Her death doesn't initially register to Ash. When it does a second later his eyes grow wide with horror, fury consumes him and suddenly his eyes turn to red flames, his white fur becomes dark purple. A massive dark aura radiates from him.
"This should be interesting." Dr. Vaker concurs.
With speed so fast it can't be seen he uses Shadow Force slipping out behind LatiY combining Dragon Claw with the Shadow Force he rips LatiY's heart out through it's back falling to the ground dead.
"You will pay for destroying my creation!" The doctor screams at Ash.
Ash doesn't even notice he knows nothing but kill. His attention turns to LatiX. Ash barrages it with Shadow Balls lowering it's Special Defence a lot.
"Kill him!" Dr. V yells to his last Lati.
Ash flies at LatiX as it attempt to kill him. Ash rolls through the air dodging five Barb Shots with ease.
"LatiX Metal Spear now!" He yells seeing the opening.
The Metal Spear is about to go through Ash's chest when he teleports above LatiX. He charges a Shadow Ball and rolls above his unaware victim slamming it into it's back rocketing LatiX into the ground ripping through it's body. The Shadow Ball continues into the earth creating a 10 meter deep hole. LatiX lays dead in the middle of the massive crater left by the blast.
"No! This isn't possible! You aren't a complete pokemon. You should be dead. No, no, no, no!" Dr. V stomps screaming with rage.
Ash does not hear a sound but senses something is still alive. He sees Ash's focus turn to him.
"So this is it? So be it. I still win." He says opening his arms to embrace death.
Ash flies at him using Dragon Claw. Ash is about to make contact, when time stops.
"ENOUGH!" Thunder bellows.
Light pierces the dark sky and clouds. Arceus descends from the heavens.
"Ash come back." He says softly pushing the darkness from his mind and pulling him away from Dr. V. Ash returns to normal and Arceus allows time to continue. Seeing his dead wife he runs to her remaining oblivious to everything else. Tears run down his face dripping onto he fur.
"I'm so sorry I wasn't strong enough to protect you." He whispers as she becomes a Soul Dew.
'Am I dead?' The doctor thinks eyes still closed and hearing no sounds.
Arceus is curious why Ash dosn't notice him. Ash goes to smash the Soul Dew.
"No my child. Please wait." Ash stops and turns to see Arceus.
His eyes grow wide in amazement. Hearing Arceus speak Dr. V opens his eyes.
"I was wondering when you would show up..." Dr. Vaker cackles speaking to Arceus.
"You were foolish to come here Arceus. But that is my gain I guess." He says in a cold tone.
"As were you." Arceus states calmly in reply.
"I don't think so... People are the rulers of this world and pokemon are mere servants and with this Master Ball you will become my servant." He smiles confidently.
"That is why you'll never succeed. You with all your intellegence, grand schemes and plans and manipulations you failed to stop and think about what my power enables me to do? I created this world you fool. Pokemon where made in my 'image' with physical strength. People where created with my 'intellect'. They both were created to compliment each other. Work together, laugh together, love together yes even romantically. You were all to learn from each other and grow strong together. Form a lasting bond with each other. You know my power but regardless if you believe in me being a 'god' as you call them don't you at least think I can use my power over you?" Arceus challenges.
"Your mind games are pathetic you'll see soon." Dr. Vaker says unfazed.
"I'll admit I didn't create perfect worlds because nothing is perfect not even me. One day other worlds will meet more of each other like the Ultra worm hole. And because nothing is perfect I stand watch and set things into motion. I do this to keep the society I carefully constructed safe from beings like yourself. Today I have failed some of my best children and for that I am sorry. It is tiring watching trillions of things at once so as beings sleep when they grow tired so do I. Sometimes my naps are long sometimes short depending on how much energy I need to recharge. I set up safe guards so to speak and rarely they fail, but they do. Today is such a case. Humans have a short sighted concept of time. What is a hundred in billions of years. My long rests last thousands of years but this is a drop in the bucket for me. Just as hours of sleep is nothing for you in comparison to your lifetime. You are a person of pure hate and hate will never trump love on my watch."
Dr. V laughs.
"Well my 'God' why don't you see what it's like inside this Master Ball."
Dr. Vaker throws the ball at Arceus who gets sucked inside. The ball wiggles three times before clicking signalling capture. Ash grows kind of worried. The doctor laughs crazily and goes to pick it up. As he grips the ball it fades into nothing. He grabs only air and he stares in shock.
"How?!" He exclaims angry and confused.
Arceus appears back beside Ash.
"I simply showed you what you wanted to see."
"No!" He spits in anger.
"I thought I was the fool for coming here? Looks like the only fool was you. Isn't that right... Dr. Hyuji!"
Dr. V looks at Arceus with shock and fear.
"Why do you call him Dr. Hyuji?" Ash asks confused.
"Because you all have been decieved. Dr. Vaker is currently under Dr. Hyuji's control via one of his four Malamar. Who help him for their collective evil gain. There are several others currently being controlled and even more that were but are no longer under his control. The reason I stopped you was because you were about to kill an innocent man. Let me show you."
Arceus breaks Dr. Vaker from Hyuji's control.
"What happened?! Where am I? How did I get here?" Dr. V exclaims in shock.
Arceus stops time again for everyone but him and Ash.
