...It wasn't really Benny, after all, who had did this to him.
As his vision grew darker and he felt really weak, like he was about to collapse, the prince saw Benny's laughing image suddenly shift and change into Alissa. That's when he knew he had been tricked by her.
"A..Aliss...a..." Ethan muttered out weakly, as he tried to draw his sword to attack her, only to wind up dropping it instead onto the floor. Soon after he too fell to the floor, as everything around him went dark.
Alissa stood there, cackling even louder at what she just did. "Finally! He's dead!" she declared happily out of pride, as she continued to laugh victoriously. "Oh! I almost forgot!" exclaimed Alissa suddenly in delight and fake realization, as she then snapped her fingers.
"NOOOOO!" screamed an agonizing and pain filled cry of terror and despair from a small corner of the room. It was Benny. Who had witnessed everything from afar in the room (as Alissa had forced him to watch as she tricked the love the of his life into believing she was him only to get close enough to kill him) by trapping him in a magic and invisible bubble that was apparently also sound proof, as well. He wasn't wearing the enchanted shackles (that were preventing him from using his magic the entire time she held him captive) anymore due to Alissa taking them off of him, earlier after creating the bubble. Unfortunately, though, the invisible/sound proof bubble spell of hers was too strong of magic for him to break with his own. So, he remained trapped inside it until either she deactivated the spell or someone else powerful enough could.
The moment Alissa let the barrier down, he ran towards his beloved prince, whom laid unmoving and lifeless on the floor. Once he reached him, he instantly pulled out the knife that was still lodged in his boyfriend's stomach.
"Ethan! Wake up! Open your eyes for me, please!" cried Benny desperately, as tears ran down his face as he tried to get Ethan to open his eyes. He looked down to wear blood was still spilling out of the knife wound and placed his hands right above it. Benny's hands then began to glow, as he used a healing spell on the wound to close it up in the hopes of maybe saving Ethan's life.
But sadly, once the wound was healed, Ethan's eyes still remained closed. This made Benny even more frantic. "Ethan? Ethan! Don't you die on me! Please! I...I need you, still! I can't live without you!" he shouted dramatically out of fear, worry, and anger. But no response ever came from Ethan.
Alissa stood there, grinning pleasantly like a Cheshire cat at seeing the sad and heartbroken spellmaster crying over his dead lover of a prince, as he pathetically begged him to wake up. Like that'll happen!
"Face it, wizard. He's dead. And never coming back." she said to him coldly with a hint of glee in her voice. "I win, finally." she gloated, smiling happily.
Benny chose to ignore her, as he continued to cry heartbreakingly over the death of his beloved prince charming of a boyfriend. Benny knew that she was right and that Ethan's soul was now gone from this world, to never return again. Leaving Benny's very own soul feeling incomplete and empty inside. Heartbroken, he laid his head down onto Ethan's lifeless form, where his chest was and cried. He was lost without him.
Alissa laughed some more at seeing his pain. Her whole planned worked out more beautifully, than she hoped it would! Today, was one of the best days of her evil life, ever! Now, all that was left to do of her revenge plan is to finish off the prince's little friends. Then she could celebrate!
Just then, Evelyn and the vamps all came rushing in to see the devastating scene before them. Benny crying over an unconscious Ethan on the floor, with blood covering Ethan's abdomen.
"Oh, my god!" gasped out Sarah shockingly, covering her mouth with her hands. "Is he...?" she then asked reluctantly, afraid of what the answer might be.
Hearing Sarah's voice, Benny lifted his head up to look at the girl with a sad expression, not wanting to say the words. So, instead he only nodded sullenly to answer her, before breaking down in tears.
"Oh, Benny." said Sarah, sympathetically to him, as she hurried over to him to embrace him in a comforting like hug. Soon tears of her own began to fall from her eyes, as well.
Not knowing what else to do, Benny cried even harder into Sarah's hug.
Even Erica, Rory, and Evelyn had tears in their eyes, as well. Erica felt like she could beat the hell out of something, right now, from all the anger and hurt she was feeling, right now. When Rory looked over, he could tell what she was thinking right then. So, instead he reached over and took Erica's tightly balled up fist in his hand. The moment their hands made contact, she loosen her grip and allowed her fingers to intertwine with his. Holding hands with Rory did make her feel somewhat more calmer and comforted now, as she felt the anger in her ebb away, but she still felt sad, though. For Benny's sake.
