Ash starts to panic a bit at any moment he could be attacked. He had to stay alive for Tia.
'And that thought is why I'll never harm you.' Latios returns to a normal voice and gives a small Latios cry.
"Latios? Is that you?... but you-you died. you're dead."
'How about I shake your hand and you'll find out.'
A hand reaches out of the shadows which Ash hesitantly grips. The person behind the hand steps out into the light.
Ash sees a young man around his age but shorter with blue hair and tufts of hair where his Pokeform ears would be and piercing red eyes.
The boy pulls him into an embrace.
"Welcome to the family brother." he greets Ash.
"How are you alive? You were dead for five years..." Ash asks still shocked.
"I don't know Ash... I do know someone went to a lot of trouble to bring me back. Something bigger is at play here. I can feel it." Latios states.
"But I digress. Enough with the doom and gloom let us enjoy our friends and family while we have them. Let's head to the garden I'm sure Tia will be worried." he suggests.
Ash nods and Latios chuckles.
"Sorry for the scare. It was err- kinda my way of giving the 'BIG Brother talk.' I think I may have been too dramatic. But meh? Served it's purpose."
Ash laughs. "No worries. You're right definitely served it's purpose." he says giving Latios a fist bump.
Meanwhile...
Everyone but Clemont had got back to the garden 30 minutes ago a were starting to worry.
Clemont enters the garden with his Diggersby carrying the shipping container.
"Where's Ash? Tia asks Clemont.
"I don't know. Haven't seen him since this AM. I thought he was with you..."
"He told us head pick you up and meet us back here." Tia explains.
"Oh dear that's not good"
Tia starts to panic.
"With all the strange events, I'm worried something bad has happened."she says tears pricking her eyes.
"I'm sure he's fine Tia." Brock comforts putting a hand on her shoulder.
Just then Ash walks into the Garden and almost instantly tackled by Tia. She wraps her arms and legs around him never wanting to let him go.
"It's okay Hun, I'm fine just got tied up with some stuff." Ash reassures hugging her tight and stroking her long red hair.
They kiss when she lets go of him and they lace hands walking back to the others
Latios still cloaked waits to surprise his sister.
He finally sneaks up on her.
"Boo." he whispers in her ear.
Latias shrieks latching on to Ash.
Ash chuckles.
"It's not funny someone is cloaked here it could be serious." Tia tells him frustrated.
"It's okay we got you good Hun." Ash says with a warm smile.
"What?! Who is we?" Latias now feeling an array of emotions.
"Don't you recognize your brothers voice?" Tio says
He then reveals himself in his Pokeform.
"But-but you're dead. I watched you die. This is some sort of trick." getting annoyed.
"No trick." Ash states
"Ashy what's going on. This isn't funny whatever it is."
Ash sits and pulls her into his lap, hugging her.
"Tia Sweetheart it's not a trick That IS your actual brother. Not even he knows who, how or why he was resurrected. He believes there is something big at play bu not sure what that might be so we'll have to look into it." Ash tells his wife.
Tia stands up and gives her brother a hug.
"I've missed you so much." She breathes
"I know sis. I could see and hear everything that went on in the garden."
Latias blushes.
"You could?... everything?... That means..."
"Ya."
Latias blushes harder and Ash even harder still.
"Don't worry I'm not mad at you or him. At first I wanted to kill him, even up until when he came back. But then I saw all that unfolded that night and then the mating marks. Then I had no reason to be angry I viewed him as a brother and part of this family." Tio explains.
"Thanks Tio." Ash appreciates.
Bianca comes running to Latios with tears pouring down her face. She jumps and latches onto him like she'll never let go. He holds her tight and then... they kiss.
This surprises everyone.
Latias goes to her and hugs her.
"I'm sorry I didn't notice what he really meant to you. You lost your soul mate and I was blind to it. How did you cope?"
"Well I really wanted to be with him when he died, but I couldn't bring myself to do that to you and Pops. I also had no way to know if he'd be in the afterlife since he became a Soul Dew. So I had to bottle it up and carry on. I know how you felt Tia, though I too didn't see how much you loved Ash."
"We should really have been more open and communicated what our struggles were. I mean we're sisters and we nearly died because we were too fearful of how our family would judge us." Tia states.
"Sorry B." Tia smiles weakly.
"Sorry Tia." Bianca apologizes hugging her tight.
"What matters is that we are all here together no. So we should hold onto this time and cherish it." Ash declares.
"Yes, here's to friends and family." Tio agrees.
"Here's!" everyone exclaims.
Lorenzo hearing them comes out to see what everyone is doing.
"My days Latios is that you?"
"Yes Pops it is."
"But how?"
"Afraid I have no answer, sorry."
"It's quite alright my boy. Have you had a chance to catch up with everyone."
"A little. Although I've had a first hand view of the house and garden from my Soul Dew for the past five years."