"As you see he doesn't remember a thing... which I suppose is for the best." He explains to Ash.
"What happens if I do it again?" Ash asks getting scared.
"My child I have much to explain. Fear not for when I am done you will be safe from hurting others unless by your own choice." Arceus soothes.
"First do you understand how you became more pokemon than human?" He inquires.
"No. I mean I'm sure it had to do with the Soul Dew just not sure how." Ash admits.
"A Soul Dew Enigma I guess?" Arceus chuckles.
Ash nods smiling.
"I'll explain how it happened but a few things to explain ahead of that. Dr. Vaker or Dr. Hyuji rather wanted to and was creating a super powerful pokemon for one purpose. To kill. These pokemon are called Shadow pokemon a term I'm sure you've heard before. They are created by removing all emotions but anger and hate. They are tortured till all they want is to see the world burn. However the type he created could not be purged because all they knew was hate because they were created as such. Other shadow pokemon can be freed from the darkness. So in the beginning he studied the DMA in Alto Mare. Which as you know can manipulate a Soul Dew and you also know a Soul is bound to the dew until destroyed. So he tortured that poor soul for almost a year. Then by chance you heard a Soul Dew had been stolen by Team Rocket. You stopped Team Rocket that was hired to create the body but also hired as a diversion. He took control of Dr. Namba and Mr. Fuji respectively. Dr. Namba was a terrible person long before Dr. Hyuji got control of him just so that's clear. They used Lati DNA to create the bodies and altered it so LatiX became Steel/Dragon and LatiY became Steel/Psychic. Steel typing was added to both just in different ways. What Dr. Hyuji didn't know was the hiccup at the lab was what destroyed his plan. He had to torture new souls and had much less time to do so. This made them much weaker than they would have become."
"Why didn't you stop them?" Ash asks.
"It might sound strange but because I wanted to see you happy. Your ideals and what you want to do for the world and what you want it to be also lines up with what I wanted when I created all these worlds. Yes they may all be different but share the same concept. I hadn't seen a human or pokemon for that matter that was like you in your world for a thousand or more years. I never wanted any beings to love me or worship me, nor would I force them to, some don't know I exist. But I love all my children especially my good children. Those who are evil or do bad things I punish but things aren't always so black and white. You are pure and inherently good. Yes you have faults but everyone and everything does. I saw this future for you. It was a big risk to travel this path but I wanted to risk it for you. To see you happy because I love you. I want to reward children who want good and share my dream for the world in which they live. It was getting close to time for me to sleep just like you go to bed at night. This was about 800 years ago. I was picturing roads the future it the world would continue but those futures would be difficult. When I saw you, you were the diamond in the rough. The future where you existed would be good. But I didn't want to make it good just for the world as a whole and have you put in effort with no reward. I wanted to see you happy. To earn something for your efforts. I was risking a lot but I figured with safeguards things would be okay. So I set things on the path and went to sleep. One of those safeguards was like an alarm clock to wake me up so I fix any things that hadn't gone well. TJ was my alarm clock. I set his family on a course before my rest to become great dragon masters with a mysterious past never knowing their immediate family and desiring to learn a family secret one that would be hidden until TJ. He would find out after he captured Rayquaza. He would learn a secret prophecy that if he gave his life and started the end of the world to wake me he would be offered a choice. When he met his family in the after life he could either stay with them and enjoy their company or stay with you his friends and meet his family again when he died naturally. Had I not chose this path you would not have all the friends you have now. You never would have confessed your love for Tia. You wouldn't have your daughter or son or anything that came with it. You would be true to yourself but you would be fighting for a better future that you would never see. The world would be no better, if not worse than when I went to sleep."
"Well everyone is dead now aren't they." Ash says angrily.
"Please Ash don't be angry. Just listen and put a little trust in me for a moment."
Ash sighs and nods.
"I do not want you to like me or love me, nor thank me, nor worship me. I just ask that you understand why I made the choice I did. My decisions are sometimes difficult to make and plan. I have to lay the course for the future of a world with thousands of futures existing at once. I have to look after trillions and trillions of individual futures at once..."
Ash nods.
"I'm still having trouble understanding everything." Ash admits honestly.
"I'll try to simplify it. Your Ellie you love her?"
"Yes." Ash says without hesitation.
"More than almost anything..." He states missing her.
"Now if Ellie shares your dreams for the future. Would you want her to achieve those or even help her achieve those?"
"Without a question." Ash agrees.
"If you could would you give her the best future she could want?"
"Yes. I would give everything I have to see her happy." Ash says tears running down his face.
"You're 'MY' Ellie, Ash. Do you understand my choice now?"
"Yes I do. Very much so."
"Thank you. I'm glad."
