Chapter 25
That night he caged her
Bruised and broke her
He struggled closer
Then he stole her
Violet wrists and then her ankles
Silent Pain
Then he slowly saw their nightmares were his dreams
So I've decided to scrap the Halloween project. No one really seem all that interested, and since that happened I canceled it, and will be taking it down soon. However that means I'm back to typing up 'What if?' and 'Invasion of the blue rafters!' so there's a bit of a silver lining, I guess. *sigh* oh well it's for the best, 'Lita's Halloween Adventure,' was becoming rushed and wasn't coming along very well. So anyway I won't dwell and maybe next year I'll do it up better. ONWARD TO THE BATTLE FIELD!
"Where the hell is she!?" Klarion shrieked knocking over his desk. It had been days since Raven had left. He was growing impatient. Where the hell was she? And why had she even left in such a huff? Worse he couldn't find her, the stone she usually kept around her neck—the one he had given her the day they met—so finding her was impossible.
"How could she possibly just up and go, without telling me anything?!" He growled, from the floor Teekl watched as his master threw his tantrum, knocking over his desk, sending books flying off the shelves, he even went so far as to shatter a few windows. Glass, paper, and wood laid strewn across the floor as Klarion paced back and forth across the room. Teekl snorted.
"Perhaps it had something to do with what you did that night?" he mewed, Klarion paused and looked to his familiar.
"What are you talking about?" he hissed. Teekl sighed.
"The night you forced yourself upon Raven." He said, flicking his tail in annoyance of his master's forgetfulness. Klarion thought for a moment, then a smirk slipped its way across his face as he remembered. He had completely forgotten about that night. He had bound Raven to her bed and had his way with her. It was her own fault—at least in his mind—if she had just quit with her annoying pestering, things wouldn't have escalated the way that they had. A low chuckle escaped Klarion's throat—he had to admit, he did rather enjoy playing with Raven that way.
"That was all in good fun. Besides, I was under the impression she enjoyed that sort of thing." He said with a devilish smirk.
"Maybe when you're not angry over nothing." The cat grumbled. Klarion glared and knocked over a shelf.
"IT WAS NOT NOTHING!" he shouted, his voice echoing with power, "Raven's been keeping secrets! I wanted to know what they were. It's not my fault things escalated the way they did. It just happened."
"Right, yes. Raven, the human girl, forced your hand." Teekl said with a hint of sarcasm. "You have less sense in your brain than that black and white stray cat."
"What are you getting at you stupid cat?" Klarion hissed. Teekl stood and padded over toward the door.
"I am saying, that not everything is someone else's fault." He mewed then scurried away. Leaving Klarion to dwell. He huffed.
"What the hell? It's not like she'll stay gone anyway!" He shouted, "Once the justice League goes after her, she'll be crawling back!"

"How goes the charm?" Uriah asked walking into his living room and finding the dark blue haired girl as she sat on the floor in front of his couch with the same book she had the night before. Raven groaned as she laid her head on the table.
"Fifteen tries and still no progress." She mumbled, "I swear I'm going to get this! And when I do, I'll be out of your hair, and you can go back to doing…whatever it was or is, that you're doing."
Uriah gave Raven a pleasant smile as he sat on the lounge like couch behind her, his snake familiar wrapped around his arm. From Raven's side, Cherie eyed the two, always wary of the boy's presence.
"It is fine Raven dear. I'm more than happy to have your company. I'm usually alone here in this house." He said, Raven looked over her shoulder at the blue skinned boy.
"That sucks. Why don't you venture out some time?" She asked, "I know Gotham's lively these days."
"Ah, Gotham I've been there a few times. None of my visits ever that pleasant." Uriah mumbled, Raven snorted.
"I can get that. To be honest, I never wanted to live in Gotham. I'd rather live somewhere like Tokyo, or Paris." She said, "Gotham has too many lying hero types."
"Lying hero types?" Uriah asked, leaning forward and resting his elbows on her knees and his head in his hands. "What do you mean? I thought all of your world's heroes were honest."
"Not if you're friends with their alter ego." Raven grumbled, "I'd really much rather not talk about it."
"Fair enough. I shall leave you to your conjuring then." He said, then stood. Raven stood andwatched as he walked toward the doorway. She went to stop him from leaving, but stopped a few feet away from him. She thought for a moment, then spoke.
"Thanks again….Uriah." She said, he paused, "For—for letting me stay with you. I don't know if Klarion's looking for me right now, but, I don't think he'll ever find me here."
Uriah rolled his eyes before giving a warm fake smile. "Of course. And if Klarion were looking for you, I can assure you. This, would be the last place he would ever think to look."
"I don't know how I'll be able to repay you for this." She said, "You're a really nice person."
Uriah suppressed the evil smirk that wanted to force its way onto his face. He had to keep his composure until he had Raven precisely where he wanted her—drained of magic and at his feet—he had to bid his time, be patient…soon, he would claim his prize, and Raven's power, her overwhelmingly powerful and raw magic would be—suddenly his thoughts were cut short by Raven's lips being pressed upon his. The action surprised him a bit, and by the look on Raven's face when she pulled away, it had surprised her too. The duo stared at each other for a brief moment before Raven placed her hand over her mouth and ran her other—now shaking hand—through her hair.
