Chapter 32

Hey People! It's been so long since I managed to upload! Sorry! I hadn't been in any mood to type, and now that I have I made this chapter especially long. Cause I didn't want to chop it up. Anyway, last chapter Klarion and the heroes teamed up—thanks to a little manipulation on Rachel Roth's part—and now they're off to see the witchboy, the one who kidnapped Raven! Yaknow I think I enjoy making Raven my own personal Princess Peach XP ONWARD TO THE BATTLE FIELD!

The group of heroes—and Klarion—walked through the dark woods. Zatanna kept a close eye on Klarion, knowing full well if something happened it would more than likely be his doing. He was chaos personified after all. There was no trusting him. Especially when it came to Raven. No matter what happened with Uriah, she wasn't going to allow Klarion to take her back with him.

"Is there a reason you're staring?" Klarion growled, leering toward the magician woman. Zatanna shook her head and said nothing. No matter her quarrel with Klarion, Raven needed help, that required that the team work with Klarion. The very bastard that put Raven in this situation. In Zatanna's arms Raven's cat familiar, Cherie Curie, growled at Klarion.

"Hmph, well whatever," Klarion huffed, sticking his nose up in the air, "We're not far from Uriah and Raven. I can feel my Raven's magic, though it's muffled."

As Klarion spoke the group came upon a large mansion. It was massive, and had a dark aura hanging around it, as well as a veil or violet energy. The group stared, and Starfire flew into the air and began to fly around to see if there was some way to get inside without being seen. When she came back she landed in front of Nightwing and the others.

"It is a force field of some kind?" She said with a questioning tone, "I could not find any weak point in the home's defense."

"Well duh," Klarion said in an exasperated voice, "Any idiot with even a small bit a magical knowledge can tell this kind of barrier is meant to keep something in. Not out. Stupid girl."

Starfire gave the devil haired boy a glare as her eyes lit up green as she moved toward him. As she did Conner and Nightwing grabbed her to hold her back, while she let out a string of what was most likely Tameranian curse words. Klarion raised his brows and pursed his lips.

"What's her problem?" He asked, either unaware or simply not caring that he had just insulted the alien girl. Rachel and Zatanna narrowed their eyes at Klarion, then directed their attention toward the large house.

"Except for the insults, the witch-boy's right." Zatanna said.

"I can feel Raven's aura inside, but something's off about it." Rachel mumbled, Klarion rolled his eyes, and stepped forward.

"Step aside, demon brat." He growled, Teekl jumped from the witchboy's arms to his shoulders as Klarion spread his arms and a nasty little grin graced his lips, "Let me show you what the power of a Lord of Chaos can d—"

Klarion was cut off by Zatanna knocking into him and forcing him to the ground. Klarion glared up at the magician woman, who glared back in response.

"The hell was that for baby magic!?" he shouted. Zatanna scowled.

"We want an element of surprise here, remember?" She growled, "For that to happen you can't go off the handle and announce your presence!"

Klarion rolled his eyes and stood, "Then what do you, baby heroes suggest."

"Ok, first of all, all adults here," Nightwing said, "Well, except you who looks like he's still going to highschool."

Klarion narrowed his eyes.

"Second; We don't know what to expect from this other witchboy, who you seem to have a history with, so why don't you tell us what we're up against." He continued. The others nodded.

"Yes, tell us, with whom are we going to be fighting against?" Starfire asked.

"It would be nice, not being in the dark. If we're going to be working together to save Raven." M'gaan said crossing her arms. Klarion scratched the top of Teekl's head and gave a small pout.

"Alright fine, Uriah and I do have a history." He began, "He's a cannibal, devouring power when he sees it. He wants nothing more that to take control of my world, and maybe even yours. God only knows why really. He'd make an ideal member of the Light—if he wasn't so damned egotistical and power hungry—and sometime in the past we had a run in. He kidnapped my familiar in order to make a Judgment Beast."

"Judgment Beast?" Superboy questioned, Klarion let out an exasperated sigh.

"Yes, a Judgment Beast, a creature compromised of several different types of Draaga animals." He explained, "Long story short, he stole my cat and I ended his attempt to take over my world. Are we done?"

"Ok…" Nightwing mumbled, "I think I've got a plan."

"Oh great, the boy wonder has a plan." Klarion said dryly, the group glared at him, "Sorry, that was automatic."

Nightwing, ignoring the witchboy's sarcastic comment, gave him a look, "Just distract Uriah, we'll get Raven out and away from him."

"And away from me no doubt!" Klarion hissed, "Do you think I'm going to let you take away what's mine?"

"A; Raven doesn't belong to you," Zatanna growled back at him, "And B; you think she's going to go back with you after how you've treated her the past, what three years?!"