"Now as I was saying... They were way weaker because he had less time to create them. The power of Shadows is stronger the more pain they've endured and they length they've endured it. In this case human's can only torture a soul to a certain extent. So it ends up being the longer the torture the greater the power. In your case when you grabbed that Soul Dew it channelled that angry hate filled Latios soul into you. The life essence made you a pokemon. The dark emotions made you black. But fear not for the soul that Latios' consciousness moved on. As one being's consciousness never becomes another. They may however overlap. Like the sync you have with both Greninja and Tia. The only reason you didn't become a Shadow pokemon is the incredible amount of love you had not only for Tia but for your family, your friends, other people and pokemon you meet and this world as a whole. That love that special love you had matched all those dark negative emotions. But like mixing substances either they blend or both exist side by side. Sometimes that's one in the same. Thus you are a black Latios and not a blue one. You still have those shadows inside you. When your friends and finally Tia died that darkness was fed and quickly took over completely. You can choose to fear it or embrace it, that's your choice but that darkness has immense power. Greater than any other. All that power easily wiped out the two lesser powers. In the end he destroyed himself. I'm sure you've heard the saying 'live by the sword. Die by the sword.' Yes?"
Ash nods.
"Let me show you that power you have."
Arceus sight shares the events after he blacked out and became a Shadow pokemon.
"That's incredible but also terrifying. I feel that's too much power to have." Ash admits.
"Well it is from your perspective I suppose... If you'd like I have an offer pertaining to this and it will be always be on the table while you live."
"What's the offer?"
"Well if you accept you will become a World Guardian along with some of you friends and family."
"They all are dead though..."
"I created this universe and everything in it. You think returning life to a few people is too difficult?"
"Sorry should have thought of that." Ash answers sheepishly.
"No worries child."
"Why would you do this for me?"
"As I've said because I love my good children and like them to be happy. Especially ones who are as kind, caring and honest as you. Most of you're friends are included on this list of good children. But you in particular are special. You are something that comes only every thousand years or so. Remember Ash you are my Ellie."
"Anyways as I was saying. If you accept my offer I will grant you and some of your friends, as well as their direct children with current mates and mates of those direct children. If anyone chooses to die to be with someone who has moved on I will grant them death. I will not be reversing this choice if it is made. Now about the shadows... With my offer I will grant you control over that dark power that resides in you. If you don't want this offer I can remove that darkness inside you and you and everyone can live on as you were."
"As I said this offer will always be there for you. If you don't want it now, you can get it later or you could get it now and revoke it later. Once you die however this offer expires. Also you can only use the full extent of your dark power working directly or indirectly for me. You will only have partial use in every other case. So what is your choice?"
"What would this entail?"
"Stopping people and/or pokemon from overthrowing society or destroying the world. I am also offering this to help myself. Thus if I need to sleep I can do so soundly knowing everything is in good hands. To contact me with the Azure Flute. The one Cilan and Gardenia gifted you will Notify me when played but only by said people this offer extends to. So?"
"I accept on one condition."
"Which would be?"
"No one knows us or what we do."
"Ever humble but I think that's a given." Arceus laughs.
"To be clear I am extending this offer to Your family, Bianca and Tio and their children, Brock and Ninetales and their children, Dawn and her first mate and their children, Cilan and Gardenia and their children, As well as the first mates of all your children when they grow up. All of your children will also be barred from having there own children. You also may ask your mom and Lorenzo if they wish to have this extended to them. If they do choose so contact me and I will grant them that. All who fought against Dr. Vaker will be brought back. TJ though is sad to say it but, he has decided to move on. He says he love's you all dearly and cherishes the friendship he had with you. He leaves his remaining pokemon as a token of thanks and one to remember him by. He hopes one day he will meet you all again. He leaves his Rayquaza to you Ash and his Noivern named Vex to Dawn. He wishes to leave a portion of his spirit behind with Vex so he is close to Dawn as well as the rest of you. He won't be able to communicate with you but he'll feel your presence. Everyone named holds the title Guardian and I will address them as such. Everyone named will have to make peace with others eventually passing on. You all will be angels of death. Killing every evil person and/or pokemon who attempts to destroy society as I have created or the world as I have created. You will find these groups and or individuals with my guidance and help from government channels through every region on earth."
"What about human pokemon relationships?" Ash asks.
"As you know they are a gift. A special love for those that have it. When I created this world I did so with the intention of love being free. Human-Human, Human-pokemon and pokemon-pokemon. I entrust this mission to you and I believe even with partial use of your ability, you and the others can succeed."
"Some view me as a god but I am not such. To me god implies a level of perfection and I am far from that. I see my self as a creator and a single parent. When I created everything it cost me a lot of my power now I am only half of what I was. Since this loss of power I now have certain limitations. I can't create any more at least to this scale. So I love all my creations but remove and punish those who seek to corrupt and destroy it. I have made good decisions and bad ones. Sometimes my decisions cost lives and sometimes the lives of the goodhearted. I do my best to avoid this but sometimes plans don't work or turn out the way you expected. I try to make amends for this. I see the future but not just one I see thousands and when I decide on a path what I see can always change my look into the future is not day to day. It's more like an average sometimes a hundred years or sometimes thousands. I succeed and I fail. I am just like everything else full of faults and failures. I had no beginning and I have no end. I just am. Take my gifts so you and the others can work with me and hopefully make a better world or at least work towards the creation I envisioned. You will be able to share your power with your wife through your sync as well in case you were. Your first assignment so to speak and I know this goes against your nature but destroy Dr. Hyuji and his Pokemon. You may have vengeance if you wish, I care not. As long as they are destroyed."
"Thanks Lord Arceus."
"You are most welcome Ash my Guardian."
He fades away as he restores things to the way they were.
"Ash what happened how did we get back?" Tia asks confused.
"Let's discuss this later, it's a long story..." Ash sighs.