Alissa took notice of their arrival and grinned. "Ah, so nice of you to finally join us!" she greeted gleefully to them. "As you can see, your beloved Prince Ethan is DEAD, finally! Ahahaha!" she gloated evilly and then laughed joyously at her greatest feat. She was loving every minute of it, too! Seeing the sad and remorseful looks on their faces. It was like pure gold to her. "And now, I'm afraid it's your turn to die, next." she then stated menacingly, as she narrowed her eyes spitefully at them. Then she smirked. "Starting with the pathetic wizard boy, first!" she announced pointedly with a hint of glee in her tone.
Just then, Alissa fired a blast of magic straight at Benny.
Thinking quickly and being the only one close enough to stop the attack from hitting Benny in time, Sarah bolted up in front of the spellmaster and took the shot, instead. Sarah cried out in pain from the blast before falling to the floor, hurt and injured. The blast didn't kill her (thanks to her being a vampire), but it was strong enough to stun her a bit.
"Sarah!" shouted Erica worriedly.
"Don't...worry about me. I'm...alright, Erica." replied Sarah painfully, as she tried to get up. She winced a bit from the small bit of pain she was still feeling from the attack, too, when she did.
"How dare you hurt my best friend!" hissed Erica angrily at the witch, as she bared her fangs at her.
"It's not my fault, if she wants to be the one to die first, deary." sassed Alissa back, nonchalantly like with a half shrug, like she didn't really care.
Furious now, Erica took off to attack the evil woman, with Rory going in after her. Before long, everyone was battling it out. Erica, Sarah (after recovering from the recent attack she just took for Benny, earlier), Rory, and Evelyn versus Alissa.
The only ones not partaking in the fight was a depressed Benny and a lifeless Ethan.
Benny sat there, not being able to take his eyes off Ethan's dead body. "Oh, Ethan..." he said to him grief-stricken, but in a soft and gentle tone, as she tenderly ran the back of his hand against Ethan's cheek. "I'm so sorry. This is all my fault. I should have never of said that dumb, stupid spell that brought you into my world. Then...maybe you would've still been alive in this world and I would never have to know this heartache inside of me from losing you, so badly, like this." he said sorrowfully in an apologetic tone.
Benny sat there just staring at him, as he blamed himself for Ethan's death. He didn't know how he'll ever be able to go on without the one person who means so much in his life. He remembers how before Ethan ever came into his life, how lonely and sad he secretly felt inside at the thought of never being able to find true love. Until that fateful day, when he accidentally blundered that spell to summon the princess from his fairytale, but instead got him. At first, he wasn't so sure about how he felt about Ethan or even being gay for that matter, but eventually in time, while getting closer to Ethan and learning that it was ok for him to like another dude, opened up a whole new world for him that he never thought he'd get to experience. Let alone with a guy, but he was happy that he did and that the prince had decided to stay in Whitechapel with him so that they could be together. That's one of the things he loved about Ethan. How kind, selfless, compassionate, and considerate he was towards others. Especially, to him.
Benny thought he would have his entire life to be able to love Ethan and to be with him. Unfortunately, though...fate had other plans for them, as it seemed. And now here he is...once again feeling alone and lost only this time...without the man he loves. His whole world, shattered and broken, it seems. To Benny, there was no happy future without Ethan in it. Who knew that loving something so much could also hurt you so badly, in ways you never imagined?
As he sat there (knowing he probably should be helping his friends and grandma takedown Alissa, at the moment) moping and mourning the loss of his boyfriend, something seemed to catch the spellmaster's attention.
He looked over to see Ethan's sword, The Light Of Amaria, laying there next to him. Benny had no idea what possessed him to do it, but he reached over to pick up the weapon. He then placed it on top of Ethan's body (which was facing upwards, since he was laying flat on his back), with the handle part resting along his chest and the blade part running along the rest of his body, with the tip of the blade pointing towards his feet. Then Benny reached down to take Ethan's hands and placed them on top of the sword's hilt to make it appear as if he was holding it.
"I wish...it didn't have to be this way and that you were still here with me, alive and well, my love." stated Benny sadly with regret, as he felt like crying again. "Wherever your spirit may be at now, just know...that I'll always love you, Prince Ethan Morgan of Amaria. No matter where you are." he said tenderly and wholeheartedly, as he tried to keep himself from crying. He smiled loving at Ethan, before then leaning down to his face to place a gentle loving kiss on Ethan's lips one last time, to say goodbye.
As he sat back up again, after the kiss, a small tear had slipped from one of his eyes. Shimmering and sparkling in the light as it fell, thus landing on the sword's hilt.
That's when something amazing happened.
Suddenly, the sword began to glow a bright white color, as it reacted to Benny's heartfelt tear.
"W-wha...what's happening to him?!" Benny asked in astonishment and confusion, while staring at the strange light and his boyfriend's body, as he had no idea what was even happening.