"Hmph, shows what you know. Raven's hopelessly devoted to me, and me alone." Klarion said smugly.

"Oh yeah, that's why she ran to Uriah, the magic stealing, ego-witchboy, who—so happens—to have a decade old grudge against you." Miss Martian said, Klarion opened his mouth to speak, but Teekl meowed instead. Klarion shut his mouth after that, having nothing more to say, and not wanting to translate his cat. Miss Martian gave a harsh nod.

"That's what we thought." She spat. Klarion glared.

"She'll still come with me." he grumbled, Zatanna balled up her fist in anger and went to sucker punch the witchboy in the eye, when Starfire flew between them.

"Please, friend, do not fight. The boy witch is not our enemy at the moment." She said, holding Zatanna's balled up fist, "Please, reserve your anger for the one hurting our friend. He is the one who you should be fighting."

"Starfire has a point, there's no sense in fighting when we all have the same goal." Rachel then, then turned to Nightwing, "What's your plan?"

Uriah looked to Raven as she lied on a stone table. He had put her to sleep—mostly to shut her up from her cursing and insults—and she lied there chained to the carved stone that had many different markings on it. Magic symbols from all over the world and other worlds had been carved into it, making this slab of rock, Uriah's own sacrificial stone. He had used it on many other's before the blue haired little goth girl, and she certainly wouldn't be the last. Raven was out cold, her eyes closed and her hands chained above her head, and her feet bound together on the other end, her pose mirrored that of Christ when he was crucified. Though he had no intentions of killing her, even without her magic she could remain useful to him. Uriah narrowed his eyes at the unconscious woman, in order to add a bit of theatric flair to his little show, he had forced her into a crimson red dress—he would have chosen white, but seeing as how things played out with her, he didn't see her as the innocent type.

Hopefully it would entice the desired emotion from Klarion—for whom this little show was mostly for. A sudden shift of magic in the air caused a smile to cross his face. He looked away from Raven in her sacrificial clothing and gazed toward the area he could feel the magical aura that was practically demanding his presence. Uriah's smirk widened into a grin as his evil excitement swelled.

"Well then Raven," He said, casting one last look toward the red dressed girl, "Let the show begin."

Meanwhile, further away, in the entry hall of Uriah's massive home, Klarion was practically—no—literally tearing the building apart, as he searched for Raven and the blue faced bastard who had taken her. though he looked calm as he walked, his expression—as well as the random objects, ceiling, and floor boards flying out of place—spoke the truth to his emotions. He was livid, and he was going to tear the whole mansion to splinters in order to find his favorite little play thing.

"URIAH!" He finally shouted, no longer able to sedate his anger with simply tearing the place apart. He wanted more, he wanted revenge, he wanted Uriah burned at the stake, but mostly, he wanted what belonged to him. Raven.

"Uriah you magic cannibal! Show yourself so that I can rip your head from your shoulders!" He screeched, flicking his wrist and forcing a once closed door off its hinges. From his shoulders, Teekl mewed at him, warning the Lord of Chaos to mind his temper, lest he end up hurting Raven while searching. Klarion let out an angry sigh, when suddenly he felt a familiar aura. The darker than black, pure hatred, aura that could belong to no one other than Raven. His Raven. Eyes burning with anger, Klarion flew towards the direction he could feel her presence. As he got closer, he could feel Raven's presence begin to waver and wilt away, like the magic was being drained out of her. this of course only angered the devil haired, Lord of Chaos. So much so, that when he found the two, he froze.

Uriah stood, looming over Raven—who was still unconscious—his back to Klarion, and a ball of pure black energy floating above his right hand. Klarion glared, he didn't have to see Uriah to know he already had a victorious grin on his face. The blue complexioned witchboy lifted his head and stared off toward oblivion, a dark chuckle escaped his lips before he spoke.

"Here I was beginning to think you wouldn't show, Klarion." He said, then finally looked back at Klarion, and sure enough, the victorious grin was ever present on the bastard's smug face, "I'm very glad you came to witness as I absorbed your little mate's magic."

As he spoke, the black energy ball shrunk in size, until it was none existent, and Uriah's violet aura was mixed with Raven's black one. Klarion glared.

"You…I'm going to end your miserable life!" he shouted, forming a ball of fire between his hands. When it was the size of a softball he shot it a Uriah who rose his hand to eye level, stopping the ball of red flame in its path.

"My, my aren't you the testy one." He said with a smirked, then flicked his wrist and sent it right back at Klarion. It collided with him and shot him backward through a wall, which caved in on itself upon impact. Uriah looked at his hands as they glowed with both his and Raven's magic and smirked as he leisurely walked toward Klarion.