Tia runs and hugs him.
"I'm so happy I didn't lose you." He whispers with tears falling from his face.
"Me too Ashy... me too." She soothes in reply.
Everyone hugs and kisses their loved ones.
"What happened, We were dead? Where's my wife and Ellie?" Tio asks
Ash sight shares some of what happened.
"Bianca and Ellie ran and I don't know how far they got but we'll find them. I know they're safe."
Tio relaxes hearing this.
"We are immortal?" Brock asks still surprised by what Ash showed them.
'Yes my Guardians.' Arceus' voice echoes in their heads.
"Ash!" Calls an Officer Jenny running towards them.
There was an emergency broadcast about a doctor. Anyways we caught this one trying to flee with his pokemon.
"Is this him? if so what do we do with them now that we answer to you?"
"Yes it is good work, leave him and his pokemon with us. Thanks for your help." Ash thanks her.
He releases his four Malamar.
They use their Psychic powers to pull the metal rods from the ground hurling them at Ash and Tia. The rods strike them and they pull them from their bodies and they clang to the ground. Their wounds heal immediately. They both take their pokeforms using dragon claw to quickly kill the four Malamar.
"Dr. Hyuji for your actions you are here by sentenced to death." Ash states.
"What are your final words?"
"Please don't do kill me!" He cries.
"Okay I wont..." Ash responds.
"Oh thank you! You won't regret this!" Dr. Hyuji exclaims relieved.
"She will though." Ash says motioning to his wife.
"What?!" He says filling with fear again.
Tia fills with dark power and anger as the doctors eyes grow wide in horror.
She flies at him using Dragon claw to slice his leg off and he falls to the ground screaming in pain. Tia then uses Dragon Pulse to cauterize the wound so he doesn't bleed out. He tries to get up sobbing in pain but as he does so Tia slices off one of his arms cauterizing it too. He lays helplessly on his stomach writhing and screaming in pain.
"Where's your great power now? The one that you said was unlike any before you? Seems to me like you destroyed yourself." Tia picks him up by the collar and throws him against the slope.
Tia becomes human and walks back towards Ash
"Are you afraid to die?" She asks turning back to face him.
"Yes!" He cries.
Tia pulls a pointed metal rod from the ground.
"Please! You said you'd spare me. Please, please, please." He begs holding out his hand pleading them to stop.
"I guess it's true what they say. Live by the sword..." Tia smiles seeing his terror.
Tia kneels pointing the barb against his neck and he gulps.
"Die by the sword." She whispers in his ear pushing the rod through his throat and up into his skull. He struggles, gurgling and spitting up blood. When the rod goes into his head he ceases to move.
Tia stands to face them with a smile of satisfaction. Everyone else smiles back.
"Let's go home." She sighs satisfied with her revenge but very glad everything was over.
Ash nods as Ninetales sets the bodies ablaze with Flamethrower. As they walk back towards Geosenge they see Bianca holding a sleeping Ellie walking towards them on the horizon. Bianca wakes her niece.
"Look." She says to Ellie.
Ellie seeing her parents flies towards them tears pouring from her eyes. They fall down as she plows into them. They lay there petting and soothing their daughter. Happy that they were together and safe again. Tio runs to his wife and they hold each other.
Ash messages Alexa giving her the green light for the news broadcast.
"I think we should go see Mr. Fuji it's been a while..." Ash tells the group.
"Who's Mr. Fuji." They ask.
"He was one of the first people who believed in me as a trainer and one of the ones held under the control of Dr. Hyuji." He explains smiling to himself thinking back to when they met.
Soon they reach Mr. Fuji's place with Ash leading them.
"Ash my boy thanks you for everything and especially freeing me from Dr. Hyuji." Mr. Fuji greets.
"I'm just glad you're alright and it wasn't just me it was all of us." Ash chuckles motioning to all his friends.
"Thank you all so much!"
They spend a few hours talking with Mr. Fuji before they head to they PC nearby to spend the night
They wake around noon the next day and Alexa calls Ash not soon after.
"Hey Ash! Just calling to let you know the tournament is ready and most governments, with the judges help and much frenzy from the public after the news broadcast I aired last night was played around the world by many news outlets and stations, agree to your tournament stipulations. The video of Bianca and Tio pretty much sealed the deal. Every region has agreed to decriminalize these relationships regardless of the tournaments outcome. Great work to you all. I'm glad I was able to work with you. You have saved a lot of lives and helped a lot of people. The tournament starts in two days all information on it has been made public. Good luck in the tournament Ash but I just know you'll win!"
"Thanks again Alexa, couldn't have done it without you!"
"My pleasure. Hopefully see you all again soon." Alexa states.
"I'm sure we will." Ash assures.
"Bye." Alexa says before hanging up.
"Who was that?" Tia asks turning to him while feeding Ellie Pokepuffs.
"Alexa." Ash smiles
"Pokephelia has been decriminalized in every region or will be over the next week or so no matter the tournament outcome. If we do win the tournament it will be legalized." Ash explains.
Tia smiles broadly hugging her mate.
"That's half the battle! We need to tell the others." Tia exclaims.
Tia quickly goes to the others sharing the news. They sigh in relief hearing that they had succeeded in their mission at least partially.
