Chapter 16:
Hikari went to back overseas to finish his work as fast as he could so that he could go home to his father where his adopted brother is currently waiting. Louis is always been a quiet one but out of the brothers he is Hikari's favourite. Most of them like Louis over the other brothers despite being adopted; Louis can get along well with the rest of them. If only they could take back what was lost since Ema joined their household, Hikari shook his head and he continued his work. The sooner he could finish everything, the sooner he could go back to Louis. Somehow, he has a feeling that his father has another agenda. He once heard him talking to someone over the phone and his father seemed tolerating Louis out of duty not love.
"What are you thinking?" Hikari's female friend asked him, soft smile adorning her face.
"Go away woman. Can't you see that I am busy right now?" Hikari hissed.
"Geez don't be so stingy" She turned her full attention across the room where Hikari resides overseas.
Louis is on his way back to the manor of Hikari's father from work when he bumped onto a child around Wataru's age. The airhead vampire stood up and he lends a hand to help the boy. He noticed that the young boy is alone.
"Where are your parents?" Louis asked the child, he checked if the boy is hurt. He is glad when he confirmed with his own eyes that he isn't hurt at all.
"They are not here and I am looking for uncle" The boy's heterochromic eyes stares directly at Louis and a sweet smile adorns his lips. "Perhaps big brother can help?" The boy said almost bouncing from where he stands.
"Do you kno—" Louis blinked as if confused at first then his body went numb first then his vision darkens.
Hikari's father is peacefully signing some documents when he heard the commotion downstairs. One of his personal guards barged in to report what happened.
"My Lord! Young Master Louis is—" He was slammed against the door by some unknown force, a child standing before him afterwards and facing the lord of the manor.
"So this is where you chose to reside" The child walked towards him, Hikari's father lowered himself on the floor to kneel in front of the boy.
"Your majesty, what do I owe the pleasure of your presence?"
"Your sons are not here?" He ignored the question for they both know why he is standing at the place. Observing the elegance of the room itself, the malevolence of the boy laced his persona.
"I sincerely want to apologize—" The next thing he knows is that he is pinned by the child.
"I am getting bored with this game" The child warned.
Ema is distraught at how things ended up. It is her fault that Louis and Hikari left the house. She is aware that Hikari is not fond of her and she thought that he could give her chance. Never in her life thought that will she destroy a family. She cried her eyes out last night and tried to avoid the brothers in the morning. She heard from Ukyo that Louis and Hikari will stay at the house of Hikari's father.
"Chii" Juli is worried of Ema because she's been depressed since the day the two fox brothers left the house. He promised himself that he'll protect Ema but with the sudden change of environment around them, Juli no longer know how to protect her. Rintaro is one to blame for all this mess.