"Oh, how wonderful. The little whore's power is even stronger than I originally imagined." He said, looking at Klarion who glared up at him from the rubble. Uriah knelt down and looked him in the eyes, "You did a fine job polishing Raven's power, I couldn't have done better myself. Well I could, but what would the fun be in that?"

Suddenly Uriah turned as a blur of orange colored fur raced toward him. He threw out his hands as his Draaga snake, Draco, shot out from his sleeves and wrapped the monstrous Teekl within its grip. Uriah tsked.

"Now I believe that's a bit of cheating, don't you?" He asked, holding his hand above his head as he raised Klarion out of the rubble, and into the air.

"I've been waiting a long time for this Klarion Bleak, waiting to get my revenge on you, and now, I will have it." He said, holding Klarion in the air. Klarion—silently—glared at Uriah for a moment, then his gaze shifted toward Raven who lied unconscious on the stone table. Uriah, noting this, smiled evilly. "I feel like adding a bit of insult to injury here."

"What the hell is that supposed to mean?" Klarion finally spoke.

"Oh so you can speak. Here I thought I'd miss out on your clever little quips and banter." Uriah said with a dark chuckle, "You really did a number on that girl you know. Abandoning her to that horrible realm, had I not been roaming around that world, she may have died. So, it's really all your fault this happened."

"I didn't do anything wrong!"

"Really? From what she told me, you abused her, abandoned, and even thought to steal her magic for your own—but I beat you to that didn't I?" Uriah said, then chuckled, "It's no wonder she trusted me so easily. Then again, women aren't the brightest things in the world."

Klarion's glare intensified as he broke free from Uriah's hold and launched after him. Tackling him to the ground and pinning him.

"I'm going to kill you!" He shouted, wrapping his hands around Uriah's throat. Uriah narrowed his eyes and smirked.

"Oh, that's so threatening," He said, then through his hands out, pushing Klarion back, "Let me rephrase that. It would be, if I wasn't kicking the hell out of you at the moment."

With the flick of his wrists Uriah sent a wave of electricity toward the Lord of Chaos. He let out an evil laugh as black electricity coursed through his rival's body. "I know understand why Raven enjoys electrocution so much. It really is fun! HA!"

Klarion glared, the pain from the electrical torture was insane, but he was determined to sit it through. So long as it gave the baby heroes enough time to retrieve Raven. Then it'd just be a matter of ending this fight with Uriah and retrieving Raven's magical aura back from him. Ignoring the pain, Klarion stood and threw a ball of fire at Uriah, missing him by a few inches, but singeing his doublet. Uriah paused, and pursed his.

"Tell me Klarion, what exactly are you angry about?" Uriah asked, a crazed look in his eye as he stopped his torture and made himself busy by dodging Klarion's flamed attacks. "Is it that I manipulated you? That I stole your girlfriend? Or that I beat you to her powers? Or better yet, that I bedded her?"

Klarion froze in his tracks, "You…did what?"

"Did I not mention that previously?" Uriah asked nonchalantly, then feigned sympathy, "My bad."

Meanwhile the others had managed to slip into the building without being detected. Thankfully Klarion was doing a good job of distracting Uriah from feeling their presence. Cherie led the way, tracking the scent of his partner throughout the house. finally they found Raven still unconscious and still chained to the carved stone table. Cherie jumped up on the stone, mewing as he nuzzled his sleeping master.

"Is she…" Starfire dared not finish her thought.

"I don't hear a heartbeat." Conner mumbled, Zatanna looked back and gave a fierce glare at the boy of steal.

"She's still alive," Rachel said in her normal monotonic voice. "I can feel her life lines, but, her magic. It's all gone. We were too late to stop him from taking it. I'm sorry Zatanna."

"I don't care," Zatanna said, lifting her hands toward Raven, "Kaerb eth sniahc. She was never supposed to know about magic anyway."

Suddenly Raven's eyes opened. She nearly screamed if Zatanna hadn't slapped her hand over her mouth. So instead of a scream—more than likely from anger—all that came out was a muffled curse. She glared, as Zatanna removed her hand and she sat up.

"The hell? Mary? What the fuck are you doing here?" She hissed, then looked around, "Wait, how the hell did you even find me?"

Cherie mewed, causing the dark blue haired woman to turn to him, "Cherie, when I said get help, I didn't mean—oh…"

Raven held her head, a sudden feeling of dizziness hitting her like a ton of bricks. She groaned as she propped herself up.

"Easy Rae, you might be a little dizzy right now." Zatanna said, placing her hands on her former friend's shoulder. "What happened do you remember?"

"Fucking witchboy, stole my magic…" She groaned as she tried to piece together what the hell was going on then she noticed her strange attire, "The hell? Did he change me in my sleep?!"