"We will all be free to love each other soon no matter where we are." Ninetales says kissing her mate.
"I know hun I can't wait." Brock smiles kissing her back.
Before the next day Bianca decides to challenge her second Gym to prepare for the tournament.
She wins without much effort thanks to Tio and what she learned from fighting the doctor. They relax the rest of the day doing some sight seeing. They go to bed early so they're ready for tomorrow. Tia checks on the egg that her sister is carrying before going to bed. When she gets back to their tent Ash and Ellie are asleep. Tia lays down when Ellie beings to toss and turn.
"No!" Ellie says in her sleep
She's having a nightmare.
Tia feels bad for all the horrible things her daughter had to experience.
Tia wakes her before she screams.
"Mommy, I'm scared." Ellie says crying.
"I know baby. I know." She soothes hugging her until her daughter calms.
"I know you are scared and you had to experience things you never should have had to. But that bad man and evil Pokemon are dead they can never hurt us again. There might be more like them in the future we can't know that. However all of us are immortal nothing can ever kill us. You will feel pain but you can't die none of us can. One day you'll be strong like mommy and daddy and the others but until then we'll all protect you. Nothing will ever take us away from you again and nothing will take you away from us again. So try to relax and if you have another nightmare me and dad will be here just wake us up and we'll help you get back to sleep."
"Okay." Ellie nods feeling a bit safer.
"We better go to bed now. Try and think about the little brother you'll soon have and how much fun you'll have together. Christmas is coming soon too so think about that as well. Anyways come to momma and we'll go to sleep." Tia says before curling up with her daughter and husband to go to sleep.
Ellie sleeps through the rest of the night. In the morning they wake up a bit early and head to the Lumiose Gym for the tournament.
"Hello and welcome to the Lumioise Gym." An automated voice greets them.
"Hey guys when I Alexa told me the news and I offered to host the tounament." Clemont smiles greeting them.
"Thanks Clemont."
"Here are your masks every trainer will wear them for anonymity. You'll be identified by a number only. Now each trainer can chose one pokemon only. For your side it will be the pokemon you are currently in a relationship with. The other side will choose one of their strongest Pokemon. The odds will be a little bit against you, but your bond the same ones I have witnessed should prevail after all that's what this tournament aims to prove. The tounament is swiss until the top 50 on each side. The way the rest of the tounament will work is a knock out challenge in this case you'll fight other trainers on your side and evetually there will be a champion on your side. The other side will do the same knockout rounds to decide their champion. Finally the last battle will champions for each side will face each other till knock out. The side that wins decides whether to fully legalize Pokephelia or leave it decriminalized." Clemont breathes exhausted from explaining.
Ash laughs patting him on the shoulder.
"Go to the tables and sign up anyways good luck all of you!" Clemont says.
"Thanks Clemont!" They call to him as they head towards the registration tabels for their side.
Eventually more and more people flowed in. The final show up is almost 2100.
They pull the masks over their heads and get ready. The battles are fairly quick being 1v1 battles. The top 100 is reached quickly. They are assigned new numbers. Ash #16, Brock #4 and Bianca #13
By the end of the day 4 trainers remain on both sides.
For Ash's side there was Ash #16, Brock #4, Bianca #13 and finally Joji #49.
On the opposing team there is Tobi #57, Patty #51, Ben #92 and Carly #74.
"The next round will be #4 vs #13 the winner will advance to the quarter-finals." Clemont announces.
Brock and Bianca take their places.
"Trainers ready?" The ref asks.
They nod.
"Begin."
"Will-O-Wisp." Brock commands his wife causing Tio to slow.
"Earthquake." Bianca calls.
With nowhere to run Ninetales is hit by the massive Earthquake doing large amounts of damage.
"You're doing great love. You can do it!" Brock assures his mate.
"Get ready." Brock warns her.
"Luster Purge!" Bianca commands.
Just before it strikes Ninetales she gracefully jumps over it.
"Shadow Ball."
She send a Shadow Ball at Tio. As he moves to dodge it Brock sees an opening to attack.
"Hex now babe."
Currently dodging the first attack and slowed by his burn he gets hit square with the Hex. I causes double damage due to his burn and Tio is struggling to get up.
"Finish this with Shadow Blast!" Brock instructs and Tio doesn't have time to move.
The blast strikes with an explosion and when the smoke clears Latios is unhurt. This surprises Latios himself. Looking up he sees Ninetales smiling.
"Me and Brock agreed we'd put on a good fight but let you go on to face what will likely be Ash and Tia. We thought a little sibling rivalry would be fun to watch."
"Heh... Thanks." Tio says.
"Go ahead use Dragon Pulse on me."
"I feel bad doing this." Tio says reluctantly.
"Don't." Ninetales assures letting herself collapse to the Dragon Pulse
"#13 advances to the quarter-finals."
"#16 and #49 please take your places." Clemont tells them
"Go Latias." Ash says.
"Go Banette."
"Trainers ready?"
Both nod.
"Begin!"
'Latias Shadow Ball.'
Banette gets knocked back by the attack and her Special Defence lowers.
"Go Mega Evolution!" Joji cries.
"Phantom Force Annette!"
'Shadow Ball.' Ash instructs.
It's about to hit when Banette vanishes. Latias sense her but isn't fast enough to react. Tia rockets into the ground. She gets back up
"Latias Shadow Ball." Ash voices.
