"I still think that this is a very bad idea." my father announced for the third or fourth time, frankly I stopped counting after the second he said it

Like the driver was instructed, the truck stopped in Ramkola and now that Kelsey was off in the market it was time to get the plan in motion

Ren sighs "It's imperative Kadam, this is the only way that will get her to trust us and will give us the chance to explain the full situation"

"I agree with Ren father," I added "If we had just drove her all the way to Phet's she would have just said we were crazy and demand that we take her home"

My father closes his eyes and pinches the bridge of his nose before he could argue again Ren looks up and sees Kelsey looking over at us, grabs my hand and pulls me out of her line of sight "We are out of time, it's now or never"

Finally my father nods "Alright just make sure nothing happens to her." he looks at me cupping my face in my hands "You be safe my love"

I smile and lean into his hand "Don't worry father everything will be okay, this is going to be fun" that got a smile out of him. Within minutes Kadam was gone along with the truck, me and Ren changed back to our animal forms and sit waiting for Kelsey at the edge of the jungle. She had come out when she noticed us to find Ren back in his cage and me hiding in the jungle but went back inside for her thing, when she came out I tried so hard not to laugh because the look on her was quiet hysterical she walked over to the gas pump and grabbed her black bag checking inside to see if everything was still inside.

Me and Ren take a step out into view and her eyes go wider then a dinner plate "Oh, no! This is just great! 'Nothing will go wrong,' Mr. Kadam said. Ha! The driver must have stolen the truck and let Ren out.. And I have no idea how Mr. Kadam's dog here."

'DOG?!' I bark harshly at her making her jump away from us, Ren nudges me with his head telling me to relax, I glare at her then sit back down grumbling, how could she call me that? It's insulting really

After muttering and pacing she heads back into the market and returns with a handful of jerky snacks and two ropes, after attaching them to us Ren off into the forest but I stayed by Kelsey. I could tell that she was debating on trying to get ahold of my father or trusting a wild tiger and wolf. Thankfully she chose the latter

We walked for about a hour when Kelsey's paced started to slow until she stopped all together and sat on a log I barked loudly to inform Ren to come back, I laid at Kelsey's feet and Ren took his place by her side. I eyed them both carefully, I had a feeling that Ren was developing something for her given he was the first female to show kindness to him since he was captured but what do I know?

Soon Ren decided it was time that we got a move on again and he got up tugging a weary Kelsey behind him, slowly as the sun began to set the jungle started to become harder for Kelsey to navigate so she pulled out a flashlight from her pack and continued on. I walked a few paces in front of her to keep up with Ren, I heard his low growl as the prickly undergrowth started to stick to his fur, he shook them off and shoved them aside as he walked by, the branches he missed scratched at me and I followed suit pushing them away with my body, by the time Kelsey was passing through them there was no prickly branches to scratch her

We stopped by a patch of bamboo for the night, me and Ren did a full scout of the area to make sure it was safe before we settled down by Kelsey who untied the ropes from the collars we both wore.

"Well, I guess that means this is where we will sleep for the night. Great. No, really. It's a lovely choice. I'd give it four stars if it included a mint"

I rolled onto my back making huffing sounds as a laugh 'I like her sarcasm.'

Kelsey got out two water bottles and three energy bars, she unwrapped them and handed one to Ren and one to me, we both ate it without hesitation. Well I took my time to chew it while Ren swallowed his whole "Can you guys even eat energy bars? I know you probably need something with more protein, and the only thing with more protein is me, but don't even think about it. I taste terrible" Ren and I both tilted our heads as if we were actually considering it, that just made Kelsey's face pale and just feed us another bar

When Kelsey laid down to sleep Ren laid beside her with his back to hers, I laid a foot from them by the fire that she managed to start up, Kelsey inched closer to Ren and was out like a light and after watching them for a minute I closed my eyes and fell asleep to the chirping of the different bugs in the forest and the low purring from Ren

We set out the next morning to travel the rest of the way to the shamans hut. When we approached the hut Kelsey hesitated and turned to us "Alright I need to do something with you two first.." she walked over to a tree taking the ropes out of her bag and beckoned us close tying the ropes to our collars again, we looked at her begrudgingly "I'm sorry you guys but I cant have you guys running loose. It might scare the family. I promise I'll be back as soon as I can"

As she started walking toward the hut I look at Ren and he nods, we both morphed to human and took our collars off

"Is this really necessary?" Ren asked

Kelsey turned around slowly and this time I was able to laugh at her facial expression when she saw a young man and woman in the place of the tiger and wolf.
