Author's Note:
Hello, everyone! This chapter has been a long time in coming. Those of you who have stuck with me through my sporadic update schedule with this story will know what I'm talking about. Please note, this chapter does bring this story from a T rating to M, so please keep that in mind.
We're almost at the end of the second installment of the Adrianna Fawley series! In fact, I'd actually written most of story 3 before starting on story 2, which is one of the reasons it took so long to get this one finished. On the bright side, this should mean that story 3 (which is also the final story as of now) will be updated more regularly.
I hope everyone enjoys this chapter!
Best,
Dragonwing

Ch. 14 – The Lake Trip (Part II):
The following afternoon found everyone enjoying a leisurely time by the lake. Remus and Lily had forgone swimming, both of them being more sensitive to the sun, and were each stretched out on reclining chairs, enjoying their books in the shade.
Remus glanced up as Adrianna shrieked, Gil had swum beneath her and popped the half-witch into the air to land a few feet away with a massive splash.
"Do you think Sirius could glare any harder at Gil?" Lily mused next to him.
"Probably could." Lupin sighed. "He's not really helping himself at all."
"Tell me about it." Lily shaded her eyes with one hand to watch James and Zach race each other through the water. The Seeker's strong arm and shoulder muscles propelled him forward and he reached the goal line, aka Peter, just before Zach. "That Gil is pretty cute though." She giggled.
"I don't know if I should be hearing this, James being one of my best mates and all." Remus chuckled.
Lily swatted him with her book. "You know what I mean."
Remus knew exactly what she meant, but he kept his mouth shut. His friends all knew his preferences, that he liked both men and women, but he'd never bothered to act on them. What chance did he have anyway? None. Not with his "furry little problem" to worry about. Besides, half the school had thought he was secretly dating Adrianna anyway, since he was her go-to dance partner and general escort. It saved him from having to answer a lot of questions. And thank Merlin Adrianna didn't mind either.
As if the gods had heard Remus' thoughts and were testing him, out of the lake strode Gil. His blue swim trunks seemed to shrink up as the water rushed from between the folds, tightening the material around his hips and thighs. Remus swallowed around the sudden lump in his throat and willed himself to focus on the book two inches from his nose.
"Having fun?" Lily asked brightly.
"Absolutely!" Gil picked up a towel from the stack between their chairs and mopped off his face. "Mind if I join you for a bit?"
"Please, have a seat." Lily gestured towards the long end of Remus' chair where his feet rested and the lycanthrope shot her a dirty look from behind his book. The chair creaked as Gil perched on the far end, leaving only a few inches between himself and Remus. With a feeling of intense resignation, Remus lowered the book into his lap. Thankfully, Gil was still focused on Lily.
"Weren't Adrianna's parents supposed to join us?" Gil asked.
Lily shook her hair out of its braid and re-plated it. "They were, but something came up with one of Adrianna's aunts. They wrote and told us to enjoy the week away, but they most likely wouldn't be able to visit while we're here."
"That's too bad." Gil turned that advert-white smile on Remus. "Ri's parents are awesome. I always enjoy seeing them."
"Yes, they're quite nice." Remus mumbled. He could practically feel the heat radiating off the other boy and into his feet. Bloody hell. Was this his wolfish side affecting his hormones?
"Maybe we'll see Mr. and Mrs. Fawley the next time we're all together." Lily gave Remus a knowing look and he wondered how upset James would be if he were to hex her.
OOOOOOOOOO
"We've only got two more days here, Pads." James pulled a clean T-shirt over his head, his already unruly mop of hair stood up on end from the static in the material. He and Sirius were sharing a room in the cabin. While it appeared of average size on the outside, the cabin had been magically extended by Adrianna's father to comfortably accommodate multiple guests. Remus and Peter were in the room next to theirs, Gil and Zach were down the hall, and the girls had claimed the master bedroom that took up most of the third floor. That still left a small room in the attic that had also been converted to sleep at least one guest.
"You think I don't know that?" Sirius grumbled. He was laying across one of the beds, limbs akimbo. The dark haired Gryffindor hadn't even bothered to start changing for dinner yet. An image of Gil fucking Brady tossing Adrianna around in the lake was burned into his brain. Deep down, Sirius knew the jealousy was irrational. Had he told Adrianna how he felt? No. He rolled over and shoved his head under a pillow. "Bloody coward."
"Can't argue with you, mate." James had managed to, sort of, comb his hair into submission.
Sirius lifted his head enough to glare at his best friend. "Every time I try to say something I fucking freeze, Prongs. Or I'm interrupted nearly every time I manage to be alone with her."
