Chapter 31

Ok, so I'm pretty sure this chapter might seem a bit rushed. I need to go rewatch and stare at all my Klarion images for inspiration. Or if anyone knows of any really good Klarion fanfiction, it'd be nice to know about them :D anyhow ONWARD TO THE BATTLE FIELD!

"Let me go! You lying, blue faced, jerk!" Raven shouted as Uriah dragged her by the arm, out of the room she was in. Uriah ignored her protests even as she struggled against his grip, "Let go!"

"Your voice is getting on my last nerve woman." He growled, tightening his grip on Raven's arm. Raven glared.

"Good! You sadistic witchboy!" She shouted as she forced the heel of her shoe on Uriah's foot. Uriah let out a growl of pain as he released Raven and she took off down the hall. Uriah glared after her as she made a futile run for an exit. She was beginning to be more of a pain to deal with than he originally thought. Perhaps he should have waited to let his façade of kindness down. It would have at least spared him of her more recent attempt to escape him. It was as if she had forgotten all about the barrier he had set to keep her inside. It was actually quite funny for him to watch, knowing full well he could catch up to her at any time. It was like a game of cat and mouse; only replaced with a cat, and a very large snake.

Raven ran down the halls, not really thinking of where she was going, so long as she was away from Uriah. She'd gone through too much and had worked too hard to let her magic be stolen by some pompous witchboy who had some kind of weird complex for Klarion. What was his deal with him anyway? Whatever it was it had nothing to do with her. Once she decided she was far enough away from Uriah, Raven stopped to catch her breath. She sighed. For the first time in recent days, she was really beginning to miss Klarion. It was a sad thought indeed, but if what Uriah said was true, and Klarion did somehow find out about her capture…would he really come after her? If he did, would that mean that he really did love her?

"Why does this sort of thing have to be…so hard to figure out?" She mumbled as she leaned against the wall behind her. she scowled, if Klarion had just told her to begin with none of this would have happened! It was all his fault! "Oh who am I kidding? I'm the one who fell for that stupid 'you can trust me' line."

"True, that you did." Uriah's voice said behind her. Raven jumped back and held up her hands, that were glowing with black sparks of electricity.

"Stay away from me! You psychotic jerk!" She shouted.

"And here I thought you enjoyed psychotics." He said with a dark smirk. Raven glared, "You're wasting your time and energy. You cannot escape my home the barrier will see to that, now you can either come with me willingly, or I can find a much more painful way to make you more compliant."

"I'm not going anywhere with you! You make me sick!" She screamed, Uriah's smirk widened as he snatched Raven by the hair.

"I was rather hoping you'd choose the latter." He said, Raven struggled painfully as Uriah dragged her down the hall, all the while chuckling to himself evilly.

"It is most strange. It would seem as though the spooky woods do not hold any creatures in which to fight." Starfire said to the others as she floated above them to keep an eye out for monsters. Below her Zatanna and the others walked on the ground.

"Normally I'd be thankful that there aren't any creatures, but Starfire's right. This really is unusual." Rachel said, "It's almost too easy."

"Think we stumbled into a trap?" Nightwing asked reaching for his belt. Zatanna and the others also readied themselves in case they in fact had run straight into a trap. Rachel raised her hand stopping the others from doing anything.

"No, I don't think so." She said, "I don't think Uriah knows we're coming."

"What makes you say that?" Conner asked.

"Because he's expecting me." A familiar, and unwelcomed whinny voice said above them. The group looked up to see Klarion sitting Indian style in the air, with his chin resting in the palm of his hand and his freehand stroking his cat familiar. He looked down at the group of heroes and grinned sadistically, "Hello baby magic."

Zatanna glared, readying herself for an attack. How long had Klarion been there, hovering over them? The sick little creep. He probably stayed out of sight the whole time. Waiting for something to come out and kill everyone. Klarion pouted a bit, before stretching out his legs and slowly floating to the ground.

"Oh don't give me that look Zatanna. You all knew I was coming." He said holding Teekl in his arms, "I doubt very much Cherie Curie kept his mouth shut about it."

From the ground Cherie hissed up at the witchboy.

"Stay out of this Klarion. Raven Blu has nothing to do with you." Rachel said, Klarion scowled at the half demon girl.

"You really don't know much about the situation do you?" he asked, "let me inform you. All of you. Raven blu, is mine. She belongs to me. And while she's against killing baby magic over here, I have no problem slaughtering anyone who get's in my way. Especially Uriah."