With him being the closest to it, Benny could feel the warmth that the light gave off, as well, as something else. Love.
The light emanating off the sword was enough to stop the fighting that was going on just behind him and had drew everyone's attention towards them.
"What's going on here?! What is that god awful light?!" demanded Alissa fearfully, as she flinched away from the light, hating the feeling of love and warmth it gave off.
But everyone just ignored her, as none of them had a clue as to what was happening, as well. Instead, they all just stood there staring on in awe and wonder at the light.
Tthe light lasted for only a minute or so, before it finally started to dim and eventually die out completely. After the light had faded away, a miracle happened.
As everyone looked on with anticpation, Ethan's eyes suddenly flew wide opened, as he took a sharp inhale of air in through his mouth. Bring life back to the once lifeless prince, again.
"Ah! He's a zombie, now!" shrieked Rory frighteningly (like a little girl) all of a sudden, as he tried to hide behind his girlfriend for protection.
Erica rolled her eyes at him and just elbowed him in the gut for being stupid and such a coward. "Geez, you moron! Relax! He's not a zombie!" she said reassuringly with a hint of sarcasm and annoyance in her tone. "Now, hush!" she scolded him, as she went back to observing the scene before her.
Rory didn't say anything after that. Instead, he just rubbed his stomach, where she had elbowed him at, and gave her this hurt and embarrassed kind a look. In his defense, that's usually what it means when a person comes back from the dead, like that. At least, in the movies it did. But then again...he suppose Ethan could've came back as a demon or some other creature of the night?! Like, a vampire! If he came back as a vampire then in Rory's mind that would be so awesome cause then he could show him all the cool and neat vampire-y stuff, then!
He was about ready to voice his opinion again on the matter, as he perked up at the idea of the prince possibly being a bloodsucker like him, now, when suddenly nothing came out as he opened his mouth to speak. Instead, he flinched at the stern warning like glare that Erica had given him when she noticed him about ready to say something possibly stupid, yet again. So, Rory not wanting to face the wrath of Erica Jones, decided it was best just to stay quiet for now.
After panting a few more times, Ethan looked up at Benny in confusion. "Benny?" he said curiously, as he had no clue what was happening. The last thing he remembers was the pain of the knife wound and him suddenly growing very cold, as the world around him started to fade to black.
Benny (who now had tears of joy streaming down his face) nodded frantically at the sound of his name coming from those lips again, as he gently grasped both sides of Ethan's face with his hands and looked at him happily.
Ethan was still confused for a minute, as he tried to grasp the situation of things, right now. Like, why was Benny crying and looked so happy to see him awake, all of a sudden.
After sitting up, that's when it hit him suddenly. He died!
"Oh, my...I was dead, wasn't I?!" questioned Ethan frantically in disbelief, but somehow he knew it was true.
Benny didn't say anything. Instead, he just nodded. This caused Ethan to almost go bug-eyed. "I can't believe it!" exclaimed Ethan inredulously, as he looked down at his hands for whatever reason. Then he returned his gaze back to Benny. "But...how?" he then asked. "Don't tell me you used some sort of spell to bring me back, did you?" he then asked accussingly to his boyfriend, as he narrowed his eyes at him suspiciously, then. He remembers Benny telling him about the time he tried raise some poor girl's dead dog from the grave just to impress her. Only for it to end terribly in the end, as he wound up accidently raising more dead creatures, as well. And they all turned out to be demons, instead. He even remembers him explaining why that happened, as well, and how much trouble he was in with his grandma, too.
"Wha-?!" gapped Benny offensively in disbelief and shock. "Nooo! I swear! You can ask them, if you don't believe me!" he defended with a slight huff, as he pointed over to his grandma and the others.
Ethan hadn't even realized that they were even there, until he had said something. Ethan then looked over at them for confirmation.
"It's true, sweetheart. Benny didn't do this." confirmed Mrs. Weir, easily enough.
"Thank god! Especially, after what happened the last time he tried to raise the dead to impress some girl. If he ever decided to raise something like that from the dead again, then I might be forced to make him part of the dead, as well, then." quipped Sarah snarkily in relief, with a smirk.
Benny shot her a dirty look then for a second, before turning his attention back to Ethan, who was still very puzzled by everything.
"If it wasn't you then...how am I alive, again?" wondered Ethan curiously.