"Why not ask her to go for a walk or something after dinner?"
"A walk?"
"We're at a bloody lake in the middle of the woods, you prat. Besides, it's better than anything you've come up with." James flicked his wand and a pile of Sirius' clothes soared out of his bag. Sirius was too late to roll out of the way before the mound of clothing dropped on top of him.
"Prongs!" Sirius struggled against the pair of trousers currently trying to wrap themselves around his head.
"Get dressed. I refuse to spend the entire trip back to England, not to mention however long after that, watching you mope over Adrianna Fawley. Either grow a pair and tell her tonight, or I'll be doing it for you."
"You wouldn't!" Sirius gawked at him, enchanted trousers momentarily forgotten.
"That I would." James straightened his glasses and released the spell on Sirius' clothes. "Adrianna helped me with Lily, so I'm going to help her with you. Now, get off your arse and get dressed. Don't make me pick your clothes out for you too." With that, James sauntered out of the room, leaving behind a mortified Sirius Black.
OOOOOOOOOO
Dinner was largely uneventful, with the exception of Peter's repetitive questions to Gil and Zach about how they managed to survive without magic. Eventually, Lily had conjured a treacle tart just to shut Peter up.
"Thank you." Adrianna whispered into the redhead's ear.
"Don't mention it." Lily hid a smile behind her drink.
Adrianna stood to begin clearing dishes with Remus' and Zach's help, it was their turn to do the dishes. James slid into her vacant chair and grinned at Lily.
"Care to join me for a stroll this evening, Miss Evans?" James waggled his eyebrows above his glasses. Sirius shot him a dark look from across the table.
Lily laughed and gently pushed him back. "As tempting as that sounds, I'd hate to feel like we're excluding everyone. Shall we not have another campfire tonight?"
"You should go." said Gil. "We'll get the fire going and you can always join us later. Besides, there are some great trails around here. Ri and I found one a few years ago that ends at one of the best night views of the lake."
Sirius rolled his eyes and opened his mouth to comment, when James kicked him under the table. He yelped and grabbed his shin.
"Oi! Sorry about that, mate." James stood and stretched. "It's that damned Quidditch injury acting up again."
"What Quidditch injury?" Lily looked up at him.
"Oh, you know…there've been several." James took her by the hand and pulled Lily to her feet. "You sure I can't persuade you to take that walk, now that we have Gil's seal of approval?"
"Alright, alright!" Lily shook her head. "Let me just go tell Adrianna."
Gil, Laura, and Peter began gathering the rest of the dishes. Sirius pushed his chair back roughly and stalked through the cabin to where James was waiting by the front door.
"What the fuck, Prongs?" he hissed.
"You were about to put your foot in it, my lad." James sighed. "Alienating your beloved's childhood friends won't help your case."
"When did you become so rational all of a sudden?" Sirius' gaze narrowed.
James grinned. "I guess Lily is rubbing off on me."
"I didn't need to hear that."
"Seriously, now's your chance to talk to our resident half-witch." James lowered his voice. "While the others are cleaning up and building the fire and whatnot, ask her to step outside with you." He spotted Lily walking out of the kitchen. "For the love of Merlin, do it for all our sakes."
Lily reached them. "Ready? I double checked the trail route with Adrianna."
"I'm always ready to spend time with you." James took her hand and the couple disappeared into the night.
Sirius fidgeted in the cabin's den until the sound of washing dishes ended. Laura, Gil, Peter, and Zach had already gone outside to build the campfire. Remus soon wandered out of the kitchen, and immediately noticed how agitated his friend was.
"You okay, Pads?" Remus asked.
"Yeah…yeah, I'm alright Moony." Sirius took a deep breath and forced himself to stand still. "Is, uh, is Adrianna coming out too?"
"Sure, she is." Remus regarded him for a second before light dawned in the werewolf's hazel eyes. "Are you finally going to tell her?"
"Tell me what?" Adrianna walked into the room.
"Fuck." Sirius muttered, a blush spread across his face.
Remus covered for Sirius to give the other boy a moment to recover. "I'm going to join the others outside before Peter steals all of the chocolate for the s'mores."
"That's probably a good idea." She chuckled. Remus gave her hand a squeeze, then made a quick exit.
Adrianna slipped on a pair of sandals she'd left by the door. "Shall we go outside too?"
"Wait." Sirius grabbed her wrist, then quickly dropped it when she gave him a curious look.
"What is it?"
Sirius shoved his hands into his pockets to keep them from doing something stupid. "I was wondering …would you like to take a bit of a walk?"