'Reflect Type.' He actually commands.
"Sucker Punch." Joji tells his mate thinking a Shadow Ball is coming.
He looks confused when Annette's attack fails.
"Phantom Force Annette!" Joji tells her.
'Shadow Ball now, then charge two more.'
She waits till Banette appears. She senses Banette in the same spot turning quickly slaming the Shadow Balls into Annette the Banette. Channeling her strength into them. The super effective damage faints Banette.
"Mega Banette is unable to battle #16 moves to the semi-finals." Clemont announces.
"#16 and #13 take your places and prepare for the semi-final. The winner of this match advances to the finals to face the opposition."
"Begin." The ref says when they're ready.
"Tia Protect."
"Latios Dragon Pulse."
Tio's attack hits but does nothing.
"Follow up with Dragon Claw!" Bianca commands her mate.
'Counter with Dragon Ball.'
Latias quickly charges two Shadow Balls emptying a Dragon Pulse into them. Tia narrowly avoids her brothers attacks with grace. She slams both Dragon Balls into him as she dodges his attack. Tio gets blasted into the wall collapsing. Unable to continue the ref calls the match.
"#16 wins this match and will compete in the final." Clemont voices.
Latias goes to help her brother.
"Shit. When did you get so strong?"
Tia laughs.
"Since I became Ash's Pokemon and mate." She replies smiling.
"You hit like a truck."
"Together nothing will ever stop us!" Tia states.
"That's right babe!" Ash agrees hugging her.
"You fought well Bianca." Ash compliments.
"Thanks."
"Mommy why did you hurt uncle?"
"It's what Pokemon do to grow strong and don't worry it's nothing he can't handle." Tia explains.
"Do I have to?" She asks looking up at her parents.
"Not if you don't want to baby girl." Ash assures kissing her head.
In the end Ash's opponent for the final is Tobi #57 and his Mawile.
"The final match will be between #16 with his Latias and #57 with his Mawile. The winner of this fight will decide whether Pokephelia remains decriminalized or becomes fully legalized." Clemont reports.
"#16 and #57 take your places!" He signals.
"Ready to lose scumbag." Tobi jabs.
Ash is about to retort but thinks better of it.
"Your relationship is an abomination. Me and my Pokemon will wipe the floor with you." Tobi spits.
Leave it all on the field.
Ash smiles to himself.
"Ready?"
Both trainers nod.
"Begin!"
'Reflect Type.'
"Gotcha babe!" Tia replies.
"Mawile Mega Evolution!"
"Play Rough!" Tobi barks.
Mawile punches Tia into the ground.
"That's it shake it off." Ash encourages.
"Tia Dragon Pulse!"
Her attack misses.
"Mawile full force Crunch."
Mawile bites her throwing her to the ground.
"End this with Play Rough." Tobi commands.
Mawile unloads a flurry of punches until it looks like Latias has lost.
However moments later Tia slowly gets up smiling and spits out some blood.
"Impossible!" Tobi shouts.
"Together now!" Ash says.
They begin to sync. Her red fur becomes black and her eyes burn with yellow flames. A vortex of dark energy surrounds her.
"Is that all you got?" Tia asks in a demonic voice.
"What is this?" Tobi asks staring up at her in shock.
"Shadow Ball barrage!"
Mawile gets hit by ten Shadow Balls harshly lowering her Special Defence.
"Now! Z-move Devastating Drake!" Ash shouts.
Tia charges and fires a winged pulse of pink energy at light speed. Mawile gets blasted with a nuclear like explosion when the pink energy dissipates and the smoke clears Mawile is unable to battle.
Tia and Ash relax and unsync.
"Mawile is unable to continue. #16 is the victor... Now #16 you may decide what you wish the law to be regarding human-Pokemon relationships."
Ash looks at his mate with a smile.
"Full legalization!" He states.
"The law will be now be amended. This will go into affect in exactly two weeks time with a grace period until the law is as such."
"We did it!" Tia exclaims with relief.
"Hell ya we did!"
Tia flies to him and they kiss. The camera's film them and then as the tournament ends the cameras shut off. They list the changes and re-air Alexa's news broadcast. When they get out they remove their masks and leave for the next Gym.
Bianca continues her journey in Kalos collecting all the gym badges and successfully challenging the Kalos League. Not long after her victory over the League her nephew hatches. They thank Clemont, Alexa, Professor Sycamore, Olympia and Diantha as they see them off at the airport as they fly back to Alto Mare for Christmas.
Delia who never left greets them at the house.
"Mom!" Tia and Ash exclaim in surprise running to hug her.
"Welcome back everyone." Delia says excitedly.
"Wow Ellie you've grown like two feet!"
Ellie laughs hugging her grandma.
"And this is Tion." Bianca says letting Delia hold him.
"He's about a week old." Tia tells her.
Tion coo's as Delia pets him gently while holding him.
"Hi." Delia smiles.
"Hi Gamma." He replies.
"He's so cute." She tells them.
"Hi little brother." Ellie says going over to see him.
"Sis-sis!" Tion says happily.
"Well Lorenzo is just putting the finishing touches on Tion's crib. He might be back sometime soon. He doesn't know your back though so I'll call him to let him know." Delia informs.
