A Few Hours Later
A sweaty and heavily breathing Elektra collapsed on top of Matt's equally sweaty body after several hours of rigorous sight seeing with his eyesight restored. "Oh my, was that absolutely wonderful." Purred Elektra against his chest and even kissing it as he wrapped his arms around her.
Laughter came from him as he kissed the top of her head. "I believe I'm inclined to agree on that. Furthermore, one has to wonder why you haven't been labeled as a wonder of the world."
Elektra laughed and looked up at him and couldn't help but feel a shiver of pleasure go down her back with how he was looking at her. "Uncultured heathens, the lot of them. But I'll personally take being a wonder of your world instead, Matthew." She told him softly and kissed him on the lips.
"Especially as its a much better one in my view."
"Well, I can't argue with that one."
Unless it involved life or death or actions that weren't exactly moral, Matt wasn't necessarily inclined to argue against his wife's arguments otherwise. And as they drifted off to a well deserved sleep, a part of Elektra wondered how long her Matthew would have his sight. And if it meant his days as Daredevil were over if this was truly a permanent thing.
Elsewhere At Karen's
"So, that was pretty much a bust." Grumbled Foggy as he and Karen both sat down heavily on her couch at the same time.
"Well, not necessarily. We got the Sawtons in touch with Professor Xavier so now Mary can learn more about her gift."
"True. But that didn't tell us if Matt's gonna have his eyesight back permanently or not." Foggy grumbled once more.
Karen looked at him for a moment. "Are you hoping it is and that this'll mean he'll stop being Daredevil?"
He looked at her in return. "Oh? And you aren't hoping for the same thing? I mean, we don't even know what kind of effect this has on his senses! And its not like he's saying much himself on that!"
Granted, considering Elektra had his full attention right now, he wasn't too surprised about his best friend not having said anything just yet. And naturally, given past histories and all, Foggy still had some doubts about her, Matt, and their marriage. Karen sighed. "You're right, I am thinking and hoping for the same. But I'm just worried if this isn't permanent, it might put him in a bad place..."
"You and me both sister."
But he, Karen, and the others would no doubt be around to help him through it. Both let out sighs. "I think we need drinks." Foggy said.
"Mm-hmm."