"You mean, down the trail after James and Lily?" she asked.
"Not the same way, no." He snorted. "I don't fancy walking up on the two of them snogging."
Adrianna laughed and Sirius relaxed just a little. "Sure, let's go."
Sirius blinked at her. Was it really that bloody simple? Want to go for a walk? Sure, let's go. Bloody hell.
"Are you coming?" She was already half-out the door.
"Er, right. Yes." He caught up with her and they walked down around the opposite side of the house from the fire pit, towards the sandy lake front.
Their walk was quiet, but not uncomfortably so. The light from the nearly half-full moon reflected off the lake. Combined with the glow of the lights from their cabin and others dotting the shoreline, it was fairly easy to pick their way along the beach. Sirius couldn't help himself, he kept sneaking glances at Adrianna as they walked. She was dressed in a simple T-shirt and pair of shorts, but her half-succubus skin practically glowed in the darkness. His fingertips still tingled from when he'd touched her wrist earlier. The unreal softness of her skin never failed to surprise him.
They eventually reached the dock closest to the cabin. Adrianna stepped onto it, the boards creaked beneath her feet. Sirius followed her to the end, where they had an unobstructed view of the lake and the dark outline of woods that stretched along the opposite bank.
"It's always so peaceful out here." She sighed. "I'm glad you were all able to come with me."
"Me too." Sirius heard his own pulse pounding in his ears. "Listen, Adrianna, there's something I've been wanting to talk to you about."
Adrianna's smoky grey eyes looked up at him, and Sirius felt a surge of adrenaline rush through his chest.
He took a step towards her. "Adrianna, I…"
"HEY, RI!" Came a shout from down the shoreline.
Adrianna's head whipped around, leaving Sirius to stare at her hair instead of her eyes.
"Gil?" She called back.
The American boy was a mere speck in the distance, and yet Sirius' hand itched to grab his wand.
"YEAH! Wanted to let you know James and Lily are back! They got lost, decided to turn around!" Gil shouted.
"Thanks!" Adrianna yelled and waved at him. The word 'thanks' echoed off the lake water. She laughed. "Gil's going to wake the neighbors on the other side of the lake."
"Un-fucking-believable!" Sirius raked a hand through his hair.
The smile faded from Adrianna's face as she turned back to him. "What was that?"
"Who does that prat think he is, eh?" Sirius glared down the shoreline, but Gil had walked back towards the cabin.
"What the hell, Sirius?" Adrianna frowned. "What did Gil ever do to you?"
He threw his hands up. "He's a fucking disrespectful pain in the arse! That's what he did."
"Sirius Black." Adrianna hissed. "You should mind what you say about people you don't even know."
"What else am I supposed to bloody think?" He snapped, pacing back and forth across the width of the dock. "I don't even know why you put up with him. Unless you fancy him, which is too sickening to think about. He's always touching you, whispering in your ear, acting like a fucking prat – OI!" His eyes bulged out and he grabbed futilely at the air when Adrianna Fawley shoved the angry Gryffindor off the dock and into the lake.
Sirius came up sputtering and sneezing like a wet dog. Adrianna knelt down, grabbed the collar of his shirt and hauled his face mere inches from hers.
"You listen carefully Sirius Black. Gil is one of the most important people in the world to me and no one, not even you, gets to tell me what I can or can't do." She loosened her grip. "Besides, there could never be anything romantic between us. Gil is gay."
Sirius blinked dumbly up at her. "He's…Pardon?"
"He's gay." She huffed. "But the more important point was that he's one of my best friends, so I need you to be the nice person I know is in there somewhere."
Then, she kissed him.
Sirius Black was in a lake, in the middle of the night, soaking wet - pretty sure a frog just climbed up the leg of his jeans - and he was being kissed by Adrianna Fawley.
She pulled away, studying his face carefully. The scant moonlight reflected down off her porcelain skin and he felt the cool tingle of her magic wash across his face.
"Do you understand now?" She asked softly.
"Absolutely." Sirius reached up out of the water, wrapped his arms around her waist, and pulled the half-witch in with him.
She broke the surface of the lake with a screech. Water streamed down through her curls and she stared at him in shock. Sirius took the opportunity to grasp the back of her neck and press their lips together again. Luckily, the water was shallow enough that they could somewhat stand on the bottom. The slick lake mud squished unnoticed into their shoes and between their toes. Adrianna wrapped both arms around his neck and hugged him close. When they pulled apart again, Sirius planted a kiss on the tip of her nose and grinned.
