Chapter 27
HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYBODY!
Klarion- it's the first of November.
me- Shut it, I already know! I MISSED MY FAVORITE HOLIDAY! T^T Stupid flue, anyhow this is my late Halloween update! Why is it still my Halloween update you ask? Because I had already planned the dialogue for my A/N to be halloweenish but I missed out on my favorite holiday due to a sore throat and a friggin head ache. I even had a costume this year T^T 49.99 for a costume I didn't even get to wear. Screw you commercialized holidays! But enough of my griping and complaining. Oh! animeninja1418I didn't know you were from Australia! That is just too cool! ONWARD TO THE BATTLE FIELD!
Raven let out a low moan as she began to stir from her sleep. The night before she had the best sex she had ever had—granted she only ever had sex with two people in her life time, Klarion and some jerk who was using her—the point is, it was better. Uriah was gentle, unlike Klarion who left bruises and sometimes bite marks. Though for some reason, as sweet and gentle as it was, Raven felt so wrong. Even more so when she opened her eyes and saw that Uriah wasn't lying next to her. Instead there was Cherie, who sat on the empty side of the bed, giving her a look of disappointment. Raven let out a slight whine and hid back under the covers.
"You don't have to say it," Raven said in a small voice, "what am I doing? I just switch Witch-boys and I'm going to fall all over again."
Cherie sighed, "At least that spares me from having to tell you."
Raven nodded under the covers silently. Letting out a sigh of her own she got out of bed and put her clothes back on. The glamour charm she had made the day before was still in her pocket. She had planned on using it to stay out of Klarion's sight, until he had moved on. Raven dove her hand into her left pocket, fingering the blackened stone—the same color as her magical aura. She looked at her white and black familiar who stared back at her, silently flicking his tail as he waited for her.
"Let's go Cherie." She mumbled, picking up the former stray. Cherie mewed.
"What of the snake boy?" he asked. Raven shrugged.
"I'll just…explain to him that what happened was a bad idea." She said walking to the door, "I'm sure he feels the same way…I mean…he's a nice guy."
"Nothing good can come from this…" Cherie grumbled.

Uriah sat in his study, looking over a very large book that sat on his desk. It was old, another leather bound book, that hadn't been touched in some time. This time however was a special occasion, one that required that exact spell book which held a very particular spell. Even though he knew the incantation, and ritual by heart by now, it was a bit of a nostalgic feeling to reread the spell. It brought back memories of times gone, when he had tricked others like Raven either into his bed, or into their graves—sometimes both. The memories of those times brought a macabre smile to his face.
"Uriah…" Raven's voice cut through his nostalgia like a jagged knife. His smirk dropped for but a moment into a bitter glare, before he put on his genuine fake smile. He then turned to face Raven as she stood in the door way, her arms placed across her chest in an uncomforted manor and her eyes staring at the ground.
"Yes Raven? Did you sleep well?" he asked. Raven's eyes shifted up toward him. She noticed his shirt was still unbuttoned, exposing his pale blue hued chest.
"Yeah…uhm…look Uriah…a-about last night…" She mumbled, Uriah's smile drooped for a moment as Raven fumbled for the right words, "I think what happened last night was a mistake."
Uriah said nothing, as he cocked an eyebrow and listened to what Raven would say next. Part of him was a little entertained by the human girl's ramblings, humans from the blue rafters were such interesting creatures to him. Especially the ones that hailed from the city of Gotham; where Batman and his brats lurked in every corner, aiding the likes of things such as Klarion.
"I just think…we both sort of slipped up, yaknow? I mean, I just got out of a crazy relationship. I don't want to get into a new one right away." Raven continued, not noticing her audience's mind had drifted off elsewhere. "It's not fair to you, I mean, you're a great guy, and if we hooked up it'd just make you look like the rebound guy."
Uriah was silent as Raven gave him an unsure look. After an awkward silence Raven retrieved the charm from her back pocket.
"S-so…I think it would be best…if…we don't talk to each other for a while." She said, "I finished my glamour charm, so as promised I'm just gonna get out of your hair. I'll just set up shop somewhere in Metropolis or something…or maybe some place that doesn't have so many costume heroes…"
Uriah's brows rose at the last statement. He tilted his head down a bit until he was giving Raven an upward glance as he pursed his lips.
"Oh…I think not." He said in a slightly dark tone of voice, Raven stood up straight.
"W-what?" she mumbled, put off by his sudden change of tone. Uriah stood from his chair, closing the large and dusty book as he did so.
"I said no, you're not leaving." He said an evil grin stretched across his lips. Raven glared at him, her stance going from surprised to defiant.