"Food mama!" Tion calls.
Delia hands him back to Tia so she can feed him while she phones Lorenzo.
They all sit down and relax in the family room.
"I saw the news broadcast and tournament on TV. I'm glad you guys achieved your goal. It will help a lot of people and Pokemon. Oh and congratulations Bianca and Tio. That was incredible I've come to understand how personal mating is for Pokemon and I'm really thankful you shared your marks with the world."
"Thanks Delia." Tio and Bianca say appreciatively.
"So what was the rest of your journey like?"
"Do you want the full story?" Ash asks sighing.
"Are you sure you want to do this Ash?" Tio asks hesitantly.
"Did something bad happen?" Delia asks suddenly concerned
"You could say that." Tia tries to give a gentle laugh but it fades as she remembers what happened.
"We wait till Lorenzo gets here to sight share our entire journey. Or at least what I'm allowed to show you." Ash admits.
Lorenzo walks in the door an carries a big package up to Tion's room.
"Welcome back so wonderful to see you all again." He says hugging Ash, Tia, Tio and Bianca.
"Hi Ellie how are you?"
"Pretty good Grampa. Thanks for making my brothers crib. I'm sure he'll love it."
"I would like to help you if I can." Ellie offers.
"Sure I don't see why not."
Ellie claps excitedly.
"So what is everyone up to?" Lorenzo inquires finally sitting down.
"We were waiting for you so we could sight share our journey."
"Oh sorry for making you wait." Lorenzo apologizes.
Ash starts.
"We were actually hesitant about sharing this but we thought it would be best to be transparent and show what we can. I don't like keeping secrets from people I love. So I think it's important to share this and if everyone else agrees we can start." Ash explains.
They all nod in agreement.
"Just a heads up there will be a lot of painful memories, tragic and horrific events. If you don't want to see this you can leave this room and relax in your room till it's over." Ash warns.
"One sec." Ash interrupts himself.
"Ellie sweetie we don't want you to see this again, it's bad enough you had to experience it. We don't want you reliving it and I'm sure you don't either." Ash sighs looking to Tia.
Tia nods.
"Come with me honey. You and your brother can watch your favourite cartoons or something. Keep your brother company and make sure you just stay and relax on our bed and watch the flat screen. If there's an emergency let us know. Just telepath me or your dad. We'll come get you when the bad part is over."
Tia sits in the middle of her parents bed with the remote and her brother nestled in her lap. She decides to watch how Pokemon food, Pokepuffs and normal food items are made.
"Have fun sweetie, it won't be long."
"Love you, mom."
"I love you too, Ells."
Tia arrives downstairs and sits.
"Okay let's begin." Tia tells them.
"First we head to the lab to see Professor Sycamore and get B her starter pokemon." Ash begins.
"Then we went for coffee to meet Alexa to get some info on a man known as Dr. Vaker. Also we shared our love stories with her so she could create a news story in hopes to get Pokephelia legalized. Bianca and Tio shared the formation of their mating marks for the world to see."
"Congratulations you two." Lorenzo tells them hearing the news.
"Thanks Pops." Bianca replies.
"We set up camp for the night. A shiny Phantump steals our food. Bianca ends up catching it and he continues on the journey with us."
Ash swallows preparing to show the horrible events.
"I get arrested. Things only go downhill from here."
"Why were you arrested?" Lorenzo asks surprised.
"Someone followed us and got a picture of us kissing." Tia explains.
"I get put in holding at the Police Station until my trial."
"Then unbeknownst to me Dr. Vaker steals Ellie from the Lockup. I reveal that I am a Latios to the judge who dismisses my case. When I get my stuff back I notice Ellie is missing."
"Dr. Vaker finds us and we confront him."
"Then everyone I love so dear dies except for Ellie and Bianca." His voice quivers.
Ash shows the battle. How they were forced to attack Ellie and everyones following deaths. Upon seeing Tia die again he buries his face in Tia's lap, wracked with sobs.
Tia hugs him tightly kissing his head.
"It's okay hun. You'll never lose us again." Tia soothes.
"We're so sorry Ash." Delia and Lorenzo say solemnly.
He takes a moment before he continues sight sharing. He shows his black out and then Arceus' appearance and most of their conversation and what he was shown.
"So it was Dr. Hyuji and his evil Pokemon all along?"
"Yup." Tia confirms.
"So you're all immortal now?" Delia
"Yes." Ash nods.
"Most of the people who fought that day and a few others were given immortality. For as long as we serve as Guardians for Arceus."
"If you wish Mom and Lorenzo he has extended the offer of immortality to you as well. It's your choice. When you die you'll move on to what comes next but as long as we're alive you will not see us until we decide to die. You will see everyone else who has already passed on. The decision is yours."
"Well as long as you all are alive I would like to be with you." Delia admits.
"I feel the same. We accept the offer." Lorenzo agrees.
"Well the rest of the sight sharing is good so I'll go get Ellie." Ash tells them.
He goes up to the bedroom to get Ellie.
"Hey baby girl!" He says opening the door.
"HI daddy look you're on the TV." Ellie says excitedly.
He looks and sees himeself and laughs. It's a rerun of the Alto Mare tour. He gently picks up Tion trying not to wake him and places him back on the bed.
