Chapter 17:
"Eat" Shinoa kicked the tray, the bread and bottled water splattered into the floor of their captives' cells.
"Shinoa! That is not how you treat your—" Hiragi Kureto's words died down once a bread was rudely shoved into his mouth. He turned around to see the owner of the rude hand.
"Don't say anything that will anger her more" Shinya narrowed his eyes. He did not think twice and he shoved the bread into Kureto's mouth.
"Lord Kureto!" Aoi Sanguu worriedly said.
"Shinoa— Mika— I am glad you two are alive" Yuu cried and yet the other two said nothing. Felt nothing unlike their friend who is glad to see them.
"Let's go Mika-san" The Hiragi princess muttered revealing her fangs unconsciously.
"…" Aware on how everyone stares at his companion Mika grabbed her arm and dragged her out. He knows how uncomfortable it is to know be turned into a monster. Pity and guilt hit Mika's hardened heart.
"…" Yuu stared at the wasted food. Shinoa was also turned into a blood-sucking monster like Mika but still he wants to save them from the vampires' hands. He clenched his fists.
"If you are thirsty you better ask for Ferid to give you your fill" The blond vampire-seraph experiment said coldly.
"How pitiful" Shinoa's expression darkens. The young Hiragi princess can hear Shikamadoji snorting behind her.
"Tch" Mika unsheathed his sword and he pointed it at Shinoa however he realized that the woman somewhat different from her usual self.
"Which one of them does you like most?" Shikamadou asked his owner. He leaned closer to Shinoa's ear, only she can hear him but he loved to tease the young demon hybrid.
"You still like to help Yuu, am I right?" Shinoa ignored her demon and instead she pointed the edge of her scythe into Mika's throat. "I won't allow you"
"What can you exactly do? I am Krul Tepes' scion while you are just Ferid Bathory—" Mika hissed, his arm was dislocated by the shorter vampire.
"Don't insult me" She warned him, her hand still holding the taller vampire's wrist despite the fact that she broke his whole arm.
"Mika!" Lacus called out, he whistled once he saw Mika's pained expression. Shinoa is quite looking scarier than before.
"What's happening here?" Rene asked the two younger vampires. Surprised to see a rather rare display of strength from the Ferid's 'child'.
"…" She walked away without answering anyone.
