Chapter 18:
"It's time" The man in a black business suit said to his companions. The two underlings of his just stayed quiet. Today, he heard the news of the members of the vampire progenitor councils were all here in Japan. He wondered why they will even gather here until he heard from his underling that his 'son' found a way to drag the oldest progenitors all over the world without them realizing his brat's game. Rigr snorted at how foolish his brothers and sisters has become over the time.
"Really though— should I visit my son then to see what he is up to around this time" Rigr asked no one. The second progenitor laughed. The two underlings behind him stared at him albeit confused. "Well then it looks like I really need to check on that boy"
Meanwhile inside a room, Ferid sneezed. The kings and queen with him stared at him disapprovingly. The seventh progenitor just shrugged while pinching the bridge of his nose. Krul Tepes rolled her eyes. Arucanu keeps on flying above her.
"I read a report about Rigr Stafford staying here. Is that the reason why you agreed to be assigned here Ferid Bathory?" Urd inquired at the youngest progenitor in the room.
"No. I really want to stay with Queen Krul. I owe her a lot and I really hate owing someone. Let's not forget that her majesty is really a strong and charismatic progenitor unlike some brat who just want to bragged his unimportant achievements when no one even bothers to ask about it" Ferid smirked upon knowing that he step on Lest Karr's pride was once again and the little brat can't even do anything but to glare because Urd is with them.
"If Rigr is here that means he knows where the first progenitor is" Urd rubbed his chin while ignoring the fact that Ferid just insulted Lest Karr. He too agreed with Ferid that Karr's boasting is quite tiring so he doesn't care at all if someone is to rub on the child's face that no one cares at all of whatever self-rivalry he developed for Krul. As a matter of fact, he is quite impressed on Ferid and his way of handling Lest Karr despite the big difference on their strength.
"He knows where Ashera is" Krul clenched her jaw. A memory of her brother almost send her into spiraling despair but the glint on Ferid's eyes somewhat calmed her. The man knows how to play his game and so she must play her role too.
"But why would his majesty Rigr Stafford will want to follow the first progenitor? He even abandoned his post in Europe just to hide here?" Ky saw how Ferid purposely tried to annoy Karr and for that Ky is quite interested on the man. Ky Luc never really likes Lest Karr because not only he is too boastful, he is very childish too and he is not a sharp knife either. At least Krul despite being forced to live in her child-like body, the woman can think smartly.
"The seraph of the end could it be that he is after it?" Lest whispered. Krul rolled her eyes because of how Karr was too slow to realized things. Oh well, he is trapped inside his own little world so who would even care.
"What?" Ferid laughed really loud and it took him a minute to stop. "You just realized that?" The seventh progenitor asked, his voice is dripping with mockery and sarcasm towards the dual colour haired vampire.
"Don't you dare—" Karr stood up but Ferid just stared at him.
"Dare what? Insult you? Then what can you really do? We both know that if you want to find Lord Stafford, you need me. Lord Geales will prefer my company over your oh so amazing company because between you and me, he is aware that I am very useful than you"
"…" Lest Karr jerked from his seat once the truth is slapped on his face. He eyed Urd but the man paid no heed to him and instead he continued talking to Ferid, Krul and even to Ky while he was thoroughly being ignored.
"Do you have any idea where we can find Rigr?" Urd inquired.
"No but I heard a lot of rumours that he is collecting children who undergone the seraph of the end experimentations. I believed that he'll try to take down the first progenitor on his own" Ferid folded his arms in front of his chest.
"If we want to win this war we too also need to move accordingly" Ky said.
"Are you perhaps suggesting that we too must use the seraphs?" The vampire king of Russia darted his sole attention to Ky.
"Why not?" Krul asked. "The humans are using them and I don't see any reason on why we must not step out of our comfort zone"
"You—!" Lest Karr is about to punch Krul when Ferid stretched his leg before Karr can maim Ferid's queen causing for the short male vampire to stumble.
"Pfffttt— ahahahahahahahahahahahaha" Ky burst into laughter. He couldn't believe that Ferid will really harm Karr. He dragged Lest Karr before the short man can harm Ferid beyond repair.
"Ky Luc send him out" Urd snapped. He couldn't deal with the vampire king of Germany's behavior anymore so he had decided to send him out anyway he is not helpful at all.
"Yes your majesty!" Ky saluted and he dragged Karr as if he is just a doll and he throw him out of the room, slamming and locking the door behind him afterwards.
"What?" Ferid asked his superiors who were looking at him as if he grew another head. "He is about to hit Lady Krul and I can't just watch that right?"
"Trust me Ferid that was the best thing you ever did in your life" Krul smirked.