"All the bad parts of the story are over now so you can come down if you want but first would you like to meet the Pokemon responsible for saving us all?"
"Sure daddy."
Ash picks up the flute that Cilan and Gardenia gifted them. He plays it softly. A black hole opens in the room silently and Arceus appears.
"Hello Ash."
"Hi Lord Arceus."
"Hi little Ellie..." He greets seeing her.
"Hi." She squeaks shyly.
"It's okay young Ellie. You know I created everything in this entire world. Don't be afraid. I love you like your daddy loves you because you're both my children and I love all my children especially good ones like you."
"Ohh." Ellie mumbles in awe staring up to him.
She goes and hugs him.
"Thank you for saving us." She smiles.
"You are most welcome. One day you'll be a strong Guardian just like your mom." He replies projecting a loving aura to her.
"So your mom and Lorenzo wish to accept my offer?"
Ash nods.
"Consider it done. Don't forget that I won't be extending this offer to others in the future."
"Understood. Thanks again Arceus."
"You're welcome Ash. Bye little Ellie. Have a great Christmas."
Ellie waves. Ash takes Tion and they go downstairs. She runs to Tia when she sees her giving her a hug.
"I saw Arceus with daddy." She tells her mother.
Ash gives Tion to his mom setting him in her lap.
"That's wonderful! What did he say?" Tia asks.
"He said I would be strong like you one day and that he would give Grandpa and Grandma immor-termnly?..." Ellie says unsure of how to say it.
"Immortality." Tia corrects laughing softly at her daughters attempt.
"Yeah." Ellie agrees.
"He also said to have a good Christmas and I got to hug him!"
"You're a very lucky girl!" Tia tells her daughter smiling.
Just then they are surprised by Arceus appearing from a swirling black sphere in the centre of the room.
"Hello my Guardians. I thought I would deliver your request in person."
Two orbs of light float towards Delia and Lorenzo and fade into them.
"Delia and Lorenzo you're now immortal like the others."
"Thank you Arceus."
"You're welcome. You will all be together forever if you wish to. The rest of you as I'm sure Ash explained will help me protect this world. I promise you won't be very busy maybe a couple of months a year at your busiest. You will have an assignment soon but until then I love you all and have a Merry Christmas my Guardians!"
"You too. Bye Arceus!" They chorus as he fades.
"Well I'm too tired to sight share the rest..." Ash sighs plopping down beside his wife.
"I got it." Tio says.
"So after Dr. Hyuji, his evil pokemon and LatiX and Y were destroyed we hosted a tournament. The tournament started after government bodies agreed to have the law on human-Pokemon relationships changed upon the decision of the winning trainer. Ash of course fought in the final. His opponent #57 was powerful possibly more so than the rest of us..."
"Side note: never pick a fight with Tia. You will lose. Brutally."
"On that note I'm sure you can guess #57 didn't have a snowballs hope in hell of winning. Thus the law was changed making these relationships universally legal. Thanks to Ash we all are back to living a nice life."
"What happened to TJ?" Lorenzo asks.
"I'm not sure." Tio admits.
"TJ has joined his family in the afterlife and we may not see him again. However he left part of his spirit with Vex. This part of his spirit can't communicate with us. It only can sense us. TJ talked to Dawn before he left. So one day if she feels comfortable sharing it we'll know the full details." Ash informs.
"The spirit allows me to understand what Vex says even though I can't understand pokemon speech. Actually me and Vex are seeing each other. It started a few days after the tournament." Dawn says sheepishly.
"Ra!" Vex says pulling Dawn into his lap, wrapping his wings around her and rests his head on hers.
Dawn scratches the fur on his neck before turning to kiss him.
"That's great!" Brock and the others reply.
So Dawn found her mate.
Ash and Tia look to each other with a knowing smile.
"My lovely talented wife then collected her eight Gym Badges and as Ash predicted she defeated the Kalos League and Diantha on her second attempt." Tio continues.
"Let's all go to bed so we're up early for Christmas. Also Cilan and Gardenia will be here in the morning to Celebrate with us." Ash suggests and they agree.
Ellie spends time with her grandpa assembling Tion's crib.
"Thanks for the help dear." Lorenzo tells Ellie.
"Thanks for letting me help." Ellie says hugging her grandpa.
Ellie goes to get ready for bed.
"Thanks for making Tions crib Pops. You did an excellent job." Tia thanks Lorenzo.
"No worries dear. It was good to get some woodworking in again. Have a goodnight."
Tia goes to put Tion to bed.
"Goodnight baby boy." She whispers kissing him as she carefully lays him in his crib.
Ellie crawls into her bed and Ash pulls the covers over her.
"Goodnight Ellie." Ash tells her kissing her on top of the head.
"If you have a nightmare just come sleep with me and your mom."
"Kay thanks daddy. Love you."
"Love you too Ells. Merry Christmas." He says turning out the light.
Ash and Tia snuggle up in their bed.
"Seems like all is is right in the world again... For now." Ash thinks aloud.
"Yeah." Tia agrees
"You know even if we got nothing for Christmas we'd all be happy we have each other." Ash admits.
"Yes Ashy we would."
"Merry Christmas hun." Tia says kissing him
"Merry Christmas." He kisses back.
"Arceus gave us the best gift of all. All of us together forever." Tia states.