"Y-you can't keep me here!" she shouted. She suddenly felt threatened by this person. He changed, his demeanor, his tone, everything. It was all suddenly threatening. Especially when he began to advance toward her.
"Oh, but I can." He said taking a step toward Raven, she shrank back, "You see Raven, while you slept so soundly in my bed, I placed a nice barrier around my mansion, to keep you inside. You can't even open the front door, without my letting you."
Suddenly he was right in front of Raven, clutching her chin between his thumb and forefinger. He then forced Raven to look up at him, her once defiant glare had suddenly turned fearful. It humored him, as his grin widened.
"Best get used to being here my dead. You're mine now," He said, tightening his grip on Raven's face. "And there's nothing you, or that bastard Lord of Chaos, Klarion can do about it."
Raven gave a pained expression as his claw-like nails dug into her face. The expression seemed to give Uriah some kind of sick thrill, his evil smile widened; at that point he looked more like a blue Cheshire cat.
"Why…why are you doing this?" she mumbled.
"Why you ask? Oh that's quite the easy answer my dear. Come, let me explain, exactly why I am doing this." He said, releasing Raven's face and grabbing her by the arm. He led her out of his study, and down the hallway, "You see, I had been watching you for some time. Ever since your aura appeared across my crystal, I wanted what you had."
"What are you talking about? Let me go!" Raven shouted trying to pry Uriah's hand from around her arm. "Cherie!"
"Oh don't mock me Raven. I could just as easily destroy that infernal cat any time I choose." Uriah said, throwing open the door to Raven's room and forcing her in it. "The only reason it's even alive now is because I need you here."
"What could you possible want from me?!" Raven shouted, Uriah let out a laugh covering his face.
"Power of course you stupid girl! What else would I want from anyone from the blue rafters besides power?" He said with a twisted grin, "And you, Raven, have more than you could possibly know!"
Raven stared, fighting back the stinging pain of angry tears that threatened to spill from her deep blue eyes. The person she trusted, confided in, was now betraying her for her magical abilities. It was official, the world was playing some kind of sick joke on her. Every man she fell for ended up using her for something!
"Aw, what's wrong Raven?" Uriah said in a mock-sympathetic tone as he stepped toward her and grabbed her face between his hands, "Do you need more comfort?"
Raven went wide eyed and slapped him as she ripped herself away from him. He stumbled back a bit, grasping the place she had just smacked him. He then glared, and snatched Raven by the hair. He pulled her in close and glared down at her as he forced his lips on hers. Stealing away another kiss.
"Let me be clear to you Raven Blu," He said, tangling his fingers through her dark blue hair, "You belong to me, I can do to you as I please. If I want something from you, I will take it. For example, what happened the night before. If I so wish for it, it will happen."
"I'd rather kill myself than sleep with you ever again!" Raven hissed as she pulled her fist back and punched him in the side. This forced him to release her hair as he gripped his side instead. He let out a low chuckle.
"I see Klarion's appeal for you. You put up quite the fight, when you finally realize you've been deceived." He said, standing up straight, "and as for your suicide threat, by all means please do. It'll make it that much more easy for me to steal your magic from you."
Raven glared.
"Though I suppose it wouldn't do much for me if you died." He continued, placing his hand on his chin in thought, "If you were dead, I wouldn't be able to prove to Klarion how easy it was to snatch you away from him."
Raven let out a scream as she lunged at the witch boy as he turned and laughed, slamming the door behind him before she was able to do anything to harm him.
"You bastard! I trusted you!" Raven screamed, slamming her fists against the wooden door. "I TRUSTED YOU!"
Uriah grinned victoriously. Triumphant in his goal, he began to laugh heartily as he walked down the hall back to his study, ignoring Raven's screams of betrayal. He had finished the part of deception, there was no point in keeping that cheap façade around her any longer. Besides, soon he would have her power, then he'd be able to return in kind the very same humiliation Klarion had done unto him so many years ago.
So yeah, that was a short chapter. Sorry, to those who were hoping she'd actually hook up with Uriah, but yeah. He's a douche who's only going to make things worse on Raven's personality in the future. Oh that's going to be fun to type up :D sadly that's several chapters away from now. See ya later armadillo—unless I see you first. HAHA! REVIEW THOSE WHO DO WILL GET A VIRTUAL KISS FROM THEIR FAVORITE CHARACTER SO FAR!
Klarion-Not this again!
Cherie- are you completely bonkers?
me-Yes yes I am, why do you think I even make these kinds of fictions?
