Chapter 30

Last chapter, Cherie made it Gotham in order to find Zatanna to save his beloved master Raven, who is at the moment imprisoned by Uriah, another Croatoan witchboy who has some kind of personal vendetta out on Klarion. However in finding Zatanna he also found Klarion, who demanded to know where Raven was, and thanks to Teekl, he too now knows Uriah is behind Raven's disappearance. No it's a race to find out who will get to Raven first; the overly protective best friend? Or the over possessive ex boyfriend? Find out here! ONWARD TO THE BATTLE FIELD!

Without hearing any more of Cherie's protests to not intervene, Klarion left in search of Uriah and Raven. This left Cherie Curie with a horrible dreading feeling. He had avoided going to Klarion for the very reason that he would just end up hurting Raven once more. It was all Klarion's own fault Raven went running into Uriah's grasp in the first place. The night before Raven had left him, Klarion had forced himself onto her, injuring Cherie's beloved Raven, Physically, emotionally, and worst of all; Spiritually. Had he more strength, Cheire would have attempted to rip out his throat the moment he had seen him. Alas, he had been running for nearly an entire day to find Zatanna, and he lacked the strength to fight the Lord of Chaos.

Cherie paced back and forth waiting for Zatanna and Dick Grayson to return, he had to warn them that Klarion was now also on the search for Raven. It would now become a race to see who could find her first. If Zatanna found her it would mean Raven would most likely go to Belle Reve and serve out time for her crimes. If Klarion found her….it wouldn't end well.

"Where could that snake have gone to? I can't imagine Uriah would return to Limbo-Town, not after last time." Klarion grumbled returning home. He went straight to his sudy, and began searching through his books—books he rarely ever read—searching for a location spell that could find both Raven and that rat bastard Uriah. Once he found the right book he became magically flipping through the pages.

"I doubt he's anywhere here, I would have been able to sense Raven's aura miles away." He said, then let out a frustrated growl, "And what possible reason could he have for taking Raven in the first place?!"

"The same reason you sought after her perhaps?" Teekl mewed from his master's shoulders. Klarion paused, then suddenly began frantically looking through the pages of his book.

"I won't let that little imp, take what's mine!" he hissed, finally finding the spell he was looking for. It would allow him to find Raven regardless of where she was. Be it Gotham, or an alternate Gotham. Whatever the case may be, he would be able to locate Raven, and with a bit of luck teach Uriah a lesson. Or kill him, whichever came first. Honestly he didn't care. Uriah had proven to be a real thorn in Klarion's side in the past. Once with a Judgment beast—he had nearly lost Teekl because of that—and now with this; stealing what belongs to him.

Grabbing his crystal ball Klarion mumbled an incantation and black and red smoke. Turning the small glass orb a dark red color as it filled with his energy and a hint of Raven's magical trail. Why he didn't resort to that in the first place was beyond him. Perhaps because he thought that Raven would eventually return on her own. When the smoke cleared an image of a familiar dark blue haired girl, she was sitting in a chair in an empty bedroom that had no windows. Klarion scowled, now that he found out Raven was still alive—much to his relief—now he had to find out where this room was located. Another dimension perhaps? Only time would tell.

"I cannot wait to rip Uriah's throat out. I never did get that chance the last time we ran into the little bastard." Teekl hissed as Klarion opened a rift into the open air, creating a portal into the world of which Raven was being held captive.

"I just might let you do that this time Teekl." Klarion said, before stepping through the portal, "No one steals from me…"

"Are you sure you would not rather consort with the Justice League on the other Raven?" Starfire asked. She, Rachel Roth—aka Raven—M'gaan, and Superboy were contacted by Zatanna and Nightwing about the message they had received from Raven Blu's familiar Cherie Curie. They stood, in an alley—away from prying eyes—Zatanna had explained the situation to them all. That Raven had been visiting a confidant in another realm, and said confidant was now holding her captive.

"I don't want to involve the Justice league. If Raven were to see anyone from the JL, she would likely run before we could talk things out with her." Zatanna explained.