"I'm not sure how, but...I think it was the sword." replied Benny, reluctantly, as he wasn't exactly too sure about it himself. "During my grieving for you, I had place your sword on top of you and had placed your hands on the hilt part. Then I had said a few touching words to you first before leaning down to give you one last kiss. I was crying, though, and I think one or maybe two of my tears might've fallen and landed on the sword. Next thing I know, the sword started to glow and here we are! You sitting here breathing and very much alive, now!" he explained, to the best of his knowledge.
"Perhaps I can provide a bit more clarity to the matter, dears." interrupted Evelyn politely then, as she spoke up with a possible explanation as to how the sword brought Ethan back to life, again. "You see, before we departed from the castle to save you Benny, I decided to pay the castle's library a quick little visit for any books that may wind up useful on our journey. That's when I came across this one book that had detailed information in it about Amaria's Light. Curious, I decided to read up on it and learn everything that I could about the magical weapon that Ethan possesses." she explained, earning eager and curious expressions from the teenagers.
"Really, Grandma? What did you learn about it?" asked Benny curiously.
"That this sword is truly special and very powerful." she said fondly with a smile, pointing at Amaria's Light. "Remember, how you learned that the sword gets it's power from love?"
Benny and Ethan, both nodded at her, then. "Well, then...apparently is has the power to read one's heart through contact. And when Benny's heartfelt tear landed on it, it was able to read his love for Ethan that resides within his heart. In doing so, it was able to sense his greatest desire, which was for his beloved prince to not be dead, as well, as the heartache he felt from losing him, too. Since their love for one another is so strong, the sword decided to grant Benny's wish and bring Ethan back to life, again." explained Mrs. Weir.
Everyone was amazed by this, as they all stood there with amazed looks on their faces. "No way...you mean, the sword has the power to bring people back to life, again?!" questioned Benny astonishingly.
"Yes, but it can only bring the person back to life again only once, though. And that's it." replied Evelyn. "According to the book, that is." she added with a smile.
Ethan was amazed by what Benny's grandma had just told them. He glanced down at his weapon (which now laid on the floor) in awe and wonder. He had no idea just how powerful the sword really was! Or that it even possess such a power, like that, either!
"Annoying hunk of junk!" sneered Alissa, suddenly, gaining everyone's attention, again, as they had all forgotten about her even being there after the miracle they just witnessed. "I never knew the damn thing actually had such a power!" she said distastefully about the sword. "No matter! Cause, either way, once I destroy you all then there won't be any beating hearts left for that accursed blade to draw any power or strength from, anymore! Meaning no more back to life miracles! Ah-hahaha!" boast Alissa proudly, as she then laughed maniacally to mock them.
Fueled by his courage and hatred of the witch, Ethan reached over to pick up Amaria's Light and then stood up (with a bit of assistance from Benny to help keep him stable while getting up) to boldly face her.
"You shall not win, Alissa! For we will defeat you and put you to rest, for good, this time!" he claimed bravely to her, with a determined expression on his face.
"How?!" challenged Alissa amusingly. "For killing me would do nothing as I am only but a spirit now. So, killing me would only mean killing the girl, instead." she said, gesturing towards the body she was possessing while grinning madly at the prince.
"She's right, Ethan! Alissa has no physical form, anymore! Remember?!" remembered Benny astonishingly, as he had to agree with the what the witch had said. Even if he didn't like the fact of having to agree with her, very much.
"Yes. I remember, now. She's using some poor, innocent girl's body as a vessel for herself." recalled Ethan bitterly, as he glared spitefully at the young Earth Priestess who was being possessed by Alissa's evil spirit. "The dastardly evil witch." he added, in the same tone.
Ethan then felt an encouraging hand on his shoulder. When he looked over, he saw it was from Benny, who was giving him a reassuring smile.
"Don't worry, E! I'm sure there's a way to save the girl, while also defeating Alissa, too!" reassured Benny confidently to his boyfriend, to help boost his morale a bit. Benny had a feeling that the prince might've felt a bit discouraged or disappointed a bit, after realizing that. He knew how much Ethan always tried his hardest to help those in need. Especially, damsels! Considering he was a prince and all, and that's what princes do! At least, the old fashioned fairytale ones, that is. He really had no clue if the same thing applied to modern day princes or not.
Prince Ethan smiled fondly back at the spellmaster, at his kind and thoughtful gesture. He can always count on Benny to help boost his morale a bit, whenever he's feeling down about something.
Bored with their little "don't give up" moment together, Alissa decided to jump in by firing a magic blast of energy at them.
"Benny! Look out!" yelled out Ethan urgently, as he caught Alissa's action from the corner of his eye.
Benny looked over and on instinct he created a magical barrier to protect them from her attack. "Phew! That was a close one!" he said, afterwards in relief. Then he glared up at Alissa, cockily. "Sorry, Alissa! But not today!" teased Benny smugly to her. Then he childishly stuck his tongue out at her to mock her.
