(With Harry)
Nine year old Harry was cooking breakfast. His stomach growled loudly but he ignored it. If he were to steal food or ask for it he would be punished. He needed to focus on not burning the food. If he did he would be punished. His aunt entered the kitchen.
"Once you're done, make yourself a plate. Eat it outside." She said having remembered that he needed to be fed at least once a day.
"Yes ma'am." He said as he flipped the bacon.
His aunt looked away from him. He knew that his eyes bothered him. They were the same emerald green as her sister and her father. Lily and Harry, Petunia's father, would be so angry and disappointed in their treatment of the child. The woman knew that and that was why she usually avoided looking at Harry's eyes.
The child finished making breakfast. He set the table. After that he made himself a plate and went outside. He started eating.
'Why don't they love me?' He wondered. 'Nothing I do is good enough for them.'
Once he finished eating he sat there and waited. He wasn't allowed back in until the family finished eating. It would take a while between Dudley and Vernon. They ate a lot of food. A knock on the door let him know they were done eating.
He stood up and entered the kitchen. As usual there were no leftovers. He grabbed the dishes and began cleaning them. After that he cleaned the rest of the kitchen. Luckily Dudley was so much of a glutton that he never left a mess. He ate all that he could shove into his mouth.
When Harry finished cleaning he went to his uncle. He was given a list of chores that had to be done by the time Vernon returned. The man left after giving the dark haired child a disgusting look. Said child immediately got to work. He started with the bathroom upstairs.
He worked through the list as fast as he could while also being completely thorough. Luckily his cousin had gone to a friend's house. Had he been home he would have kept messing up the rooms Harry had cleaned. He enjoyed getting Harry into trouble. If the list wasn't completed by the time Vernon came home he wouldn't get to eat dinner nor get to eat anything the next day. Harry liked being able to eat more than once a day.
By the time Harry had finished the list Vernon and Dudley returned. He was ordered to make dinner. The green eyed child did and when he was finished he was allowed to grab a plate.
He ate, cleaned up, and then went to his cupboard. He changed clothes and went to bed. He didn't fall asleep right away. Instead he looked at the ceiling and made a wish.
"I wish I was somewhere I was loved." Harry whispered before he closed his eyes and fell asleep.
A soft green light filled the room. It wasn't bright enough to wake the kid up. Soon Harry disappeared. His wish was about to be granted.
