Chapter 22: Decision
Darkness of alleyway is the only thing that saves her from her own monster. Shinoa was never this thankful that this place rarely have any livestock, her throat is dry since the day Ferid was abducted by one of the progenitors. The blood supply that his sire provided will no longer be enough soon. Krul offered blood but not for free and Shinoa have no need for another master to serve. Ferid and Krul are complete opposite in many ways but both are selfish in their own way.
"What are you doing here?"
"?!" Her blade threatens to chop off the intruder's neck yet the teenager in front of her paid no heed to the threat. She relaxed and called back her demon.
"I believed that I asked you a question" Mikaela glared at her. As per usual, he is calm and cold at the same time. His ruby-coloured eyes shines dangerously.
"It is none of your business. Since when did you care about anyone aside from Yuichiro-san?" Her voice void of emotion.
"Tch" He clicked his tongue when she mentioned his precious Yuu. Mika turned his back on her but not before throwing a small bag full of test tube with blood. "Ferid will not be here so you better drink that. Krul wants you to stay sane until Ferid is recovered from the Second Progenitor.
Mahiru floated towards Ferid who is currently facing the punishment from his father. Sniffing the burning flesh, she smirked while her fun partner suffers. They are both aware that this is all part of their calculations and soon their plans will take into action.
"Ahahaha I can smell barbecue" Mahiru halted beside Ferid.
Rigr realized that Ferid is no longer responding to him and his crimson eyes staring at his left side. What are you looking at Ferid? Rigr thought to himself while observing his progeny.
"He is watching us" Mahiru whispered onto his ear as if teasing.
Guren closed his eyes while Shinya is pestering him to share his secret to him. He always believed that Guren was possessed by Mahiru but he couldn't prove it. Their demon possessed weapons were all captured by vampires to stop them from starting a coup.
"Come on Guren— you have to tell me what is bothering you. It is what friends are for" Shinya nagged until Guren pushed him off of him.
"You are bothering me" Guren calmly said to his friend, amethyst eyes glaring daggers at the snipper.
Urd gathered the progenitors that are present within the mainland of Japan while the low-ranking progenitors are quiet at the whole meeting, the higher ranked progenitors are bickering like children. Krul Tepes and Lest Karr in particular are almost at each other's throat if not for Urd Geales stopping them.
"Ferid Bathory is a traitor and we all know it. Hah! Probably Krul is part of this fiasco" Lest Karr accused the older progenitor much to her annoyance.
"Silence, Lest Karr. No one is asking for your opinion" Krul Tepes snarled, small fists is ready to pounce the pompous brat.
"You are the only one who isn't interested because you are guilty as much as Ferid Bathory, Krul Tepes. Japan will be better if I will to—" Lest Karr halted when he felt Urd's silence disapproval.
"Enough" The whole room became silent when Urd interefered at last. "Ferid Bathory whether he is a traitor or not must be retrieved. If there is anyone who is aware of Rigr Stafford's plan, it will be his progeny alone."