"Still though, we aren't just going to let her go after we do talk things out." Nightwing went on, "Once we've set things straight, we'll be sending Raven to Belle Reve."

Cherie—also being with the group—let out a low growl toward Nightwing. It was obvious that the familiar wasn't happy with the agreement, but seeing as he had no choice…he went along with it. So long as his dear master was safe. The group nodded.

"And seeing how now Klarion also knows what's going on," M'gaan went on, "We've got to hurry before things escalate out of hand any further."

"There's no telling what will happen with a lord of Chaos." Rachel grumbled. Zatanna nodded.

"Which is why, Rachel and I will be leading this mission." She said, looking over the group, "The rest of you are back up. In case something bad happen."

"Which, since this now involves Klarion something bad will happen." Superboy said.

"Do not worry. We will do everything in our power to keep the other Raven out of the Witch-boy's hands!" Starfire shouted.

"And Uriah's." Rachel said, then mumbled her incantation. It ripped through the very fabric of space, allowing the group to travel directly to Raven—which thanks to a combination of Cherie Curie, and Rachel Roth, they were able to pull off.

"Remember, stay close. We don't know what we'll be going into. This is another world, there's no telling what kind of creatures will be lurking." She then said, "Stay close, and stay on guard."

Silently, everyone nodded as they stepped through. Ready for anything that might be waiting for them on the other side.

Raven sat in her room. She refused to let Uriah anywhere near her until Cherie returned with help. She still couldn't believe Cherie Curie actually managed to get through. She only hoped that he would be able to return with help before Uriah was ready to do his ritual. There was no way in hell she was going to become a member of that creep's freaky harem!

"Please hurry Cherie…" She mumbled, biting her fingernails to nonexistence. If much more time passed, they were going to run out of time. Raven didn't really care who Cherie went to for help—well so long as it wasn't Klarion—if he showed up, she'd just end up falling for him all over again. Then she'd be back to her old habits. She didn't want any of that. Not if it meant getting hurt again. However, she didn't plan on turning herself in. Of course, all her plans now were thrown out the moment Uriah turned out to be a traitor. Just like all the men in her life. No good, lousy—

A sudden creek of the door startled Raven and shook her from her thoughts. She stood. On instinct her palms lit up with black electricity. Ready in case Uriah decided to move his plans up to today, and suck out all her magic. If that were the case she sure as well wasn't going to go down without a fight. If she could she would at the very least, scar the blue faced bastard, for lying and tricking her. She wasn't any kind of damsel in distress! As the door opened Raven balled her hands into fists, intensifying the voltage in her hands. When the door opened Raven unleashed her full fury, sending her ball of electricity at the door. Uriah stepped out from behind the door. Eyebrows cocked he inspected the place where Raven had scorched the wood.

"My, that was certainly unexpected." He said calmly. Raven glared, her eyes turning a demonic crimson.

"Will it be unexpected when I electrocute you!?" She hissed, her finger tips sparking once more. Uriah paused, then with a flick of the wrist sent Raven flying towards the wall, then enchanted the curtains from the window to wrap around her wrists and ankles keeping her tight against the wall.

"I'm not very big on electrocution myself." He said snidely. Raven let out a low growl as she struggled against her bonds.

"You're a real ass you know that!?" She shouted, trying to free herself against the enchanted curtains. However the more she struggled the tighter they became. Uriah placed his hands behind his back as he walked up to her and grinned.

"Sticks and stones my dear." He said as he lifted his hand and began stroking Raven's cheek with his fingers. Raven cringed.

"You better pray I don't get out of this mess." She said in a dark tone, "Because if I do, I'm going to drag your sorry ass to HELL!"

"Such mighty threats from such a small human girl. If you plan to do anything about it, you'd better hope that mangy feline of yours find the right help for you soon." Uriah said, Raven went wide eyed. He knew? But how?

"Of course I knew Raven." He said turning his back to the dark blue haired girl, "You think I'd be so foolish as to think something like that wouldn't cross your mind?"

