Chapter 7

Okay Bella this is it, you can do it, you've worked here before.
Well that was before the whole incident happened.
Ugh, stupid conscience, always trying to kill my buzz.
I was currently standing in front of The Carver Cafe trying to convince myself that everything was okay and that I have experience with this kind of stuff...a lot of experience.
Maybe everything's not okay. What if a certain someone decides to show up again? What are you gonna do then, huh?
Shut up! I need to do this.
For the past few days I had been having several nightmares about Edward somehow finding me here in Forks.
Well he is the son of a mob boss. He can easily get someone to track you down. He's probably shifting through your records right now and you don't even know it.
Whatever. I can do this.
I take a deep breath and walk into the cafe. Why was I so nervous in the first place? I mean, I don't think Edward could be that obsessed with me. We barely even talked to each other.
Besides it's not like he can find me so soon.
I walked into the kitchen and saw Angela cooking some stew on the stove.
We had gone to high school together when we were younger
Ah, the good times.
"Hey Angie, how are you?"
"Bella you're here!"
"Well, I did tell you I would come help you out, didn't I?"
"Yes, thanks by the way. It's just getting so hard to do all the waiting by myself, with the amount of people that come here."
"Who does all the cooking?"
"Oh, um, it's Ben who does the cooking." she said with a slight blush on her cheeks.
"Ben? As in Ben Cheney?"
"Um, yeah."
"Oh, well...that's interesting," I said while trying to hold my laughter back. I bet cooking's not the only thing he helps her with,"Where's he now?"
"He said he had something very important to do." I gave her a small smile as I tied an apron around my waist. I took a notebook off of the counter and immediately started taking people's orders. A few people were surprised to see me again, and others just didn't care.
After eight hours of laboring, I was free to leave.
"See ya Angie."
"Night Bella." she said in a cheery voice. I hugged my sweater close to my body as I got ready for the long walk home.
I need to find a car, and fast.
I snuggled deeper into my fuzzy blanket, as the piercing cold raked through my body. There were holes all around the house that had decided to invite the cold inside. I had to find someone to help me fix them, before I catch anything serious.
I thought about all the memories that I've had in this house, and eventually drifted into a peaceful sleep.

I grimaced as I wiped some blood off of my hands. Another job well done. I had just taken care of a nutcase that had refused to pay me back.
Ugh, why do people do this to me every time. Don't they know who I am, and what I can do to them?
Anyways, I've got better things to do than to think about that. Jasper's telling me that I probably shouldn't go get Bella yet, or else I might just scare her off again. He says that I should let her think that she's safe, and away from my grasp.
If she thought that she could keep herself hidden for too long then she was wrong. I sighed as I pulled up in my garage. I hope no one's going to try to annoy me today. Well, I guess if you count Emmett as no one.
I slammed my car door shut and strode over to the front door.
"Eddie!" I heard as soon as my foot stepped over the threshold.
Oh God, please no.
I cringed as Tanya held me in a tight unwanted embrace. When is she gonna accept the fact that I don't want her. I bet it's my mother who's feeding her all these lies.
"Edward, darling how are you?" I glared ay my mother as I tried to pry Tanya's hands off of me.
"Mom," I said while still glaring at her,"what is Tanya doing here?" I had finally managed to get Tanya's hands off of me, and tried to keep her at an arm's length.
I'm too stressed for all this girl drama. I would prefer Emmett over this torture any day.
I'm going to kill my mother.