Angered by this, and to retaliate back at his childish little taunt, Alissa then fired another blast at them. Of course, both boys were able to dodge it, though.
"You know, my love...you really should stop taunting the bad guys, like that. It only makes them want to kill us even more!" said Ethan suggestively to Benny, but in a light hearted way.
"Now, come on, E! Where's the fun in that?" retorted Benny back in the same fashion, but with a bit more sarcasm to it, as he gave him a smug and playful grin.
Ethan only rolled his eyes at him, playfully before shaking his head. Then he quickly jumped out of the way from another attack by Alissa.
"Boys!" hollered Mrs. Weir to the two boys, to gain their attention.
Ethan and Benny then looked over at Evelyn. "Grandma! Now's not a good time, right now!" exclaimed Benny a bit distractedly, as he then fired a blast of his own to counter Alissa's.
"It is, if you hope to defeat Alissa without harming the girl in the proccess!" she sassed back to him, irritatingly. This then caught Benny's attention. Evelyn smiled triumphantly at the surprised, deer-in-headlights look he gave her, then. "That's what I thought!" she said cockily in a triumphantly manner. Benny's cheeks then grew a bit red with embarrassment before once again dodging another attack from Alissa thanks to Rory zooming in with his vampire speed to save him from being hit by it.
"Don't worry, B! Me and the girls got you covered!" grinned Rory proudly to the spellmaster.
"Yeah! We'll hold her off for you, while your grandma gives you the download on how to take this witch out, for good." added Erica reassuringly, as she stood next to Rory, ready to fight. The same with Sarah, too. She stepped up between the two human boys and the evil witch, ready to take on Alissa.
Ethan and Benny both gave the threesome a quick nod, as thanks, for their willingness to be distractions for Alissa, so that they may be able to give Evelyn their full attention on what she has to say. After that, Ethan and Benny then turned to Mrs. Weir, as the vampires went in for the attack on the witch.
"Now, what I'm going to tell you is that while reading that very same book, it also mentioned another powerful ability that the sword has, as well." said Evelyn, as she started her explanation about how to possibly defeat Alissa. "The ability to purge or exorcise evil spirits from things, without any harm to the host or object that is being possessed by it. Only the evil spirit shall be harmed in the process, as it'll be destroyed for good. Never to return, ever again." she explained to the two boys.
Both boys eyes then lit up with excitement and hope. "Really, Grandma?!" said Benny estatically, to which the elder lady only nodded a 'yes' to. This made him even more happier. "Yes! Finally, a way to get Alissa out of our lives! FOREVER!" he cheered joyously.
Ethan couldn't help but to smile joyously, himself, at the news. "This is wonderful news! Now, we have a chance to stop Alissa, while saving the young maiden she's possessing, as well!" cheered Ethan, happily.
Just then, Sarah came crashing in right next to them, with a groan. "Well, whatever you guys are gonna do, do it fast. I'm not sure how much longer we can hold her off for." she said, getting up and dusting herself off. She wasn't able to catch all of what was said to the boys by Evelyn, but she overheard the tail end of the conversation, though.
"We will, my brave friend! Just keep her busy a bit longer for us, milady! Once there's an opening, that's when Benny and I shall strike!" informed Ethan with reassurance and confidence in his voice, but also in a heroic and charming kind a way, too.
Sarah gave a small nod, saying that she understood, before jumping back into the fight against Alissa, after gaining her second wind back after taking the witch's blast at her, that caused her to land by the trio of chatting humans, to begin with.
"Let's just hope that the girl she's possessing isn't evil, herself." quiped Benny sarcastically to his boyfriend as a joke.
The vampires fought Alissa the best they could, but they were no match for her strength. She was able to take them out one by one, eventually. All three vampires laid on the floor, moaning and groaning in pain, as they were still barely conscious and too weak to continue fighting her, any longer.
"Hahaha! Is that the best you can do?" laughed Alissa. "Not even three weakling bloodsuckers are powerful enough to take me down! At least...not without severely harming the girl, that is! Ahahaha!" she gloated proudly to everyone, as she continued to laugh afterwards to taunt them.
But Alissa had forgotten about something very important, while being distracted by the vamps. Or rather...two very important someones, instead.
"They might not be! But me and Ethan, with the help of Amaria's Light, sure are!" declared Benny boldly to her, with determination in his voice.
Alissa then looked over at the two in realization, as she had just realized that she had forgotten all about the prince and his good-for-nothing wizard boyfriend.