"So, friend Gil is gay, huh?"
She rolled her eyes. "That's the only part you can focus on? Yes he is, and he's developed a little crush on Master Remus Lupin as a matter of fact."
"What?" Sirius blinked again at this new bit of information. "Remus?"
Adrianna frowned. "Don't tell me you didn't know that Remus is bi."
"No, I mean, of course I knew, it's just…well, he's never actually showed any interest in another bloke before. Or a girl, for that matter."
"Maybe he just hasn't met the right person yet." She shrugged. "I know they've only just met, but Gil could be good for him."
"Maybe…" Sirius glanced towards the cabin, then back at her. "I don't want to talk about that now though." He swiftly leaned in and kissed her again. The gentle current of the lake lapped around them. They kissed for a while, until the distinct sound of hooting and whistling reached their ears.
All of their friends were gathered down the shoreline, cheering. Adrianna realized they must have been gone longer than she'd thought.
"There you are!" Lily giggled.
"All right, Ri!" Gil called out.
"About bloody time!" James added.
"Woo!"
"Go for it, Pads!"
"Oh, for Morgana's sake!" Adrianna blushed. She slipped one arm off Sirius's neck and wrapped it around his waist. "Hold on."
"Wha –?" He barely had a chance to tighten his grip before they winked out in a puff of silver smoke.
When he opened his eyes again, Sirius found Adrianna had apparated them to the small room in the cabin's attic. It was definitely a better alternative to the lake. Their clothes were completely soaked, feet caked in muck from the lake bottom. They were making a puddle on the floor.
And that's when the frog wriggled out of his jeans leg and hopped under the bed.
"Cheeky little bugger." Sirius grumbled.
Adrianna laughed and Sirius went to reach for her again, but she evaded him.
"Come with me." Adrianna took his hand, leading the way to the tiny attic bathroom.
He followed obediently. There was barely enough floor space for the two of them to stand between the shower and the sink. Adrianna shut the door and turned on the shower full blast. The air around them began to steam up.
Reaching up, she brushed a lock of wet hair from his face and kissed him. "I think we need to clean up a bit, don't you?"
"I do, at that." Sirius glanced around. "Not much room to work though, is there?"
"Well, the shower does take up most of the room." She looked up at him through her dark lashes.
"The…it…" Sirius forgot how to speak when he understood what she was suggesting.
She touched his face again. "Sirius?"
"Are you sure, Adrianna?" He felt like a prize idiot for even asking, but how could he not? Not when he'd nearly blown his chances entirely out there on the dock. "I don't mind using another shower if you're not ready for me to see you…well…"
"I'm sure if you are." Adrianna smiled. "It's been three years, if you think about it, I'd say that's long enough."
Sirius buried his fingers in her wet curls and kissed her soundly. Reaching up, she touched her fingers to the top of his shirt and all of the buttons holding it closed unfastened at the same time.
"Bloody hell." Sirius pulled back and looked down at himself.
She smirked. "Succubus trick. My mother doesn't know one of my aunts taught me that one."
He grinned and shrugged out of the sodden shirt. "Feel free to demonstrate any other succubus tricks anytime you want."
Her soft hands pressed into his chest and he shivered. "One trick at a time, Sirius. I wouldn't want to overwhelm you."
With a groan, Sirius kissed her again. He'd kissed other girls at Hogwarts, usually while trying to convince himself to get over Adrianna, but none of them compared to this. Of course, he knew part of it had to be because of her lineage, but fuck if that mattered right now. Sirius was too busy getting lost in the impossible softness of Adrianna's lips, of the perfect way her tongue slid against his, of the almost velvet-like texture of her skin.
Adrianna nibbled on his lower lip and tilted her head back. "We're going to run out of hot water at this rate." Her voice had grown huskier the longer they kissed, and the sound sent a lightning bolt straight to Sirius' groin.
"Right." With great effort, Sirius pulled himself away from her. "Right." He toed off his shoes, wrenched his wand out of his pocket and magicked them clean before sending them out of the room along with his shirt. He placed his wand on the sink and looked at Adrianna. She'd removed her own shoes and stood there, looking pointedly at his jeans.
Sirius swallowed. She was going to give him a heart attack if she kept looking at him like that.
Getting his bloody jeans off was more trouble than it should have been. The wet denim clung to his skin and Sirius was ready to grab his wand again and banish them away, when Adrianna's hands covered his and she helped him pull them down. Sirius had no bloody clue how watching her help him struggle out of wet clothes could be arousing, but who was he to question a gift from the gods? Now, he was only wearing his boxers and there was no hiding how much he wanted her. Not even a little bit.
