are Human." The computed reported.
"Alert Security! Place Medical Quarters on lock down and inform Captain Picard and Commander Riker of the intruder!" I shouted as I ran to the lift. Unlike in my dream I reached the sickbay level in record time and I could already see a security team along with Commander Riker just outside of the door that leads to the Medical Quarters.
"What's going on Worf?!" Riker demanded.
"We have an unknown intruder in Charlee's quarters. I placed a security alert on the room in case of an emergency. I was awoken by the alarm stating that a Human intruder had disabled the lock and entered the room."
"Understood. The Captain is on the bridge monitoring our progress and there's another security team on the other side of the corridor to block the intruder's access to the other lift."
"Good. Commander, I want you to stay here with two members of the security detail to guard this lift." I ordered.
"The rest of you are with me. Remember, this is a hostage situation. The hostage is a brunette Human female. Phasers on stun. We need to take this intruder alive." I briefed the rest of my team as we entered the hallway that led to the Medical Quarters.