"I see. I always thought that the soul would move on eventually if not immediately."Lorenzo ponders.
"Unfortunately we are bound to our Dew."
"Well enough with that. We need to help Clemont in getting this defence system set up." Latios says changing the subject.
Clemont tells his Diggersby what to do. It finishes digging the hole in 20 minutes. Then stores the Mainframe inside the container and connects it to the houses power supply. Then everyone helps lower it into the ground and bury it.
"Okay Ash and Tia I need you to place all these sensors all over the city in the places marked on the map." Clemont explains handing them a map of the city.
Ash and Tia cloak themselves and take off to situate the sensors.
Meanwhile...
"Yes boss we will carry out your plans with ease, with our secret weapon. Soon the world will fall at your feet."
"Good! And don't blunder the plan. It would be a pain to have to replace you."
"Certainly boss."
"Now see yourselves out."
*ring**ring*
"Hello?"
"Hi, Doctor sorry to bother you, wanted to let you know that we have made great strides in creating your device. The hick up at the Lab slowed things some. Again they weren't my best people."
"Glad to hear things are going well. Although my ideas always come to fruition. With your work we will see results sooner."
"We will finally be to stop those kids who meddle in our affairs." the doctors colleague tells him.
"That we will." he smiles.
He hangs up and sits back to ponder everything.
Soon the whole world will fall and I will rule with no Ash and his friends to stand in my way. With his unknowing help he will suffer the greatest loss he's every seen. He will unwillingly destroy all he has worked so hard to protect.
*Knock**Knock*
"Sir the Lati's are complete."
The doctor smiles a sinister grin.
Excellent, not much longer
Ash and Tia are on their way back having finished placing all the sensors when Tia cries out in pain. Hearing this Ash rushes to her where she had fallen on a small bridge. Ash notices her swollen stomach.
"Hun are you okay?"
"It hurts a lot. Can you take me to a PC?"
"Yes love."
He carries her bridal style and runs to the PC with her. A nurse sees him coming and rushes out to help.
"Do you know what happened?" the nurse asks.
"No. We were out touring when she cried out in pain and collapsed. So I rushed her here." Ash explains.
"Ma'am where is the pain."
"My abdomen." Latias cries.
"You really should have gone to a hospital. We don't normally treat people."
"She's a Pokemon." Ash informs.
"Hold my hand and try to relax so you can revert to your Pokeform." Ash encourages.
She reverts after a minute.
"Thanks." the nurse says.
"This will make it much easier to run tests and find the problem." she then explains.
"Right this way." Nurse Joy instructs Ash.
"From a just visual analysis i don't think it's life threatening."
Ash nods.
"I have to use the washroom." Latias tells the nurse.
"Just a moment. We are coming to a bathroom around this corner."
Ash and the nurse help he off the stretcher and into the washroom.
"I'm just going to quickly check a patient across the hall while she's in the washroom. Come get me if there's any problems." Nurse Joy tells him.
In the washroom Latias feels like she might puke. She puts her head over the bowl. She the feels a sharp pain and something pushing out of her. The intense pain causes her to pass out.
Ash knocks on the door when she seems to be taking too long.
"Tia are you okay in there?" he asks knocking.
- no response -
"Nurse Joy! Come quick I think something wrong." Ash calls.
She quickly opens the door to find an unconscious Tia and an egg. She presses the alert button and more Nurse Joys come running.(A/N: I TRIED TO KEEP TO THE IDEA IN THE GAMES WHERE PEOPLE DON'T HAVE ANY IDEA WHERE EGGS COME FROM. MIGHT STRAY FROM THIS LATER ON NOT 100% SURE.)
"Ash I know this is your Pokemon but we need space to help her. It's best if you wait in the waiting area. We will get you when we're done."
Ash still seems wary.
"Your wife's in good hands. I promise."
Ash nods.
About an hour and a half passes until one of the nurses comes to get him.
"Hi, Ash. She's awake now. We ran a bunch of test and she's fine, just a little low on fluids. We have her in IV now."
Ash follows her to Tia's room.
"Thanks Nurse Joy."
She smiles putting a hand on his shoulder before leaving to give them some space.
"Tia babe! you're okay?"
She smiles warmly and nods
"Good I was so worried about you. What actually happened anyway?" Ash asks curious.
"Well it was kind of a surprise. The nurses aren't sure how it happened but, it did! Now they have something for us." Latias explains.
Tia changes to her human form and they hold each other tightly. Ash hums burying his face in her hair before kissing the top of her head.
"Want to see something amazing?"
"Yes! What is this thing you and the nurses are talking about?" Ash asks a little impatient.
"It's just behind this curtain, I'll let you do the honours." Tia tells him.
Ash quickly pulls back the curtain that was over the window. Inside the room he sees is warm coloured room. In the middle is an incubator and in the incubator sits a beautiful egg that's white and..."