Ethan stood there, holding the sword up while Benny stood next to him also holding onto the sword's hilt, as their hands overlapped one another. Both boys wore a determined expression on their faces, as they wanted this nightmare to finally be over with.
"Now, Ethan!" shouted Benny.
Ethan gave a quick nod before using the sword's power on Alissa. The sword began to glow brightly once again, as a warm and loving light was being emitted from it as they used the love that they shared for one another in their hearts to give Amaria's Light, its power. They knew that the stronger the love is, then the more powerful the sword is, as well. Alissa's hatred and evilness would never be a match for their combined love for each other, which was the perfect weapon in taking her down for good, this time.
Alissa eyes grew wide with fear. Somehow, deep down, she too, knew that the only thing that stood a chance in defeating her was the sword and their combined love for each other. "Hey, now! Let's uh...let's talk this over, huh? You know that if you harm me then you harm the girl, right?" pleaded Alissa worriedly out of desperation.
But both boys didn't seem too bothered by this, as they knew what the outcome would be. "Sorry, Alissa! But I'm afraid this is were your story ends! For good, this time!" declared Ethan heroically. That's when he and Benny suddenly released all the stored up light that the sword was emitting, into a ball of light that went flying straight at Alissa and hitting her in the chest. The moment it made contact with her, the ball of light sent waves of light rippling throughout her body.
"AAAAAHHHHH!" screamed Alissa agonizingly. "NO! IT CAN'T BE! NOT AGAIN! NOT AGAIN! AAAAHHH..." she yelled out desperately, as her final cry to the world as she felt herself slip from existence for good this time.
A black mist then came rising out of the girl's body and began swirling above her head. Then the mist began to condense into the shape of a ball before finally exploding outwards and disintegrating into nothingness. Signaling the end of Alissa and her evil spirit, for good.
Once the light coming off the girl's body had dimmed down and faded away, after Alissa's spirit had departed from her body, the girl collasped onto the floor, unconscious.
Worried about the girl, everyone quickly rushed to her aid. It didn't take long, though, for her to regain consciousness again, as Mrs. Weir helped the girl stand.
"My goodness, dear! Are you alright?" asked Mrs. Weir concernedly, as she helped the girl move over to the bed, that was in the small room, to take a seat on.
The girl placed a hand onto her temple, as her head slightly pounded and her body felt a bit exhausted. Other than that, she was alright. "Yeah. I-I'm good. Just a bit...groggy and weak, is all." replied the girl. The moment the slight bit of pounding in her head subsided, she looked up at all the worried faces staring back at her. "Who...who are all of you people, anyway? And...where am I?" she then asked in confusion.
Mrs. Weir smiled, happy to see that young girl would be alright, it seems. "Well, I'm Mrs. Weir, dear. And this is my grandson, Benny and his boyfriend Ethan. And these three are Sarah, Erica, and Rory." she introduced sweetly to her, as she pointed to the faces that went along with the names as she spoke.
The girl then looked over to see the two, who's names were Benny and Ethan. She noticed that they were holding hands together. "I think I've heard your names from somewhere before?" she somewhat recalled, sounding a bit unsure a little at first, while looking at the two said boys, as she tried to remember what happened.
"It should! I mean, you did kidnap Benny and brought him here into this story book, were you then tried to kill us numerous times on the way to rescue him! And then you actually, did manage to kill Ethan, but thankfully Benny's love for him helped bring him back because of Ethan's sword being able to sense his love for him and had granted his deepest desire for him to be alive, again!" blurted out Rory enthusiastically in one go, without thinking first. "Oh! And it wasn't really you who actually did all of that because you were actually being possessed by some evil witch's spirit, who we had defeated awhile back, but she decided to come back to seek her revenge on us by using you and your magic to do it with!" he then added brightly with a big cheerful smile on his face.
SMACK!
"Ow!" yelped out Rory painfully, as he rubbed the back of his head. "What was that for, babe?" he asked idiotically, as he looked over at Erica in hurt and confusion.
"For being such a stupid dumbass, most of the time! That's why!" she snapped back, heatedly.
Everyone else (but the girl) only shook their heads disappointedly at the blonde male vampire. Well, actually Benny just face palmed himself first before then shaking his head at his friend's insensitive outburst. As for the girl, her eyes grew wide at hearing Rory's recap of what happened, as the memories of everything came flooding back to her, now.
"Oh, my gosh!" she gasped surprisingly. "I remember everything, now!" she stated alarmingly.
"Whoa, now! Take it easy! There's no need to overexert yourself so soon, after just having an evil spirit exorcised from your body, like that, dear. You still need to rest a bit." advised Mrs. Weir cautiously to the girl out of concern. She then handed the girl a canteen of water, to which the girl gladly accepted and took a drink from.