"Oh…god…what am I doing?" She shrieked, "I just broke up with Klarion…this is so wrong."
Uriah remained silent, a bit taken back by the girl's sudden action. Never had he imagined the girl would react to his feigned kindness in that way. Silently he touched his fingertips to his lips, as if a sudden sensation had suddenly began. Raven looked to him with panic in her deep sapphire blue eyes, as she moved her hair from her face.
"I swear, I'm not a slut. I'm not like that." She said. Uriah, removing his hand from his face and placing it behind his back, cleared his throat before giving her a soft look.
"I know this Raven," He said in a kind voice, "You are simply vulnerable. Having fled from an abusive lover, I can only imagine the thoughts going through your mind once faced with kindness of any kind. And I would certainly not take advantage of a woman while she's in such a state. So let us act as if it never happened."
Raven paused, taking in what Uriah had just said with a surprised look on her face. She then smiled and let out a sigh, once again running her hand through her dark blue hair, "You're a dying breed of man, yaknow that?"
"Is that so?"
"Mmhm. You're probably the first person besides Klarion to ever be genuinely nice to me." She mumbled as a small reminiscent smile spread onto her face, "Even if Klarion did go crazy after a while he used to be nice."
"I sense a bit of missing in your tone of voice Raven," Uriah said, "Let you not forget what that boy has done to you in recent past."
"Of course I know that." Raven said, "I-I'm just saying…he didn't always act like that…."
"Any kindness that boy gave you, was nothing but a farce. He was simply grooming you so that your powers could manifest." Uriah said. Raven bit her lip, he was more than likely right. After all, what person in their right mind would ever fall for a girl like her, without an ulterior motive? Uriah, noticing the girl's somberness smiled.
"Do not be so down Raven, once you have your glamour charm, I'm sure you will find someone who will show you true love." He said kindly. Raven gave a small smile, before nodding and returning to her spot infront of the coffee table, with her book. Uriah, on the other hand, swiftly left the room. Once gone Cherie looked to Raven, his ears folded back in annoyance.
"That was not a very wise step." He scolded. Raven's eyes shifted, ashamed.
"I didn't mean to do it. It just happened. Lay off ok? He's the first guy to give me any kind of decency since…well….ever." She said reading through her book, "And who asked you anyway?"
Cherie growled, and flicked his tail. "No good may come of this."
Meanwhile outside the room, Uriah scowled as he once again found his fingers tracing his lips where Raven had suddenly kissed him. Such sensation wasn't foreign to him, he had manipulated many females into his grasp before, even some men—though he did not seek such romantic relations with them, merely a kinship with them—only to betray them and suck their aura's dry of magic capabilities. And Raven—like many of the women before her—would simply be yet another item among his collection.
'She's definitely much looser than your past female companions. Not at all like the Croatoan women.' His familiar hissed from his shoulder. Uriah rolled his eyes as he walked out of earshot of the human girl.
"Indeed. However, loose or not, it will change nothing once what she possesses is mine." He said, "Perhaps, I may keep her around once she is empty of magic. She is not an unattractive woman. I can always magically seal that mouth of hers."
'You are devious brother Uriah. I can only imagine the look on the pathetic girl's face once she realizes you have tricked her.' The snake said with a snickering like hiss, 'humans really aren't all that bright are they brother?'
"Hush Draco. Least she hear my plan. Not that it would really do her any good." The blue skinned Croatoan boy chuckled as he walked away, "when I'm finished even the glamour charm she's conjuring won't be of any use."

More time had passed since Raven had left him. Klarion was beginning to grow even more impatient. It was to the point that nothing was safe from his wrath, not Abra Kadabra, not innocent books that had been previously fixed with magic—nothing. He began scanning every inch of Gotham, with a large crystal ball he had conjured up, searching for even a slight trace of that wicked blue haired woman. Nothing.
He searched the next city, Metropolis. Still nothing.
Star City; nothing.
Jump City. Nothing.
Nothing
Nothing
NOTHING! There was no trace of her anywhere within any of the neighboring cities. Even the smallest cities or towns could he find that wretched woman! With his eyes everywhere, how could that simple human girl manage to slip from his view?! It was not possible! He had taught her everything she knew about magic, her aura was so overflowing he would have been able to pick it up even if she was across the country! Where the hell was she!?
In an angered huff, Klarion threw the mystic item away from him. It shattered upon hitting the wall adjacent from him. He then let out an angered shriek, throwing a fit over her lack of appearance. Not once had he ever been so angry, so vexed, by another living creature, that he would throw a tantrum like this. A sudden tightness grew in his chest. What was this sudden feeling? Klarion let out a hiss. If he ever found Raven, he was going to make sure, she never leaved him again.
so that's chapter 25. I hope you all liked it. FWO! This took a whole day to type up. Maybe cause I really wanted to get my mind off my failed project—which yes was taken down today.
Oh! To animenija1418, thank you so much for your reviews! They make me happy, and yeah spell check and grammer are my friend—sometimes. And your comment about Uriah, he's an actual character in the DC world. I thought it would be fun bringing him into this fanbase—however to do lack of research materials, I think he's become more of an OC with a real character's name. if you want you can look him up on google image. He appeared in a Zatanna comicbook. He looks just like Klarion only without the devil spikes.