Slowly, a little tentatively even, Sirius reached for the bottom of Adrianna's shirt, but she stopped him.
"I'll show you another succubus trick." She smiled. There was a brief chill of succubus magic in the tiny bathroom, and without any preamble or ceremony, her clothes disappeared. Adrianna was standing naked in front of him, and Sirius forgot how to breathe.
Literally.
He. Could. Not. Breathe.
Adrianna grabbed his face with both hands and kissed him, forcing him to either pull air into his lungs or pass out. One of her hands slipped down around his waist, pulling him closer. Sirius' brain finally kicked back on and he wrapped his arms around her. It was only when he was pressed flush against the beautiful half-witch for the first time that Sirius realized she'd performed the same tricky succubus clothes-removing maneuver on his boxers.
As embarrassing as he would later realize it would have been, Sirius nearly came there and then. Dear fucking Merlin, if he felt this over-sensitized and aroused from kissing a half-succubus, how did anyone ever survive kissing one of Adrianna's aunts?
Adrianna began walking backwards into the shower, obliging him to follow her in order to not break the kiss. The water was near-scalding on his chilled skin, but he quickly adjusted. Soap, washcloths, and a bottle of shampoo appeared on the waist-high shelf built into the shower. Adrianna let go of him long enough to lather up a cloth, then she began rubbing it across his chest and over his shoulders. Sirius' eyes drifted closed and he sighed as she worked her way around him, she even knelt down and ran the plush cloth over his legs and feet. He was just beginning to wonder if she planned to completely avoid one particular body part, when a soap-slick hand wrapped around him and Sirius' eyes flew open. He staggered forward, one hand coming up to brace himself on the wall behind her.
"Don't get too ahead of yourself." She murmured into his ear, fingers moving at a tortuously slow pace. "It's your turn to wash me."
Groaning, Sirius tangled one hand into her hair and pulled just hard enough to tilt her head back. He pushed her back against the shower wall, dragging his lips down the column of her throat and pushing one thigh between hers.
Adrianna gasped and arched against him, the washcloth dropped from her other hand.
"Oh, I'll be doing that, love." He groaned before biting down on her collar bone. "But first, there are a few more important matters to attend to."
Sirius took her hands and wrapped them around his neck. He lifted Adrianna and sat her on the shelf, pushing various shower items out of the way. Cupping her breasts, he captured her lips again, the steady stream of water from the shower beating into his back. He slid one hand down to caress her thigh, before drifting inwards to stroke the small bundle of nerves waiting for him there.
"Sirius!" She writhed beneath his touch, nails digging into his shoulders.
"Adrianna." He used his other hand to touch her jaw, coaxing her to look at him again. "I need you to know, I'm in love with you."
There was another cool wash of magic over his face before she responded. "I know, Sirius." Adrianna kissed him and sighed against his lips. "I love you too."
That was the last thing either of them said for a long time.
OOOOOOOOOO
"They're not coming out of there anytime soon, are they?" Remus asked James as the two boys set up a game of wizard's chess in James' room. Everyone else in the cabin had gone to bed.
"I think not, my dear Moony." James encouraged a battered knight to stand on its place.
"I didn't think so." Remus blushed. Though the blood rushing to his face wasn't from the knowledge that Sirius and Adrianna had finally gotten together, it was more what Adrianna's friend Gil had said to him on his way upstairs.
"I guess a 'walk' must be the secret code around here." Gil had chuckled as they'd climbed to the second floor landing.
"It does look that way." Remus coughed.
They'd reached the room Gil was sharing with Zach. "Maybe tomorrow we can take a walk around the lake ourselves, if you're interested."
Remus had stared wide-eyed at the blonde American. Gil had shrugged casually and walked into his room. "Just a thought. Goodnight, Remus."
"Goodnight."
"Oi, Moony?" James tossed a pawn at him. "You ready to play?"
"Er, yeah! Yes, of course." Remus cleared his throat.
A few quiet minutes of chess later, James raised an eyebrow at him. "You cast a silencing charm up there, didn't you?"
The werewolf rolled his eyes. "Of course."
OOOOOOOOOO
End Note:
Talk about a SLOW BURN! Even I didn't realize it was going to take me this long to get Sirius and Adrianna together. This is also the most detailed love scene I've ever written for this site. In the past, I've relied more on the imagination of the reader. But this scene seemed so perfect for these two characters' first time together.
What's your opinion? Do you like love scenes that leave more to the imagination, or are more descriptive sexy times your cup of tea?