"Raven doesn't belong anyone." Nightwing said, "least of all you."

"From what I heard, she dumped you." Conner grumbled. Klarion's eyes lit with anger as well as his palms as Teekl jumped from his arms.

"Raven did no such thing! You're miss informed!" Klarion shouted angrily.

"We don't have time for this!" Zatanna shouted, stepping between Klarion and Conner, "Raven's in trouble. If you fight against us, Klarion that just give Uriah more time to suck the life out of Raven."

Klarion let out a low growl as she extinguished the flames in his palms. "…I suppose you might be right. Baby Magic."

"It might be better for us, if we all teamed up." Nightwing offered. The group all stopped and stared at the masked boy. Klarion let out a laugh.

"That has to be the dumbest idea I've heard all day!" He shouted.

"I agree with witchboy." Zatanna said sternly, glaring daggers at Klarion who glared right back at her. Nightwing pinched the bridge of his nose with his thumb and forefinger.

"Hear me out first you guys." he said, "This Uriah person has no idea we're coming to find Raven. He's expecting you, Klarion. He's going to be prepared."

"Hmph, I'm a Lord of Chaos, no one is a match to me. Especially not Uriah." Klarion huffed crossing his arms. Cherie Curie hissed at him from the ground.

"It's that attitude that got Raven into trouble to begin with you spoiled little brat!" Zatanna shouted, balling up her fists to keep her anger toward the witchboy at bay.

"Nightwing is right. If we are both after the same goal." Starfire said standing by Nightwing's side, "We should fight together, and save Other Raven."

"I won't help Klarion get Raven into even deeper trouble than she's already in!" Zatanna shouted. She then pointed to Klarion, "It's because of him we have to save Raven in the first place!"

"What makes you think it's my fault." Klarion asked narrowing his eyes into a warning glare toward Zatanna.

"If you hadn't showed Raven how to use her abilities she wouldn't be in this mess! It's your fault she turned evil, it's because of you that she killed all those people, and it's your fault this Uriah guy is after her now!"

"I think you need to back away now." Klarion huffed flicking his wrist to send Zatanna back into a tree. Zatanna glared as the others readied themselves for another attack.

"While I can't exactly argue the situation with Uriah—that was a miscalculation on my part—"

"Since when does chaos think before it acts." Zatanna spat. Klarion glared.

"—You're not exactly innocent in this either, Baby Magic." He hissed, "It was your choice to lie to Raven about who you were, making her think there were no secrets between friends, and your choice to continue to lie to her after what Nabu did to her. And I very much doubt you're going to let her go after you find her. are you?"

"Raven has crimes to pay for. Murder and destruction aren't things you can just get away with." M'gaan said. Klarion stood straight, and held out his arms.

"I think I am a perfect example that says otherwise!" He said with a wicked grin. Cherie hissed.

"This is getting us nowhere!" Rachel shouted, "Every moment we waste in this pointless fight puts Raven closer to possible death. If we're going to team up we need to do it now."

"Rachel you can't be serious…" Zatanna said. Rachel glared.

"Tch, I have enough magic to send Uriah back to Limbo-town. I don't need your help." Klarion hissed.

"If that were the case, why did it take you this long to realize she was in danger?" Rachel asked in her normal monotone voice. Klarion glared, stepping past the group to stand directly in front of the otherworldly girl.

"Watch yourself demon bitch." He hissed.

"I'm not afraid of you." Rachel said back.

"You will be, once you realize just how much power I have." Klarion said darkly, Rachel scowled as she side stepped and walked away from him.

"Then are we, Teamed up, now?" Starfire asked.

"Yup." Rachel said plainly. Klarion paused, and looked back at the purple haired girl as she flipped her hood up. How did she manage to manipulate that situation? From the ground Teekl meowed up at him.

"Shut it you stupid cat." He hissed, then followed the rest of the group toward Uriah's manor. It didn't matter. this way he could killed two birds with one stone. All he had to do was sit back and let Uriah kill off the baby heroes, then Klarion would destroy Uriah, and Raven would be all his. Forever.

Rachel Roth managed to manipulate Chaos into teaming up. Please don't pick at that. I needed to do something otherwise we'd all be going around in circles then no one would be happy. Hope you enjoyed that chapter. My brain tired so I'm gonna go lie down. See you later armadillos—unless I see you first! Haha! REVIEW!
