"I am your Hokage!"
"Yes Sir." Ibiki clenched his jaw keeping his temper only because of the importance of this meeting and the knowledge that his Hellcat would not be happy if he hurt her former teammate.
But Naruto was no longer the knuckle head he had been catching the tone of Ibiki's voice very quickly. "Are you saying you don't trust your Hokage!"
"I trust you sir, you are my Hokage, I would give my life for yours without hesitation." Ibiki spoke quickly, too quickly and Naruto's eye twitched, a habit he had taken from Tsunade unknowingly. "But. . . "
Ibiki huffed. "I trust you with my life, with the village . .but not with my daughter."
"Dammit Ibiki your worse than the teme! Does Sakura know what you've been doing? I bet not!" Naruto stood raising his voice and shaking his blonde hair as he remembered the reports of Ibiki following the potential team Sensei's and scaring the shit out of many of them.
"Hokage-sama , Naruto."
"No Ibiki, they are the best, I've gone through them myself." Naruto stated, never happier than now that he had a growth spurt years ago nearly able to look the ANBU Commander and T&I expert in the eye and extremely pleased that Ibiki had willingly given his word and oath to serve him as Hokage and wouldn't kill him, or hurt him . .he thought.
"None of them are good enough." Ibiki folded his arms, a mulish expression that Naruto knew too well taking over his scarred face
"You think I'd have Angel training with someone not good enough. " As Ibiki clenched his jaw Naruto's mouth dropped open in disbelief before snapping it shut and reached up to rub out the twitch under his eye growling out.
"Fine! You pick but it has to be from this bundle no others! And no slipping ANBU into the Genin team Senesi piles. The policies for picking out Genin teachers are there for a reason, you don't want some Shinobi who's brilliant but a sexist or unable to encourage teaching Angel do you?"
"No Hokage - sama."
It took all of Naruto's will power not to Rasengan the smug smirk from Ibiki's face as he got his way, practically throwing the bundle of files at him. "And Juca and Seko have already been in demanding, as have you to be on the same team as Angel so don't forget them."
Naruto sighed as he sat back into the chair thanking Kami as Ibiki finally left his office, pitying the poor Shinobi that Ibiki would be grilling to decide the best Genin Sensei for his little Angel. Stopping for a minute Naruto admitted to himself it would be a good way to weed out the good teachers from the bad. He really deserved Ramen.
A week later after ignoring the obvious signs of Ibiki's handiwork on many Jounins Naruto gasped in disbelief. "Seriously him! I thought you hated him, why?"
"When neither I or my Hellcat could decide we asked the person we trusted the most with Angel."
"You didn-"
"The Kazekage." Ibiki stated ignoring how quickly Naruto's face fell into a pout, Ibiki was still crazy protective of his daughter, Naruto held in a whimper at the thought of how he would be when she was out on missions.
"But him?"
"He's former ANBU and I know he'll protect her." Ibiki said pleasantly while Naruto waited for the other shoe to drop.
"But Sai?"
"He's her Uncle."
At a loss at what to say Naruto, just shook his head in disbelief and stamped the paper in approval , for the life of him not able to see why Ibiki would want him as Angel's Sensei.

I would offer my own services if not for the position I hold. I have looked over all the intelligence I have on the names you sent me and ruled out many for various reasons.
Of all of them I believed Sakura's former team mate would be suitable, his past actions have shown his loyalty to Konoha but above all to his team and therefore to Angel, his abilities will ensure Angel respects the fact that Jutsu's do not have to be unusual or physically impacting while he will also be able to pass on some ROOT techniques.
Above all as much as I despise admitting it, his emotional conditioning will allow him to make decisions based on what is best for Angel and her team, not what you want.

I was trying to read back to see if I had mentioned Kaida's sensei's anywhere but couldn't find it but in my head I just had Sai popping up and for some reason think I always saw Sai as her Sensei.
