Chapter 24

Ok! So I got some responses on the last chapter. That makes me happy even if it was over such a bad chapter. It made me want to keep typing. Though I'm surprised I didn't very many flames over that last part. Oh well, I'm going to just get on with the show. ONWARD TO THE BATTLE FIELD!

"I broke up with Klarion." Raven mumbled hugging Cherie Curie close to her chest. Uriah paused for a moment, placing his hand to his face to cover the grin he was now wearing. He knew Raven would leave, he just hadn't expected it so soon. Once he had composed himself once again he held out his hand to help Raven stand.

"I see. So you finally came to your conclusion." He said. Raven nodded.

"Y-yeah…" She mumbled, "look I don't plan to stay long. Just until I can conjure up a glamour charm, and I can go back to Gotham."

"Please," Uriah said placing his hand gently on Raven's shoulder, "Stay as long as you need."

"Thank you. I knew I could trust you." Raven said. Uriah nodded and tried hard to suppress the impulse to laugh as he led Raven to a room. There was some protest from Raven's familiar however she seemed to ignore the feline. (much to Uriah's satisfaction.) it was a good thing Raven didn't listen to her familiar, and in a matter of time Raven's power would be his power.

Klarion awoke a bit agitated that following morning. For some reason he had the strange feeling that something had hit him while he slept, and Raven was gone and wouldn't be back until who knew what time. He sat at a conference with the light stroking his cat. As usual it was a boring talk about the Light and the Reach. When would Savage get it through his head that he had no interest in meetings? He didn't join for the boring parts.

Klarion then began to remember the night before that he spent with Raven. She hadn't spoken to him after words. Was she angry? Perhaps he was a bit too rough, but honestly Raven had been acting so strange it was frustrating! He was frustrated and he had lost control. Klarion rolled his eyes, if Raven was upset she would get over it. Like she always did, she'd be gone for maybe a few hours and then realize that he was the only person for her, the only person she could really trust, and she would come back. Then maybe everything would go back to normal with the two of them.

"Oh how nice of Uriah to let you stay in such a lavished room." Cherie hissed sarcastically. Whilst it was true the room Raven was sitting in was very luxurious and nice, Cherie wasn't all that happy about the fact that they were there. Nor did he trust Uriah in any way. Raven scowled at her familiar who sat on a shelf over looking her as she read through a book.

"Can it with the sarcasm Cherie." She said reading through the book, "I don't care what you think, we're away from Klarion. Besides we'll only be here long enough for me to make a glamour charm. Then we can leave. Happy?"

"Very. The sooner we leave this boy's home the better." Cherie mewed jumping down from his perch, "By the way Raven, what exactly is this charm supposed to do?"

"Change my appearance." Raven mumbled, "To anyone but whoever's around to see me put it on anyway."

"I see…magic is a convenient thing isn't it?" he purred. Raven nodded silently.

"Do you think he's even noticed we've left?" She mumbled, Cherie sighed and jumped onto his master's lap.

"What does it matter if he has? You are trying to leave him, Raven deary." He said, "You must not concern yourself with him."

"I'm not concerned with him. I'm worried that he might come looking for me." She said, "That's the point of this charm."

Suddenly Raven heard a knock on her room door. She jumped in surprise, slamming her book shut as looked back and Uriah walked in with a kind smile on his face. Raven let out a sigh of relief and reopened her book as Uriah walked up to her.

"You know it doesn't take long to make a glamour charm." He said looking over her shoulder. Raven blushed a bit.

"Stuff like this is actually hard for me, yaknow?" she mumbled, "I've only really studied this magic stuff for a year or two with Klarion."

"I see, well you may take your time." Uriah said placing his hand on Raven's shoulder, "If you are in need of any kind of help, feel free to ask me."

"Uhm…th-thanks…" Raven mumbled, her face burning a shade of red. On her lap Cherie Curie hissed at Uriah, who narrowed his eyes at the feline before he left the room.

"You still trust him?" The feline hissed. Raven said nothing and simply buried her face in the book she was reading. Cherie sighed, "I don't know what to do with you Raven dear."

"You could always trust me. I trust Uriah and you should just trust me." She said, Cherie looked up at Raven as his ears drooped.

"I do trust you." He said, then sighed. He was just going to have to keep a watch out for Raven in silence. Cherie sighed and curled up in Raven's lap, Raven made a face. Since Cherie was mostly a white furred cat he tended to leave white fur on her clothes. Usually Raven would make some kind of comment on this, but, being that she needed to figure out how to make a good glamour charm and fast, she decided to ignore it and continue reading. Little did she know of the eyes watching her from the door.

Uriah's snake familiar, Draco, was spying on Raven and her familiar. Meanwhile Uriah watched through the snake's eyes, he grinned evilly. He now had Klarion's woman all to his self, all that was left to do was bide his time. Soon, he would have Raven's power, what he planned to do with Raven after words…he hadn't decided yet. However, Uriah had debated adding insult to Klarion's injury by keeping Raven with him. Even if she was only under a spell, it would be entertaining to see the look on Klarion's face to see his woman taken from him.

However these were merely ideas that popped into Uriah's head at the moment. Whether or not he would actually go through with that part of the plan, was yet to be determined. Uriah smirked as he watched Raven through his familiar's eyes, all the while sitting in a very posh looking chair and sipping on tea. it was only a matter of time. Then all his planning, all his patience would pay off.

And Raven Blu's power would be his.