"Thank you." said the girl, as she handed back Mrs. Weir's canteen.
"No, problem, dear." replied Mrs. Weir politely back. "Now, then. How about we start with what your name is." she then suggested.
"My name's, Cindy Hamilton. And I'm an Earth Priestess...in training, of course." she introduced to the gang before taking another minute to let the events of what happened sink in a bit, as she looked at her hands sullenly. "It was awful being possessed. Like...I had no control over my body and yet...I could still see and hear everything that was happening on the outside, though. I was a prisoner in my own mind, while Alissa had total and complete control over my actions! I never felt so helpless in life, before!" explained Cindy, on the brink of tears, as she recalled all of the horrible memories while being possessed by Alissa.
"Most of all, I could also feel all the hatred and anger she felt towards you all, too. Mainly, at them." continued Cindy, as she looked over at Ethan and Benny with regret in her eyes, at the end. "She really hated you two."
"Pish! No surprise there!" scoffed Benny sarcastically, in a joking like fashion.
This brought a somewhat small smile to the girl's face, though. "I really am sorry for what she did to you all. I truly tried to fight back against her while trapped in my mind, but she was just too strong. Perhaps if I was more stronger and powerful of an Earth Priestess, like you are Mrs. Weir, then maybe I could've had a better chance at stopping her more sooner, then." apologized Cindy, in guilt towards them.
"Oh, sweetheart. You have nothing to feel sorry about. The things you did weren't under your own actions or intentions. They were Alissa's, instead. And it takes time and plenty of practice to get to where I'm at when it comes to magic. I've been at it for years, dear! So, trust me! I didn't get to the level of magic I'm at now, overnight, you know!" reassured Evelyn sweetly to the girl with a warm smile and bit of that humorous charm of hers at the end, too. "Even my grandson still has a long way ahead of him when it comes to magic, too. Assuming, if he'd stop trying to rush things all the time and actually use his magic responsibly, that is." she then added condescendingly, as she slowly glared over in her grandon's direction with a stern/warning like stare.
Cindy giggled at this. This made Evelyn smile at the girl to see her smiling now.
"So, you see, dear. You getting possessed by Alissa's evil spirit could've happened to anybody with magical abilities, like ours. Heck! It could've even been Benny who might've wound up being possessed by her, instead!" pointed out Evelyn exuberantly, in a playful and joking like manner (much to Benny's dismay).
"Grandmaaa!" whined Benny suddenly, but also a bit embarrassed that his grandma was bashing him in front of her, as well. "Are you done trash talking about your own grandson, yet? Cause it's really embarrassing!" he stated agitatedly with some slight annoyance in his tone, as a small blush spread across his face.
This caused everyone to laugh in the room and for Ethan to give him a quick peck on the cheek, for good measure. "Well, I for one, find it really adorable when your cheeks go red, like that, my sweet." complimented Ethan lovingly to the spellmaster. "Besides! Her 'trash talking' of you, just goes to show you how much she really cares for you, is all, my love." he added sweetly (though he hesitated a bit when saying 'trash talking', due to him not being sure if he understood it right or not, or was even saying it correctly, as well), before kissing him on the cheek, again. Which only caused Benny's blush to deepen, but with a big dopey smile on his face, this time.
Cindy smiled at their affection for one another, but then frowned at all the horrible things she did to them while being possessed. "Still, though..." she said sullenly. "I feel really ashamed for my terrible actions towards you. Even if they weren't my own. I can't help, but to feel as if I should still apologize to you for what she did while using my body as her vessel." she explained honestly with remorse in her tone. "So...please except my dearest apology!" she then rushed out, while jumping up suddenly and bowing her head down in Ethan's and Benny's direction, as a few tears fell from her eyes.
Ethan and Benny didn't know what to say, as they both just took a minute to look at each other in confusion, but also with a surprised look on their faces. The two then smiled at each other before looking back in Cindy's direction. Benny approached the young Earth Priestess in training and placed a comforting hand on her shoulder for support, while smiling genuinely at her.
"Apology accepted!" replied Benny sincerely to her in a kind and friendly tone. "Though, nobody here really blames you for what Alissa did while controlling your body, Cindy. And you shouldn't blame yourself for it, either, as well."
Cindy stood back up straight again with a look of shock on her face at first, but then it turned into one of gratitude, as she smiled happily at him. Over joyed, she then lunged forward at him for a hug. "Oh, thank you!" thanked Cindy gratefully to him. "And I promise, that I'll try not to blame myself for this mess, ever again!" she then promised, as she pulled back from the hug with a big happy smile on her face.
