The excruciating pain increased, even after they arrived at the hideout. At this point, Yukue could not move without twitching and whimpering. "Fumei-san…?" Kusakabe looked at her worriedly.
"Give her to me." Hibari took her in his arms and headed to the older Yukue's room. "Don't come in."
"Yes." Kusakabe closed the door and waited near it.
The room remained dark, but Hibari navigated the room as if he knew it from inside out. Without hesitating, he covered her with a light blanket and sat down, waiting for the painful process to begin.