"You bastard! If you touch one hair on my cat—"

"Please, if had done anything to that flea bitten feline, you'd be the first to know. after all you'd feel the very same pain he did." Uriah interrupted, "No. I let him go. What purpose would it serve me to take your magic, if Klarion weren't around to witness it."

"Yaknow you have a real sick obsession with my ex!" Raven shouted, Uriah scowled.

"Wouldn't you obsess over someone who humiliated you?" He asked calmly. Raven managed a slight shrug.

"I did. I'm over it….sorta." She mumbled, referring to Zatanna, "Either way you have a sick obsession and you need to get over it! Besides, Cherie isn't even gonna go looking for him! And even if he did….Klarion would come after me anyway…"

Uriah looked over his shoulder at Raven, who had a look of despair on her face. He huffed.

"Believe me woman, even if the cat doesn't go looking for him, I know Klarion. He always finds out what he wants to eventually." He said, "It's really only a matter of time before he shows up to my door step. Demanding his little human toy. That's you, by the way, in case you forgot."

Raven glared at him and let out a scream of anger, as she fought harder against her bonds. "You fucking asshole! When I get free from here I'm going to kill you! In the most painful way possible! You jerk!"

"Nothing but hollow threats," He said, "You'll grow out of that soon, and perhaps become a bit more….submissive."

After a short pause Raven still glared. Uriah—satisfied that he had won the situation—began to walk away, leaving Raven tied to the wall.

"Hey Uriah…" Raven said calmly. Uriah paused and looked over his shoulder with narrowed eyes. Raven smirked evily and raised her middle finger, "Fuck you."

"If you'll recall, you did." Uriah said then walked off. Raven glared and once again let out an angered scream.

When the group of heroes finally reappeared it was in the middle of a dark and creepy wood. The trees seemed all but dead, with little to no foliage on them. Creepy, scary looking it was if the forest itself was alive, with rough images of faces in the trees. Sounds of creatures, flying above them in the sky, perched atop of creepy trees, and small slithering creatures on the ground with them. Rachel scowled as a four eyed black bird flew over head.

"This place is most strange." Starfire announced, "How will we ever find Other Raven in this place?"

Zatanna looked to M'gaan who nodded silently to her. she then remove Cherie Curie from her shoulders and held him up to eye level.

"Alright Cherie Curie, you're mentally linked to the others." She said, "You got out of here once, can you lead us to Raven?"

Cherie mewed in response then squirmed out of Zatanna's grip and landed on his feet on the ground. He then paused, he was in such a hurry to get out and get help, he had forgotten the way to Uriah's mansion. This did not stop him however, as he put his nose to the ground.

"Cat's sniff?" Superboy asked. Cherie made a sound that was similar to a groan.

'It's not very often, we felines have a bit more dignity than your average dog.' He thought, 'Do try and keep up boy of steal.'

Superboy scowled in response to the small white and black cat's insult. Cherie mewed again and ran off ahead of the group, hopefully in the direction of his beloved master Raven.

"Remember, we don't know what to expect here. Do not let your guard down." Rachel said as she hovered above the others while following Cherie.

"If anything does decide to pop up I'm sure we can handle it." Superboy said walking straight ahead. Rachel scowled and looked to Nightwing.

"Are all kryptonians like this?" she asked coldly. Nightwing didn't answer and stayed close to Zatanna in case anything happened to her or the familiar.

Meanwhile not far ahead from where the group teleported to, Klarion also appeared. He looked around and scowled. Uriah always had a flare for the dramatic side. Everything looked like something out of Raven's gothic picture books. Teekl mewed from atop his master's shoulders.

"We can get Cherie Curie back from Baby magic later." Klarion responded, "Right now I've got a bone to pick with Uriah. I'm going to make him regret stealing what belongs to me."

This took me way too long to complete. Sigh, I've not been in the mood for fanficting as of late. I'm in a bit of a slump in my writing lately, sorry about that. This means I have no idea when chapter 31 will be up—or actually I guess it'd be 32 since I added that short chapter with my announcement. Sigh…but on a lighter note HAPPY EARLY TURKEY DAY! See you later armadillos—unless I see you first! HAHA! REVIEW!
