The interview after the coronation.
It has been so so long! But it's time to finish this sucker so I can post the actual final torn page.

After the Coronation (Radio)
Epilogue
Rin: Hello this is Rin and welcome to Everything Contemplated on SPR. Today we come to you with our second exclusive interview with Emissary Yuna. Right after her Coronation too, so you know we are here to give you the best and most accurate news! So Emissary, which story do you want to start with?
[Laughter]
Yuna: Do you mean "Lady Emissary Wows at Coronation with Aeon Spectacular" or "Nighttime Beach Fun: Yuna and Friends the Romp You Didn't See?".
Rin: Whichever you feel comfortable with My Emissary.
Yuna: Please call me Yuna, we've know each other for long enough I think it's possible to drop honorifics.
Rin: Yuna then.
Yuna: Well, all I will say about the beach romp is that I wasn't expecting it to turn into the party that it did. Rikku caught Tidus and I, and then suddenly everyone was on the beach!
Rin: It seemed that you were having a great deal of fun.
Yuna: We were. Is that silly? I hope no one thinks ill of me, but the moon was in the sky and the water so warm. I couldn't help myself.
Rin: You love Besaid very much, don't you.
Yuna: It's where I grew up. I think I should be able to enjoy it just as anyone who grew up here has and continues to do. There is something beautiful about it.
Rin: Alright, so with that out of the way - Aeons.
Yuna: What about them?
Rin: That was very unexpected what happened, lore usually says that to create an Aeon a sacrifice must be present.
Yuna: It was surprising. I can't exactly tell you what happened, one moment it was just me and the Aeons I had called friends for many years and then suddenly there was another new one.
Rin: You must have some idea.
Yuna: None at all! But I do know that when I looked at her - Siren, that's her name - I felt a great deal of love. I like to think that's what she represents, the ideal of love. That we should be kind to each other, that a good life - a solid life - is one where people work together as one. Not because they feel like they must or because it's the right thing to do, but because the goodness in their hearts compels them to. If we all lived by that sort of idealism, I think a peaceful world could be possible. No I know it would be. But that sort of world is very hard to accomplish. I hope that someday we can live up to the integrity I felt in my Aeon that day.
Rin: That's a lot to ask of people.
Yuna: It is. But I think we can live up to it.
Rin: You are very idealistic.
Yuna: I'll take that as a compliment.
Rin: It does sound like something you would do.
Yuna: Thank you.
Rin: In your speech you also spoke about Guado rights. That's been something of a touchy topic for a lot of people because of the legacy Seymour left behind.
Yuna: Seymour wasn't a good man. He had a terrible childhood. A man of two races, where neither Humans or Guado fully accepted him until he had earned his stripes. I can understand that a little bit, being both Al Bhed and Human myself but he let that anger fester. And his pain resulted in a lot of good people getting hurt in his quest for revenge. The Guado, having been cast aside protected him, perhaps because they had nothing else to protect - could not see a hopeful future without him. It's hard to look at someone who wronged you and forgive. But sometimes that's something that has to be done to move on from atrocities. So then, don't we who cast them aside and pushed them and pushed them until they thought this was their only option, shouldn't we forgive? It's hard, but it's also easy.
Rin: So where do you plan to start your forgiveness?
Yuna: They asked for schools, for teaching centers so I think it's our job to help fund them. Not everyone will like it but that sort of education, it's important. Maybe if we learn where we came from, we will not make the same mistakes. Not propagate so much hate, and instead spread love. On both sides.
Rin: That's a tall order, for you to ask people to be okay with that - to spend money that could be spent on Al Bhed things or new facilities in our growing cities on Guado schools.
Yuna: Oh, not you too Rin. It will be difficult but we cannot think of our cities as just ours. They will someday, I hope - belong to the Guado too, Ronso that come down from the Mountain, Al Bhed, and all walks of life. Cities should have no borders for who live in them. That's unfair.
Rin: You speak as if you know.
Yuna: I don't. But I have a cousin who does. Who lived separate from us, a separation born of disdain on both sides. She lives in Kilika now, when she's not on her airship - in a small town. Among people who disdain once kept apart.
Rin: You have curiously left out her name.
Yuna: She knows who she is. She's most likely listening right now.
Rin: I would not put it past her. Most likely preening that you mentioned her.
Yuna: Don't say that!
Rin: I think your cousin will survive. She's very resilient.
Yuna: All of my Guardians are.
Rin: You must cherish them a great deal.
Yuna: They are all very important to me. Everyone has weak days, even me. But if you surround yourself with the right people, even weak days can become triumphs. That is who my Guardians are to me. Rikku, who is brave and powerful and always finds a way to laugh. Lulu who will debate me silly, but never stop listening. Auron who is steady and dependable, but such a force to be reckoned with both in battle but also with the advice he offers. Kimahri who comes through for me no matter the odds, who helped raise me after my father passed. And then Tidus, who I love and whose support and kindness, and passion I could not live without. I am so proud of them.
Rin: We are proud of you Yuna. All of Spira, we are thankful for everything you do for us. Even if we don't always agree with you.
Yuna: Ah. You can't say such things you're making me blush.
Rin: Who knew that I could make the Emissary turn beat red.
Yuna: Ah! I'm blushing harder now. Stop it.
Rin: Well, now that you've turned a shade or red that even reporter Gilly's hair would be jealous of - I think it's time I brought this interview to a close.
Yuna: Thank you for having me.
Rin: Thank you for coming.
[pause]
Rin: Coming up next, we interview Meyvn Nooj and Praetor Baralai. What's next for these two men? Where do they see themselves in the next few years? And just where does Nooj get his canes? Tune in to find out.
END
A/N: Seriously, where does Nooj get his canes?
Thank you for reading! The final torn page should be out sometime later this month.