"Uh yeah back to the task at hand here…" Conner offered. Raven narrowed her eyes as she covered her chest with her arms.

"Oh save it! You're not the one who was groped in their sleep!" She hissed.

"Actually, Rae, we really should get you out of here." Zatanna said, helping Raven stand up off the stone table. Cherie meowed and hopped onto her shoulders, when suddenly Klarion and Uriah crashed through the room. Klarion was atop Uriah, his fingers sparking with red electricity as he wrapped his other hand around Uriah's neck, Uriah himself simply smirked—completely unaffected by the lord of Chaos's attempts to harm him. The two were deeply distracted by their fight to notice the group in the room.

"What's wrong Klarion? I would have thought you'd be a bit angrier that I used your girlfriend to get to you." Uriah spat, grinning like a madman, "Maybe I was wrong and the little whore means nothing to you. It doesn't even feel as though you're trying."

You think anything you've done these past few days have had any effect on me at all?" Klarion shouted, "You really don't know a thing about my relationship with Raven Blu do you?"

At the mention of her name Raven tilted her head in curiosity. Was this going to be the moment Klarion finally admitted his feelings for her? it was a long shot, but so much of her just wanted so badly to hear him say that he loved her. Even if it was a heat of the moment sort of thing, she just wanted to hear it. However the words that came from Klarion's mouth wasn't what she expected at all.

"Raven blu, is nothing more than a toy. The only reason I care that you have her is because everything, about her belongs to me!" He shouted, "and that includes this power you've stolen…"

With those words something inside Raven snapped. Her pupils narrowed into slits and a deep blood red filled her eyes, much as it did when she had her magic, tears began to flow, staining her face with black streaks*. How it was possible, no one seemed to know. As a heavy, thick, rage filled aura flowed into the air, making it hard to breathe—at least for the magically inclined anyway. It was then that Klarion and Uriah looked up to notice the group. Klarion let out a curse, as Raven wove her hand in the air and sent him flying backwards. Uriah stared, and stood, trying to shuffle away before she turned her sights on him. Unfortunately for him, Raven aimed for him first.

"You…" She growled, her voice echoing with power as she began to be surrounded by thick black smoke-like aura, "NONE OF YOU CAN BE TRUSTED!"

As her voice boomed, everyone was blown back ward. Uriah stared down at the scorned woman, a mix of anger, confusion, and a hint of fear covered his face as he glared at the small pale tanned Goth girl.

"But how?! I took your power!" He shouted, struggling against Raven's power. On the other end of the room, the group of young heroes wondered the same question. Raven narrowed her eyes.

"Hell hath no fiery..." She said simply as a hissing noise was heard. Raven's eyes shifted as Uriah's Draaga snake, Draco, shot out toward her. He was caught, mid strike, by Cherie who was in his saber form. Raven looked to Uriah, who glared in response, as she balled her hands into fists and her eyes turned an even deeper shade of crimson.

"Cherie," she hissed, catching the cat's attention, "Kill Uriah's familiar."

Uriah's eyes widened a little in surprise. He had underestimated the human witchgirl. Raven's expression unwavering in her anger and determination to end her encounter with Uriah, and all witchpeople, as her eyes shifted to her familiar. He gave a questioning stare, which was returned by a cold one. Uriah, struggled harder, using every ounce of magic and power he had gained to escape. Failing her glared at Raven once more, but it soon dissolved into a crazed smile.

"Why you clever little—" before he was able to finish his insult Cherie clamped his jaws down on his familiar, killing it, and sending Uriah back to his world. Once gone Raven released the others from her magical grip, and held out her arms for Cherie. Her eyes not returning to their natural sapphire blue as she turned to leave. She was stopped by someone's hand wrapping around her arm. Raven looked over her shoulder to see her devil haired ex.

"Raven, whatever you heard today, it was a lie," He said, trying to cover up his misspoken words, "Uriah he's a snake and—"

He was cut off by Raven's silent and intense glare, as she tore her arm from his grasp. When she finally spoke her voice was like gravel.

"Klarion," She began, her eyes narrowed into slits, "Stay away from me…if I see you again, I will end your life."

With that said, Raven's body was engulfed in a black flame and she disappeared with her familiar.

Oh no! is this the end of Raven and Klarion forever?! Haha and how did Raven get her magic back? Well to be honest with that I don't even know myself. Sorry if that made Raven Blu seem a bit *gasp* mary sue-ish.
(*) I will be drawing Raven's new look and posting it on my Deviantart page, go to my profile for the link. I hope to have it up at least by next chapter. See ya later armadillos—unless I see you first. HAHA! REVIEW!