"Sounds good to me!" quipped Benny happily with a smile.
"Excellent!" chirped Ethan cheerfully. "Now, that this battle is over with! We can finally return back to the castle! Where my, um..." he declared proudly, but then grew dishearten as he let out a depressed sigh before saying what he's about to say next. "Next battle, awaits me at." he finally finished, dreadfully.
Benny didn't get it, as he looked at the prince curiously with a baffled expression on his face. "What battle?" he then procceeded to ask.
Ethan gave him this look of dread then, as he sighed once again. "My father." he said.
Benny's eyes went wide with surprise, as he just realized what this had meant. It meant, that he would be meeting Ethan's family for the very first time, since coming here! Suddenly, he started to feel a bit nervous at the idea of meeting his boyfriend's parents, all of a sudden. And from the sounds of it, Ethan's done already told them about their relationship together, as well, as his decision to live in Whitechapel back in his world, too. And judging from Ethan's reaction, it appears as if his father may not agree with what Ethan wants for his life, very well, either.
"He's the only one in my family who has a big problem with me being with another man and refusing to take the throne as Amaria's next king, while remaining in your world, as my new home. Me and him had gotten into a heated debate over it, during dinner the night before our departure. Needless to say, I didn't leave things on good terms with him before we left." explained Ethan guiltily, confirming Benny's suspicions. Ethan then sighed. "Let's just hope Mother was able to get through to him, while we were away." he hoped anixously.
"Yeah! Me, too!" commented Benny with a bit of sarcasm in his voice, as he agreed with him.
He really didn't want to have to face down an angry king, who as an entire army at his beck and call. Like...what if he ordered him to be beheaded or something, just for dating his son?! Of course, that was unlikely, but Benny had no idea how things even worked here, in Amaria! What if Ethan's dad turned out to be like the Queen of Hearts in 'Alice In Wonderland'?! Beheading people left and right, just because they didn't agree with her or had gotten on her bad side (which was very easy to do, by the way, due to her really short temper)! The last thing Benny wanted to do was make a bad impression on his boyfriend's family! Although...it sounds as if his mother and little sister (who he remembers Ethan telling him about, a while back, one time) didn't really mind Ethan's decision and love interest, very much. In fact, they sound as if they might be supportive of it, instead! He hoped. But as for his father? Not so much. He already probably hates him just for making his perfect and well behaved teenage son so rebellious against him?! He just hopes that when they do finally meet that he's able to change his mind about him and will actually turnout to like him, instead! Or at the very least, tolerate him for his son's sake, if he still winds up not liking him very much.
"One can hope." sighed Benny hopefully, inside his head.
Sarah saw the gloomy looks on their faces. "Oh, come on, you gloomy Gus'! I'm sure things have gotten a bit better since we left the castle! King Ross has had plenty of time to cool off and think it over, since then! So...maybe he's done reconsidered his thoughts on the matter, eh?" encouraged Sarah cheerfully suddenly, as she tried to lighten the mood between the two boys, some.
Prince Ethan just stood there, staring at the bright and hopeful smile that she was giving them. Then smiled himself, thinking she was right. "You're right, milady! Perhaps...things aren't so bad now, as they were when we left! Maybe my father has seen the light and will allow me my freedom to do as I please and shall support me, no matter what! Even if he doesn't entirely like it!" he stated brightly in agreement. He then looked over to Benny with that same bright and hopeful expression.
Benny looked back at him for moment, but then closed his eyes and sighed defeatedly at him. But then his expression quickly changed to a more happier and hopeful one, suddenly. "I suppose...there's only way to find out, I guess, huh?" he said encouraginly to Ethan, while smiling.
Ethan and Benny then intertwined their fingers together, as they locked hands, ready for what's to come next once they arrive back at the castle.
And with that, they all left Alissa's place and began their trip back to the castle.
A/N: And that's it for chapter 15 of A Fairytale Kind Of Love II: The Story Continues! :D
Yay! Ethan's alive thanks to Benny's love for him! And Alissa is now gone for good! And they manage to save the girl, who she was possessing, too! It's an all round win for our heroes in this chapter! Huh?! :D
Now, there's just one more battle to face. The king of Amaria himself...Ethan's father. :/ Lol! :P Has King Ross changed his mind about Ethan not wanting to take over as king and wanting to be with Benny back in his world? Or is he just too stubborn to give in and is still dead set on the future he has already planned out for his son?! Only the next chapter will tell! ;D
Until next time, I'll be seeing you all around! Bye! :D
